1241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: January 12, 2023, 08:38:36 PM
1.   Psychological – Trading is inherently risky; futures traders should be aware that no trade has a guaranteed outcome. When you put a trade, you are correspondingly accepting the risk but that’s where the problem comes in. All of the traders are taking the risk but are they accepting that the trade has a non-guaranteed outcome? The answer is No. Consistent traders are aware that there is no sure profit or magic in trading. They embrace the risk where if they lose, it is okay for them because they know that there is no guaranteed outcome.
I know why I lost some time ago- greed that made me increase the size of my position beyond my capacity.
The thing was I understood that I wasn't supposed to over increase my size and position. I couldn't control the risk with the position size, and I did lost a huge chunk of my portfolio.
1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 12, 2023, 08:49:10 AM
Xavi has found a potent potion in defence, the combination of Kounde, Araujo, Christensen and Balde made the defense even stronger. Atletico have experienced how difficult it is to penetrate Barcelona defense when escorted by these four players.
Barcelona have improved since being held to a draw by Espanyol, Xavi began to form a solid defense due to mistakes that have been made. Barcelona is already three points ahead of Real Madrid, Xavi will continue to try to maintain his team's performance to keep his position safe from Real Madrid's pursuit.
Hopefully Xavi will continue to elevate FC Barcelona.
Both patience and time are required. According to my estimation, the team won't reach its pinnacle for about four seasons. It's similar to seeing Arsenal two years ago when all of their young players.
All of the players for example Ansu, Balde, Gavi, and some others were losing a ridiculous number of balls, and for some reason.
I can clearly recall how terrible Frankie was playing at that time.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 12, 2023, 08:04:42 AM
In the next match Napoli will face another strong team, that is Juventus what do you think  will Napoli get the 3rd defeat ?
We know that Juventus is the team with the most ambition to catch Napoli and so far Juventus have done it perfectly
If Juventus wins then the point difference is 4 points meaning that Napoli is really not safe.
This match is significant. Napoli are the clear favorites in this matchup, as we all know.
Additionally, Juventus has now won 8 straight games in Serie A. I'm delighted Napoli beat Sampdoria after losing to Inter, something I remember being quite sad about. They still need to get back into shape, though.
Napoli hasn't lost any of their last three home games against Juventus, and they haven't lost at home either, thus I believe that gives them the advantage over Juventus. In football, though, anything may happen at any time. Juventus now has the top defense in the league and has been playing incredibly well. I don't know who the winner will be at the end of the match.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it becoming a thread for casinos refusing paying very huge winnings? on: January 12, 2023, 07:43:15 AM
What got me worried isn't just the winning but why are casinos getting away without paying players their exactly winnings with some shitty excuses ?
Contrary to popular belief, casinos don't have an endless supply of cash nor do they have vaults filled with millions of dollars like many believe.
Casinos have been designed so that you should lose instead of them. It should be you who suffers financial loss, not them.
To be safe, the majority of them contain a warning that reads, "Malfunctions Void Winning."
And when you sue them, the judge will rule in their favor because it is supported by the law. The gambler suffers two losses.
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 12, 2023, 06:57:09 AM
Small rumor from Spain.
Real Madrid wants Harry Kane for the next season.

Not sure it could be a good move, does Benzema leave the club?

Also, Kane is not so young anymore 100m for an almost 30yo player?
Kane is a world class player who is underrated. Because he plays for the Spurs, most people might not realize this, but he really is.
Kane would have been a good Benzema replacement, but his age and cost are a problem.  I imagine him playing for the team, this will be a big boost for Endrick. Endrick can understudy him, and it would in the long run be good for his development in the team. In addition to the anticipated signing of a striker, Madrid should consider adding quality players to their CBs and fullbacks as well.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman won $43million but was offered a steak dinner instead of her winnings on: January 11, 2023, 02:04:03 AM
It was probably simpler to tell her a lie about the machine malfunctioning than to disclose the truth because I picture the casino going out of business after giving the woman her earnings. How do you keep the machine going when you know full well that it is broken makes this story cringe-worthy.

I believe that the regulators ought to establish a team that visits physical casinos on a regular basis to look for machine malfunctions and to penalize operators that continue to use problematic machines.
1247  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: January 11, 2023, 01:44:51 AM
If anyone overspent during the holidays, they are currently feeling the heat everytime they check their bank accounts. For married people with young children in particular, this is important.
Given their current financial devastation as a result of their unwise decisions, some families may begin taking out loans in January. They would have to carry a great deal of the strain because they can no longer turn to friends for support. Nonetheless, with sound planning, they can bounce back before the second quarter of the year starts.
1248  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 11, 2023, 01:32:59 AM
There is a wide gap between the rich and the poor. They both have different mindset.

🗝️🗝️ Rich people spend on necessities and what is needed not what is desired. A rich person with a perfectly functioning phone would not need to spend money on a new one. A truly rich person does not care about trends, they care about net worth. Poor people spend on both necessities and desires. A poor person spends beyond their means. They care about the latest trends, not about net worth. 🗝️🗝️
This is a great list and mostly what one sees when having interactions with these two sets of persons.
I would like to point out that I do not totally agree with this statement. Most rich persons have more than one phone and it is usually the most expensive time
Most rich persons have more than one car and it usually the most expensive type. The other rich friends in their circle does so it is almost like a competition. I can say the same for yachtes and boats.
They barely spend time on or in these toys but pay huge amounts of money on maintenance. I can go on and talk about houses or mansions owned by rich people in which on one life in but is maintained by them yearly. So, you see rich people do not just care about trends but sometimes join the trend. Just that they do not flaunt is as poor people do.
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I made some years ago on: January 11, 2023, 01:10:04 AM
There are a ton of people in your position that experience the same emotions whenever they reflect back on how early and "unserious" they took bitcoin about 6 or 7 years ago.
In my opinion, it's still early and anyone who doesn't hodl might have the biggest regrets of their lives. Just invest and hodl month in and month out. In another 7 years, the narrative will have changed.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Education on: January 11, 2023, 12:47:40 AM
The two people who have helped me understand the rabbit hole more are Andreas Antonopoulos (@aantonop) and Matthew Kratter (@TraderUniversity).

Want to create this post in celebration of both figures for providing clear and valuable Bitcoin Education for free on Youtube.

Feel free to let me know your go-to figures for Bitcoin Education below -- I am open to learn more about Bitcoin.

BTC

Bitcoin

Oh, Mr Andreas makes easily one of the best crypto educators out there. He explains crypto concepts so well that can get it the first time you listen to him or read his books.
In fact, one his best quotes that got me curious about him was in his book The Internet of Money Volume Three: A collection of talks by Andreas M. Antonopoulos. He said, every time you use crypto, you are exercising sovereign power that is diverting money from a corrupt and broken system of central banks, investment banks, and governments, into a system that is giving people hope.

I haven't really heard of Matthew Kratter. I just check him out on his YouTube channel and I can see why the OP listed him. Fabulous.
1251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: January 10, 2023, 03:23:45 PM
Most common and sometimes I adhere

Collect BTC  at Deep Dips. (recently FTX collapsed)

Collect potential Alts Bear market.
My favorites are the winning strategies the OP outlined. I have been using these strategies for some time now, and I have absolutely no regrets.
I would also like to emphasize that during a FUD, the individual should always follow their instincts and not the herd. Never investing money, you cannot afford to lose is a terrific winning formula that has survived the test of time.
1252  Economy / Economics / Re: WEF On Cryptocurrencies: Crypto is here to stay on: January 10, 2023, 02:53:21 PM
I agree with the statement in part. I prefer to think of bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency that will always be around. In addition to being here to stay, bitcoin is also here to thrive and grow. Bitcoin will endure despite the failure of a great number of cryptocurrencies, including OneCoin (ONE), BitConnect (BCC), BoringCoin (ZZZ), and GetGems (GEMZ).
That the WEF has realized this is something to be they cannot fight or resist it or they accept it.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 02:41:28 PM
I heard lots of stories online that there are people who are making a living in sports betting, and honestly it really inspires me that's why I'm still gambling now. So I'm just curious, do we have members of the forum here that are making a living in sports betting? Can they share some inputs on how to be successful like them?

I hope they will share so we will know if it's really possible. I mean, as the saying goes, casinos always win because they have the advantage, so how come people are making a living in sports betting?
Any individual can make a living off of anything so long as they stay consistent and committed to it.
So yes, one can make a living off of sports betting if they are consistent and committed to it. Professional bettors make a living off sports betting. A professional bettor is an individual who considers betting as an opportunity to consistently make money on it. This YouTuber is a professional sports bettor and makes a living from it.
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: January 10, 2023, 02:20:56 PM
My question is, have you experienced this kind of gambling with Jersey numbers?
This is strange-sounding. In all the years I've bet on sports, I haven't even run into one person who believes this or performs this kind of analysis.
According to the OP's account of the man who bet them on a draw, this is nothing more than a coincidence and an act of pure chance.
But after this, I'll start paying close attention to football analysis to see if I can pick out somebody who shares this outlook or conviction.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 10, 2023, 06:33:08 AM
In yesterday's match, Napoli confirmed that the loss of points to Inter was an accident at work and left no illusions to Sampdoria who is the better team. Napoli should also thank Roma for fighting to the end against Milan. Two goals scored by Roma in the very end of the match puts Napoli as much as 7 points ahead of Milan and Juventus. This will certainly give Napoli some extra comfort ahead of the upcoming match against Juventus.
Roma scored their second by a stroke of luck after Giroud was substituted. This happened because their defence became weak.
I never expected Roma to have such a comeback in the last minutes of the games. Milan just relaxed and thought all was over. Hopefully this will serve as a drive for them in their coming games against Spezia and Fiorentina.
Jose Mourinho is building a strong team, but it would be nice to see a win and not a draw.

1258  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: January 09, 2023, 01:38:44 AM
Follow the money if you want to be wealthy; if you want to change the world, follow your passion. This is how I see the world.
You already know that pursuing your passion will ultimately lead to financial success, mental tranquility, and fulfillment.
Most often, following the money results in anxiety, stress, and depression. Because the person is more concerned with their money account balance, etc., rather than with slowing down and enjoying life.
His interactions with his family and friends will be impacted. Due of their lack of family time, wealthy, workaholic individuals frequently get divorced. They continue to work even while they are at home.
1259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: January 09, 2023, 01:31:48 AM
I'm curious to see how long he actually serves. As a result of his parents' high status in the legal world, the fact that bail was granted, and money was paid is telling.
I can't wait to see how the defense comes up with a strategy.
Perhaps it is more pertinent to ask the judge(s) and prosecutor whether they take things as easy as possible on SBF because of their legal and professional influence, which can shape a lawyer's future career.
1260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping, my best trading strategy on: January 09, 2023, 01:06:49 AM
Every traders should have his own trading techniques in which he/she make profit the most. Stick to this technique as long as it's profitable to you.
Backtesting and demo trading are two things I value highly.
Scalping is the trading method that takes the longest to fully perfect, but once you do, you'll find that it is also the most profitable and allows you to trade for the shortest amount of time—at most, 2-3 hours per day.
Numerous successful traders employ a variety of trading techniques. Another trader might not observe what one does, but they might both make money in the same market on the same day.
