1601  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just got into BTC on: August 21, 2019, 08:53:13 AM
Hello boys, I received a big amount of money in BTC & decided to keep it instead of putting it into my bank directly.
How fortunate you are Shocked! I wish there is someone who also send me a big amount of btc Grin. Anyway, on the side of not placing even some of your coins to a bank (converting it first of course) hmm I don't say that it was a bad idea and I'm not saying it is a very good one. For me it was on neutral because what you did may lead you to earn profit faster but all of your money remain at risky situation. Just be wise on money management.
I don't know what to do anymore, wether holding or getting it into tether. Help
Don't yet invest to altcoin because it's a little bit more complicated than btc. You'r new in here so much better if you play safe at least for now. Continue holding while learning more about crypto Smiley. Good luck.
1602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Dominance on CoinMarketCap on: August 21, 2019, 01:05:15 AM
Considering there are thousands of coins and tokens out there, what sort of dominance should Bitcoin have which shows that even though it remains the dominant force there is still a lot of space for others to narrow the gap?
IMHO, nothing! Bitcoin already have everything — the highest price, investors and adoption. There's no need for btc to feel threatened anymore because he is currently unbeatable. Altcoins should do a lot of work first if they really want to kick btc on his throne but how? I don't know either (even Ethereum, the closest to him, was still no match), hmm maybe if the world suddenly got brainwashed, sell all btcs and buy a particular alt lol Grin.
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beauty Contest Gambling on: August 20, 2019, 03:37:42 PM
Well, there's social media now right? Organizers always make sure they create a lot of buzz before the main competition starts with all these events and interviews involving the participants. If you pay close attention, you'll probably have a better idea on who to pick.
Ahh, I see, so you just only base on the rumors and opinions spreading around. How about pre pageant (e.g. tours, photoshoots, reach out programs etc.)? I think that would be an effective source of info before choosing your bet. What do you guys think? However, this would be useless if we assume that the schedule of placing bets should only be done on or before the beauty queens gather and start to do their business. So I guess everything still depends on the rules being said by the initiator of the given betting game Grin.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beauty Contest Gambling on: August 20, 2019, 02:17:47 PM
Excuse me, I wonder if there is really a sportsbook or any gambling site which offer such kind of game? Or this can only be a game which you can establish on your own? I mean, doing it only for fun? Though this is not my first time to here a concept like this, I'm still curious Grin.
I were to do it one day, my major criteria for choosing would be Popularity and Wittiness.
Hmm, aside from Philippines, Columbia and Venezuela what are the other powerhouses when it comes to beauty pageants? Popularity could be a great criteria for choosing your bet but how will you able to pick the right one before the pageant starts? What will be your effective basis to do so? (Hmm, I wonder Huh)
1605  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PSA: You can buy from Shopee using Bitcoin on: August 20, 2019, 09:57:46 AM
Actually, it's so cool to have it because it gives you an impression of digital living. Besides, makakatulong din ito sa pagpromote ng crypto dito sa bansa which will lead to wider crypto adoption Smiley
1606  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY 21 MILLION BITCOIN CANNOT SERVE THE WHOLE WORLD on: August 20, 2019, 04:12:32 AM
In all fairness, I find your title interesting to discuss with. Here are my insights why 21 million btc can't reach out every single people in this planet. These are the reasons IMO:

1) Not everyone of us like btc or crypto in general, there are exisiting people which hate it and refuse to use it (e.g. bankers)
2) Not all nations have the required technology capable of using crypto. In short, technological gap. Best scenario is the life of rural tribes all around the world.
3) Even though we assume that world's population is only to 21 million, each one of us might still don't have a chance to get ine because of losses due to forgotten private keys etc.
4) In this world, equality is just an ideal concept. There will be always top and bottom and it all started because of greed. Many got nothing, some got ample and few got plenty. (I hope you know what I mean)
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: August 20, 2019, 01:21:26 AM
Of course we can't be sure, however, the fight was not really that close, Andy Ruiz beat the shit out of him to be honest, I don't see why it's going to be any different in a few weeks/months.
I agree mate! If Ruiz was able to beat Joshua once then there is a high chance for him to do it twice. I'm an AJ fan to be honest but after I watched how Ruiz humbly knocked out Joshua my perspectives on boxing change. That made me realized that the fate of a certain match doesn't depend on the belts you hold, on the fame and most importantly doesn't depend on the physique (as long as you're in th same weight class of course lol Grin). At the end of the day, your victory was dictated by your hardwork and hunger to win; and that's what I saw from Ruiz. Joshua lost probably because of overconfidence, actually I remembered one of their press con where Joshua gave his two belts to Ruiz and have a picture of it. For me that's insulting but thank God Ruiz wasn't offended at all, that's a sneaky way to underestimate your opponent tho.

Let's admit it, Joshua is overrated while Ruiz is just underrated.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 19, 2019, 05:42:38 PM
[snip]
What a coincidence! We've got the same team interest. Here's what I think, USA will now having a hard time to take the crown (as usual Roll Eyes) this year's World Cup because of talented all stars representing other nation. We should look forward to Jokic with Serbia which is now Rank 2 and MVP Giannis with Greece. Aside from those teams, I'm getting a little bit curious also to team Japan, it seems they got even stronger this year huh.

Dream Team! This team is the real life manifestation of being invincible, the tip of the pyramid in the sport of basketball. Sounds promising, right? However, I think they are now pressured because of the threats present. I'm now having a little bit doubt to them right now but let see what happens Smiley.

1609  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Muli natin bisitahin ang Phishing at iba't ibang uri nito. on: August 19, 2019, 08:19:20 AM
Kaya dapat next time if ever na magclick tayo ng link make sure na trusted ang mga ito dahil baka mamaya ito pa ang makasama sa atin.
Just to be clear, hindi pa naman talaga totally harmful if accidentally click a fishing site (AFAIK). Your misery starts once you leak your own info (in which you are unaware of) through filling up different forms or yung moment na nag log in ka sa nasabing site. Ibang level na siguro ng hacking yung pag may naclick ka then boom! Alam na nila ang lahat sayo including your exact location (yung katulad sa sci fi movies). My point is huwag masyado maparanoid every time you'll use jnternetbut well tama ka namam sa part na ibaying pag iingat ang kailangan Smiley.
1610  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: August 19, 2019, 03:16:34 AM
[snip]

I hope the volatility stays for long, its the best playground I ever had.
Why thinking it wouldn't, of course it will!. Volatility in price of bitcoin or even any other alts in the market is already in its nature. Yeah this is one of his attributes we really love the most and I'm sure it will stay for a very long time unless btc finally meet its final supply; that will be a different story since the demand will surely matters by that time. But anyway, don't worry either because it will take more than our lifetime (in our generation at least Grin) to reach the hard cap, it was estimated to reach in 2140. So you still have plenty of time to make the most of your holdings Smiley.
1611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 18, 2019, 11:49:34 PM
[snip]
Some teams might be holding themselves and just having a plan whether they wanted to be in the upper bracket or in the lower bracket, we still don't know what they're plan is. Also, maybe that is the reason why Liquid, is in the lower bracket. They have their own reasons and we will be seeing their real plays or strats in the group stages.
But still, I think going to the lower bracket is not a great idea because the disadvantage is there, you can't disregard it on calculating your chance of winning. If Team Liquid will lose on their match against Fnatic, which is a team you can't underestimate, then it's time for them to say "Bye bye" lol; unlike on the case of upper bracket teams where they still got one last chance to make their sweetest comeback once they lose Cheesy.

Whether they intended to fall to the lower bracket or not, the clear thing here is they are now at risk of getting eliminated.
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: August 18, 2019, 01:43:13 PM
Before cryptos, it was hard to bet in my country because we have some strict laws against casinos and the IPs usually were blocked
Even though I can say that I'm already old here in crypto world and gambling is not a new thing to me either, I still remain playing cards using fiat along with my friends. Actually, if I really want to gamble then there would be no problem at all since our country are not too strict and I'm in a legal age already. It just happened that my heart is not yet ready for taking such thing as a career. I mean, I'm just a an occasional gambler in nature and don't have any plans to take it on the next level (at least for now) thus I don't have the mindset of taking it more seriously from the first place. Besides, I'm getting busy nowadays so I can't afford time (and money as well Grin) for that stuff.
1613  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Makakatulong ito sa lahat ng Bounty Hunters on: August 18, 2019, 11:07:20 AM
Why I can't open the website, it says that its IP address can't be found Huh. I also find it interesting kasi kaya gusto kong bisitahin. Imagine, with this, malaki ang magiging adbentahe dahil magkakaroon ka ng ability to foresee the upcoming campaigns here. Tsaka nagsisilbing way na rin ito para makita lung maganda ba talaga mag invest sa naturang project or not. Sayang Sad. (Try ko na lang siguro mamaya, baka mahina lang ang signal ko kahit hindi naman talaga)
1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 18, 2019, 01:24:52 AM
Current stand at the moment and it seems Chaos strike is the first to go to the airport. Cheesy
Yeah! I overheard it when I was watching yesterday during their live game against TNC. Whether win or lose, they'll become last on the standing thus getting eliminated.
Another thing that I am surprised is that Liquid is below TNC, I am not expecting that, I am expecting more to them especially that w33 is their midlane.
Also, what I'm not expecting is that TNC is below of Mineski Shocked. That team of ours is always underestimated but I guess we should now start to change our impression to them because they are proving that they are not a cheap competitor (hello, they're on the upper bracket lol).
1615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi to "Reveal Idenity" on August 18th on: August 17, 2019, 01:16:36 PM
Can't really express anything but skepticism and bullshit, a PR stunt.
Reveal site: https://satoshinrh.com/
Assuming I don't believe that it was impossible for Satoshi reveal himself and also disregarding all the uncertainties, I may say that the first article is very convincing tho. However, when I visited the second website, I found out that you must first subscribe before reading the part one of "My Reveal". WTF! Though I strongly feel that it was a fake news from the very beginning, my impression to it get even worse after knowing such thing. Anyway, guys don't waste your time and never feel hopeful as well. I guess the reason of the mastermind behind this stunt is just to increase the volume of traffic on his site (who knows?). Well, I don't care anyway Roll Eyes.
1616  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Baguhan - gusto matuto mag trade on: August 17, 2019, 10:31:22 AM
Hello kabayan! We're both, gusto ko rin kasi matuto mag daytrade but as of now hindi ko pa ito ginagawa dahil walang capital and walang time. So what I am doing right now is researching lang muna and playing Bitcoin Flip. This app is just a simulator of actual trading at real time pa ang price updates. Just connect it into internet and there you have it! Napakahelpful nito lalo na kung ikaw yung type ng tao na mas mabilis matuto sa actual rather than theory Smiley. I-try mo kabayan, maganda itong training ground before entering a real crypto exchange.
1617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hi My name is Ares, I am doing an educational video about "private key" on: August 17, 2019, 05:53:50 AM
Hi, odolvlobo, thanks for the corrections.
I am trying to find a simple way to explain some basic ideas without touching the technical sides.
Finding some simple explanations to help people get some basic information is my goal for making the videos.
In future episodes, I will definitely improve the content quality.
Your post is very helpful for me.
Thank you so much for sharing.
I know your intentions are good but like what others said, it has been discussed here couple of times already so don't feel bad if it seems other people doesn't fully appreciate it. But here's my tip, why don't you create a thread in your respective local board regarding this topic. I'm pretty sure your fellow countrymen, especially the beginnners or the ones who can't comprehend English language, will be glad to read such informative post. Good luck Smiley.
1618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lomachenko-Campbell Unification Fight on: August 17, 2019, 04:22:26 AM
I am not familiar with Campbell but I can see that he is a tough contender too. This is for sure an exciting match because I feel that this one can really match with Lomachenko. Twenty two fights with 20 KOs Shocked! No doubt that he was a killer puncher so Loma should be very careful, not mentioning that he got all the advantage. I can't wait to see if Loma can show his taunting attitude this time, hmm I don't think so Grin.
1619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippine Basketball Association Finals Discussion on: August 17, 2019, 03:09:21 AM
Edit:
Romeo is the finals MVP
I'm not bitter or whatsoever but for me Romeo will never ever reach that spot if he didn't moved into SMB. If we compare this scenario to NBA, it was like KD moving to GSW Roll Eyes. Well, I know that everything was fair because for sure he also sacrificed a lot of time and effort to attain the MVP title. However, I (probably some of you as well) still can't get rid of my mind the idea that he only just used the strength of SMB — "dikit sa malakas" as we say Grin. Anyway, congrats to SMB once again ans also to the winning bettors!
[snip]
PBA made the appropriate move already, Arwind Santos was fined Php 200,000.

Here's the full story from their official site. https://www.pba.ph/news/pba-fines-arwind-santos-200k-for-offensive-behavior
Yeah! That's enough. The important thing is Santos already apologize to Jones. Source

Let's choose to forgive and forget. LIfe is short so stop holding hatred Smiley.
1620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 16, 2019, 07:28:16 AM
But I agree that Mineski seems to be the weakness of TNC. I think it's because that they used to know each others playstyle and Mineski knows how to counter the playstyle of TNC.
For me they are not definitely the weakness of TNC because we all knew that they're way stronger than that. Imagine, they can be able to beat OG but lose to their fellow countrymen; so funny to think, right Grin?. I also watched their game yesterday and as I read down the comments they said TNC intended to lose or in our term it was called "bigay" or "benta". Why they did such thing? No one knows but the most possible reason is to keep Mineski alive and got a higher chance for the Filipinos to win the championship (IMO).
