1341  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is now 8 billion. on: December 18, 2022, 04:08:53 PM
That is the current worldwide reality that our planet is dealing with.
Our leaders need to ensure sustainability in efforts to provide food and water as well as health care, especially for the elderly. Humanity multiplies algebraically over comparatively short times, as seen by fertility rates. On the other side, mortality rates are quite low despite a recent epidemic.
It is undeniable that people today live far longer than they did 100 years ago. In this regard, the phenomena of people living to 100 or older may be on the rise.
1342  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your money off exchange, in this crisis moments hold Bitcoin for safety on: December 18, 2022, 04:02:03 PM
This has is the warning that has been ongoing lately, however, I still keep some of my cryptocurrency in my Binance wallet.
I am aware of the risk, yet I find it quite convenient for me. However, lately I have been very scared, I heard what we know as FUD today but was told Binance being next to crash.
Right now, I am still debating about sending a stable coin onto my Trezor.
1343  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Borrowing money to invest in BTC ( My own past experience) on: December 18, 2022, 03:42:13 PM
Borrowing money to invest in bitcoin is called leverage. Now we know what happens to those who are overleverage especially in a market crash.
The OP is lucky because they invested at a time where all things were good. SO the leverage was an advantage to them.
I barely see anyone in 2022 who took out a loan from a bank or friend celebrate being able to 2x the money in bitcoin.
1344  Other / Off-topic / Re: Suggest you favourite anime on: December 18, 2022, 03:25:35 PM
My suggestion is that you should see Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood.  Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood is really one of a kind, there's just something about it, I can rewatch it time and time again and still find it very entertaining. It has something for everyone, loveable cast, dark and mature concepts, humour and lightheartedness, wholesome romance, crazy intense fight scenes, an incredible magic system, military corruption and so much more.
1345  Other / Off-topic / Re: Offline games on: December 18, 2022, 03:15:57 PM
My top three favorite offline games which I play on my PC to pass time are:
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Elden Ring and Red Dead Redemption2

1346  Other / Off-topic / Re: Believe in yourself on: December 18, 2022, 03:10:38 PM
Without self-belief one can hardly thrive.
One of the ways to build self-belief which I know personally is through affirmations.
Affirmations like " Even though I know it is tough, I am going to keep trying"
1347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: December 16, 2022, 03:29:57 PM
Do you think countries worldwide will ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? If not, why? If mining is banned, do you think Bitcoin will switch to PoS? Will it still survive being a PoW cryptocurrency? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
There is no denying that mining bitcoins uses a lot of electricity. Adoption may be impacted by this. Building a system within Bitcoin that enables using a portion of transaction costs as a tax to fund renewable energy projects is one potential approach.
You can contribute 5% of your transaction charge to renewable energy if you are willing to pay outrageous rates for your transaction.
1348  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: December 16, 2022, 03:14:28 PM
How long do you think it will take for paper money to be phased out for good? Will CBDCs be able to replace not only paper money but also credit/debit cards? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
CBDCs will not replace paper money anytime soon. Infact, it would take a millennium for that to happen.
Credit/debit cards will in the future may not be cards but something else. However, they will still maintain their functions.

Any day paper money is phased out then my guess is that the paper may become as valuable as gold. In addition, I do not think the world is as advanced yet for that. Until we are able to solve the energy and climate crisis paper money is going no where.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 16, 2022, 02:30:56 PM
Reports have it that Ronaldo who left Qatar after his country's defeat in the quarter-finals stage was spotted training at Real Madrid. It's a good sign that the Portuguese attacker still has a great bond with his former club, as such may be seen playing in the champion league once again before the end of his career.  I think Ronaldo so much wishes to play in the champion league which is why he is trying to reunite with his former Spanish side. Lol😅 even at 37 the young man is not giving up on football.
I admire Cristiano Ronaldo a lot however I do not think that it would be wise to bring a soon-to-be 38 year old forward to any major club in Europe. Everyone who has watched him play from his younger years would definitely agree that his quality  of play is about 10% of what it used to be. We saw it during their World Cup games that he  can't run, he can hardly dribble past anyone. Either he goes to Saudi-Arabia or consider accepting a substantial pay cut and to be a benchwarmer that plays 20 - 30 minutes in some games just as like we saw in the Switzerland and Portugese match.
1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 16, 2022, 02:12:20 PM
Mbappe is as good as Messi, maybe even better. Especially as they know each other very well. In yesterday's game against Morocco, Mbappe made excellent passes, no worse than Leonel Messi. By the way, in the PSG game Mbappe also plays better than Messi in my opinion. They just have an age difference, so Messi seems wise.
I believe that the efficiency of motion is something that many people are unaware of. Messi uses his extra movement to do a lot. He will only make the necessary movements to get from Point A to Point B, which frequently involves passing through the legs of a defender, such as a shoulder dip, hip movement, jab step, or shortening or lengthening his dribble.

Given that he is making something that is extraordinarily difficult to achieve appear simple, it is that simplicity and efficiency that is so captivating. Given that his style of play is so successful, you might question why other players haven't used it previously. And the reason is that he excels at throwing the defense off balance.
1351  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education as the bed rock of a country on: December 16, 2022, 01:57:55 PM
Education is crucial to the development of a nation. I believe that there should be a relationship between education and advancement in any society.
They countries that are world superpowers are those who value education and has placed a premium on it. They give scholarships to students at all levels and would stop at nothing ensure that they have the best conducive environment that can facilitate learning. Little wonder why when the inventors are called, they are usually from countries with the best institutions in the world.
1352  Other / Politics & Society / Re: LIFE on: December 16, 2022, 01:51:22 PM
All life loves life and reproduction.
The future of life is to transform the cosmic matter into more life at all costs.
As the pioneer and pride of life, human beings should wake up.
Life is kind, and the foundation of life is food and comfortable living space.
So stop wars and internal friction, use these energy to make more food, and let the flower of life bloom all over the universe.
This is the calling of life.

Life is beautiful.
Life is sweet.
Life is good.
But humans have made life difficult for their selfish gain.
Humans have brought wars, famine and hunger upon themselves through their greed.
And then they ask. Why is life so hard?
Instead of building bridges, they build a wall.
Not for protection but separation.
Life is kind when humans show kindness.
1353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two important lesson I learn from this forum this year 2022 on: December 16, 2022, 01:44:06 PM
As 2022 is almost coming to an end and haven't been around this forum for a couple of months now, I have learn two vital lessons this year that will guide my journey in the cryptocurrency space.
THE TWO LESSONS
1: I will never trust an exchange, most especially centralized exchanges e.g FTX Binance, etc.
As with most persons who are up to date with the current happenings in the crypto economy, I concur that never trustung any centralized exchange should be one of the key takeaways for this year.

CZ is cursing Kelvin O' Leary, FTX boss has been arrested, everyone everywhere is saying withdraw your coins from centralized exchange. And this has been going on since the past couple of months. Even the blind can read the handwriting on the wall.
1354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be patient, don't get discouraged. on: December 16, 2022, 01:38:12 PM
The golden rule is to have patient. Anything that would be worth it requires a lot of patient.
Infact I would choose patient over speed. The most important thing in this forum is to research and share useful knowledge that would contribute to the positive growth of the forum and its members.

In the long run you will increase in rank and be appreciated for your efforts if you stay consistent.
1355  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you save your money? on: December 16, 2022, 01:31:46 PM
Nah, not everyone has the luxury to buy gold. Not everyone is interested in buying gold.
Besides the way you have painted it here is not how it seems in really. For some persons they can only keep save their money in the bank.
Some younger persons would prefer to save their money in cryptocurrency.
And some of the other folks may prefer stocks, bonds or buying properties. There is no one size fits all here. For me I save my money in the bank and in cryptocurrency. Whatever medium one chooses, just be a smart saver.
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: December 13, 2022, 09:33:08 PM
Buy Bitcoin. Transfer it from an exchange to a cold wallet and leave it there. If you are interested in trading leave only a very little amount in the exchange. The one you can afford to lose. Binance is best but never put your trust in any centralized exchanged. Keep up with the news, it changes so fast that you may not even know. After you have bought bitcoin, never discussed how much you have invested in it with anyone. Always keep it vague. I know you asked where you should invest, I thought I should add more.
1357  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: December 13, 2022, 09:25:50 PM
Being an employee works best for me. I am the type of person who even though I like to lead I do not see myself being in charge of a whole organization. It is a lot of responsibility that I do not think I can handle. In the past I have attempted to start up a business not because I wanted to but out of peer pressure. So, a lot of my friends we're starting of their companies, and I felt left out. I decided I was going to start up something even if I didn't have any interest in it, I did it it was good at first but then came the challenges here and there I couldn't cope anymore revenues are not coming in I had to pack up and go back to working as an employee for an organization. Right now, I've been promoted and I'm doing well. So, my personality type is not business inclined.
1358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: December 13, 2022, 09:08:58 PM
Congratulations you have been able to save up some money as a freelancer. Trust me this is no easy feat. Now go to your question, I would say it shouldn't be one or the other, but it should be one and the other. What do I mean? You should both invest in a business that you have adequate knowledge of and also invest in cryptocurrency particularly Bitcoin. Just us you will do your due diligence when investing in a new business venture so you should also do your due diligence when investing in Bitcoin. Like they would always say do your own research.
1359  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to study well English grammar? on: December 13, 2022, 09:03:29 PM
And, what is your advice?
The very best way I learnt English grammar is watching a lot of American TV shows, soap operas, and listening to English news. I was so interested in the Ellen DeGeneres show that I started to pick up on English grammar mostly from watching her shows. It was hard at first to follow but as I watched more episodes of her show I started to catch on very very slowly. Although I am not perfect yet but I am better than when I started the journey to learning English grammar language.
1360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad advice can still be gotten from forum. on: December 13, 2022, 08:58:45 PM
There are several ways I used to vet if a comment, opinion or advice is either right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable. Keeping in my that the term "good", "bad" is subjective. And your acceptance of it may be predicated on your past experiences, and beliefs.

The way to vet some advice for goodness in this forum is to review the history of the user and check for consistency in the pattern of comment or advice given. I also check for the engagement pattern of the user. This would show me the level of depth, and knowledge the user has on the subject.
