161  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2.6.1 on: April 04, 2016, 02:10:05 PM
Thanks for info on green dot.  I switched servers several times.  After switching I would close Electrum and then restart.  Then I would try to transfer some BTC to another wallet.........Error....Missing Inputs  How do I report a bug? Thanks

Can you provide the address(es) from which you're trying to spend the funds from?

I am still not convinced that it is a bug, there's newer version available to download 2.6.3, try that one and see if your problem gets resolved.

If it doesn't then you can report it from your client, Electrum>Help>Report Bug
162  Economy / Goods / Re: Easiest way to sell paper wallets on: April 03, 2016, 06:40:19 PM
Are you only looking to do cash trades (Person to person)? Or do you accept other payment methods? Only asking because if you do accept other payment methods then you can simply load up those bitcoins in a wallet and sell them online without the paper, which would be much more convenient.

And if this is true:
isn't the price of each wallet little high? the bitcoin price is 415 to 420,. why you want to buy your paper wallet for 500$?  I am just wondering. I didn't used paper wallet ever so may be your price is fair.

500AUD(Australian Dollar) is 384 USD (US Dollar) so it's undervalue.
OP if you found any buyer and he is ok to send first the money then it's ok, otherwise i would suggest to contact an escrow so both of you will be safe.

Then anyone would take it off your hands very easily for that discounted amount. But if you're only looking to cash trades, then try Localbitcoins and search buyers near you.

165  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★BetBTC - Bitcoin Sports Betting | More Sports | Instant Payments | Like Betfair on: April 02, 2016, 05:08:39 PM
will betting be done on domestic cricket like IPL which will be starting from 9th April?

For sure betbtc won't miss such an important event in the world of cricket betting. I just hope to see more lines like "toss" "most sixes" "best batsman" etc.  Smiley
166  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Have any of you ever had your Coinbase or Circle accounts closed? on: April 02, 2016, 04:58:24 PM
Yes, my coinbase account was closed due to inactivity, I made it when I started with BTC but realized the importance of private keys after that and stopped using it once and for all.

Thanks guys. If I were to buy $30,000 USD per month, would they close the account and require me to have AML/KYC licenses and policies?

Most definitely YES.
167  Economy / Web Wallets / Is Haobtc legit? on: April 02, 2016, 04:53:57 PM
I stumbled upon their thread here: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly whilst searching for something else and it got me curious and I understand that they seem to be paying some interest on keeping your bitcoins there. And so my question is, is this really legit??

Other threads of them:
HaoBTC launches fixed term deposit account

Anyone invested in it and getting any returns? (Please no newbie vouches.)
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: note to anybody following tipster threads... on: April 02, 2016, 04:34:31 PM
That is the most important thing, I saw a tipster thread like that and pointed it out that they were only picking dead favorites with very small odds but they weren't too happy about that and others followed them blindly.

tl;dr, no body around here listens.
169  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online Roulete With Late Bets? on: April 02, 2016, 04:28:53 PM
Ooops, I meant roulette

Late bets afaik is considered cheating and hence no casino would be stupid enough to allow that. And online casinos have software which makes it impossible.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipster Service Idea... on: April 02, 2016, 04:07:06 PM
Maybe two weeks and tips have to be with an odd around 2.00 or above.

OK so two weeks seems to be the magic number.
2 WEEKS ends in profit tipster gets paid 1/2 of roi

It could work for a small duration like this but both the parties are at risk.

Buyer is at risk#1, the tips failed, he loses a lot of money, tipster didn't win anything but didn't lose anything either.

Tipster is at risk#2, the tips worked, brought a good profit for the buyer, buyer refused to pay anything in the end.

The thing is, this whole selling tips is almost like a con, if you're that good with your tips then you don't need to sell them to make a profit. Just bet on them and live happily ever after.

Here's a tip, bet on Kuznetsova @5.1, she might just do another upset like she did already beating Serena (which I did pick btw). GL Smiley
171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet / unsafe computer on: April 02, 2016, 03:14:48 PM
My computer is not safe at all. For wallet, i use coinbase. I only access it with a bootable USB stick (Ubuntu inside)
I'm yet to invest serious money on Bitcoin.
Any advice?

Use Copay wallet, make 2of2 wallet, put one on your desktop, other on your phone and now even if your computer is infected, no hacker will be able to spend your coins without the other key, which is on your phone.

Or you can use Electrum cold storage on an air-gapped OS but it'll require some work making it safely and then you'd need to keep transferring your transactions back and forth to sign and spend them.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: China will destroy uᴉoɔʇᴉq on: April 01, 2016, 07:24:38 PM
They will not accept bigger blocks because it requires a lot of bandwidth which is expensive for them.

Is that the only reason they're not in favor of it? I also feel like the mining has become too centralized, which is not the way Satoshi would have envisioned it but are bigger blocks a solution for it? Will it make mining decentralized again?
173  Economy / Economics / Re: Dark Markets: good or bad for BTC? on: April 01, 2016, 07:15:00 PM
Voted "I don't know" but kind of sort of feel like it must be bad since almost all the stuff which is sold there is illegal and basically when you buy that someone somewhere gets fucked.
174  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IS THE USE OF INTERNET MAKING YOU EMOTIONLESS? on: April 01, 2016, 07:06:24 PM
Sounds like you are turning into an Internet addict OP, take measures now before it becomes too late.

Just burn the motherfucker down.

But on a serious note, this quote by someone VERY REAL.

What is real? How do you define 'real'? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.
175  Economy / Gambling / Re: 2BET.io - The Cash Back Sportsbook on: March 29, 2016, 05:11:49 PM
The 10% cash back feature is definitely new and attractive as far as sportsbooks are concerned, have only seen something similar in casinos so far.

But wait! There's more.. Cheesy

The KYC requirements are there, as you have mentioned many times and this is something some bettors might be worried about. But still it is great to see more sportsbooks accepting BTC.

GL with your site Smiley

177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Bitcoin cons to watch out for... on: March 28, 2016, 02:38:36 PM
Thankfully I have not yet fallen for any of these scams. Most of these can be avoided except for the exchange scams, you never know which might claim one day that they were hacked.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to teach someone about Bitcoin on: March 28, 2016, 02:31:49 PM
There's no one particular way of teaching someone what bitcoin is, you tell them what you know and for other things there are tutorials, videos, blogs online. Tell them the basics and send them over here for any other questions they might have.

179  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best MONEYPOT Apps on: March 28, 2016, 01:39:23 PM
Betterbets (horse racing game)
Sat.oshi.xyz (Roulette)
Sweepabit
Dust Lottery

These are the ones I like, don't know if there is an app for BlackJack or not but I think it'd be a great moneypot based BJ game.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cold Storage Balance on: March 28, 2016, 01:25:22 PM
How can I do this without importing my current private key into to a "live" computer connected to
the internet? That is to say, even if I build a new Linux computer, install core, import the key,
create a transaction (internet disconnected)... connect to the internet to allow it to broadcast - if
my opsec is broken somewhere - some rogue software could still create an alternative transaction
and broadcast that instead.

Use Electrum, make two wallets, one normal wallet on the offline machine, other "Watch Only" on the online one, make the transaction on the online one, transfer it to the offline one, sign it, bring it back, broadcast it.

Tutorials here:

http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/coldstorage.html#cold-storage
http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/coldstorage.html#create-a-watching-only-version-of-your-wallet

For more security, use an address for one transaction only, send the rest of the balance into the next cold storage address.
