161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can someone please help with most successful technical indicators? on: March 15, 2024, 12:46:13 PM
Hey Folks, this is not for everyone this is only for those who have been using technical indicators for Crypto trading and not bot, if you could please share which is the best trading indicators (most successful with higher win ratio) especially for Bitcoin and ETH it would be really helpful I have been testing few technical indicators in tradingview but nothing has been promising if I backtest the data. I have tried searching this but could find a valid answer.
Of course, you can't find a valid answer because even old traders could say that no trading indicators assure profit. With their long trading experience, they could say that trading indicators are not the only thing that would help a trader to succeed but also, their decision-making and strategies. I hope you don't mind OP but the truth is that there is no such indicator to be found. What we can do is try all these indicators available and take a record of which of them gives you positive results. Then that is what you have to use in all of your trades.
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have to hold on tight on: March 14, 2024, 12:44:25 PM
snip...

I ask for tips from you, how can I be strong enough to resist, and not be tempted by prices that have already increased?

Don't bother to check the market price and never think that you are investing in Bitcoin because at the moment you see it, especially in this bullish time, temptation certainly arises.

But I ask why you should do this. Because there is no wrong about selling as long as we are in a profit already. Besides, there is no rule that stops us from doing this. Well, yeah, it is our choice to still hold and decline to sell. In fact, some people are doing this as well because they don't want to touch their Bitcoin as it was needed already. It is somewhat reasonable, indeed.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Years ago people laughed at me bcz of THIS on: March 14, 2024, 11:17:38 AM
They laugh not because you are buying Bitcoin but because of your wrong assumptions. No, whales never make COVID-19 for Bitcoin, they don't do stupid things just for Bitcoin because whether you believe it or not, these people are not buying Bitcoin alone.

Your post sounds like revenge on them. Not a good idea, honestly. If I were you, kept it secret and let your works show you are right rather than forcing them to believe you. Keep in mind that not all appreciate Bitcoin, so you don't need to feel rejected. Continue doing what you think is right rather than spend your time telling others that they are wrong.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 14, 2024, 07:12:27 AM
50/50 chance, yeah because he just choose between red and back, luckily he won.

However, betting a life savings in gambling is already being irresponsible, what happen to the rule, "gamble what you can afford lose?.. this guy if his bet losses, he would feel the opposite of happiness, it's just insane to be our life savings without an assurance, of course since it's gambling there's no assurance. Honestly, even if the chance is 60/40, mine is 60, it's still a no for me to risk my life savings.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 14, 2024, 06:18:46 AM
And the Mavs won against the Steph Curry and Draymond Green less Warriors. But they have to pay the price as Luka went down with a left hamstring soreness so he will be questionable against the OKC in their next game. And so the triple double streak ended as well.
I hope he is fine and he will be back soon because he is playing at an MVP level this season, he has a chance to win an MVP award.
Luka makes this team better, without him things will be different.

Wait, Gafford's 100% FG percentage streak is still active? This game he is 5-5/

But it was a good performance, their 2 latest acquisition in the trade deadline doing the damage, Gafford with a lot of block shots + 10 points, PJ Washington with 11 points. We do hope that Luka can play against OKC because that is another must win game for them.

Dallas needs a big man and Gafford was the real answer. For him, life is easier as Luka is good at passing on the pick and roll everytime he gets doubled.
Easy money, reason why Gafford FG percentage can't drop.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is worth more than Silver on: March 13, 2024, 02:26:35 PM
It's really good to see it that way because, since the beginning of its trend, bitcoins have been suspicious to others earning just little trust from the people, and look at where it is now. it is more than we anticipated because it became a global phenomenon it became a trend in the past years and its popularity got even more boosted especially in this season where most people speculated it to reach another ATH due to its recent price increase while there are more good news making the investors assured of their future profits in the next months.
Ever bullish, people had thought positively towards Bitcoin but when it dumps and turns bearish, people had also thought the opposite and even speculated a big crash "what ifs".

Not a surprise for me to hear people comparing Bitcoin to gold, silver, stocks, bonds, etc. Because until now, still a lot of people haven't realized that Bitcoin has a fortune. We just remember and appreciate the growing value of Bitcoin during ATH but not during the crisis.

What happens now is also another time to prove that Bitcoin is worth investing in. And this also proves that there is no regret from having and holding them as it continue to grow in the coming years.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will you bitcoin holders sell if we have a major price spike? on: March 13, 2024, 12:49:08 PM
I have been thinking about when to start selling my 2 bitcoins I purchased for $21,000 each average price during 2022 lows.
Selling half of it is not a bad idea, we just consider this securing our profit. If it fall, we never regret from missing the opportunity.
Quote
I keep hearing things like we could spike to 200K really quickly and stuff like that, maybe in just weeks.
Unrealistic...Bitcoin will never go that fast and reach that high instantly. I can't imagine it will happen in two weeks, not even a year. Maybe, it happens in the future but not this coming ATH. Stop believing rumors, $200k is too high.
Quote
My question is when will you guys start to sell if we have a major spike?

I used to think I wanted to sell at 100K, but this is rising so fast I have been thinking more like 150K to start selling.

How will you sell, slowly into a spike or wait for a set price and just dump.

Just think about this - hold as long as you can but don't bother to decide to sell if you already make a profit. If the purpose of buying Bitcoin is to just hold, then hold. But if our goal is to make money, then why not sell them?
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 13, 2024, 11:48:41 AM
How about the Clippers leading by 20 points early but then lost to the Wolves at Crypto arena? They started how in the first half, rushing and leading as high as 20 points. But the Wolves didn't give up, ANT started to cook in the 3rd quarter. And him and the veteran Mike Conley and Alexander-Walker are hitting their 3 point shot. On the other hand, the Clippers are struggling and because of their great defense. There were moments wherein Paul George getting one on one against ANT but the young fellow has good defense and stole the ball from George. So it's almost a 20 point swing in this game as the Wolves won by 18 points.

That's just one of the great performance of the Timberwolves and the reason why they are on the top seed right now. We've seen a lot of crazy comebacks from a lot of different teams most frequently this season, this is just an indication that there are actually no leads are safe until the game concluded. Just most recently Dean Wade made a crazy fourth quarter to come back from a 20+ pts deficit in the 4th and win the game. That was just a few games after LeBron took over the 4th quarter to beat the Clippers in another comeback win.
These are all because the game of basketball today are more fast paced and everyone can shoot 3s more efficiently than before. A 20+ pts lead even in the 4th quarter isn't really safe nowadays. It will only take 1 player in the zone and extra effort on the defensive end can make a comeback win.

Right, we've seen many teams comeback from a 20+ deficit and win the game, so this is just one example. I do agree that they really play good defense on Clippers, and they didn't allow them to score at will. ANT limited Paul George and that was the story of the game. I think ANT really improved a lot this season, he was shifty in this game and George can't keep up with all his moves. He even had one drive going to his left and banking it with his left hand.

And we can't still get over him blocking that shot by Aaron Nesmith.

So they are holding off their position while waiting for Towns to make a comeback in the playoffs.

He is very confident this season playing like an MVP caliber player.  His defense is underrated but as long as he keeps logging that kind of numbers he has been making, they'll be good in the playoffs and hopefully KAT will return. Also, the loss of Leonard in the 2nd half is a big factor against the clippers, he is their top scorer probably the best too, so losing him is really big. According to report, he had a back injury and could not return anymore.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If everyone is holding their bitcoin, will there be a balance? on: March 12, 2024, 08:51:21 PM
I have read several posts encouraging people to hold their bitcoin for the greater good of bitcoin and probably more reward in the future. I have also been able to buy some for myself and also holding. But there is this concern that usually pop up in my head anytime I am meditating and that is what will happen if everyone is holding their bitcoin and no one is willing to sell. This can possibly happen in the future when mining reward becomes too small. I know some people will say that miners will continue to mine and sell to sustain their business but when there is reduced selling, will mining still be a profitable business?

If this question appear dumb, please pardon me, I just need clarifications.
If ever that happens, possibly some of these miners will stop their business and choose to work with another line of business. But on the other side, this will never stop Bitcoin from growing but would affect the transaction confirmations if only a few miners existed. But this won't worry me anything, of course, we can't just stay in investing Bitcoin if it is no longer profitable.

This will tell us that we don't have to rely on a single source of income but instead, we have to do more in order to have financial freedom. And in the case the will fail or stop, we still have other sources to support us.
170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Or Investing which one is better to focus on right now? on: March 12, 2024, 02:54:53 PM
Just consider your personal preference, not the others. If people say they are in trading, I don't think you need to do that because it was suggested but rather look at your capabilities. Only consider trading if you have knowledge or else, better choose to invest. In fact, both are profitable but investing is less risky compared to trading. It is very important to just think about what is your preference rather than what people are saying as they also have different preferences. Even if they say that trading or investing are more profitable, still don't assume that you can be like them as it depends on your actions and strategies.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Get one btc right away or 5 btc with a bet? on: March 12, 2024, 02:24:22 PM
It's not always easy to make the right decisions. Are you a gambler? If you're offered 1 btc without playing or 5 btc by playing (with a chance of 2 to 1). What do you do?

I'm fine with BTC, and I believe in myself that I will be able to grow this amount to more than 5 btc but not in gambling. At the current price which it has already surpass its old ATH, I can already consider it as enough money to start my dream business, slowly but surely I would be able to achieve my goal.

$72k is a lot of money,  some even start at that amount but had become a millionaire overtime, so I know it's also possible with me.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 12, 2024, 01:30:39 PM
Anyway, I'm a Warriors fan, and to see Trayce Jackson-Davis posterizing Victor Wembanyama is just insane. I watched it multiple times and had the same reaction all the time. This kid will be the future of the Warriors, and will keep him for sure. The announcers are in a savage mode on this one. "he put the entire country of France in a basket"? WTF!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Here's the video anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jDegrDZ4og

I was out for a couple of days, didn't watch any game, but when I look at the final score and see this in social media?

Damn, TJD is really specially, another great catch by the Warriors and the more that they give him time, the more he is getting better. But we should give credit to Wemby as well, he is not afraid to be posterized. He will go and chase for that block whoever it is. Warriors needed this big win, to stay close with the Lakers at 10th position and at least a play-in chance.

He was posterized few times but this guy is leading in blocks and making history. Although people loved that but Wemby is still has to be respected with his achievement. I think even great players are also posterized, don't know but I think Lebron and has been posterized too once in his life, even AD I guess.
LeBron James Getting Dunked On/Posterized Compilation ᴴᴰ

Anyway, the Warriors won this game and they were able to avenge their loss, now their ranking is at solid number 10, but I don't want them to end in 10, maybe improve a bit so their chance in the playoffs will increase.

They were struggling to inmprove their ranking from rank number 10. But since there are still plenty of games left, that is not final yet and they still have a chance to rise in standing. As long as the Warriors are going to hold on even without Curry still not playing, they will not slide down in ranking.  Also, them winning games will help Curry to to have more time o recover from his injury as he will not be force to return prematurely.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 11, 2024, 04:47:49 AM
Domantas Sabonis put up incredible stats but he wasn't selected as an All-Star. This could be the biggest scandal of this year. He's breaking record after record this year. He is at the top in double double and triple double stats. Sacramento is also in the play-off picture, yet Sabonis wasn't selected.
I'm watching him today against the Rockets, he's a very special player. He started the game well but then he lost his rhythm and made too many turnovers. The Rockets played better in the second half and it looks like they will win the game. Thanks to Şengün we watch Rockets games almost every night. Smiley
If the criteria was only the stats, sure he will be included in the all star, but it's not that simple, the criteria is more like a popularity contest.

As what we can read from this post.

These are the criteria.

**Performance and Statistics**
**Fan Voting**:
**Player Voting**
**Coaches Voting**
**Popularity and Media Exposure**:
**Positional Balance**
**Team Performance**
**Injury Status**:

On te above criteria, I think there's only one or two where he could obviously at the top 10.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 08, 2024, 12:19:19 PM
I think the kind of simple mistake I did is when repeating the same mistake over and over again. Normally in terms of the basics of the game, I don't have any issue with that since I'm very careful with how I manage everything, but it's on how I would manage my emotion when I'm down big. (worst feeling as a gambler).

I'm sure everyone here had experience getting out of control sometimes when you try to chase your losses and end up losing everything, that's my simple mistake I did that required me a lot time and losing experience before I finally fixed it.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 08, 2024, 11:20:36 AM
The Simmons news was one thing… Shams also reported that Karl Anthony Towns is out for the rest of the season with a torn meniscus. Horrible news for the Minnesota Timberwolves who have been looking like this might be their best chance at winning a championship since the days of Kevin Garnett. Sad news…

But there are reports that he could still go back and it will take at least 4 weeks or a month. And if they get to the playoff regardless of their seeding, chances are KAT will be back in the lineup. Nevertheless it's a big blow to them, although ANT just exploded for 40+ points and with a chase down block to give them a big win.

And probably that's the reason whey the are the underdog in this game. But they proved the odd makers wrong again and there are bettors who go to Pacers knowing that KAT will be out (including myself).

I don't know if he can comeback because according to the official report, his status now is  he is "out indefinitely", which means even if he comes back he is still not 100%. Not sure what would happen to this team but it's a good thing that they have a good standing now, and they need to prove that they can still compete at a high level in the playoffs even without KAT, although they are better with KAT.

Let's see how this team will go after the injury, things really happen as we never know when this injury would hit. Just so sorry for this team, they look like a championship team until this happened.  Sad
176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't understand you people... on: March 08, 2024, 05:31:09 AM
Have you imagined OP if all investors are all together buying and holding? That never works in real life because your buy order just filled when someone is selling their Bitcoin. Buy and Sell is what we see in the market, and with the continuous movement of the market(up and down), we have a chance to earn.
Well, I would say, don't mind what other people are doing. Of course, they will sell when they get a good price to sell and invest again. If you think holding more until the next ATH, that was your choice.

We all have the same goal in investing and that is to earn money. You might be seeing people selling their BTC earlier, you can't say it was wrong when they are in profit already.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive withdrawal of Bitcoin on: March 07, 2024, 11:31:11 AM

Wouldn't this continues practice of withdrawing and selling off whenever the price skyrockets going to slow the volatility of Bitcoin to continue skyrocketing? Since the price automatically starts experiencing a dip after every massive withdrawal.
Remember that not all are able to hold long-term, some are selling off their coins when the price hits their target. This practice is not quite new in the market but I have no argument with such a thing because we know that in order to earn a profit, then we also have to sell them. As long as we are selling high than the buying price, that is a good idea. In fact, we are not meant to hold forever and I don't think there is.

Buy, Hold, and Sell - that is how it works. People are buying during the bear season in preparation for the bull season to make money. Therefore, we can expect them to sell their Bitcoin at this time.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The scam of FAKE fixed matches on: March 07, 2024, 05:09:50 AM
People believe in rumors and that information gets out, the story sells the bet.   The mistake is ever going near a false game or corrupt practise, its not a one off example that being willing to accept this falsehood leads to no good and a trick is played.   These things have been happening going back to the Greek fables, always learn the old stories because some mistakes are eternal in their fallacy and appeal to human nature.

Exactly, greed and ignorance ends up making people blindly believe in this even though they know it's all set up and they believe they are taking advantage of this situation.

Given fixed matches are happening but the challenge is still on how to spot the right side? As a gambler, we should bet on the right side to win, but there's no one is ever consistent with that, the real situation is we are still guessing, so we are still gambling. Better don't believe on people who are selling information about fixed matches as it is just likely a scam, who would sell a fixed match if they can bet on their own, the secret is safe and they can continue to abuse it.... Sometimes we need to carefully analyze the offer, when  it's too good to be true, we should know the drill.

The east seems like it's relegated to either Boston or the Bucks.  I really can't see anyone else truly challenging.  Sixers are interesting because embid can straight dominate but injuries.
I still would not count out the Heat. They've been the dark horse and they've eliminated those three teams on a number of occasions now.

Sure, the Celtics and Bucks literally dominate the regular season. However, I agree with you that we shouldn't dismiss the Heat and other Eastern Conference teams. It's worth keeping in mind that great results in the regular season don't guarantee any success in the playoffs. So even teams like the Cavs and Magic could surprise us in the playoffs.

Who would forget the Heat? This team is proven to be a great team in the playoffs, so Bucks and Celtics should fear them as it's a different kind of game in the playoffs and they might be upset again. Well, there's this Magic and Cavs but they aren't proven yet, they need to make it to the playoffs yet and see if they could pass the first round. I'm sure Heat are not going to end with a good standing, so most probably in the first round they'll be the underdog and I'm excited what team they'll play and will cry.
180  Economy / Economics / Re: Our decision making is responsible for the outcomes in our ways on: March 06, 2024, 08:42:28 PM
Our decision sometimes is wrong and sometimes right. Having poor financial management will simply lead to emptying our wallets and even committing debts. We are lucky if we don't have that kind of attitude toward our money but never we have to ask other people to live like us knowing that it is their life as well. Let us just think that if they are in this situation today, they soon realize about their mistakes in handling their money and change. Some people are just enjoying life even if they have a small income and we can't take and stop that. It is a matter of choice, the good thing for us who have good knowledge in managing our income/expenses, we never struggle hard during crisis.
