1661  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: July 01, 2023, 02:42:17 PM
By law, you are a bad person because that is called tax evasion. Aside from other sources of revenue, the smooth running of government affairs like the development of a country, construction of roads, and government payment of civil servants' salaries are through money that government generates via a collection of tax, Therefore not paying your tax means you don't want the development of your country which is bad.

We have to be patriotic if the law says everyone should pay tax, if you don't pay it you're not only a bad person but one of those that have made the economy situations bad as the way they were because of your insurbodinat role in community development through your own quota by paying tax, when you do the needful from your own personal part, it's left for the government to take their own part towards the community development by doing Justice with the funds collected through taxation, therefore pay your tax as at when due.
In many countries, large companies receive large tax breaks from governments and grants to develop their business or loans with a very small percentage that is close to 0. And small businesses always have to survive. Large business always lobbies for favorable conditions for their companies, so not all business in the country is in the same conditions.
1662  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Web3 firms are spending up to $25M on HK crypto licenses on: July 01, 2023, 02:15:57 PM

I myself have not yet understood how these crypto companies will work and whether they will earn the money they spend, but there is always a risk that the laws will change when so many companies from around the world come to this market and business becomes as complicated as it is in the United States Smiley

Yeah united states have a problem with crypto basically SEC doesn't have the rule about the crypto industry and out of nowhere sues Binance.US , and Coinbase that basically a legal entity there. Meanwhile, Hongkong Dubai and even my country Indonesia has rule about crypto. If the US doesn't solve this problem the crypto industry will likely going move out from the US

Do you really think that the US regulator wants to kick all crypto companies to Singapore, Hong Kong, Europe or Indonesia?
Maybe they know that there will be a massive collapse of the crypto market, which they can easily provoke by starting new litigation with companies that mimic stablecoins.
1663  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IMF calls for the regulation of cryptocurrency on: July 01, 2023, 01:55:56 PM

But it will be interesting for me to observe the loopholes in this law.

Markets in Cryptoassets (MiCA) is more positive with stablecoin and I think it will become the coverage for CBDC to operate in EU. It doesn't really involve NFT and I want to see how transparent it will be when even most people regard KYC as a whole gamut of disclosure, maybe this is the loophole in regulation even though I think its adoption will strengthen crypto exchange and digital currency.

The most of the operation will be in 2024 and 2025 but it is going to revolunize the crypto regulation in EU

If you work by law, then you are required to accept stablecoins from identified wallets and send money to identified wallets.
I think that stablecoins are superfluous in this market and their regulation will get worse until all wallets pass KYC. And if they fail to meet this requirement, they will be removed from the market.
1664  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: Polkadot - аукционы парачейнов on: July 01, 2023, 01:47:30 PM

Cosmos

Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC).
Twitter

Grin

1666  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is bitcoin a legal tender or not. Why? on: June 30, 2023, 12:57:42 PM
I see Bitcoin more as a barter token at the moment, in most countries where the government has not accepted Bitcoin as "Legal Tender" A citizen can "trade" goods and services in his community for anything, without breaking the rules of the country... (Example : I can trade you 4 eggs for a bundle of wood.)

The moment when I open a business and I enter the formal market and I advertise that I "only" accept Bitcoin as a payment option, then it becomes a problem in the eyes of the government that did not accept Bitcoin as a "legal tender".  Roll Eyes

The government protect their monopoly over the "printing of currencies" with guns and intimidation.  Sad
USDT is much better quoted than bitcoin in many countries. This is an interesting fact, but USDC, DAI and other stabelcoins have a lower exchange rate. So when going to another country, it's better to take care of USDT in the Ether or TRON ecosystem, because they are the most popular. In other ecosystems the exchange rate will be less.
1667  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Buying property with crypto on: June 30, 2023, 12:51:57 PM
Unfortunately, it's illegal to buy property in the EU with BTC. To those who are not familiar with this business, it's also illegal to pay in a foreign currency like the US dollar, or to pay cash save in one country.  Even if the buyer accepts BTC, the transaction must be in the currency which is legal tender in the country, and the price shall be written in the contract. Sorry, but there's no choice.
Good to know how it's done in EU. But this cannot be taken as standards for othe countries. In my country bitcoin is not a legal tender but people still trade it. But I also thin there might be problems in reconciling the price to fiat for documentation. This is actually a problem easy to solve, just convert your btc to fiat and buy your property.
Bitcoin is not generally acceptable that is why every countries have there own law that is backing them up. If Bitcoin is acceptable in your country for trades then that is fine but that are some places that the use of crypto is purely ban while we areas, they are strictly regulated because the government is keeping an eye on how frequent and what sort people are using crypto for. Maybe in years coming if there is a need for Bitcoin to become a general currency then the aim of Satoshi Nakamoto will be accomplished but there is still fear that Bitcoin might become regulated.
To buy real estate for cryptocurrency you need to solve two main problems:
Find a notary and a lawyer who will execute the contract and register this purchase.
You need to pay taxes on cryptocurrency, read the latest tax guides:
https://coinpanda.io/guides/crypto-taxes-france/
https://blockpit.io/en/tax-guides/tax-crypto-guide-france/
Pay your taxes, but don't feel like an idiot afterwards. Some tax rates are inadequate.
1668  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The possibility of bitcoin becoming a global currency. on: June 30, 2023, 12:39:40 PM
Bitcoin is already a global currency. It is not a possibility anymore it is a reality. It doesn’t really matter if country a banned bitcoin… that’s because there are many others have no problems with crypto. Even if they all banned it, people would use bitcoin anyway. You can’t stop the internet. Could they stop torrent services/piracy? No. They are still going strong. They can’t stop bitcoin because of the same reasons. If they want to stop bitcoin they should stop the internet and if they do that the life will stop.

Anyway bitcoin is already widely known in the world and hundreds of thousands of people use it everyday. A currency like that can’t be a local currency. Bitcoin achieved this mission easily imo.

No one likes my predictions, but Bitcoin can still serve as a means of payment because it is impossible to block the exchange of bitcoin for fiat. CBDC is launched in all countries, but here is interesting news

IMF working on global central bank digital currency platform
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/imf-working-on-global-central-bank-digital-currency-platform/ar-AA1cL1Az
"CBDCs should not be fragmented national propositions... To have more efficient and fairer transactions we need systems that connect countries: we need interoperability," Georgieva told a conference attended by African central banks in Rabat, Morocco.
"For this reason at the IMF, we are working on the concept of a global CBDC platform," she said.

Bitcoin can work when there are gateways to exchange for other currencies, CBDC can close those gates to all but a select few.

1669  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Web3 firms are spending up to $25M on HK crypto licenses on: June 30, 2023, 12:29:58 PM
I didnt get it so a web3 company spend 25 Million to buy a license  Shocked that is expensive right  Grin but to be honest Hongkong is maybe become a crypto friendly country but why the china doesnt like crypto even banning it meanwhile the hongkong seems love about crypto
I myself have not yet understood how these crypto companies will work and whether they will earn the money they spend, but there is always a risk that the laws will change when so many companies from around the world come to this market and business becomes as complicated as it is in the United States Smiley

https://koinly.io/guides/hmrc-cryptocurrency-tax-guide/

https://coinledger.io/blog/cryptocurrency-tax-rates

1671  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: UK Crypto, Stablecoin Rules Receive Royal Assent, Passing Into Law on: June 30, 2023, 12:06:37 PM
The UK does not have the lowest taxes on cryptocurrencies and doing business, although capital gains tax is only 10%. Most likely, the UK law will be similar in essence to the MICA Law, so that it is convenient to work with other European countries if they want to become a financial crypto center.

https://koinly.io/guides/hmrc-cryptocurrency-tax-guide/
"How much tax do you pay on crypto in the UK?
For capital gains from crypto over the £12,300 tax-free allowance, you'll pay 10% or 20% tax. For additional income from crypto over the personal allowance, you'll pay between 20% to 45% in tax. The exact amount you'll pay will depend on the transaction you've made, the tax that applies, and the Income Tax band you fall into."

How can the crypto industry be developed with such taxes?

Please, note that the goal with this topic is to share basic knowledge about Bitcoin in our respective native languages, so I hope that among all of you can complete the list with links to the best sources of information in Russian.

1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: June 29, 2023, 02:15:49 PM
Abolutely not, you can't compared meme coins with any real project such as matic or etc.
The meme coins mostly has no utility and the only reason why the project can survive it just about the hype of their comunity.

Most meme coins was created like a joke but joke can not last a long time. Usually meme coins are used only for a short time speculations and many people lost money during such speculations but some meme coins live for a long time.
some joke lasts few cycle of bullish, that is doge and shiba, these speculation tool definitely gonna last long, for the sake of money grabbing and get rich quick scheme.
thats why until now there are so many eager people that invests in these meme coins knowing their risk of losing their money instead.
People invest little money in these coins, because investing 100-200 dollars in bitcoin is not interesting, but buying a meme coin or token is like playing the lottery. The price of coins shows a big increase if the project managed to become successful, but such projects do not live long.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Return Of Terra Luna Classic on: June 29, 2023, 02:09:32 PM
I am dropping it here because it is just for information to all the users. Mostly for those who not heard the return of Terra Luna. Terra Luna a token in the Cryptocurrency Ecosystem collapsed last year May and the co founders were jailed, the co founder was given 4 month jail term. In the month of April, the programmers came up with new idea to relaunched the coin and they call themselves  “Six Samurai." The rebranded name is "Terra Classic"
Six Samurai: Anonymous Developers Seek to Revive Terra Classic Ecosystem
I lost a lot of stablecoins in that project, and it's a shame that none of the smart analysts saw fraud in how decentralized stablecoins are issued and staked at 20 per annum. I just kept my stablecoins in this project.
Many developers have already left this ecosystem, and without their decentralized sablecoin, this ecosystem will be dead.
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitgert a scam? on: June 29, 2023, 02:02:49 PM
Hello,
I need expert opinions on Bitgert. Is this a scam project?
Please give your opinions honestly and briefly.

Thank you.
Here you need to do research, study the project, look at tokenomics, and most importantly understand where half of the tokens are now and how and for how long the second half of the tokens will be unlocked. Then look at the investors and the ecosystem.
And I don't like this data
https://defillama.com/chain/Bitgert
There are a lot of competitors similar Chains now, you can invest if you have studied the project well and are confident in development.
https://www.rapsinews.ru/judicial_analyst/20230628/309030466.html

"УК РФ Статья 174. Легализация (отмывание) денежных средств или иного имущества, приобретенных другими лицами преступным путем"

Как я понял ВС устранил ошибки в прошлом решении другого суда. Если вы купите криптовалюту законно и обменяйте на рубли, то это не легализация согласно 174 УК.

1678  Bitcoin / Legal / Web3 firms are spending up to $25M on HK crypto licenses on: June 29, 2023, 01:15:56 PM
According to a June 27 report by local news outlet Foresight News, Web3 firms in Hong Kong are spending anywhere between 20 million and 200 million Hong Kong dollars ($2.55 million and $25.5 million) for the acquisition of a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licenses. Sources explained:

“Since traditional financial institutions have no relevant prior infrastructure, and have gone from zero to one in various aspects such as products and teams, the cost [associated with VASPs] has been very high. However, even for an experienced cryptocurrency institution, the cost of obtaining a license is not cheap.”

How many more updates before tx fee comes down to $1 Huh
If you are talking about commissions for transferring ethereum coins, then the cost of a transaction is now no more than $ 2.
https://etherscan.io/gastracker
The Ethereum ecosystem also works with smart contracts, and the more smart contracts your transaction uses, the more fees you pay.
I recommend using Tier 2 solutions where there is a lot of liquidity.
