Hi,
The day cryptsy introduced DogeCoins it was valuated at 0.02 BTC and actually there has been 4 trade that got filled at a price between 0.01 et and 0.08 BTC that day. but after few minutes miners came with millions of dogecoin and started dumping it for fiew cents...so the question is why the hell miners are doing this i mean we had all the market conditions to push dogecoin to the moon literally :
- All CryptoCurrencies were negative except DogeCoin
- People were so happy about DogeCoin and everyone want to be a part of it
- All the press talked about it
....
We had all the conditions to push the prices very up and what happen ? people are coming and dumping millions of dogecoin for nothing...i don't why
When a new coin is introduced you allways see that the first few trades are high. Probably because the supply of coins at the exchange is low and price still has to find its level. |

Dogecoin has something very appealing I must say. It's very original not because of the characteristics of the coin itself but because of the positive vibe it brings in this whole -sometimes stressfull- cryptocurrency world. Dogecoins make you smile. Wow. edit: but make sure you don't pay too much for them |

I am at work now  Maybe buy a rope on the way back home. This bloodbath will last a while I already sold more than half of my stack before this crash. I decided to sit this one out with the rest of my BTC. Maybe it will get back up, maybe not. It's a gamble, but I think with better odds than the lottery. But whatever happens, I already made a big profit, and that's already sitting on my bank account. Nobody takes that away In a way i'm relieved by this crash. During the uptrend this whole bitcoin thing controlled my life. |

Made two cryptsy withdrawals today. BTC and LTC. Both showed up on the blockchain almost instantly. Weird that there is so much difference between people.

At the moment I just feel sorry for the people who bought the coins at 1250.. they must be really nervous now Yeah, well buying at that price was the wrong decision, not in retrospect, but at the time it was a bad decision, because the price was riding way over the EMA line. The problem is mostly lack of good information, and lack of understanding of the information that is available. If you're just investing for short term gain, you're going to be taken in the long-term. Bitcoin price can only go up when people are willing to pay those prices. If it wasn't for those buyers I would not have been able to sell some BTC around what is now (in retrospective) called the top. But I also sold significant portions of my BTC when the price was way below the top, and even some when the price was below what it is now. I think it's nice to secure some profits now and then. Of course sometimes I felt bad for selling some when I saw a new ATH two days later, but I just try not to look back and think of the nice things the profits made possible And in times like these of course I don't regret selling some at all! But a slower pace in bitcoin growth is better I think, less volatility and therefore less panic actions. |

Selling at the top is a myth, trying to do so will only lose your investment. I bet a lot of people like this dumped at $250 because they figured it was peaking.
Yeah, but those people probably made a big profit also. If you bought at 50 and sold at 250 it's probably because you had enough profit to step out. Nothing wrong with that. Those people didn't lose their investment, they made a profit no bank could ever give them on their savings. The people who bought those coins at 250 and sold at 1250 probably thought the same thing. Enough is enough. At the moment I just feel sorry for the people who bought the coins at 1250.. they must be really nervous now But maybe in a year they sell their coins at 6250 and the whole thing repeats itself again. |

I'm thinking of getting a loan to buy more bitcoin, as I'm guessing we'll reach $10K in a few months it can be a good deal to lend at a bank against 5% anual rate
Did anyone do this before? Would like some experience advice There have been many people in here asking about the same thing and I think it's a recipe for disaster and would not recommend it. Invest what you can afford to lose, if you become too greedy it could very well come back and bite you in the ass (and karma says it will). You will live in regret for the rest of your life. Don't do it, if bitcoin succeeds a few bitcoins will be enough to buy a house or two. Let's say someone took a loan of $100k in september and put it into Bitcoin, he would have made about $900k minus interest in just less than 2 months. There's no going wrong here. If I take a loan now of $100k and put it into Bitcoin, it might be worth 10x in just a few months. Worst case scenario it will bubble to $9k and back to $1k, then I would have only lost the interest on the loan. It's a winner bet to become a millionaire from just one simple move at the moment, with no losing edge in sight. Calling a $9k bubble and back to $1k the "worst case scenario"... Still believe this?  |

Don't know. Yesterday BTC38 announced that from now on they will not be making anouncements for new coins to be added, because those anouncements are driving up the price.

Complete non-news. Because some bloke tweets that a comment of Bobby Lee implies that BTCChina will be launching LTC trading soon, CryptoCoinsNews brings this as "breaking news". Don't get me wrong: I DO hope some of the big exchanges like BTCChina and Mt Gox will pick up LTC, but this just isn't the 'breaking news' yet. |

I am VERY satisfied with Kraken. Deposits are always quick, one time a LTC deposit took longer than it should be, but after 24 hours after it became fully confirmed on the blockchain it came through on Kraken. Don't know what the problem was. SEPA Withdrawals from Kraken are incredibly fast. Most of the time it takes 1 business day before I have it on my bank account, and one time I even had it the same day |
