1201  Economy / Economics / Re: The Buy Now, Pay Later Bubble Is About to Burst on: January 20, 2023, 05:14:45 PM
Budgeting is the answer to everything. It shouldn't matter when you pay for something if you have already set aside the money to do so. Just exercise financial restraint—something that many people struggle with.
Interest under the Buy Now, Pay Later policy begins the day you make the purchase. Interest increases.
1202  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the cost of living in your country? on: January 20, 2023, 04:30:20 PM
Globally, the cost of living is ever increasing. I already have a plan to reduce my cost of living in the next 5 years. I will build a house and move from a rented apartment to my own home.
I will also install solar panel to provide me electricity I plan on having a large garden too to grow some vegetables. In doing so, I believe my monthly costs of living will have reduced.
1203  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 20, 2023, 04:16:49 PM
One of the keys to successfully investing and staying in bitcoin is to not be greedy and know when to take profit. You do not want to hold forever. Knowing when to take profit is a success trait of every bitcoiner.
Always take advantage of the dips. It is an opportunity to purchase more bitcoins. It is a key to success. Follow your gut, intuition, after the dart board and technical analysis has been done and never regret it.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: January 20, 2023, 03:03:21 PM
Teaching kids about cryptocurrency is like teaching them about money. It should be taught in school to kids and teenagers in middle and high school.
However, that won't happen since they only teach us what they want us to learn and overwhelm
us with knowledge in order to make us dependent on the government, incur large student loan debt, and behave more like consumers than entrepreneurs.
1205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin developer @lukedashjr's wallet was hacked on: January 20, 2023, 02:48:45 PM
I am thinking of two possible explanations for this - either he was targeted by some group or maybe he is just pretending that his BTC was stolen because he wants to anticipate possible moves from governments which will ban "unhosted" wallets.
Two years ago, governments around the world have expressed concern about the risks of illicit financial activities such as money laundering, terrorist financing, and the evasion of international sanctions arising from the use of “unhosted” wallets—software applications that allow users to conduct pseudonymous, personal transactions in crypto assets over the internet without the use of a financial intermediary. I wouldn't rule this out.
1206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 19, 2023, 06:05:33 PM

After the break AC Milan is having trouble to handle their performance and there are losing points and having exit from copaitalia and now thrashed by Inter in Super Copa mean things are not good for them in this half of the season they need to improve their quality and have few better players for staying at the top of the league table otherwise they can lose their spot and can go down because we have good changes in few teams which are improving their performance and quality and having better results specially big change in Atlanta which is now having good results in all matches after the break.
I expected Milan to score at least one goal but Inter had a great game and kept a clean sheet taking the trophy. Exactly one month after consecrating himself with Argentina,
Lautaro repeats with Inter Milan, his goal is added, and that the first score was very similar to that of the World Cup final.
1207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Visible is your trading plan on: January 19, 2023, 04:57:13 PM
I have a note pad where I jot down my ideas, plans and strategies.
I keep it very handy, and it is my go-to when I get stuck, and it is a compendium of years of personal trading knowledge, trial and errors and also tips from other successful trading mentors and role models.
I say do whatever works for you. And in all, just try and stay consistent.
1208  Economy / Economics / Re: The Growth of cryptocurrency over foreign currency. on: January 19, 2023, 04:39:02 PM
As a trend indead Bitcoin has really show it's potential value, as in case of society currently are about to change which will automatically make both investors and government agencies to change their currency into Bitcoin inorder to safe guard their money it is a note that there are every probability that in time to come cryptocurrency will be officially adopted so I encourage everyone to go into cryptocurrency either in terms of trading or investment.
It is called betting the future of a country on something that is speculative despite the potentials.
Governments want to control their economy and for them to do that they need to be able to issue bonds and control interest rates. Very likely that CBDCs will boom much later.
No government will want any cryptocurrency to grow more than its currency and that is why they are passing laws to make crypto illegal.
1209  Economy / Economics / Re: How do cryptocurrencies affect Global Economy? on: January 19, 2023, 04:22:30 PM
Is it true that cryptocurrencies will weaken the global financial system? That system which is managed by countries with the strongest economies with their currencies that has gained wide acceptance to be traded in financial markets all over the world.
Bitcoin is already making an impact in the world despite the challenges it faced some years ago. Bitcoin was created to remove the middleman in transactions, and this has the potential to affect the global economy.
It operates without the need of a central bank or government.
The thing now is that centralized institutions no longer have such power as they used to have before.
Bitcoin helps the unbanked and underbanked. We already see that it is disrupting the traditional financial system and economy by providing access to unbanked and underbanked people.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving bitcoin awareness for easy adoption in my locality on: January 19, 2023, 04:01:00 PM
In all of these the easiest part I think is talking to the locals about bitcoin. It is easy to educate them about what bitcoin is and all what not. The hardest part which I see is having them open their first wallet,
or buying their first bitcoin or explaining to them that bitcoin price is so volatile that they shouldn't expect to see any massive gains in 24hours. This is the hard part -
helping them to unlearn and relearn what they already know.
1211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: January 18, 2023, 05:20:30 PM
Lol, nothing spiritual here if you ask me. Have you heard of the word persistent? Yes, so maybe those people are persistent.
There's a saying that goes - If you keep doing the same things, you will keep getting the same results. Maybe these traders like you said who are consistent in trading and also investing still remain very broke despite
the effort they put to eradicating poverty are using the same trading strategy that is not working for them. Maybe they are unwilling to be open-minded and tryout a new trading strategy.
Anyways, if you are stuck in this loop, my candid advise is to stop trading for a couple of days. Use that time for self-reflection.
1212  Economy / Economics / Re: Your way of living the wage what you need to live normal life on: January 18, 2023, 05:09:04 PM
The goverment should restrict prices of rent for example If you rent out the Property goverment should check what could be the price of rent so to make sure person who rent will not use most of the work salary for rent

Easy credit is one of the factors that contributes to high rents. When credit is too simple to obtain, that asset is effectively given a subsidy. housing in this instance. Instead, than attempting to pass rent control,
people should pass laws making it difficult to obtain mortgage financing. increasing mortgage rates and mandating a 20% down payment for all borrowers. The cost of housing would drop sharply and resume being within reach.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle your losses on: January 18, 2023, 04:58:00 PM
I say to myself after a loss - it is just a bad game not a bad life.
Winning and losing abound. I try not to whine too much about the loss. In fact, I play call of duty whenever I have a loss, or I look for a game that requires me to think critically -Chess.
When I play any of these, I do not have the time to romanticize about losing. This is how I handle losing. Chasing loses is for amateurs. It never ends well so I do not do it.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 18, 2023, 04:41:36 PM
Actually Napoli played very well in the Coppa Italia against Cremonese. Although Osimhen was not played and only played in extra time. And actually If Napoli were more serious in this match then of course Osimhen would be played earlier. But it seems very true that Napoli don't really prioritize the Coppa Italia. but what should be appreciated from that match is that Cremonese was able to create a pretty good defense in the second half. So that the dominance of the Napoli players can really be thwarted. So there were so many opportunities that Napoli got, but Napoli failed to take advantage of them.
This one was badly missed by Luciano Spalletti. I blame him for the defeat. It makes no sense to have all of the first team players not playing.
And now his side has paid the price. Who even gave him the suggestion to replace all 11 players and expect to win.
Just a terrible strategy. It would be reasonable to bench five players, but to substitute all 11 is awful.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: January 18, 2023, 04:06:17 PM
Someone with a strict budget of gambling with $10, decides to start online gambling after been told by a friend, but on signing up discovers that the minimum deposit accepted is above the amount budgetted for gambling. Does high minimum deposit fees from online casino discourage gamblers who want to stick to a budget and influences them to gamble with bigger amounts?

Speaking from experience, I wouldn't say it discourages the gambler rather it offers them a choice to either increase their budget or search online for casinos that are "pocket friendly". That is, there is a low to medium deposit fee that works perfectly for them.

Quote
If yes, and that perhaps is a reason behind many other online casinos keeping their minimum deposits as low as $1, Could low minimum deposit be an encouragement for people to come gamble regardless of the money they have to gamble?
Well, I have responded earlier, not all casinos have a pocket friendly deposit limit that is as low as $1. Becasue casino aim to be profitable and attract new clients, you may likely see new casinos with minimum deposits as low as $1. However, I doubt if well-established casinos will accept a dollar as the minimum deposit limit. It may start from $5 or $10.

Quote
Does minimum withdrawal encourage players to try again and keep gambling if they don't win up to the minimum withdrawal?

The goal is to gamble more. And won't you if you already won $15 and the minimum withdrawal limit is $20?. Of course you will.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 17, 2023, 08:36:16 PM

In order to reinforce their midfield, Rice would be a very important player for the long-term process, as he is a player with a lot of potential. However, even at such a young age, the West Ham captain has plenty of experience at home and abroad, able to help the team make an immediate impact upon arrival.
Despite not being quite certain that he would start in every Premier League game this season, he still wants to win trophies with Arsenal, and we can provide him the chance to do so.

On the other hand, I doubt if Arsenal will get him in this window. We're light in central midfield but Xhaka and Partey have been immense.
1217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Secret of success in futures trading on: January 17, 2023, 08:11:28 PM
I want to think that there are many secrets to success in futures trading. And these secrets are borne out of the experience of the individual and others. However, just like anything else, success at any venture is not a coincidence and doesn't happen overnight.

For one to experience success in trading the individual must first be grounded in the knowledge of 3 core concepts. They are trend, momentum and volatility.
1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is ok to sell your Bitcoin. on: January 17, 2023, 07:45:25 PM
So my question is:
~ Do people hodl just because others are HODLing?
~ Why do people hodl rather than sell and buy again when low
~ What is your major reason for HODLing and how do your survive the bear market?
Holding for me is profitable. However, I won't hold if it crashes to 90%. Thank goodness the market is showing some improvements. I do not plan on holding forever. When it reaches a price that I have set for myself,
I will take out a small percentage and maybe buy a car or do something nice for myself with it. I already have some sort of plan in me with holding. Whatever it is the plan is to take profit.
1219  Other / Archival / Re: Mass adoption: Naming my child bitcoin on: January 17, 2023, 07:04:09 PM
You know what will attract people and create awareness? Change your name to Bitcoin. Get a court document that legalizes it. Then wait for news outlets to have the headline "Man love's Bitcoin so much that he changed his name to Bitcoin."

Anyways, joke aside create awareness in whatever way you want but do not bring your kid into it. Please.
1220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: January 16, 2023, 04:07:21 PM
I observed that the cryptocurrency market is a kind of green at the moment, but as a beginner, I still find it difficult to tell when the market is actually bullish. I will appreciate any advice from fellow community members concerning this current situation because I'm considering to buy some coins but finding it difficult to decide on which coin to give a trail.

Just a kind advice, the risk is mine.

My first counsel to you is to buy only bitcoin. Focus on it and forget all others until you understand the crypto ecosystem very well.
The second counsel is to use the money you can afford to lose to buy it.
The third counsel is since you are a beginner, buy and hold.

My fourth counsel is that once you buy it, move it out of centralized exchanges into a cold storage wallet. Remember; Not your keys, not your coins.

That's all I have got for now.
Goodluck.
