1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Crypto With a Job.. on: December 07, 2022, 11:07:31 PM
Does anyone here day trade crypto successfully whilst working a full time job?

I have medium experience with trading crypto and over the last few weeks have been mainly using the TradingView scalping indicator from https://cryptochiefs.io with good results. The problem is that I find it really difficult to manage the trades properly whilst working as they move fast any normally require that I am watching the screen. Kind of thinking I either need to forget about the idea or scale up from where I am and go full time.

Those of you with normal jobs, are you day trading or mainly long term crypto investors/ HODLers?!!
It was not really I called myself a successful trader for I'm not doing it full time as I was giving more time in my job than doing this. But yes, it still doing well. As we are in this situation, we have to manage our time wisely as trading needs focus and I would suggest just trading if you have ample of time to set in front of your computer, during a break, or on a day off. The longer time you spend on the market can give you a way to analyze the movement of the market which is a huge advantage.
1162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A single alt coin which gives you profit multiple times? on: December 07, 2022, 10:37:32 PM
Next to Bitcoin, it was Ethereum which has given me a good profit multiple times. It took time to be honest because Ethereum is good for long-term holding but I could say that Ethereum is always worth the wait. Since the first bull season, I've learned the importance of buying it while the price is down. From then on, I never miss the opportunity to buy during the dip so I'll have a good gain every time the market recovers. I've also gained a promising profit from BNB, XRP and Cardano.
I will agree that ETH and these top 10 coins are good investments for the long-term and short-term but if we talk about if they could give us more profit as asked by OP xxx times, that was very uncertain. They are not built with hypes, not influenced by known personalities that will carry huge price rallies which is why it was impossible, unlike those projects that are designed for hyping, new projects without working products, are mostly like;y it pump multiple times.

I had this experience in the past bull season, I thought it was a scam already but as I check on the exchanges, it is really a big surprise for me to see the value of that coin.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 07, 2022, 04:16:51 AM
I'm thinking of making a parlay bet, with 2 leg parlay SMB and Ginebra, the odds is 1.600. I think that's still attractive IMO knowing how good SMB and Ginenbra. How you guys? What do you think about that parlay, is it risky or the odds are not good?
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 07, 2022, 03:38:23 AM

Today I am feeling lucky so I will push my luck and bet on the underdogs. Total odds of 7.55. Here is my parlay for today:

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers (10-12) will meet the Cleveland Cavaliers (15-9) today at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Key injuries Lakers : Anthony Davis (back), Lebron James (ankle)
Key injuries Cavalieres : Jarrett Allen (back)
Los Angeles Lakers odd sits @2.85 and Cleveland Cavaliersss @1.45. Lebron and AD are probable so I am taking the risk and betting it on the Lakers.

Denver Nuggets vs Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks (12-11) will meet the Denver Nuggets today at Ball Arena.
Key injuries for Denver Nuggets : Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (wrist), Jeff Green (knee), Michael Porter, Jr (heel)
Dallas Mavericks odd sits @2.65 while Denvel Nuggets is @1.51

It's unfortunate that Davis was injured, but this game between Dallas and the Nuggets is quite interesting. End of 1st quarter and Dallas are leading by a single digit only, it's a close game but Dallas the underdog here has a shot of winning the game. Good luck.

By the way, sorry for your parlay, you can try again through live betting.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone know anything about YoBit? The exchange? on: December 06, 2022, 11:48:31 AM
Well, I guess OP you already have some insights about this known YoBit exchange. You certainly are hearing bad, of course, because that is what they experience and the feedback from others. With their negative reputation in the forum, you can't really be thinking that this site can be trusted, of course not. Now, it's up to you then if you will try or not but people have warned you already.

There is no need for you OP to take risks on this site, in fact, there are a lot of reputable exchanges available in the market.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why speculate when you can be at peace with Bitcoin on: December 06, 2022, 11:18:35 AM

There could also be investors who may have bought it at the top, then continue to hold. Or probably sold it later, and then buy when the price goes down like when it reaches $15,500. So there are a lot of strategies that we might have to test out ourselves not just simply buying and holding. And this could also be true for those who want to take risk to speculate about the price even if it is very volatile. Maybe they have the a previous background already.

But for those who doesn't want that risk, so yeah, probably just continue to accumulate overtime, specially if they have investment what they can afford to lose.
Buy the dip and sell at high - that is the strategy that mostly had followed. Unfortunately, they got to struggle in holding which makes them fail to sell high and just sell low. I can see that living here and investing in crypto is hard to make peace of our mind especially if we keep looking and checking the market chart. Because the more we are updated to everyday changes, the more it affects our mindset and emotions. That is why we should not just focus on here but also to have other stuff to enjoy in order to divert our minds.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto for beginners: Don't believe these four myths when learning about crypto on: December 05, 2022, 09:58:39 PM
Everything that you have said OP is usually what people had to think about Bitcoin. Their first impressions are truly negative until the moment they have tried it and found out that they are wrong.
 - a scam, no value, worthless

I ask one of my friends about Bitcoin and he is telling me to stay away from this because it was blahhh, blaahhh...totally negative.
I understand that my friend needs some education and so a lot of people needed this otherwise, they keep thinking negative.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 05, 2022, 07:24:46 AM

If his team does not qualify for the playoffs, then how can you expect they'll do better in international competition? Gilas are probably composed of lots of TNT players because he is the coach, so I don't see the team being a quality team to be competitive enough against the big and more agile teams.

That's not a good comparison, mate.

TNT suffers a blow at this conference and that impacted their rally. Injuries, consistency of import, Mikey Williams drama, etc.

Gilas is also not just composed of TNT players that's why it's not appropriate to have a conclusion like that.

Only a few TNT players are with Gilas, maybe Pogoy, Erram, and  Kib Montalbo are only included in the roster, sorry not so familiar with the current update, that's only based on what I saw in their past games. Personally, what I don't like with Gilas are not the players but their coach, sorry again.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 05, 2022, 04:05:03 AM
He will be slaughtered there. He is not quick anymore; he is already too old for Professional boxing. He should just stick to exhibition games where his health is utmost importance. If Manny wants to die in the ring, he should go back to professional boxing, otherwise, stick to exhibition matches. He can still earn money, be in the ring without the risk of getting countered heavy and ending up in the canvass knocked out for a few seconds. He is a legend but even legends have limits specially if you are already too old for the sports. It is not like chess that even if you are senior citizen, you can still play it. For professional boxing, 38 is too old and Manny is already 43.

If he insists to play pro, I think he is being duped by others around him who just want money from him without thinking the risk Manny will be facing in the pro ring.
His skills are old for professional fighting category because his opponent will take any chance to knockout and defend championship title, even though we want to see professional fight for his last fight but it can't happen because Manny choose exhibition fight, after fight with DK Yoo then there are some other exhibition fight to fight old boxers or other fighters of lower boxer ability.

Well what happens is that an exhibition fight will always have things that do not give us the slightest emotion, it may be that there are some things that we like, I admire the capacity of the heart that Pacquiao has to want to help people for In the middle of that, but I think that a lion cannot stay asleep for so long, it has to go hunting and be a predator, I think that now there are many things to fight age, the abilities, even in the most advanced age, do not he can surrender and say that he is not the same as before, he has to work on his body, he cannot feel old, he is a legend, I think there is even more Pacquiao.

A very interesting fact:

Aussie boxer at the centre of cheating scandal ready to come out of retirement after 15 YEARS for a justice re-match against Manny Pacquiao

Quote
Aussie boxer Nasser 'Skinny' Hussein has hinted at coming out of a 15-year retirement for a re-match against Manny Pacquiao after recent revelations Filipino referee Carlos Padilla cheated during their last bout in 2000.

The WBC governing body released a sensational interview last week in which Filipino referee Carlos Padilla admitted to giving the hometown hero an 18 second count to get to his feet.

Source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-11494055/Nasser-Hussein-ready-come-retirement-15-YEARS-match-against-Manny-Pacquiao.html

That statement of referee Carlos Padilla has some intention, but I don't know what it is, if Pacman will again fight Hussein, I think things will not be different as Pacman had already become an 8th division before retirement unlike Hussein who has not achieve close to Pacman's achievement.

Let's say Hussein was cheated here, I think it's already a tie since Pacman was also cheated when he fought Jeff Horn.

1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 02, 2022, 08:55:53 AM
I'd be lying if I said I knew, most hypes that came out that I knew of literally just popped out of nowhere, metaverse, NFT's, and even p2e games where I was active back then. Sadly enough most of these don't really have a solid foundation that is kept up to date. I'm more of the side that's hopeful that some of the past crazes actually just create a proper solid foundation without all the influence of hype, something we can expect to develop properly even a decade later or something.

metaverse, nfts and P2E games are built with hypes which I think it was very impossible to see these projects without hypes and without the influence of someone who is capable of. Perhaps, it was very common now. They use to have that strategy to easily make a profit. But I never see this become a long-term project because of what it happens to ICO, IEO, and even Defi losses their popularity after the hype. And this can be possible for these new hypes projects. Yes, it is not important to have fame because investors look for the stability of the project, not instability.
1171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: December 01, 2022, 09:32:54 PM
We know that the market is dynamic,as in it changes constantly, and as such,an investor who isn't careful enough to know when he is investing will fall in to heart problems or emotional trauma as a result of a massive fall in value, that is why it is important to condition your mind in a way that you won't get heart failure when you are at the loosing end.
Every investor knows there is risk in the game, and taking the risk is what shows you are ready to eradicate poverty from your life.
In that case, entering trading isn't a healthy decision but it would kill you later.
In fact, there are a lot of ways to improve our living, not just trading alone. Since we have that kind of condition I think moving out and forgetting about trading will keep peace in your mind and are able to see another opportunity better and lower risk than crypto. We have to accept the reality that though we are all welcome in trading, not all are destined to become good traders as well.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful where you connect your wallet on: December 01, 2022, 09:05:13 PM
I had also connected my Trustwallet to many websites, although that was Trusted. And we can reduce this risk, through revoke cash website, which means that we can reduce the risk of being connected to other websites. One of my friend's PC was hacked and all of his funds were stolen, so revoke cash website will be a better option after all these.
Many cases happen that we put blame because our wallet is connected to many websites which is also possible. Hackers can simply wipe out your funds once they got access to your PC especially if you are using an online wallet. We should have to avoid this kind of doing. Extra precaution is really needed to keep safe of our funds and we don't let these scammers take our hard-earned money. Though we know it was a trusted website still we can't assure that we are safe, better if we have to hesitate about the possible things to happen that being sorry later.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 01, 2022, 01:18:17 PM
I don't know what's valid to you, but there were indeed several rumors and articles about Manny's possibility in returning to professional boxing, and this rumors came directly from Manny's camp. I cant say, it make sense if they use this exhibition match to assess Manny's boxing skills at this age. So, most probably Manny will take this fight seriously like he's fighting a professional match, so the team could fully assess on whether or not Manny continue his professional boxing career.

Here we go again. Is this the itch of a fighter? Or is this something that the people around Manny Pacquiao are cooking so that they will make money? Or is this Manny Pacquiao wanting to to come back because he badly needs money? Whatever the real reason is, we will see how he will perform against DK Yoo. This is a very easy opponent for him if he is really training hard for his ultimate come back.

To be fair, 43 is not that old. But he will have to be very picky of his opponents. And he will probably just become a stepping stone for younger boxers. That would somehow destroy his legend.

Money still has a lot of money he is still listed as the richest man in his country he still has a lot of properties, he may have spent a lot of money in the last election but he is still a big celebrity here he can do an endorsement and make millions, his coming back in the ring is for the love of the sport, boxers when they retire never leave the sport, they stay as a trainer, manager, coach, announcer or matchmaker for money since he still has it he chooses to do exhibition because he can is capable, his fans will surely love the exhibition match.

he is not the richest man in the Philippines, maybe the richest celebrity but not the richest man.

Manny is rich because he gained a lot of money being a champion, however, he doesn't have big businesses that will produce big money for him to sustain his luxurious living, so hopefully he will be able to manage his finances well so he will not struggle in the long run.

This fight is for a good cause, and at the same time adds money for him.
1174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really the future of money? on: November 30, 2022, 12:01:36 PM
Some of us are graduate with out job we use bitcoin to survive today... Some people are using bitcoin saying that bitcoin Giving them all they want they don't need another things because they think if they find another thing they won't be engage themselves on bitcoin again..

The introduction of Bitcoin brought about a totally new way of sending and receiving money which leads to companies been form to offer services for this new monetary system. This companies will need workers to help with the day to day affairs of the companies so in some way Bitcoin has affected the job industry by introducing more job into the economy of any nation that accept Bitcoin with open hands, the country mightn't necessary make Bitcoin a legal tender but give Bitcoin a welcoming environment and companies will flow into your nation.

Bitcoin has come a long way and achieved so much in the very little time it has exited, anyone thinking Bitcoin won't last long isn't living in reality as everything is going digital meaning soon fiat paper currency will be out of existence and money like Bitcoin with other centralized money will dominate.
Generally, Bitcoin opens some best opportunities that we ever found in fiat. However, we never appreciate it in its early days of existence, in fact, we ignore this technology until the moment that it boomed. But the situation seems not okay yet, many were still doubtful and even these big companies are not accepting Bitcoin as payment. We can say it was designed as a digital currency but in the overall market view, it was just considered by the majority as an investment. Of course, things can be changed in the future and we are looking for more adoption this could prove that Bitcoin is not a failure but a successful currency innovation.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After FTX collapse, some call for a return to decentralized roots on: November 30, 2022, 11:26:06 AM
Everything happens when it regards to scam exchanges and losing our funds in exchange gives us a lesson to ponder.
It realizing us the risk when we don't have control of our money. Because whatever will happen to them (exchanges) will surely never take full responsibility and give your money back but rather hear many excuses and ended up getting nothing from them. It is very disappointing but we also blame ourselves first because this is not supposed to happen if we never store our money in them.

Whether it was DEX or CEX, this still possible to happen and that is what we need to avoid.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 30, 2022, 09:07:26 AM
Big 4th quarter by the Clippers, they beat the home team (Blazers) with their run in the 4th quarter, 36-17, what a run. Now, it seemed like the number 1 and 2 team before in the West which are the Jazz and Blazers are struggling, they can't maintain their ranking as they are losing some games, especially the Jazz who are in a losing streak.

It's really hard to maintain at the top especially when you don't have enough players to take responsibility because star players also can feel tired and they need to rest well especially after putting on some show to win more games than usual. It's just another bad day for the Blazers because they weren't strong enough to stop the counter of Clippers throughout the game and they lose but they still doing good because both Jazz and Blazers are still in the playoff tree.

Blazers still does not have Lillard, what do you expect?
Even if Simons and Grant will drop 30 points each night, it's still not enough if they don't have their best player.
At least the Blazers are playing their best, they were able to win some games and they are not at the bottom.

Right now they are at top 7 with 11-10 record, still above .500

1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 30, 2022, 08:27:38 AM
Meralco is ahead by double digits now.  61-49 is the score, looks like they'll win this game as they need to since it's just an easy opponent for them.

McDaniels with 16 points and Black with 17 points, what a good start for Black, so far, he is the best player among the local.
Get that live betting guys if you haven't done it yet.

It's still too early to conclude, not anymore a double-digit now. Remember that NLEX came from a big win against Ginebra, so they have the momentum now and they'll play harder to beat any team they'll face, no pressure for them as they are already eliminated if I'm not mistaken.
1178  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC's market price go? on: November 29, 2022, 11:48:16 AM
Some say that the price of $ 15k-$ 16k is the lowest price for bitcoin at the moment but there is still a possibility that the price will drop to $ 10k-$ 13k. And as long as there is still negative news circulating and global conditions are still showing no progress, the crypto market can still get an impact and that will make the crypto market fall even deeper. But if some positive news shows market sentiment for other commodities starting to improve, maybe the crypto market will also increase. But I don't know, the current situation is very difficult to predict and this time, the bitcoin price has really gone wild and our analysis could be wrong in predicting.
I am one of those people, even though I agree that there is a possibility it could drop a lot lower, I also agree that it's not going to be that easy to drop anything under those levels. I prefer to see the good in bitcoin and that means I am always bullish about it. Even when I know that there is a possibility of the price going down, there is also a chance that it could always go up and stay like that and then keep going up.

I like to think about that side of things, it makes me feel a lot better. Yes it is not that easy and yes it will require a ton of things for us to be just going up and up constantly, but why not imagine that's the case, worst case I will hold some more.
Despite the dropping scenario of Bitcoin, the majority are still bullish and remain optimistic. We still believe about "history repeats itself" and after the drop, Bullrun will come next. It is a question of when? But because we are willing to wait and covered with trust, it doesn't matter to us how long it comes. If that will happen by 2025, that's still okay.
That is why I don't bother myself too much with the current drop because I know it was just temporary and it will be over soon.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad beginning for crypto beginners. on: November 29, 2022, 10:50:28 AM

a mistake will provide a meaningful lesson, but when we start we don't have to be wrong first because there are many examples that can be used as lessons, namely from other people's mistakes. A bad start in the crypto ecosystem for beginners is a good start for learning. Beginners must go through the process if they want to reach a safe point.

But that only happens if that person corrects his mistake and finds a way not to happen again. Because what I see is that many people still don't do it, they just ignore their mistakes and do it repeatedly, and no wonder why they keep on losing. And much more not to expect success from them.
If we wanted to reach our goal, therefore, we also have to change our approach toward our mistakes and consider this as a helping tool to improve our status rather than just ignore them.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are crypto devs so greedy on: November 28, 2022, 07:06:45 AM
Of course they are impatient so they want to immediately enjoy the results of the project they have made, most developers take advantage of the ease of making projects so that they are very vulnerable to scams, and when the project looks enlarged and has good prospects, they are trying to cheat for example by adding stock.
True, however most of those so called developers have not really wrote a single line of code before they ask investors for millions of dollars, if they had a product or service ready when they ask for so much money I think I could understand such a petition, but this is not the case and yet investors still decided to invest a lot of money when the only thing the developers have at the time is a white paper and a website, and once they get their goal it is very easy for those developers to just disappear.
They are greedy and smart developers.
This has already happened several times and it is supposed we are aware of it but guess what, many are still falling into scam projects. This will tell us that scammers and greedy developers still winning from greedy and impatient investors. As long there are investors who have the kind of thinking (instant profit), we can really expect that the scam projects will come out and find a victim again and again.
- If we are thinking to benefit from them, they are also thinking about how to trick us.
