1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next crypto to explode - Sentivate on: October 09, 2020, 11:34:22 AM
Was first found out this project on Parachute's twitter as they are dealing this liquidity reward with Sentivate

This project is widely discuss recently on twitter and seems like they are getting good awareness out there
It has 4.2B supply yet the price is consider fine for now as the current fully diluted marketcap is now $23M

One thing to note is that the Team/Advisors accounted for a total of 1,050,000,000 Tokens which is almost 25%
Not to say is too much as most equity based crowdfund will definitely just sold 10% to public and others back to company but as long as the team/advisors don't dump the token
It will be fine

that's quite a huge amount for a team to seat on especially when those amount locked for specific period of vesting, there is no way one can be sure the team won't decide one day to dump on investors,
so in this case i hope for the sake of the longevity and success of the project the team will be smart enough to do what is right and not let greed over cloud their sense of reasoning,
i think the hype on this project is high and probably the reason why the @op dare to make such high speculation.
1642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 09, 2020, 11:21:55 AM
there are lots of reasons that be attributed to this but from my observation and communication with people in my surroundings, work place i realize a good percentage is lack of understanding, (this is base on my encounter with friends, family, colleagues and what have you) am telling you lack of understanding plays a very major role why many people are still avoiding btc,
that negative perception already portray by the media to the public have real taken a hold on how people see btc, couple with the numerous scams and hacks the space are experiencing on a daily basis, however, continuous enlightenment will definitely change the perception of the majority.
1643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people giving up on Bitcoin too quickly? on: October 08, 2020, 01:55:52 PM
I have been reading many posts that show signs to be that people are giving up on Bitcoin's technical development to become an actual currency, and also shows signs to be ready to sell after the next surge to ATH.

I believe it's too soon. Bitcoin's benefit for improvement outweighs the cost in my opinion.

HODL!

i wouldn't say given up per say, rather people are mostly enjoying the price aspect of it for now, the ability to make money from occasional price pump and perhaps from ath when it happens, but despite this, many people are still looking forward to the technical aspect i.e for btc to become an actual currency in the future but this is something that will not happen overnight, btc becoming an actual currency and having been accepted by the government of various countries still very far from reality, but the benefit of making profit out of it is already achievable and this is where many interest lies.
1644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enough is enough! Good bye Bitcoin! on: October 08, 2020, 01:42:57 PM
Your loss shouldn't be that big of a deal if there where other exchange options aside from the one shutting down, because certainly it won't be of any use holding btc without a means of exchanging it to cash whenever you feel the need to do so, i guess this must be as a result of strong government restriction from your country,
from the content of the letter sent out YallaBit has been unable to secure a 'Cryptocurrency license' which according to the content is not even available in kuwait, this is the major problem, if the government can make such license available am sure things will go smoothly, this must be very hard for the people over there who would also like to engage in crypto.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Guide] How to trade on Uniswap using Metamask (Android). on: October 07, 2020, 11:13:52 AM
Very useful information from both the OP and the second poster, especial being able to identify the real token from the fake one, i think newbies will find this thread very helpful in this regard, i know many innocent users have already falling prey to fake token as a result of lack of understanding, like has already being pointed out, it is very important to check the contract address of any token you want to trade on, once transaction has been initiated there will be no going back which means no refund. Good job guys.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 SAFEST Cryptocurrencies to BUY right now! 💰 on: October 07, 2020, 10:57:54 AM
Wouldn't binance probably be the safest coin to invest?

To some extent i would say yes, binance bnb seem to be safe investment due to the obvious reason of being an exchange coin and allows users to pay at discount, and lets not forget the binance bnb quarterly burn to help reduce the supply of bnb in circulation and also affect price positively,
And also binance is an established well known company worldwide that it is very reassuring to invest in it without much fear, the company keeps expanding to different countries and to me that represent safe.
1647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I think will be the top cryptocurrencies in 2021 on: October 06, 2020, 11:50:20 AM
my dark horse is definitely Ethereum. There is nothing better than holding a coin top and watching its price increase every day. I took the risk and bought ETH at $ 99 by the end of February and now my account is almost x5 after 7 months of hold. Ethereum 2.0 is coming soon and the staking system will make the demand for buying ETH even higher. This is a very good opportunity for us to buy and hold ETH, the highest price this year could be 600 - 650 $.

99 dollars isnt that huge but that can still be consider as  a risk  . what impresses me the most is when someone has the patience to hodl for a long time and your 7 month of hodling is i guess can be consider long enough  .

keep up the good work mate , i know you can hodl more than that knowing that theres so much exciting events that will still occur on the side of eth . eth may not be the coin for me but i still have my btc

it was considered a risk because as of then lots of speculations about eth going even below the $99, i remember a friend telling to wait and buy eth at $50 and btc at $2000 lol! he was very sure market will crash that much, but somehow the market was able to reverse and price went back up,
although i do not think buying eth is taking a risk because we already know eth is second top crypto in the space, investing on it shouldn't be that scary even though all investment should be treated with some level of caution, i think it was a brilliant move.
1648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin illiteracy due to online exchanges on: October 05, 2020, 02:38:32 PM
I was having a discussion on a forum, because I suggested bitcoin as an extra payment method except paypal. Unfortunately, online exchanges seem to have caused illiteracy to people on how bitcoin works. Also, most of the people that used bitcoin on online exchanges seem not to like it the way it works. I wish they read a little bit more of what bitcoin truly is.

You can read the thread here: https://forum.duelingbook.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11752

i hope you took your time to read the reply to your post below on the link you posted, like the reply implies, none is more superior and besides individual preferences also plays a huge role in this case exchange can not impose that on people,  while you find it very comfortable, easy or convenient to use btc to transact and move funds around, others don't share your interest, and if you look at it, btc is not exactly free from some flaws,
in my opinion, both should be made as an option in any online or offline stores that decide to accept digital currency.
1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yeees it's happening on: October 05, 2020, 02:28:49 PM
it is a start i would say, more like creating awareness through this means, there are many btc atm around the world and an addition is always welcome, the awareness this will generate is most important because if this convenience store has a good number of customers and probably 90% of them are unaware of btc before but with this atm that number will definitely reduce and who knows some might be too curious to want to dig even further.
1650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mediocre/People. on: October 04, 2020, 05:24:01 PM
Lots of people are still unaware of btc or crypto in general because they don't have any interest to know about it because it is very easy if they truly have that interest, there are lots of banner advert of crypto in the internet enough for any curious mind to want to research and know more but that has not being the case with many people, i think it has to do with individual mindset, some people are kin to learning new things and discover more and others are very comfortable with what they already knew so they find it difficult to explore.
1651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What actually makes a token pump? on: October 04, 2020, 08:58:33 AM
That would depends from a lots factor :
1. Demand > Supply
2. Influencer
3. Good crypto news
4. Trend/Hype
5. Bitcoin price pump, etc.

AFAIK DIA is a new DeFi token, that's why the price reach new ATH on August (DeFi hype). Bad news on DeFi token (YAM crash, Sushi crash) and Bitcoin is dumped probably the reason. Because most of altcoin will always following the Bitcoin price as the mother of cryptocurrency.

I will for now rule out No. 1 - the demand and supply reason,  I mean let's be honest which among the many project we have currently have experience a price pump base on demand! Especially when their so-called product is not ready and accessible by many,   hence No. 2 - 5 seem to be the major reason, while 4 / 5 plays a very strong role in every price pump of any project,
We already know what happens in most cases when btc pumps although there are few exceptions because sometimes a btc pump also result to alts bleeding (but not usually in most cases)
So I would agree that good crypto news (like major partnership), hype/trend (like the Defi hype)  a btc price pump (in most cases) and 'artificial price pump' (from the project team)  are the most reason why a price of any token pumps.
1652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is anyone here who made good roi with defi? on: October 04, 2020, 08:35:38 AM
Yeah buddy, I made a decent return on Dia, it was one of my good fortune investment this year I would say, for quite a long time I have not participate in any new project because of previous experience, but Dia was different, actually I was a bit hesitant but a friend convinced me to take a chance and I did and I didn't regret it, aside from participating in the campaign, also invested a bit and made a decent returns, between I think the price is reasonable now for another good profit long term.
1653  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Quickly double trx token on: October 04, 2020, 08:25:59 AM
Quickly double trx
The minimum investment is only 100 trx, which is less than $3.
Withdraw earned profits at any time, get the profits immediately, no lock-in, no delay.
https://www.pinetworkapp.org/trx
https://www.pinetworkapp.org/trx

A little advice for you, stay away from all this fake investment site except you are the owner of this fake site and just here looking to lure innocent investors to this trap, if not you will do well by staying far away from it, between can you tell what it is this site do that will generate more Trx instantly to pay investors? Don't get yourself fooled and lose your money as a result, this type of site will always end up as scam it is a known fact.
1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How sent 0.01 eth to my eth address 0x339441CDF45f71144056a30675dceD63c2fbd923 ? on: October 03, 2020, 09:35:48 AM
Exactly, how can you be sure the sender is a member of this forum and not a random Binance user, I get you are trying to do the right thing by looking to return the sent eth but it is very possible many fake people will contact you claiming to be the owner, so I hope you have a way they present a proof to show they are actually the owner, all the same, very good gesture.
1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump gets Covid and we Crash? on: October 03, 2020, 05:33:19 AM
Even if every market crash is as a result of something from the top, Trump getting covid-19 should not even be considered as part of it, how is this even related! Trump is not fan of btc has no direct significant relationship to market behaviour, then how can this affect price, between is the economy badly affected because Trump contacted covid-19?   This should not have any effect on the economy or with crypto, @op stop making unnecessary assumptions.
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When we think that crypto is being used by criminals to move tons of money on: October 02, 2020, 02:45:06 PM
I don't really think that it is just Fiat and crypto that are being used to move money by criminals.
How about gold and other valuable objects that is also being shipped without a proper papers?
We are too focus on Fiat and crypto we often forget that the criminals are also using other objects to launder money.

I don't think gold will be frequently used considering the size and weight, maybe pressure stone and diamond could be another good choice, fiat and and crypto are the most used, especially fiat, we can't not deny that fact, fiat has been in existence for so long now and in all this period fiat has been mostly used for all sort of criminal activities,
But now it seems criminals have shifted their attention to using crypto for fraudulent activities, and the number of this criminal activities keeps  increasing but still not compare to fiat.
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UniDapp - scam project or not who knows.. decide you! on: October 02, 2020, 12:23:41 PM
Hi,
They don’t have even product but they are trying to sell product. The marketing only telegram chat.
Incognito project admins. Doesn’t even have white paper ! Shitcoin - be careful!
https://t.me/unidapp

P.S Basically I am not shure. It's Just a shot in the dark. But you can see that there is nothing behind the project.

Isn't it the same thing that applies to 90% half baked defi project that has been popping up in the market lately, it is no longer news, unidapp and other similar defi project are the same, they have nothing to offer except the usual hype and being listed on uniswap,

We all know that such foundations will not last for a long time, temporary hype is not enough to support a project long term, plus I can't find any details about the team members in their website, they may say it is not important but I think it does, there are lots of red flag so everyone should be careful.
1658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The IRS offers reward to anyone able to break Monero and the LN on: October 01, 2020, 04:41:11 AM
Reward is $625,000? Wouldn't you make lot's of more money if you shorted monero with all the possible leverage right before giving the info? I mean it wouldn't be ethical but one could argue that breaking monero and giving the info to IRS is not ethical either. Or would that be considered insider trading?

That's certainly true, mate. However, not everyone posses trading skills. I think that the $625k reward is more than enough to attract hackers in breaking down Monero and the Lightning Network. This is of course, unethical. But the government wouldn't care more or less as long as they get what they want. Their main excuse is that crypto can be used for money laundering and terrorist financing. But we all know their hidden intentions. Since privacy coins like Monero and Grin are virtually untraceable (sort of), they become a threat to the existing monetary system. In case of the Lightning Network, it's much easier to break it since nodes have a collection of IP addresses linked to them. Even if the IRS successfully manages to find someone to do their dirty work, developers from the aforementioned projects will improve network security to tackle the agency's efforts in the long run.......

Unfortunately hackers don't see it necessary to utilize their skills on genuine hacking offers like this one (at least a hacking approved by the government should be considered as genuine right! Grin), they prefer to rather follow the unethical way and have it all, $625k is a big sum but hackers will rather go for millions, causing havoc in the process, that being said,

Crypto can be use in money laundering and so is fiat, to me i would say till now fiat is the highest currency use for money laundering ( this is just from my point of view and not base on any statistic  Cheesy) so how exactly are the government tackling the fiat money laundering issue! That should be their focus point and not some privacy coins.
1659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Buy and Hold Really the Best Strategy in Crypto? on: October 01, 2020, 04:10:49 AM
You shouldn't buy low-rated riptocurrencies for long-term storage. It is best to invest in the top rated cryptocurrencies and after a while it will bring you a really very good profit. But in order to feel more comfortable, you need to have other sources of income, so that investment in cryptocurrency does not put much pressure on you and does not cause panic during a fall or strong fluctuation in the cryptocurrency market.

I don't know what you classify as "Low-Rated" cryptocurrencies but in most cases not all low-rated crypto are for short term, this certainly depends on our individual preferences but i believe there are many low-rated crypto that are actually under the radar, all we need is do a lot of digging to ensure that they are worth every scent of it,

And i do agree about sticking to top rated crypto in cmc because the good track record and been around for some years, so they are consider as safe investment, however, there are many undervalued crypto out there that are good for long term and can give good returns.
1660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bull market and market news its a end of the crypto or whats wrong? on: October 01, 2020, 03:48:59 AM
if the crypto dont improe well its a time to leave the crypto as there is many other things to do it wich will bring real money.
cypto is just not do what it suppousto anyways im waiting what the experts say about crypto.

but many people around the world start to get out of the crypto if the crypto is not improving

Individual choices, it is entirely up to you to decide whether you want to be in crypto or leave or take a break from the ups and downs till when things are somewhat stable (which I really doubt is possible in crypto space, market volatility is part of crypto otherwise the market will not function properly) but there is no stability in crypto, price can not be stagnant nor will it keep rising without correction,

Then it all depends on your expectations, from my point of view crypto has improved a lot, from 5 years back to date you can not compare the improvement crypto has made both in price and adoption wise, but your real problem is to see price pump like 2017 which may happen or may never happen again, you need to learn patience, it is the best remedy to handle crypto stress.
