1641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: February 21, 2023, 10:17:12 PM

My question is can someone that doesn't have any knowledge about trading and how the system work can he or she trade.

We will just realize later when trading the importance of having the knowledge of what we do.
Preparation - we can't do trade without knowledge and this is a part of our preparation. We can't just jump into something that we never know yet otherwise, this is a suicidal attempt. Honestly, we can't underestimate trading, not the market volatility as well which means that we need to learn at least the basic of trading before starting as the least requirement, or else, regrets is only what we get.
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is currently the best crypto to invest in? on: February 21, 2023, 09:39:56 PM
I have been a crypto enthusiast for some time now, thou I have lacked consistentency, but over the years I have seen people who have carved out good lives for themselves with crypto, either by direct or indirect investment.,as a result I wish to invest in crypto with cash, but with minimal knowledge,so I seek the help of this house in advise on which crypto to invest in currently as someone who is just getting to learn about crypto currency.
You can hear a lot of people uplift their status through investing in crypto but don't even think that all who invest in here have the same results because many had also failed and lost their money which might also happen to you then. But, if you have to carry positivity in yourselves, it was not impossible to reach their level. Of course, you have to be consistent and increase your knowledge and be patient as well for these are the ways to help you reach your goal. Because I tell you that those people who saw improve their level had also made their sacrifices and losses but the never quit until they succeed.
1643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 21, 2023, 10:07:17 AM
This is a good thing that another opponent is already considered for Donaire. It was unfortunate that his match against Moloney was cancelled. But I hope the schedule for this new match would mean that his initial preparations against Moloney won't go to waste. So it should be soon, not too far from the date set for the Moloney match.
People changed their view on the chances of Donaire winning when he was matched with Moloney, the majority thinks that Donaire will lose, but with this new opponent, they think Donaire will easily win, so it's like probably a downgrade of the opponent, but it's better than nothing and at least this is a championship fight.

Quote
There might still be changes in the training and strategies prepared because of the change of opponent but at least Donaire has already started getting into shape and there's still enough time left. He's got an easier opponent now.
That's for sure, but there's still plenty of time to prepare, so I'm sure Donaire's camp won't be having a problem with that.

They're probably celebrating that Donaire is now facing Santiago. Santiago is probably not as dangerous as Moloney. Santiago's power is also much lesser than Moloney's. Santiago is shorter as well and has shorter reach also. This match will definitely be a lot easier for Donaire.

And yes it is a title fight. Donaire couldn't ask for more. Of course he is still a strong and dangerous boxer but we all have to accept the fact that as you age you will have to lose a lot of your boxing capabilities. Donaire will probably be more confident this time and will win over Santiago.

If Donaire doesn't want a tougher opponent, then he should be happy with his. The odds aren't yet available, but I believe Donaire will be the favorite. It's just sad that he's coming off a big loss against Inoue, so I hope he's still very confident, and we'll see his signature KO punch again.
1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 21, 2023, 09:25:21 AM
Maybe not a starter but if he can lead the 2nd team then it's still all good for the Clippers. As long as he can contribute and maybe if they are on the lead, preserve it while Kawhi and the starters are taking their rest. WB and Hyland, that will be a scary fast-paced game with both players attacking the rim.

Honestly, Westbrook is so lucky that he landed on this team and L.A Clippers has been doing great this season and with his addition to the team, I'm sure he can contribute more and push their performance into something new high-level play. If he can do well here, I guess this is their chance to play more aggressively and sufficiently to get through the NBA finals. I'm so excited to see what kind of roles he will take it that team and how will they look forward to beating the Nuggets, Grizzlies, and Mavericks.

You can never be sure honestly, Westbrook was expected to contribute with the LA Lakers and yet he failed our expectations. It's better not to expect so much, Westbrook does have the talent, the problem is the chemistry with his teammates, so hopefully, he will finally fit with the Clippers.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 20, 2023, 09:53:45 PM
I noticed that Recently CoinMarketCap website has been adding new Tokens without verifying the Token team, goals, and if it's legit.
Most of these currencies collapse during the first weeks of its launch.
i Remember that the website used to check every Token before publishing it to the public.
Has anyone noticed that as well?

Does anyone really just buy a coin because it's listed on coinmarketcap?  That seems a little lazy, and at the very least a little too trusting thinking they would completely vet a project good enough for people to blindly put their money into it.  Use it as a tool but not a determination of what to buy and not buy and then it doesn't matter what they do.  They are a for profit website they aren't looking out for people's wallets.
Perhaps, a lot of shitcoin is listed on the CMC and it stuck there for many years.
As an investor, it was our part to look for potential coins to buy, not just because it was listed on the CMC and it was enough, it should also run into further research just to make sure that we are investing the right coins which have the ROI potentials. If we fail to do this, it was not the fault of the CMC who does the listing but it was us who neglect to do research.
1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reasons for holding bitcoins? on: February 20, 2023, 09:34:52 PM

To me bitcoin is there to gives you money when you're satisfied to take the money or take your if can't wait when is dropping. I can't hold for too long is personal or I will never take investment in a short is till personal.

Whether you hold or not what will happen in bitcoin will still happens, is good to hold but too long hell no, because am not the future, future is expectations real life is in the present.
Nobody has urged us to hold forever. Besides, we have our own decisions and control of our Bitcoin, and we can sell them anytime if we want.
We can hear that many individuals are suggesting holding during the bear season but it was reasonable because it was not ideal to take that option (selling) when you are losing. The price of Bitcoin doesn't just pump up after buying that is why holding is should be applied. If we are familiar with this cycle - buy, hold, and sell, meaning we accumulate today and sell later when the price is already profitable, and that is investment.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 20, 2023, 01:09:57 PM

Here, it's different. Inoue needs this fight because he is aiming for a new belt. He has to remember that, although he is the more popular fighter, he is the challenger here.

He's the challenger, and he needs this belt to add more hypes to his legacy,

after completing that unification from his previous division, now he's moving up to extend his legacy.
Fighter like him who care about winning are not afraid to take the risk. It will be nice since there's no news or any update that one of
the fighter is backing out, both are willing to take that shot from one another.
Inoue wants to prove that he can win and take Fulton's belt while the current champ will be tested. He needs to prove his worth as the
current title holder.

It's only right that his name is hyped because he's really good, so I hope he doesn't disappoint the fans who admire him greatly.

I hope he wins and gets the belt, because it's not just Inoue's fight but Asia's fight against Fulton. I'm not worried for Inoue in this fight. I think this champion is still too green to match up against the Japanese monster who could possibly become a Hall of Famer in the future.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 20, 2023, 12:49:12 PM
Good news for Romeo, now CJ has a buddy to create shots. However, I don't think they will play together. Maybe Romeo will be in the second unit as their defense will be affected if both are starters, especially for Romeo, who is not known to be a good defender. I hope this time around, Romeo will be able to play more games. I'm not wishing for an injury, but we have to be realistic as he is not playing as many games anymore with the SMB.
1649  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it was you on: February 19, 2023, 09:40:55 PM
I won't totally blame them because this online traders make it look easy that anybody can do it with just having the money and opening an account. You see them constantly updating proof of their profits there by making the whole thing look very easy. What people don't understand is that it's very hard than what they're advertising and if you're not careful you can get liquidated.

Future trading is the most lucrative type of trading but you shouldn't involve yourself if you don't know how to trade the spot market therefore there should always be the starting ground and when you have perfected that then you can move upwards to take higher risks.

Liquidation is the risk that many don't take in consideration or doesn't even know when they are trading future for the first time. And also they put 25-80/90x sometime without realizing how bad that could be if the market moves the opposite way.
I think first spot trade, then DCA, then future trade. If one can follow this step by step. Then they will become pro quickly. But hard work would be a must. If you make a good profit just taking a gamble on the price movement, you will never be successful in the long run, that's for sure.

Trading is a serious task and it needs more market understanding and we can't just rely on luck like gambling. Hard work and constant learning should be made in order to increase our level of trade and improves the results of our trading. Of course, being a pro-trader is somewhat like to reach but this is impossible if we lack of courage and motivation, and most of all, if are not seriously dealing with this job to work well. We don't need to rush, we don't have to understand it instantly because it can happen gradually as long as we never stop trading and gaining more ideas from day-to-day experience.
1650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why I will never trust top exchanges on: February 17, 2023, 01:36:23 PM
...
I think this problem persist for the hardcore traders only since they need to keep the trading fund available on an exchanger all the time. For example, I almost keep zero funds on an exchanger. If I ever see an opportunity of selling my portfolio then only I would go and sell it. May be that’s the best way to stay in the crypto world now. Keep it in your custody.
Pro trader will never empty their accounts in any exchanges they use as they will trade from time to time. But in your case, I could say that you are too clever not to lose a single penny from a possible hack that mostly happens to known exchanges. That of course, is a smart decision but it was different for me,  I consider the fees that I spend from moving in and out which is costly, a reason why I should have to trust an exchange no matter what.
We heard some negative rumors about Binance and in other exchanges, and it was called "risk". And we have to deal with that otherwise, we live no confidence in the market.
1651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any successful ICOs or NFTs lately that ran bounty marketing here? on: February 17, 2023, 12:59:56 PM
I am trying to determine if it still makes sense to use Bounty for promotion of crypto projects - has there been any successful projects that actually used Bounty and then awarded bounty participants? In any niche, DNFs , Gaming, ICOs any type of fundraising campaigns
I wish to see them as well but unfortunately, it was not happening anymore, they are turning to scams and obsolete projects and investors lose their interest in them leading to failure.

There are a lot of new projects today that are even more promising but we can't deny also that scam projects already flooded the market which makes us hard to identify which one is legit and show potential. In fact, some projects are hyped but they are not reliable for the long term, they just drop eventually and lose their value after reaching their peak price.
1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 17, 2023, 11:59:50 AM
It can be helpful to those who are addicted towards gambling and want to get rid of these habits but on a serious note I would suggest that we should always play in our limits seeing our budget because it's too hard once you reach that level. These services can help them a lot by stress reduction and other parts to guide them.So appreciate your efforts and the whole team who is doing it for free.
Even if you are not yet addicted to gambling, the link could help us not to fall into that thing in future because we never know.
I believe this idea seems to educate us gamblers and fully understand the importance of controlling our emotions and to stick our limits. As we seriously follow all these things, we are able to keep ourselves away from addiction. It is important to avoid it first rather than being late when we already fall into an addiction level for this is difficult to restore.
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 17, 2023, 10:25:40 AM

You don't have to use all your money to invest, even if you are not married yet or have other responsibilities, the best approach when planning to invest in Bitcoin is to buy with some percentage of the money you earning, maybe through business or a job.

Planning and financial education are vital things when investing. We can't just put everything on investment as it was not a smart decision but only form some percentage like allocating 40%. As we are in the crypto world, the more we should be more careful in investing because the ROI is not fast and sometimes it takes years. That is why it is advisable to spread our funds to different investments so that whatever happens to other investments there is another to back it up.

If you do this weekly or monthly you won't feel any pressure, always remember that health is wealth.

We can apply the DCAing strategy if we can. We always have to remember this - invest only the amount that we can afford, we don't need to exceed our limitations.
1654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting ready for $25K, How? on: February 17, 2023, 09:42:29 AM

-snip-

So hopefully this somewhat correction will stop and we can jump back again to $24k and remain there until there is a break out run to $25k. It is not over yet for the bulls, this is the biggest that we have seen bitcoin in 8 months or so, and there could be numerous attempt in the future to touch it again and remain there.
After bitcoin had touched the $25k level, suddenly the bitcoin price underwent a correction and made the bitcoin price fall to the $23.8k level when this post was made and hopefully the correction that bitcoin is currently experiencing does not make the bitcoin price fall past $20k because $20k is a support area bitcoin was strongest during this month's price spike so if bitcoin falls past that area during this hit then it may be a bit difficult for bitcoin to quickly bounce back to $25k in price and it could take a few weeks or months for bitcoin to get back there.
We never know what is the reason for the abrupt change of the price momentum but I think this is really going to happen when many holders will sell their Bitcoin together. However, I'm not yet thinking about dropping below $20k, the support level is still high and I was very confident that the price of Bitcoin remains at its current level waiting for another spike. Might the next increase will reach $30k - and another huge drop again? The more it shows like this time, the more would think that most of the investors now are not long-term holders, they'll go with the trend and sell if they have the opportunity.
1655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 17, 2023, 08:36:46 AM
Meanwhile, we have TNT versus Meralco playing now, and the first half is over, with TNT already up by 14 points. Will Meralco make a comeback in the second half?

So far, TNT is still leading the game, and this could be a chance for Meralco to mount a comeback, especially now that Pogoy has sprained his ankle. They need to win the 3rd quarter and finish the job in the 4th quarter. TNT has too much offensive power, but what happened to Meralco's defensive prowess? They are known for being a good defensive team.
1656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 17, 2023, 08:01:00 AM
Getting worked yet again tonight, but by the Milwaukee Bucks this time around. I didn’t put any money on this game, I think I’ll be betting against the Bulls going forward.
Nice decision. The Bulls are not a bad team, but their inconsistency has caused bettors to lose money. After some good wins, they are now on a losing streak. I had thought the Bulls would make it to the playoffs, but the way they are playing now, I think this team has a problem and might miss the playoffs this season.

Although they are +8 at home, they still could not cover it.
1657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 4 trading fears and how to overcome them on: February 16, 2023, 09:56:53 PM
FEARS are a hindrance to our success, not only in trading but also in other areas. The best thing to do this is to deal with them with courage and motivation and think that we can really do it. Because the more we think negatively, the more it weakens us. It can be changed as long as we know how to handle our emotions and of having someone that could help us. But if we let our fears and emotions control us, I guess we need not step out from trading and better look for another opportunity.
1658  Economy / Speculation / Re: How was your belief formed? on: February 16, 2023, 01:19:07 PM
The 2017 uptick followed by the huge 2018 gear growth convinced me it is going to last.

Btw right now we are far off ath of 69k but just like 2018 gear growth is massive.

So i have faith in another strong 💪 price rally
While it's still a long way from the $69K price Bitcoin once reached, the price rally is now also very good and is even closer to $25K again. Hopefully this good thing can continue past $69K so another ATH can build up very neatly in Bitcoin. Personally, I am also very optimistic that the increase in the price of Bitcoin will continue well this year and everyone will be happy when they see another increase in the price in these two days.
We believe that everything went well after a year of tragic price dumps. We are too optimistic that this year is a recovery year for crypto and we are indeed excited about what will happen in the upcoming years as the halving is coming next. But, I don't expect an easy price ride this like reaching back to $69k to fast because I would think that even this year we witness some pumps yet it was not enough to make it. Yes, we are still far-reaching for another ATH.
1659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 16, 2023, 11:58:20 AM
That's it for them, finishing strong before the long All-Star break.
Luka Doncic 37 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds. They are shorthanded without Kyrie Irving and Tim Hardaway. Also their last game and a long rest.

Though they lose this one, they're not far from getting to the NBA playoff spot and they will just need to be consistent and continue to win more games than lose.
As for Luka performance without Kyrie, it's still one of the best and though he is short and didn't win it, he still gonna be good when Kyrie comes back to play. Hope this will be the long losing streak they will have after getting Kyrie from trade because if they struggle from here, they will gonna suffer more after the end of All-star weekend because that's when real games start.

Mavs needs to win games, they are still not safe moving to the next round, west side are composed of good teams who are capable of
win games, after acquiring Kyrie they are now 2-3 win-loss.

Looking to see good plays to come once both Kyrie and Luka play together with a healthy squad.
Let's see if how they will adjust after losing 3 consecutive. Adjustments really needed to everyone.

They tried playing with Luka alone, but they still lost that game. They are currently on a 3-game winning streak, if I recall correctly. I think I'll have to support them until they start winning consistently. This is a playoff team, and it would be a shame if they miss the playoffs this season because of their decision to trade their role players for Kyrie Irving.
1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 16, 2023, 11:41:00 AM
I can see two reasons behind the wheelchair thing, it's either for marketing their match or for his case. I mean, rich people do this kind of stunt to help with the case if I am not mistaken.
That's the Superbowl and he knows that media will be there, why would his camp put him in a wheelchair even if his ankle is aching? As a boxing champion, they knew it will be a big scoop to the media and there will be a lot of speculations about it which means he will be in the trend.
Now, they are proving it doesn't hurt with a dancing clip. His PR might really be good at manipulating the media.  Cheesy Some rich personality should hire him.

Most likely, it's just a marketing stunt. If that's his mentality, I like Davis for wanting to see a sold-out crowd. Both fighters are popular, so it's expected that fans will watch, but he still wants to maximize their income as big fights like this don't happen all the time. It's best to take advantage of these opportunities.
