641  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption by banks - good or bad? on: January 26, 2022, 08:10:01 AM
On a more serious note, how will crypto gain mass adoption without the inclusion of these systems? There is not much choice left for crypto if adoption must be achieved, I don't think it is possible to boycott all the regulatory bodies to gain adoption, however distasteful it appears, it is inevitable, otherwise crypto won't go very far in the quest for real adoption.
They are like the necessary evil which we must embrace to reach that goal.
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 26, 2022, 06:31:07 AM
The real problem is already here and despite Bukele playing macho on Twitter, in reality, Salvador is still discussing with the IMF a 1.3 billion loan, that on top of the 400 million bonds they've issued in December to cover the current deficit.

Woah. Shocked Then it won't be easy... Sad
IMF is hard to convince out of their conditions - possible, but hard. I am curious what can he sacrifice to keep them happy.
I really hope that my worse expectations there won't happen.

Tell me about,  IMF is the total opposite of what they represent, Bukele should have known better than striking a deal with that stringent organization, they do more harm than good to the economy of a small country like El-Salvador,
Surely he will have to sacrifice something damaging the already fragile economy because in the end those conditions must be met. He made a wrong move.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why alt coins don't go up with bitcoin as much they go down with it? on: January 26, 2022, 06:13:25 AM
Alts don't usually recover immediately alongside btc besides, we can't really say if btc is done dipping until when it is certain btc is fully out of the bear zone only then can you begin to see alts significant rise, right now the market is very unstable and alts depends on btc full recovery to perform. So you need lots of patience and time to see some alts coming back to their previous price, while some will never be able to recover, the reason why only few alts are worth investing on.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: January 25, 2022, 07:02:38 PM
Lol, laughing is the last thing on investors mind at this moment, what investor will be laughing while watching the investment dipping by the minute,  as much as it is the best way to distress, it is kinda difficult to do though  Grin
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mixers on Binance Smart Chain on: January 25, 2022, 05:40:27 PM
I know mixers are available on the Ethereum chain, but I'm really done with its fees, especially in this period of high volatility.

I was wondering if any mixers were available on the Binance Smart Chain.
So far, the only website I found offering such services is this one https://onionmixer.com/
The problem is, their social media channels seem dead, the last post on Twitter was on Nov. 2021, the telegram group looks dead as well and last published story on their Medium channels was on Nov. 2021,
so if anything goes wrong while you're using their dApp, there's no else that could help you sort it out.
Their code is audited by Certik tho, you can read it here: https://certik-public-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/REP-Onion+Mixer-2021-06-04.pdf
Listed on Coingecko too (if that's worth something  Cheesy ) https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/onion-mixer

If everything is dead then there is no need to recommend it to the @op before he can fall victim to a scam link, if he runs into trouble while using the service he cannot contact any customer service since all social media accounts are dead, better he look for an alternative if any otherwise he should just exchange to a privacy coin as suggested by a user above.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will competitors overcome ETH due to ever-increasing gas fees? on: January 25, 2022, 05:32:44 PM
Could it be there is a party who is benefiting from the high gas fees is the reason why they keep postponing the eth 2.0 to fix this issue! If they came about their users they should put all hands on deck and do what is required to bring the gas price down considerably, even though this has led to the rise of competitive networks, a lot of people still have eth base projects that require the use of gas.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: January 25, 2022, 04:49:47 PM
I got tired of those fear index chart because they aren't completely accurate, don't use this to make your crypto decisions see bear market is imminent, it's going to happen sooner or later so be prepared, if you still want to take risks only use what you can afford to lose, as for me I'm more friendly with stable coins right now

Even bear season is subject to change hope you are aware of this, just because the previous bear market was very low don't mean it will continue that way, perhaps some things are changing from the way it usually occurs, am just saying what if this time things will not be as bad as it use to be?
Believe it or not, the fear index chart does have a connection to the way people react, your post is a good example, you believe that bear market is imminent but hope you know without people selling like crazy there won't be anything like bear, likewise when people start buying a huge amount of btc the price will shoot up, at the end it all depends on people buying or selling.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEXC.COM worth bagging their token? on: January 24, 2022, 06:33:40 PM
You can compare with a similar exchange of the same tier and see what they are trading at, then you can decide, since the moment bnb made a huge turn around exchange coins are being sought after by many, although the same level of success can not be expected from each exchange coins, for future purpose, it is possible this coin can be much valuable.
Thus investing a little amount won't hurt since there may be some benefits for holding this coin.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: January 24, 2022, 03:15:12 PM
Hold is necessary in this very crucial time, the whole market is bleeding there is no exception and the best thing we can do is to be patient and hold, as you already said this has happened several times before and will keep happening as far as market fluctuation goes, nothing new, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. if you sell now you will lose if you are already more than -20% down.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got paid for some work in bitcoin on: January 24, 2022, 02:39:58 PM
Congrats @OP it always feels good when you get paid for service rendered through btc, it is a wonderful feeling, what will be more appealing is if you hold that btc through this period to when btc is back on track and market fully recovered, it is possible the value will be a lot higher, the interesting part is it is a very easy method of payment. Enjoy.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: January 24, 2022, 02:32:53 PM
It is not as if the end of btc has come, am sure the president of El-Salvador must have taken this into account while making the decision to make btc their legal tender, before such a big step is taken (something that has to do with the entire countries economy) a lot of consideration, thorough analysis are being made to ensure utmost outcome, i don't think this decision was made on a light note hence proper precaution in case of situations like this must have been put in place.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fear and Greed index. Don't time the market! on: January 23, 2022, 04:33:08 AM
I think ...if you experienced the price drop from $18 000 to $3000 back in 2017 or after that... you cannot be called a newbie anymore. A lot of people thought that the price will go down to zero back then and it was panic stations all around. The die hard Bitcoiners stuck to their guns and they Hodled right through that.

The reward..... $60 000+ Bitcoin price in 2021  So, what have we learnt from that? ...Answer : Do NOT panic .... hodl for long-term profits, not short-term losses.  Wink

Precisely, but only few can really ignore what is happening right now, despite experiencing the ups and downs of 2017/18 some people still freak out over every market correction, and then the panic mode sets in and give birth to non-stop selling, it is a good thing the weak hands will be gone soon so the market can reverse, honestly we really have more dumb than smart investors in the space, imagine those who bought at top will panic sell for no reason. Roll Eyes
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My crazy plan for 2025 on: January 23, 2022, 04:04:35 AM
Don't bother telling me that what I'm about to do is stupid or a waste of time cos I've heard this millions of time before and things end up turning out differently, meaning no one can predict the future, I want to store few meme coins why meme coins don't bother to ask, just want to hold them for 2025 by using my mining rig to mine them through unminable pool

1. 10 million shiba inu
2. 10 million safemoon
3. 10 million saitama
4.  10 million dogelon mars

My hashrate is enough to mine 500k shiba per day so I can get all this over with in just a month max, what do you think?

I thought you said "don't bother" why should what we think matter! you are the genius here and you seem to have everything figured out, all i can say is carry on with your plan since you are fully aware of what you are doing, and you can mine them without spending a penny (electricity bills not included)  Grin
hope 2025 becomes the great year of meme and your meme give you great fortune.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HEX is your last chance at a 10000x crypto. on: January 23, 2022, 03:53:09 AM
Yeah.. I can imagine we will pass $1 by next year and it'll take a while to creep up to $2, so I would say an extra dollar per year ish. But if this does play out then the gains won't be good enough for new comers and they could potentially go elsewhere. Good thing is the APY is so good that even if it is stable the APY is worth it anyway.

I honestly cannot believe this coin is still alive,,, but then again when I read about it 2 years ago I remember some people even staked for 2 3 and even 5 years, so I guess minimum this coin can be around until 2025 or unless everybody and the whales decide to pull the plug at one go.

As you said, gains are not good enough for newcomers but beware the whale rugpull.

I don't think crypto has attain that level of trust (especially some of these alts) where people would stake for such a long period of time and feel good about it, 3 - 5 of stake is risking investment imo, i don't know how trusting the project and team are, but for a project that already got some red flags around it, not a good decision imo, gains are good when the staked period is not over stretched, anything can happen in rest of the years.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What makes mataverse coins stand out? on: January 23, 2022, 03:45:01 AM
Just look at how much money the METAHERO project raised last year. Within a few months, investors invested over a billion dollars in this project. If this isn't an industry that's hype right now, then I don't know what could be more promising.

No body is arguing that, the whole crypto space is considered to be hyped as well, point is what the metaverse represent and what can be achieved in future, many project will come out with the metaverse tag attached to it but not all will succeed in their goal as a real metaverse project providing such game service to users, lets not forget defi was a hyped trend too, now the focus has shift to metaverse, web 3.0 is already making little buzz.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the potential of the Polygon? on: January 22, 2022, 06:36:21 PM
For me to be fully convince polygon has potentials they should already fix this network failure people are currently facing on the polygon network as a result of some projects, this is were those big words on whitepaper are put to test, real usage of the blockchain and how they are able to handle the pressure so easy and smooth, whenever i see those big words on these l1, l2 projects claiming to process xxxx transaction per second i smile,
this is just a fraction of what could come and the network already unstable.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are all the bitcoin's Moon boys ? on: January 22, 2022, 06:23:43 PM
Every time the market is green, we see a lot of youtube and social media influencers come out to guide people and to predict the targets for bitcoin and altcoins. But as the market dumps, we see no sign of these moon boys. Why don't they come to advise us in the these times.
Maybe they are unable to face the public because they have given too much unrealistic hopim to the people ?

Moon talk is seasonal, you should know that already  Wink
when the market is green they talk moon, when the market is red they talk bottom, it is that simple, lol, truth is emotions are very high now, so YouTube influencers needs to be cautious of what they say at this time because most investors only concerned is to exit the market, cut lose and never to come back (especially new investors who bought at the top).
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: January 22, 2022, 06:16:11 PM
El salvador is country of central america. And it is in big loss. They have bought BTC on 50k$ but today BTC price is 35k$+ so there in big loss.

Am sure the president already aware of btc market fluctuation when he decide on that decision, if the president of el-Salvador envisage this current dip perhaps he would have waited by now before buying, this is one part of btc that kind of make adoption slow when it comes to using it as payment option, the reality is, people are still more concerned about the usdt value of btc, otherwise bear market won't matter much.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: PAYT, bounty scam. on: January 21, 2022, 06:06:04 PM
Unfortunately i was among the participants who promote this scam project. at first when the whole issue started i thought the bm was at fault especially when the ceo of the project released a detailed statement on medium about what transpired between the PayAccept team and the bm, but it however turned out to be wrong, the plain truth is the PayAccept team are very greedy,
After several strict review of the sheets and subject the participants to kyc the team are still not satisfy with the results, at the end they refuse to honor their own end of the bargain and even result to banning anyone who ask anything related to the bounty payment. The simple truth here is the PayAccept team are greedy and unprofessional.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: January 21, 2022, 03:46:41 PM
Real-time incident of an user who trained himself to be a trader. Got addicted and lost everything. Steven is the person who kept adding more cryptocurrency to his portfolio. In an interview he mentioned drug, cryptocurrency and alcohol has destroyed his life. In the beginning Steven knew what he's doing. Later he ended up losing around 5-10 bitcoins. He don't know any information about the addresses and now struggling to recover it.

He says trading is gambling. He has learnt by his own and has always been a good trader. Now he spends day in one of the rehabilitation centre in Scotland.

Data : Man Lost Everything to Crypto

i think what destroy him most is drugs and alcohol, how can he mix those 3 together and expect to maintain a good sanity, if you are stressed already from trading i don't think taking drugs is the best thing for that person at that time, not to mention ones you are on drug you can loss your sense of reason and not in a good state to think properly and make good decision regarding his funds,
i hope he has learnt from this experience and decided to turn a new live here on, this is a setback which can happen to anyone but what matters most is getting back up and turn things around.
