1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 23, 2023, 02:44:26 AM
Sacramento Kings are 3rd in Western Conference! Just let it sink in guys because this is a real achievement from a small team that have been working hard in silence for all this years and finally they are having a great season. This small club really deserves more as we see people are back in the court when team is playing and if we take a look 2 years ago on Sacramento games , we will have saw empty seats over empty seats but it's not the case anymore.

Even if they lost last night , they still scored 127 points without having a great defense game because hey , no one is playing defense anymore this season ...
Aside from the Pelicans which I think will be the "Dark Horse" of the league, the Kings are the ones who I didn't thought that will surprise me.

The Kings-Pacers trade that involved Sabonis and Haliburton is the first time that I see both teams benefitted from it. I mean often times, we always see trades where one team is obviously winning while the other one is losing. On this one, both teams benefitted and they are performing better than they was last season. Haliburton is leading the league right now in assists with 10.2 APG while on the other hand, Sabonis is the one who is leading in rebounds with 12.6 RPG. Both teams benefitted from the trade and now Sabonis and Haliburton are playing on their best season currently.

The Kings finally after the playoff drought has the change to enter the playoffs this season. With them at the 3rd spot, there is a high chance that they will enter. I just hope that they will perform the same or even better when the all-star game ends because I already saw some teams who played very well before the all-star game and ended up badly and performed awful after.

They will be in the playoffs but honestly it's a different story when they are in the playoffs. This team's lack of defense is not something I admire during the playoffs as we know how physical the game in the playoffs. They need to improve their defense first as that's their weakness based on my observation.

I like the ball movement, they are like a young Warriors, but the Warriors are a team who have a balance offense and defense.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 20, 2023, 02:14:39 PM
Good start for Inoue, directly he proceeds to challenge the champion.

I guess this is the time that we will see a good betting odds for Inoue, because he is up against a champion, and if he will be the favorite, I believe he will only be a slight favorite. However, as a fan of Inoue who lives to bet on him getting great value, I'm hoping that he will be the underdog so a moneyline bet would be very attractive.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: January 20, 2023, 01:24:11 PM
And don't forget that bookies aren't there to giveaway free money, their main goal is to collect money, so it's safe to say that these bookies are just misleading us. Still it's understandable and reasonable to see that Devin Haney has been favored as the favorite in the bookies list, factors are too many to mention and some are based on their recent performance which dictates that Haney indeed got the upper hand compared to Loma.
We must remember the main goal of sportbooks is not to give precise odds but to make money, generating precise odds is just a means to an end, and while Haney should be favored, sportbooks could give even higher odds for Haney to win by virtue of knowing the fans most of the time make bets on the favorite and it is on their interest to take advantage of those tendencies.

And while Lomachenko is a great fighter the advantage Haney has in height, reach and age may be too much for Lomachenko to overcome.

Yes, we all know that bookies odd listing is more of a trap hehehe, it's really very close that it's hard for us to bet specially the under and over rounds or even the ML because of how this fight is very close.

And while Haney has all the physical attributes here, like height and reach, but Loma still deserves some recognition that we might see the best version of him after his comeback. He is not known of "hi-tech" for nothing, he knows how to offset his opponents advantages and turn the fight to his favor by his foot work and shot choice and accuracy.

That's why I still like him despite being the underdog in this fight. Haney is undefeated and is currently in his prime, but Loma is a methodological fighter, he usually starts slow but he knows how to beat his opponent by exposing their weakness in the later rounds. Actually, Loma's value will not drop if he did not lose to Lopez, but I find that fight a close one, so I believe Loma is still here and his chance of wining is still decent.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of NFT on: January 20, 2023, 04:49:14 AM
What do you guys think about the future of nft?
Many people think that nft is useless digital trash, but I have a different idea from them.
Maybe you are but can't deny the fact that many of these NFTs are worth nothing to invest with. You can't hide the fact that many investors can't sell their tokens because nobody buys them. But if you insist that you are right, then prove it.
Quote
This is because many famous companies and platforms around the world employ blockchain developers and create related nfts in various fields such as art and sports.
I think it's now Nft's turn, just as Bitcoin has been treated as digital waste and its price has been upward.
Tell me what you think
It can't be enough, in fact, those previous NFT projects have similar cases and make people invest in them because of the said promise but unfortunately, they fail to fulfill their promise and turn into scams. Trusting them back again is really hard, we'd rather put money into projects that are already have a working products for assurance.
1065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone out there doing money by trading? How? on: January 19, 2023, 12:32:10 PM
It is possible but it is not easy, depending on the market the failure rate of traders can be between 80% to 99%...

No one can deny the fact that in a bull market this percentage may be higher than in a bear market. And everyone who has experienced at least one cycle remembers how in order to get a profit, you just had to buy some kind of coin, the price of which was higher literally the next day. But with the onset of a bearish cycle, all the profit received was usually lost.
Trading results are better during the bull season but a trader must have to find a way despite the difficult times like we have these days. Either it was just 3-5% earnings per day still big enough to survive. Otherwise, we push to change our job to become a holder.
We could say it was not a good time for traders but I see some people are still enjoying this and still earning, and they have no complaints about it.
1066  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you sell off during the 21k price breach. on: January 19, 2023, 12:00:37 PM
I'm not but for sure many have been selling off their Bitcoin for they are already tired and bored of waiting for this moment to come. Like if you are buying at $18k, you'll certainly be thinking about it just to get some profit. I consider this as an opportunity either which is something we don't need to ignore especially if you are just a short-term holder.
We are turning back low again, it is another opportunity to buy again. We have to take advantage of the volatility of the market whether to sell or buy.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 19, 2023, 02:18:06 AM
A couple of televised games on ESPN tonight. The first one is between the Hawks and Mavericks. Not too exciting but at least there’s Luka and Trae. The later game between the Timberwolves and Nuggets is a great one to watch. Both of these teams are young and hungry. There should be some nice highlights and good competition. The Joker seems like he’s back at full strength after his last performance.

I find the first game more exciting than the Wolves vs Nuggets game because honestly, I am not expecting that it will be a close game, most likely, the Nuggets will just dominate again and will win by a huge margin. Well, I hope I'm wrong though so we will see an exciting game.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 19, 2023, 01:45:17 AM
Lol. What the hell is happening with SMB management even Terrence Romeo is included in the trade rumors. I'd rather change the Coach than trade these key players. If this will happen, I'm not surprised if Fajardo will be traded as well after a few more years without getting a championship. They even traded Cabagnot and Arwind Santos before, so they will do the same. As usual, trades will always be approved, under the table?

Alex Cabagnot and Arwind aren't in the same league and status as June Mar Fajardo in terms of being San Miguel Beermen. The Kraken is in no way will be traded even at his post-prime performance since he's already a Franchise Player and the achievement he brings to the SMB are all spectacular.

Romeo is not even an original Beermen and is now injury-prone therefore, he's always possible to be put on the team's trading list.

About changing the coach, although others are in favor of that for a long time already, sorry but Coach Leo Austria does have something magical stuff on him why he remains as their coach. Cheesy

They had reached the semi finals last conference, if they didn't face the Bay Area in the semi, they might likely be in the Finals. It could be Gineba vs SMB which I believe is a good match up, the only advantage is that Ginebra had a good import while SMB has an inconsistent one.
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: January 18, 2023, 01:28:55 PM
I am just laughing at people's comment on here, we are all here to make money whether you like it or not, I've heard enough of some coins are shit and some are better, since 2018 the least coins that almost everyone condemned did so well than the almighty coins that everyone was talking about, it's always about the money, do not be fooled, invest and take profits, simple as that...

But unfortunately, greedy people will never be satisfied earning a few bucks, seeing their investment will just grow x10 is not acceptable but wanted more than x1000.
In this bear market I have made 10x from two artificial intelligence projects and took my profits to invest in other altcoins I plan to hold for the next bull market, timing is everything.

Earning x10 during this bear season is not too easy. But can be possible if we are too smart to take action depending on the market situation.
In order to earn profit here, we have to take a higher risk. In fact, some people invest what is hot in the market and are promoted by influencers.

You have to be careful when choosing altcoins for long-term holding, most of them are worthless and scam.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is investing in ethereum safe? on: January 18, 2023, 12:56:50 PM
what do you think about incoming eth unlock in March ?  There will be huge amount of eth unlocked , so probably it  will be thrown on the market , so price might go down or ?
Where did you get that information? I haven't heard about this, might be another market assumption or something just rumors.

Anyways, whether the price of ETH will dump or pump, people will still trust this project. I have no clue what you are thinking about but there is only one thing could say, ETH is one of the most promising altcoins in the crypto market, and investing in this is safe and won't disappoint you.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 17, 2023, 09:55:10 PM
2022 was certainly a bloody year for bitcoin investors and many drama played out in the crypto space but all that said we have manage to cross the year successfully to 2023.

Perhaps, we can't assume also that 2023 is a good year for crypto but rather expect some dumps. We can't say that we already pass the bear season because even though we saw a few pumps in the market today but still not enough to make us say that we are moving to another phase of the market (bullish). I don't find this become a reason to sell my Bitcoin but rather to keep its hold. The pump is tricky and it is possible will drop again. Maybe I well sell my Bitcoin if the price of Bitcoin will reach $50k again.
1072  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: January 17, 2023, 01:22:47 PM
Whatever trading any one wants to engage himself with should be very careful on the amount they wants to trade with because I believe too well that trading is likely to be gambling, any amount they have lose while trading can't never be recovered so I am on the Opinion that only 20 percent of their capital should be used to trade and 80 percent should be reserved to buy and hold some good amount of bitcoin or any another reputable coin out there.
Holding is always safer, and better in any way you look at it.It has less risk involved. When I started Bitcoin, i thought the whole thing about it was trading, but when I lose three times,I had to think of other ways of keeping it and avoiding lose, untill I discovered that you can also hold coin for future use,and ever since then, holding has being what I concentrate on because it has less risk, and it is also safer.
But before holding,it is good to look at the project critically, whether it has any chance of becoming rich in the nearest future, because it can be so annoying when a project becomes dormant.
Holding is somewhat of a sacrifice and patience but after all, it gives us benefits and huge rewards. But guess what, it is really hard for all of us to do this. And this is because we usually get affected by the FUDs driving our minds to think negatively as well then decided to sell instead of holding. If we know ourselves that we can do it (holding), investing during the bear season is a good starting point but if we can't, this will only give us losses in the end.
I would say that Holding could be better at a specific time but not always.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 17, 2023, 05:27:13 AM
It appears that Tank vs. King Ry will end very much similar to Crawford vs. Spence. They avoid each other because they are afraid that losing would affect their attractiveness to promoters and lower their demanding price during contract negotiations. This is very bad for the fans and very bad for the sport of boxing. The best boxers should be fighting against the other best boxers. Boxing's only chance for the greatest superfights on 2023 might only be from Naoya Inoue.

I don't know if both are being really protected by their promoters, or the boxers themselves are afraid to have their 0 gone. We've seen a lot of great boxers, who lost their 0 and yet still the cash cow, for instance Canelo Alvarez or even Manny Pacquaio. I think still boils down to money and the purse split and which network are going to carry this fight.

I agree, however, not all boxers can have similar careers as Canelo and Pacman and look at who Canelo and Pacman fought. Also, whatever happens Canelo and Pacman have become known names already. I reckon Tank and King Ry are not much known outside the world of boxing.

In any case, the skeptical me thinks that this ultimatum is Golden Boy's trick to withdraw from the deal. The reason, yes, I said it already. Golden Boy can make more money from Ryan Garcia with an undefeated record than with a loss in his record.

That's very unfair, they are making it a business at the highest level, it makes boxing not fun anymore because champions will just have to cherry-pick their opponents and win easily. No much risk, for the champion, he can maybe make a small amount of money compared to fighting a champion but at least that money could come consistently due to his value.
1074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 17, 2023, 04:59:02 AM
Bad decision by the coach of Bay Area, they didn't play Powell with heavy minutes knowing this is the last game. If only he was given a chance to played heavy minutes, certainly there's a good chance they can make it a close game and maybe win the game. If only Nicholson wasn't injured, things could be different, I mean Ginebra can still win but it will not be a blowout win.

35 minutes of playing time aren't that bad. The Coach of Bay Area Dragons knows what he's doing. Smiley

When Dragons already know that they can't keep up with Ginebra even how hard they tried, there's no point in risking Powell more.

There's a better stage for the Dragons compared to winning the PBA Finals. They need to become healthy on the real stage, the EASL Championship series.

Maybe the timing is just wrong because they didn't give him enough minutes in the 1st half. He only played more when the lead was not manageable anymore, if there was a time restriction, then he should not be played 35 minutes.

Lam has the longest minutes with 44.

1075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is ok to sell your Bitcoin. on: January 16, 2023, 09:34:52 PM
In the current situation, selling is not the best option but of course, if it is really necessary to sell them, then just go.

If you are buying them at the $18,000 you are earning already, it is somewhat not a bad decision either. If you can hold it long and wait for the next bull season, it is really more profit to get. But of course, we can't simply think that it goes high continuously this time that is why we can see that some people are selling some of their Bitcoin and I know they will still use it to reinvest when the price drops back again.

I read this article about the import of SMB, seems like we have a good import that could match up Brownlee if he will play.

Chris McCullough sends early warning to Ginebra after winning 2022 Commissioner’s Cup

Much deserved brother but I’m coming back to commissioners cup to take the crown back

About the start of the next conference, maybe it will start soon as imports are already showing their presence.
It's not a problem if it will be a short conference as long as we will see the Finals.
After a big win by Ginebra, can we still expect them to win next conference?
SMB definitely will come back as they had a bad conference, they were suppose to be the best team in the PBA, but when Brownlee came it, things had really change.

We might see interesting match up but to my knowledge it will be a short conference or there's some adjustment that PBA needs to do, giving way for the FIBA league, I see updates regarding to those upcoming imports we can only judge them one by one once they already playing with their respective squad.

Let the Gin kings celebrate first. They deserve the party after winning the game in the final do-or-die game.

Of course, let them enjoy for their hard earned V.

Trade rumors before Governor's Cup. Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter and Mo Tautuaa are reportedly in a trading block to acquire Robert Bolick, Joshua Munzon and Isaac Go. They are willing to give up their key players to acquire the younger players. Which is fine, they are aging and after all, business is business. Tautuaa is rumored to go to Magnolia. What are your thoughts on these big trade rumors? Yay or Nay?

SMB probably are rebuilding, they are letting go of their old players and are just investing on the young ones.
CJ will probably lead the team along with JMF. Also, maybe Romeo will be traded too.

1078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors on: January 13, 2023, 07:05:32 AM
I wish this is indeed what we are truly experiencing nowadays and not just another traps. there are good act towards bitcoin and ofcourse followed by altcoins but the question is that are we truly having bull run? or just that whales is dealing with another whales for manipulation?
in this that i am scared , because we are still in bearish season , as I know that bitcoin is still year away from halving , so chances of hitting these? I'm not sure if the right way to treat the market now, just be careful guys and be ready for what to happen.
Well, I don't feel there is a trap waiting for us investing in Bitcoin.
I don't have any deal with the whales not I was worried about the manipulation because I was certain that Bitcoin will pump on its own when the demand and adoption grow. The time hasn't come yet, dumps are still what we see in the market but I was sure that this soon will be over and able to reach back high again just like the old days. Maybe I was not careful indeed, but I have trust in Bitcoin and I'm to face the consequences of whatever will happen in the future.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: January 13, 2023, 06:36:44 AM
Hi, I'm new to here. So just want to ask your help or guide.

I have currently 800$ worth BNB. These are got from NFT that I sold back months ago that I got from airdrop. So what i need to know should I convert it to stable coin or should I invest it for bitcoin? Because my friends say that BNB don't have a future anymore. So I'm fully worry about this.
You don't have to worry and your friend is not telling you right. Perhaps, nobody could tell what will happen to BNB but I strongly believe this is a promising project, and Binance exchange will keep that. But if we think about a secure investment, Bitcoin is been known for it, and converting your BNB to BTC is a good choice either than stablecoins (if ever happens).
https://tradersunion.com/interesting-articles/what-is-binance-coin/

You'd rather stay away from the people who discourage you from investing in BNB. It was not shitcoins that we have to be afraid of.
1080  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 12, 2023, 09:47:21 AM
First of all, when I see the poor, one thought always comes to my head, which is, "Did these people just choose to be poor?" When I see the rich people too, I begin to wonder: "Did they also choose to be rich?" is not that simple.

But I have come to understand that richness is from the mind (mindset), and poverty is also from the mind.

It is not our mindset, it is a capability of a person. Some live poor, their beginning is poor already, though they wanted to become rich or even just have a better life but because of their situation, it is only just a dream. While those who are born rich already, simply have the opportunity to sustain and grow their money more.
Though we can say that everyone has the opportunity to become rich and achieve their goal. Yes, there is but we can deny that it was a big challenge for the poor people and some of them quit and are just contented with what they have today.
