Still, DEN pressed on, shrinking the format and utilizing shots with as little movement as possible. The company built a space-age headquarters in Santa Monica, furnished with $1,800 chairs and a state-of-the-art newsroom that was put to little use. Instead, DEN's founders devoted most of their attention to the network's flagship show, Chad's World, which targeted gay and questioning teen boys. Filmed at the M&C estate, Chad's World was the founders' most personal creative effort. Co-written by Collins-Rector, produced by Pierce, and loosely based on Shackley's life, it featured one of the boys who would later accuse the DEN founders of molestation.

Imagine visiting Mount Coxs and no longer having to sit on blue balls (no pun intended), but comfortably on $1,800 chairs next to the hot tub that seats 20, albeit only 19 if the occupants are clothed.

My little sister moved from Lake Holiday because of the going ons of a registered sex offender neighbor to protect her then 7-year-old son, my nephew. Now, he's being counseled due to communications he had via an X-Box 360 he received for Christmas from a pervert.

My middle sister's 5-year-old grandson was molested by one of his little friend's father last year. Imagine hearing stories of how some strange man put his hand down a 5-year-old's pants from said lad. My sister was crying and shaking as she related the stories to me.

A police officer in Earlville, IL, has a habit of having sexual conversations with underage girls while making his rounds during his early evening shift. I learnt of this last fall from my niece, of which was relaid to her by her friends. The next day I went and spoke with the Chief of Police, making him aware of the going ons. The remedy? The officer in question now works days.

Now, in spite of my best efforts, I get to espouse Bitcoin with an accused pedophile on the board of The Bitcoin Foundation. I'm sure Bitcoin 100 would have no problem whatsoever getting the non-profit http://www.terredeshommes.org/ to start accepting bitcoin donation now that TBF has a person having a background which they despise on its board.

For my reward for bringing the above to everyone's attention, staff of BitcoinTalk awards me a negative trust thingie for echoing a major concern, let alone what's best for Bitcoin. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me the least that talks are underway as to how to ban that crazy fuck - me.

Eventually, a number of these acolytes would file lawsuits alleging they were raped and/or sexually abused at M&C by the three cofounders. Their charges are remarkably consistent—all claim they were bullied and drugged to coerce sexual compliance, and in some cases, threatened with loaded guns. When the plaintiffs filed civil suits against Collins-Rector, Shackley, and Pierce, the three suddenly disappeared with what remained of their fortune—turning up two years later living in a villa in Spain. They were arrested by local authorities, who uncovered "an enormous collection of child porn," according to Spanish police reports. In their absence, the plaintiffs were awarded default judgments in the amount of $4.5 million, but have collected only a small fraction of that. And while Collins-Rector is living it up in London—taking his young friends to lunch at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Claridge's hotel, according to the Sun—Pierce has recently been lauded yet again as a New Economy genius for his role in a fast-growing Internet venture that's drawn praise from the likes of Fortune and CNN.

Show a court order signed by a judge and I'll believe you.  They are easily
accessible,  just post one.

Apologies for not understanding your request, but a court order of what, bud?

Meet the newly elected board member of The Bitcoin Foundation, direct from the guy who now has a negative trust rating due to starting trouble and arguments.

Such brazen behavior wouldn't surprise anyone who knew Collins-Rector back when DEN was riding high. In those heady days before the Internet bust, a Who's Who of gay Hollywood flocked to notorious all-night bashes at the "M&C estate," so named for Marc and his twentysomething cohort Chad Shackley. The pair, who met on an online bulletin board (remember those?) when Shackley was just 15, collaborated on a number of tech start-ups, including an early Internet service provider, Concentric Network Services.

Flush with cash from their successful ventures, Collins-Rector (who had changed his name from the more pedestrian Rector) and his young colleague landed in Encino, California, where they took a special liking to a $4.2 million Spanish colonial McMansion that had previously belonged to Death Row Records rap impresario Suge Knight. Streams and waterfalls traced the carefully manicured 1.5-acre grounds, which housed a tennis court, an enormous gazebo, a swimming pool, aquariums, a home theater, and a hot tub built for 12.

Among their new acquaintances in Los Angeles were such industry heavies as David Geffen, uber-manager Sandy Gallin, then–NBC Entertainment president Garth Ancier, and Usual Suspects director Bryan Singer. It's also where they hatched an audacious plan for a Web-based television venture that was to consign the networks to the dustbin of history. They called it DEN, and staked its business model on "narrowcasting," or marketing to thin demographic segments. An early attempt to capture the online video zeitgeist that eventually blossomed with YouTube, den.net was instead rooted in original programming.

The plan attracted major investments from key players in Hollywood, the tech industry, and Wall Street, ranging from Geffen and Singer to Intel, NBC, and Microsoft. Representative Michael Huffington wrote a check for $5 million after a lavish dinner party at M&C, boasting to a friend that he expected to reap at least a tenfold gain from his investment.

Another regular at the mansion was DEN executive VP Brock Pierce. He was aggressive and self-assured, with blond hair and an insouciant pout. He was also still a teenager—17 years old and coming off a successful career as a child actor, with The Mighty Ducks and First Kid among his credits. According to a DEN board member, Pierce was hired as "the guy who could tell us what Gen Y-ers were likely to think." This talent came in handy not only in targeting the youth demographic, but also in bringing a supply of beautiful young men to the estate, lured with vague promises of fame as the Internet's first TV stars.

BTW, all the above was big news back in the day, and only recently has resurfaced in the mainstream media, sans the Bitcoin connection, notwithstanding the comments therewithin. Brock Pierce was put on my radar via a prominent Bitcoiner who didn't want his name attach to my findings, ergo I now have the pleasure of being an untrustworthy bitcoiner, in spite of never taking one satoshi from a soul, exposing scams, et al. and saving fellow bitcoiners untold amount of money sans any payment for my efforts, nor seeking any, along with personally being ripped off 1,132 BTC by a staff member of BitcoinTalk, namely davout. But, if I had access to tens of millions of dollars to further Bitcoin and fucked underage boys in the ass, I would be the champion.

Utter motherfuckin' madness!

Mention DEN, the Digital Entertainment Network, and dot-com historians will know you're talking about the ugliest of the bubble implosions. A forerunner to YouTube, it was brought down by the pedophile appetites of founder Marc Collins-Rector, who had promised to build "the last network," burying TV forever. Its three founders lived in a VC-funded mansion in L.A. where boys -- promised stardom in Web clips -- [filed lawsuits claiming to have been] raped after decadent parties.

What happened after the three founders -- including Disney child star Brock Pierce -- fled the FBI by heading for Spain? An investigative report by Radar Magazine catches up with Marc Collins-Rector, who is walking rakishly free in London...and his protege Brock Pierce, whose giant company IGE -- which buys and sells cash in "World Of Warcraft" and other games -- is winning rave write-ups in Fortune and other magazines. In our long investigation, we discovered strong evidence that Collins-Rector -- who is hiding his money from child abuse victims -- may have helped fund IGE.

Plus you can now watch their hilarious/twisted flagship Web show, "Chad's World," a pedophile fantasy based on the founders' own lives.

Quote
As the lawsuits against the company mounted in early 2000, DEN–in which Pierce held nearly one million shares and Collins-Rector still owned a majority stake–began to hemorrhage money. The planned IPO, which was postponed after the first abuse allegations surfaced, was permanently shelved. A crumbling Nasdaq didn't help the situation. By May 2000, the start-up was bankrupt. Before long, its headquarters were gutted, the expensive computer equipment and office chairs sold off for a fraction of their original cost. Around Hollywood, rumors flew that Collins-Rector, Shackley, and Pierce were about to be arrested on embezzlement and sexual offenses. Before any charges were filed, though, the three men disappeared.
They didn't turn up again until May 2002, when a tip to Interpol led authorities to raid their luxury villa in Marbella, on the Spanish Riviera–an area British tabloids have dubbed the Costa del Crime due to its high population of English-speaking fugitives. Among the items recovered from the residence were guns, machetes, a trove of jewels, and child pornography. Pierce and Shackley were held for about a month by Spanish police and then released.

The prosecution of Collins-Rector also proved difficult. He remained in a Spanish jail for almost two years, fighting extradition, before finally being brought to the United States, where he pled guilty to eight charges of child enticement, a comparably minor offense. He was soon out of prison–receiving credit for the time he'd served in Spain. Since most of his alleged crimes took place at the mansion in Encino, it was up to L.A. County prosecutors to make any further charges stick, but the DA never took steps to do so. (The L.A. County district attorney's office refused to comment about the status of any DEN investigation.) The victims sought justice in the civil courts, however, winning a total of $4.5 million in summary judgments. Except for a small side agreement with Pierce, the award has yet to be paid, lawyers say.

I don't recall a single person getting chastised for sticking it up Bitcoiner's favorite son, Bruce Wagner, ass during the infamous three-pronged attack thread. Is it because Brock Pierce brings more to the Bitcoin table than what Bruce Wagner would have brought, i.e. $$$ (note, fiat notes, not BTC)?

Brock Pierce now sits on the board of The Bitcoin Foundation, and I get my first negative trust rating, all on the same day.

Motherfuckin' madness!

I assume the trouble and arguments I've been attempting to stir up relates to Brock Pierce due to my postings over the course of the past week. Now that he's on The Bitcoin Foundation board, he can push his weight around and dictate what happens on this forum. I'm not versed in how such is accomplished, but I can assume that that assessment is not too far off the mark.

So, one can now get a negative trust rating for the entire world to see on BitcoinTalk for simply expressing opinions and facts.

I demand to know exactly what troubles and arguments I have attempted to spread that warrants me, a trustworthy individual, to receive negative trust from staff.

An ex-girlfriend and a songwriter friend of mine, whose daughter is a Bitcoiner, are in a dance scene together in that movie, of which was filmed in Nashville.

Note to self: Dig up that pic of her, I and Chuck Seals taken at one of the shows I hosted. Chuck showed up with an RV full of 13 guys from California, all of which were over 21-years-old. I had a friend who worked for his last company, Playsino. They worked for months on casino games on the Facebook platform.

Things weren't going well (they failed to ship a product), and Brock kept promising them that investment was coming. Most of them were working for reduced or no salary for weeks, with the promise that they'd be paid when investment finally came in. It didn't, Brock moved on and left a lot of his employees financially screwed.

This guy's just a greedy opportunist. If he senses he can make money from it, he'll drop everything and use his resume/child actor status/PR firm to push his way in. This is why he's trying to lobby the japanese courts to steal people's Bitcoins - he doesn't give a shit about the original owners or the community, he's just in it to make as much money as possible for himself.

Under its new moniker, Playsino will look to leverage its traction in the tournaments and virtual rewards space and double down on another emerging vertical: social casino games. Ambitiously, Playsino is setting out to build “the world’s largest social gaming casino platform,” and is naming a new CEO to help lead the way. Brock Pierce, who will be the startup’s CEO, is the managing Director of the Clearstone Global Gaming Fund, and a serial entrepreneur, having founded eight companies and acquired 30 more in various capacities.

Pierce played an early role in the development of virtual goods, founding Internet Gaming Entertainment (IGE) in 2001 and Zam in 2003. In addition to new leadership, Playsino is also announcing today that it has raised $1.5 million in venture capital as part of an ongoing round. So far, no witnesses have come forward to corroborate Egan's accusations regarding any of the four. But the idea that underage boys were drugged and raped at the Encino estate, and sometimes threatened with guns by Collins-Rector, is hardly new. Egan was one of several young men to make such allegations in lawsuits filed against Collins-Rector, Shackley and Pierce 14 years ago -- court cases in which the plaintiffs won $4.5 million from Collins-Rector and Shackley by default because the trio had fled the country (Pierce reached a settlement). Egan and other plaintiffs also named several John Does but did not include Singer or the others he now is accusing. His attorney has declined to explain why.

"Brock, Chad and I are leaving the country to Spain because the heat is on. Now, we both know that you're not gay and didn't have sex with any of the hundreds of underage boys at Camp DEN (wink, wink), but you're happy to come along with us and..."

"Already packed and ready to go, guys. I heard there's beautiful girls (wink, wink) in Spain, and I can't think of anybody else to live with besides you two cool dudes. My only regret is that I wish I had more money, having to had to settle outta court a case I could have easily won, but I'm sure between our three heads... why you guys laughing? Outta our three heads, a bigger venture is just around the corner. Who knows? Perhaps, I'll be the lead spokesperson for some virtual currency some day."

"He's right, Marc. There's tons of gold to be had on the internet. We just gotta figure out how to tap into it. Is that your hand or Brock's? Whose ever it is, slow down, for it's long way to Spain."

Bruce is one of Bitcoins largest allies and advocators, it would be a big blow to the community of these allegations are true.

Let's try and remain objective until the facts come to light

Can you at least explain these?

so sometimes men = boys, and sometime it refers to two different groups?

For those who don't know, punlman is Bruce (you can check his blog, or this screenie:

I will take a survey of the ACTUAL REAL adults who attended this past Conference.... ( not the endless personas here belonging to 13-year-old bitcoin and libertarian haters )  and I will ask them if they would prefer Pattaya, or some other destination.   It makes little difference to me.

So, if I get it right, it all makes little difference to you. If it makes so little difference, then the only reason you are so stubbornly sticking to Pattaya is to spite the people on these forums and/or to rub it in their face that they could not attend your meeting in NY?

Come on Bruce. We know it DOES make a difference to you. We know you have some hidden agenda to stick to Pattaya, and that agenda is actually not so hidden anymore. And you know what, I bet that if you had just said it out straight at the first questions you got, 90% of all people would have understood it. They would still disagree with the location, but at least they'd have understood.

"Why Pattaya? Because I think it is a very nice place, I have been there before and had some holiday trips and I would love to go there again."

I even bet that you could have added: "I had some great times there in the gay sex scene, so I will combine my conference there with some more of that". There's probably like 5% homophobes who would drop the understanding-rate to 85%, but at least it would have been honest.
No one believed your whole "Fancy hotel / financial center / well established conference location crap" from the first time you came up with it.

Also, most of the people here who are arguing that Pattaya is *bad* for bitcoins do not do it to annoy you, or anything like that. They do it because... they think Pattaya is bad for bitcoin. Calling them 13-year olds and whatever names you want to come up with is a very childish way of trying to get your way.

Now, we're saying that having an accused pedophile on board of The Bitcoin Foundation is a good for Bitcoin.

Fuckin' genius!

The following post is where Bruce Wagner is called out as a liar:

By the way, for a little more clarification...

In that excerpt from 2006, in that forum... which is being attributed to me...    The FACT is....   My post was the one at the top.     The message I was REPLYING TO was the one at the bottom...

In other words, my words were at the top --- before the word "QUOTE(tdperhs..." etc.

The words after  "QUOTE(tdperhs..."   ....is the other guy's post.....   the post to which I was replying.

Those words about a "virgins and newbies" and "a three pronged attack"....   were NOT my words.

You can see clearly that I was quoting that other guy.

In my reply, I was defending the guys who work there in that business....  Saying that it's great that people tip them well, but the problem is one of economics.   They are so poor, they cannot refuse even the scumbags who mistreat them.... and then underpay them.    It's a very sad thing.    THAT is what I was saying.

If you re-read it in that light, it will make sense to you.

I have never been to any place called "Atom Bomb" and none of those words are in character for me.

Also, Pattaya is very well know for its Four Seasons and Ritz Carleton and Marriott Resort Hotels on the beaches.... and which are used for conventions, as well as it's Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall.     Just look at some of these pictures:   http://www.peachthailand.com/exhibition-convention/

Millions of people, and families, go there from all over the world for conventions and expos every year.   But if you don't like Pattaya or Thailand, please just don't go.     It's just that simple.

By the way, in case anyone is curious....   PUNLman stands for what I believe in.   PUNL.    Pure Unconditional Non-judgmental Love.   .....which is what I am all about.   .....and which always wins in the end.    Smiley

Bullshit: you were quoting this post

Also, the second creepy post looks like your classic, elipsis and period filled diatribes

True or not, everything in this entire thread is disgusting (MyBitcoin, Pattaya and the other allegations).
Is there no moderation at all on this forum?

Regardless, this is a major scar to this forum if anything. If the media pick up on all of this shit it's going to be yet another huge blow to the PR effort of bitcoin and we'll be yet another huge leap away from bitcoin being viewed as a successful currency.
I think whether it's true or not, Bruce should probably put a halt to the bitcoin show as it's only going to harm the community further, which is sad that it's came down to this as the bitcoin show was one of a kind really, even if some people did dislike it. And also the MyBitcoin suspects should be persued however possible and not forgotton.

Hopefully this doesn't hurt bitcoin as badly as I'm expecting.

Is the following how we should view Brock Pierce?

This is sickening me.  I am issuing a challenge to non-trolls in this forum to step up and put some support behind Bruce.  He's not perfect, but he's our de facto spokesperson, and having his name dragged through the mud makes us all look bad.  For the sake of Bitcoins, stand behind Bruce Wagner.

Bruce hasn't done anything wrong.  He's not a scammer, a rapist, a pedophile, or any of that stuff people are accusing him of.  He's doing his best for the community and we should be thanking him.

You have to admit where does the line stop with "bs" and the truth -  as you say and what kind of credibility can a forum like that have when you start blasting someone with really bad accusations with basically no evidence or the person can't even defend themselves? And your ok with associating with people who do this and do this on another forum around a great technology as bitcoin?  and who does this for fun?

If "mobilizing" is against the rules if I were to ask let me see a raise of hands how many people on this thread are from SA I bet a good portion would be from there  and this isn't "breaking the rules"?

I don't know about the rest of you but there is no creditably from ANYONE from SA  member and who is also a member of this forum to go around accusing others for the "fun of it". Just my humble opinion.

Are you suggesting that we're going back in time and creating articles 5 years ago to discredit someone?  Whether or not any one of us is trustworthy is kind of besides the point.  The information is available for anyone willing to look for it.

Also, Bruce has an account here and is CEO of a worldwide television network.  That's pretty much the definition of 'public figure' and he has multiple avenues to defend himself.

Not suggesting that at all. But then you are suggesting you ( SA ) has never been wrong either. I don't have a beef with SA I just want more transparency so the other forum members who don't know who SA is  can know who is associated with whom so they can make a well thought out opinion . I'm not taking a side either - who knows maybe Bruce has done what you all are accusing him of doing but it doesn't do you all any good to hide behind any "motives" either.

He does have many venue's but up against hundreds of SA members there is no way he'll be able to get his facts our to the story against a "machine" like this. Thanks for a civil discussion btw.

Smiley

I'm not so sure. I think he can get his side out, which he still has not done so with regards to the Pattaya controversy (NOT the pedo stuff, just the destination and conflict of interest). I think this new revelation about mortgage fraud is really interesting and it needs to be discussed amongst the community if this is someone that we want being the face of Bitcoin (which to this point, he has been). As I said before, the media will love mentioning that the face behind bitcoin is a convicted fraudster (if it is the same Bruce, which at this point looks likely) and that's not something we need.

I'm not from SA, but I found it linked on here and I have to say I've enjoyed the site. Those guys haven't invented or fabricated anything really, they've just posted things that Bruce himself has put out there. Sure, the jump to pedo status was a bit unwarranted, but the rest of the stuff is plainly information that's publicly available.

This is a PR nightmare, anyway it is handled - distancing from Bruce seems to be the safe bet though

Didn't any of you wonder how Bruce and Ed were able to afford their Manhattan penthouse and 10k/month office despite not having jobs?

I surely do.

I also wonder who paid for those 25K bitcoins he complains of losing. I know some people, including Adrianne Jeffries and her office staff bought a few on a lark, but that doesn't begin to account for who owns the bulk of that load.

Who are these friends? Do they like to travel to Bruce's bitcoin conferences? Perhaps employ a few boys (boys means men) for some stinky fun?

I'm not going to beat around the bush.

I submit that Bruce was selling sex tourism and laundering the proceeds though MBC. Something went wrong with his plan and it became easier to just steal the bitcoin rather than follow through. Or maybe his partner Tom/d Williams double crossed him.

Either way, there is still some malignant tumor that needs excising from this "community".

Somebody please bring some air freshener.

Look Phinnaeus asshole - you are also an accused pedo!  I allege you are a child rapist.  Now, you too can't get on boards and participate in anything ever again.

You can't hang a guy just because someone accused him of being a pedo.  He isn't convicted.  There wasn't even a trial.  You are dumbass to punish him as if it is a certainty.

That Swiss guy who sued him put loads, and loads of shit in the complaint.  You can't pretend it is all true and hold the guy out as if he was convicted.  That guy who sued overstated many things to support his case.  Now, you run around like the guy just got out of jail for raping little boys.

Time to give it a rest.  The voters voted.  It is settled.  More people believe in him than believe in you.  You pedophile.

The same could be said of Bruce Wagner, yet an 8 page thread (among several others) nailed his balls to the wall, starting with this post:

Just to set the record straight....

I am not a pedophile.    I am a homosexual.   But those are two completely different things.   In fact, the vast majority of pedophiles are heterosexual.

I have never had any sort of sexual relations with anyone under age --- ever in my life --- even when I was underage myself, and I certainly have no interest in doing so.    It is a horrific and despicable thing.    ( Even when I was under 18, my first boyfriend was 19, and I was 17.   We were together for 6 years. )

I do not condone rape.   It is equally despicable.   I never condone any acts of violence, unless in direct self defense.    I have never raped anyone.

Absolutely everyone familiar with Thai culture in the least knows that ALL males are referred to as "boys" --- even if they are 38 years old.    And ALL females are referred to as "girls", similarly.   It is just the terminology they use.    It is a bit disconcerting at first.... to hear them constantly refer to someone older than you as a "boy" or a "girl"....   but you get used to it.    It is a part of their culture and customs.

I happen to know that Thailand's laws against child-sex are extremely strict.    IDs are checked everywhere, and multiple times, to insure that everyone is over 18 years old.    Thailand's laws are much stricter, in this regard, than the laws of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut --- where the legal age of consent is only 17, in fact.

However, again, I have never had any such interest in anyone who is not an adult.... ever in my life.

What has happened is....

I have spoken out against the MyBitcoin posse.....   Madhatter, his close familial relationship with NanaimoGold, etc., etc.

I've also spoken out against the vandalism --- to the point of the destruction of --- this Forum.....  by kid hackers who absolutely HATE libertarian values, and bitcoin, and what those concepts stand for.

The Result is Clear.

This Forum has become their obvious target.   They want to destroy it.    And they've done a good job of that.

And I have become a target --- and they want to destroy me --- because I promote Bitcoin, and I am enthusiastic about Bitcoin....  and, the fact is, people listen to me.    So they are trying oh so desperately to discredit me.

Then, add to that, the MyBitcoin heist by all the names associated with each other on the #bitcoin-police wiki....   and you get the complete picture.

These are Bitcoin Haters.....   and MyBitcoin Thieves who are now Fugitives.

Many of the statements made about me by these people are clearly libelous.   I am retaining legal counsel to pursue all legal avenues with regard to such libelous statements made about me.

As you can see in these two emails I just received today....    The MyBitcoin thieves are scared.    They are only hoping that I do, in fact, have something to hide.   Sorry to disappoint...   But I do not.

Sorry about your luck someone... or whatever other obvious pseudonym you're using today.    Smiley

I have absolutely nothing to hide.    And I have broken no laws.      ( other than a big fat ticket for not wearing a seat belt recently.  Smiley   )

Two interesting emails I received today...

Don't you wish you could delete and change things faster? Well, the
internet doesn't really work that way does it? We had that stuff
archived over a year ago -- it's old news to us.

Look, I always knew you were a pervert. Ever since you first appeared on
the forums. I kept your secrets for a long time.

Your reputation is toast. Now, I don't even have to lift a finger. The
rest will run its course organically.

You got sloppy and you put people I know in harms way. That was
irresponsible and unforgivable.

I have more information about the things your group is involved in, but
it is so fucking sick I'm afraid to even think it. If the police ever do
find me and show up on my doorstep they'll be the first to get a copy.

We want you to leave Bitcoin now. You've served your purpose. We can
take it from here. Pack your bags and fuck off now. Go back to whoring
or something else instead, pretty please?
