1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: February 15, 2023, 02:46:39 AM
Although Ronaldo started playing for Al Nassr only a few weeks back, I can see that his inclusion has served its intended purpose. The fans are happy, because he has lighted up the league with 4 goals in the last match. The club owners and the Saudi Professional League organizers are excited because matches are being watched by millions of people around the world and there is a lot of interest from advertisers and sponsors. Now Al Hilal can start their negotiations with Lionel Messi, with a lot more confidence.
I am still trying to understand why Messi would even want to go to Saudi Arabia. It is clear for everyone to see that he is remains a top player and one of the best playmakers in Europe despite his age.
Football fans shouldn't forget in a hurry that Cristano Ronaldo did not choose to go to KSA. Technically, he was forced to go since no club actually wanted to pay for him. While on the other hand, Messi can pick and choose which club he wants plays for the way he does right now.
1122  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%? on: February 12, 2023, 11:40:13 AM
According to various studies and world inequality report 2018, large portion of world's wealth is concentrated  in the hands of small portion of population, while the bottom 50% holds less than 2%. This distribution of wealth is highly unequal and cause of concern for many people, as it contributes to social and political unrest all over the world.

What governments can do to make it more equitable?

Isn't it obvious? Looking around you. Go on the internet. Walk around your neighbourhood. Watch the news or listen to the radio. You need no seer to tell you this. I would be surprised it isn't. The ratio is massive, and the divide is increasing by the day.
Unfortunately, the government can't do nothing or better still the government won't do anything. All their so-called economic policies and reforms are all a charade. They gotta keep the people poor so that they can do their bidding. They have to be able to control the people.
Poverty is like a leash around the neck of the poor in the hands of the government. No wonder they are fighting bitcoin because they know it's freedom. Do not let anyone deceive you, you gotta take personal responsibility for creating your own wealth.
1123  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 12, 2023, 11:25:30 AM
Given these factors, the dream of financial freedom can come true by using crypto currency?
If you approach cryptocurrency with the right mindset, you will achieve financial freedom, but if you approach it with the get-rich-quick mindset, you will be the first to call it a scam.
Since there is evidence all over the internet that others are getting rich or achieving financial freedom off of it, you can too if you follow the rules and have a solid financial strategy.
1124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very thankful for what bitcoin has done for me. on: February 12, 2023, 11:01:39 AM
Bitcoin has brought so much more meaning into my life.

Years ago when I thought the system had me and I wasn't making any money I fell upon bitcoin. At first, I was there for just the monetary gain but then I after I realized that bitcoin gives you your time back I discovered ways to hustle harder and stack my time with btc. Long story short I am able to work remotley and live anywhere and be happy with what I have because I know without bitcoin I would never have this life. Thank you satoshi Smiley
Every true bitcoiner has a thing or two to be grateful for since investing in bitcoin. Some of them are personal, while others are not. All in all I believe that people who have been positively impacted by bitcoin are the younger generations -
those who became financially free as a result of it. Never in a million years would it have been possible to attain the level of financial freedom or the potential for it in such a short period of time. So yes, we are all grateful and thankful for it.

1126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or Investing in the stock market on: February 11, 2023, 05:29:55 PM
Which is the best?  Trading on bitcoin or investing in the stock market? The battle between short period earning and long-term earning. Share your thought about it.
The main question for the person to answer is, "What are your financial goals?" Both bitcoin trading and investing in the stock market are very profitable, but they are not without their risks.
Unlike stocks the market, bitcoin is unregulated and presents more risks. Personally, I think it should not be one or the other but one and the other.
The key here is to err on the side of caution and diversify your portfolio, this way, you are on the safe side and will balance out your risk and profit outcome.
1127  Economy / Economics / Re: When your passive income equals or slightly above your salary, what would you do on: February 11, 2023, 03:19:03 PM

I have been in a job I detested and although I somehow managed to stay at it for up to 4 years, I didn't even for once let go of my passionate hobby and other passive streams of income I was interested in at the time.
Today, one of my passive interests pays more than my salary. My mind has been yearning for a resignation, but opinions of others and family bears the message of patience with the job I so much detest for reasons ranging from inflation to fear of the unknown.

If you were in my shoes, what would be the best advice you would give yourself and adhere to in this instance?

I would stay on the side of passive income when I remember the salary cuts and dire economic situation that almost pushed me into the streets during the pandemic and the year after. A salaried job, despite the benefits attached to it, is not consistent. It was the income from my side hustle that I had been building up along with my main job that saved me.
In other words, I trust my passive income to provide me with greater financial stability than my salary job. Right now, my earnings is from my passive income is higher but I won't quit because we need the multiple streams of income to keep flowing in.
1128  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: February 11, 2023, 02:56:33 PM
There are so many solutions to the issue of food shortages that the world may be experiencing. Some of these solutions have a pragmatic approach, and some do not. Food shortages can be addressed indirectly through cryptocurrency. How so?
Cryptocurrencies can help with the provision of farm credit to poor farmers and those located in hard-to-reach areas where financial services may be nonexistent. Doing so will give them the morale to get back to the field to cultivate their crops or rear their animals.
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in bitcoin? on: February 11, 2023, 02:24:33 PM
My interest in investing in bitcoin stems from two motivations that I feel are very important. The first motivation is its potential for a high ROI. Just a few weeks ago, we saw bitcoin go from $16k to $20k.
I am not unaware of the risks of losing one's investment either. It is one I am willing to bear.
Secondly, where my country's bank cards have failed me in terms of making international payments, Bitcoin has come to the rescue for me. as there is no limit on cross-border transactions.
1130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Tips For Newbie Traders on: February 10, 2023, 05:34:29 PM
If you are an experienced trader reading this, how did you know that you were not wasting your time trading at the time when you felt this way?
Patience is the key to success in trading. You lose more but one good win will make up for all the losses. One thing, beginners should know is that trading is not that difficult, but we make it difficult due to our impatience waiting for the best setups and instead jumping into average ones which set us back.
One thing I know for sure, do not give up, do not quit no matter what comes your way. The rewards that come with being a good trader is something I bet you will be proud of forever.
1131  Economy / Economics / Re: A steady source of income is a man's bottom line to support his family on: February 10, 2023, 05:15:29 PM
If there is one thing that the Coronavirus has taught us, it is that it is too dangerous to live on or have only one source of income. In the twinkle of an eye, it can be taken away and if you have a dependent, it run the risk of becoming depressed for your inability to provide for their needs.

The recession that saw a lot of organization layoff a good percentage of their staff is another reason why it is too risky to depend on only one source of income. The OP should talk to his friend, he should consider his current state of unemployment as a redirection. Who knows maybe it is time to turn his hobby into a side hustle.
1132  Economy / Economics / Re: Important tips to note when considering switching career path. on: February 10, 2023, 04:51:22 PM
How did you cope with the change that accompanies such transition of leaving a newly learned skill/job/career for an old one that you probably never explored deeply or earned significant cash returns from, but found fulfilment in?
What are some important tips to put into consideration before leaving one career path for the other?
It's not even funny how many times I've switched industries in an effort to find my niche. I have gone from railroad, to tire tech, cable,
to trucking, to courier employment, industrial manufacturing, to commercial fishing. The salary is not what I look at first. Naturally, I want to be well compensated, and no matter what, I always put my happiness and mental health first.
This is becasue being able to spend time with my family is very important to me, I made significant pay reductions. Sadly, I have not found a job yet, where I genuinely feel like I'm contributing.
1133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and it effect to our local community on: February 10, 2023, 04:19:39 PM
Do you think it will be of advantage or disadvantage to my community?
If do not ask, do not tell them. People often abuse free information and may take it for granted because it was given to them on a platter of gold. Just do you, develop yourself in the bitcoin space and mind your own business. If they approach you or show interest them by all means teach them.
While on the other hand, you do not need to introduce bitcoin to people around you if you notice they do not give a hoot about it.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 10, 2023, 04:04:31 PM
Financial literacy are way better, its better to teach them the whole concept of money and not just about Bitcoin because if they don't know how to handle their finances, then knowing Bitcoin is useless. Younger generation should start working with their financial awareness, and we should guide them on every possible way.
You can never go wrong with teaching your kids about money or like they call it financial literacy education. There is saying that goes thus, "train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will never depart from it". For most people who are rich now, they followed the money lessons or disciplined taught to them when since their younger years from their dads and moms.
We should teach our kids too about money. We should teach them to be prudent with money. By so doing we would have set them up for a life of filled with prosperity.

1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 09, 2023, 04:47:29 PM
Yeah, I think the first goal Leeds United scored that was just over a minute was quite impressive. They probably knew they quickly get a goal and displace whatever plans Manchester United may have had. Like you, many others had thought that Manchester United would win the game and a whole lot placed some bets and lost out as well. I think Manchester United were the lucky ones in the game as they were the ones that needed to quickly equalize in the game which they thankfully did. I guess a draw was better than a loss and Manchester United was lucky to have went away with a point.
Nothing was more disappointing than watching Leeds give up the lead easily to Man U. A lot of missed passes in the second half that went directly into the feet of the opponent. It occurred mostly at the midfield while trying to move the ball forward.
Leeds needs a new goalkeeper ASAP. They do not need a soothsayer to tell them that if they do not do something about their defense, they will be totally done for. Imagine defenders being unable to position themselves to block or even have strong enough duels.
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 09, 2023, 04:29:54 PM
Juventus won against a team which is almost in the relegation zone. So this is not supposed to look very special for Juventus. Added of course, it is going to be really hard for them to get back into the top four this season. It is going to be actually very hard for them to even get back to the top six because the point difference between Juventus and the team which is in the sixth position is basically 12 points. So that is not easy at all to get over. But if Juventus can somehow make it to the top six with at least 6 or 7 games remaining, they will have a really good chance of finishing in the second position.
Maybe the deduction of 15 point from the club and the drop for being the top 4 to now being in the bottom four has become a motivation for Juventus. In this game against Salernitana, they put concertation, attention, they had the right approach, and I notice Di Maria's desire to help his teammates.
So many shots he would have taken on his own but decided to pass it to his teammates who performed superbly. The question that begs for an answer is that is there a chance that they can regain their position at the top?
1138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 09, 2023, 04:05:37 PM
The good thing for Hoffenheim is that they are still not in the relegation zone. Another thing is they have just got a new coach. But the bad news is they are not very far away from the relegation zone as well. And Nate is going to be very hard for the new coach to fix the problems and end this season as a mid table team. I believe that is the target which they have probably set for him.

And yes, I absolutely agree that the new coach must adapt quickly. Otherwise, it is going to be a problem for both him and the club as well. Because as I said they are not ready forever from the relegation zone.

Well, this is great news and the most exciting news I have read this week coming from the football world. I have filled with so much hope and optimism about this new signing. Pellegrino Matarazzo is going to bring a lot of experience to the table and in no time, we will see a massive turnaround in the team.
It may be too early to notice the change in their match on Saturday as it is just 3 days away, but I expect that in their subsequent matches they are going to be raking in those points.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 09, 2023, 03:48:18 PM
Many times we are in a situation and we do not not realize the intensity of the problem. One such case is compulsive gambling. In simple words, it means that you are unable to control the urge to get involved with gambling even after understanding the potential harms associated with it.

Here are some signs of compulsive gambling :

1) Gambling related thoughts are always in your mind even when you are working on other activities

2) You keep increasing the gambling related money with each game

3) You try to gamble more in attempt to recover loss

4) Ignoring other important work like job just for gambling

Would you like to add to these signs ? Have you ever found yourself trapped in this situation and how did you get rid of this ?
Self-denial. Living in denial of a gambling addiction is an early sign. A gambler who knows that they have lost more money than they can ever think of to gambling and would keep on returning to the casino while telling themselves that it is because of a wrong strategy and not because they are addicted.
These people will turn to other people's money when they are broke to gamble. They would lie for it, steal for it just to satisfy that urge. Yet, they will go on denying that it is not because they are addicted but because of their love for the whatever game they are playing or the potential to hit it big.
1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features in Crypto Casinos for the Elderly on: February 09, 2023, 03:35:09 PM
I see that the OP has a progressive uncle. Here is my simple counsel to you, while you are with him, teach him how to wager using crypto particularly bitcoin which I believe will be the easiest to understand.
I want to believe that your uncle also has friend of his age-group with similar interest and curiosity. You should teach them too. Lastly, have a feature of a link that teaches gamblers how to use crypto to wager in their website is competitive advantage for online casinos. If you check the blogs of this crypto casinos, they usually provide a guide on it. You should check it out.
