961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Number Of Bitcoin Millionaires Doubles In 2023 on: April 16, 2023, 02:12:39 PM
It was good to see bitcoin reach an all-time high a couple of days ago. The eyes and knowledge of people are opening up to the potentials of bitcoin and that it why we see that there has been increase in the demand for bitcoin, more institutions are moving towards its adoption and in the general public, too many economic woes and recession happening and forcing people to adopt it to protect their assets from inflation.
This increase in the number of bitcoin millionaires will not stop here, we will see a surge of it in the future because the ROI is crazy. Imagine people who but bitcoin in December 2022 when the price was around 16K plus. Right now, they have 100% ROI.

962  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you get familiar with threads? on: April 15, 2023, 03:29:53 PM
At some point I wonder what I can do to mingle deeply in the discussion and contributions of this hard terms but one can not said something where you have no ideas. That's why I want to know how you get much familiar with all bitcoin technologies? What should I do?
It takes time but eventually you will sure get the hang of it if you stick around long enough.
Try this. Whenever you are less busy go through the threads one after the other. Click on the one that catches your attention the most and looks very interesting. Read the OP, followed by the comments. Try to do a little bit of interest search if you are confused and need more knowledge. Then go back to the thread and form your own opinion. It could either be a supporting argument or a counter-argument.
963  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to Trading - Tips and Suggestions (V1) Getting Started Full Guide on: April 15, 2023, 03:12:05 PM
I totally appreciate the efforts you have poured in here.
Just like hugblack has said, take their recommendation.  I would like to see you take it up as a challenge and create a trading tips and suggestion topic only for bitcoin. I think it will be of great value to the community.
Remember to throw in some pictures as well and do not forget to add links.
964  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 15, 2023, 02:34:04 PM
The fastest way to be broke and stay poor for life is borrowing.
I think the worse place to work in, are loan companies.
And borrowing include the buy now, pay later system they are both the same. If what you want, you can't get it with your own money, then be patient or just forget about it. Do not go into debt because of it. I know that there are some unique cases where it is inevitable but just try as mush as you can to have emergency funds/savings this is the antidote to borrowing.
965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 15, 2023, 01:58:02 PM
Is there any way to solve this problem?
If you live in a multilingual society, I think that one of the best ways to teach bitcoin for proper understanding is to
- teach it in the local language: People may understand it more when you pass the knowledge using their local languages which is the medium of communication.
- translate bitcoin resources such as pamphlets, flyers tutorials, and books into the local language and distribute them.
- you may also strike up a partnership deal with Binance or any exchange that is in your country to create awareness. While you have the grass root strategy, they have the resources to reach a wider audience.
If you do this, then you would have solved 50% of the problem of proper bitcoin/ cryptocurrency education.
966  Other / Archival / Re: What's your impacts with bitcoin? on: April 15, 2023, 01:20:55 PM
<...>
I was like here you go again another thread on how bitcoin saved the day.
Yes, you helped an indigent family. Great. Bravo. But you really do not need to make a thread for it.
Imagine if all of us start creating threads like "I built a house for a single money with my bitcoin", "I donated my bitcoin to pay for the surgery of an indigent patient" blah blah blah. Do you think the forum will look good?
Please as much as what you have done had come from the purest of intention, putting it here will make it look like you are hunting for merits and if you are criticize you may feel bad. So, please desist from it.
967  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: April 14, 2023, 08:46:39 PM
I think it would be perfect to bring this trading discussion. Are you addicted to trading? I am thinking that making profit from trading or making losses, there is a chance that some traders are addicted to trading. What are you doing naturally to stay away from trading addiction?
People get addicted to trading.
Is there a difference between that and developing an obsession for trading?
Trading doesn't offer any sort of intrinsic reward for people to get addicted to it.
Well, I know, one time when I was still learning, I would spend day and night on it. If I wasn't reading charts, then I was reading a book on trading or I was listening to my favourite trading podcast.
968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Live it, face and enjoy. The future belongs to us in earnest. on: April 14, 2023, 10:55:28 AM
There are ups and downs in trading. I chose not to call them failures but critical learning points. It is a part of success. I haven't known any trader who didn't feel like giving up when at some point they were making little to no profit and on some days losses.

Successful traders that I know have the highest form of grit, perseverance, I would even say it isn't about talent or intelligence that makes them keep going it is the two aforementioned qualities. It makes them persist through the trading journey until they reach their goal.

If you are a trader you cannot do it alone especially when you are starting out you need a community or network of people to fall back on for emotional and moral support when it becomes tough.
969  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: April 14, 2023, 09:10:17 AM
Person A may have borrowed money to invest in Bitcoin and may have made significant profit. Then you on the other hand see them, may decide to go and borrow money to invest in Bitcoin and it is at that time the Market crashes and then you run into significant loss. We must not put real estate investment, and Bitcoin investment together. One is supported by the government while the other is not. And while you may be safe with borrowing to invest in real estate, you will be in the danger zone if you do so with Bitcoin. With Bitcoin there's no good debt or bad debt. There's just debt. Avoid it.
970  Economy / Economics / Re: Could there be a new financial system not dependent on USD? on: April 14, 2023, 08:24:36 AM
Yes, soon not certainly the US dollar may not be as powerful as it is now but this isn't going to happen in the twinkle of an eye. In fact the duration for this change to fully occur is 10 - 20 years.
This is so because there will still be many hurdles to cross Before the so-called BRICS will be fully integrated into the financial system. First of which is how to convert it, then it's liquidity , stability, and credibility. We might see a whole financial war before it happens. Therefore, let's not be so optimistic about this news.
971  Economy / Reputation / Re: I proudly 7 years as a Bitcoin investor. on: April 14, 2023, 06:42:29 AM
Congratulations for holding for so long. Through the volatile markets, you remained strong. I wonder if your ability to hold for a long time was influenced by the fact that you deleted the app you used to buy Bitcoin.
I don't mean to sound judgmental, but you couldn't have sold some coins if you held for a long time and, based on your comment, that you don't think the price of Bitcoin would suddenly drop from now until the end of this year or even next year. I had assumed you would have kept holding until the end of the year to see how much you would have amassed.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can owning 1 Bitcoin make you rich in 2023? on: April 13, 2023, 07:11:32 PM
My first question to you is what is financial freedom in the context of your country, her government and people?

My second question is do you have financial goals?

See Bitcoin is whatever you make of it. If you approach it with the right mindset then you'll be happy but if you approach it with the mindset that it's a get rich quick scheme, then you'll be sorry for yourself. Never do Bitcoin alone. Diversification of your investment will make you achieve your financial freedom quickly.
973  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: April 13, 2023, 06:45:27 PM
Truth be told I feel I am running out of time. I have had this feeling since the past couple of weeks. My goals are seeming further away and almost out of reach. I am getting old.
I tried to watch motivational videos but it didn't work. I think this is the most motivational thing I have read today and it has gotten my spirits.
I have read of the KFC man story. Maybe it's not too late for me after all. Maybe I can still achieve my goals even though I am a late bloomer. I must stop being so hard on myself.

975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before You Go All In on: April 13, 2023, 03:38:49 PM
Any who is in debt, unemployed, and out of cash cannot comfortably go into trading full time. In the first instance, your debtors will be calling you. If you are unemployed, you will look more into looking for a job to sustain you. If you are out of cash, your first need will be to survive. So psychologically you are already defeated even before you go into the market.
There's too much pressure that comes with being a trader. Like it may even take you about 6 - 12 months before you start seeing any tangible progress or even making profit.
Go in with a strategy so that you will not be swallowed up by the market.
976  Economy / Economics / Re: Automating your savings will help you save more on: April 13, 2023, 03:05:48 PM
Automatic saving in reality is this - There's an app that I downloaded from the Google play store it is available in my country and duly registered. It is created by one of these Fintech companies.
This app helps you to plan financially, save and invest.
It has been my go to app for the past 2 years. I sent a daily amount for withdrawal to the safe box on the app and it does it at 5 am everyday. I can increase or decrease the amount it depends on what I want. This to me is the best automatic saving. I do not need to worry about over spending or underspending because I already have it covered.
You are motivated to keep saving and saving and it helps to imbibe a saving habit.
This is a typical example of automatic saving.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Bitcoin Holdings for your child from infant. on: April 13, 2023, 02:39:26 PM
First of all, if you can manage risks, if you can endure the market volatility and by all means go for the long term investing. It is one of the best strategies there is.
For the OP you have to keep in mind that if you  decide to invest in Bitcoin for your kid, there is actually no solid guarantee that it will yield profit. There's no guarantee that you won't lose your assets.
The thing you must know is that despite Bitcoin being an extent of a hedge against inflation it is still very subject to volatility. You could buy a piece of land for your kid in addition to buying Bitcoin, you can never be too cautious. Besides you will be damn sure that it will pay off in the future. And your kid will thank you for it.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: April 09, 2023, 07:03:36 PM
I play slot because of its randomness, it unpredictability. And purely because of it's luck factor. I am consider myself as a luck person so some extent. Skill based slots sounds boring and like a lot of work to me. As an oldie, II am not going to change my ways because if you consider it critically, you would see that traditional slots wins at the end of the day.
979  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price trajectory using AI on: April 09, 2023, 06:23:31 PM
If bitcoin is regulated and less volatile I would have bet that AI would be able to predict the price projection but, No, it can't. AI can't even predict the next natural disaster that would shake the world or the next country to go to war with its neighbors or the next economic collapse or the next pandemic. We know that these are the factors that affect the market and determine the price direction. So, if AI can predict the former, why should we trust it to know the latter. For now, take any so-called AI price forecast with a grain of salt.
980  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans go to Mexico for medicals to cut costs. on: April 09, 2023, 06:04:30 PM
And the reason why some of them choose Mexico was because of its quality and low cost. These medical tourists are aware that it is risky to do to some parts of Mexico, but they still go there because they want to cut costs.
Is there any other reason why Americans go to Mexico for medical?
Although I am not so conversant with the American Healthcare system, I can however remember that during Barak Obama's administration, he introduced the Obamacare. Whatever happened with it? Well, it is obvious that there are reasons why Americans would want to go to Mexico for healthcare treatment. Many roadblocks to quality, accessibility, or affordability of medical services especially among minority populations. You would almost go bankrupt to have a surgery or any other medical procedures.
