I made the changes you specified, but unfortunately, I still get the "connection is refused" error message.

This is my .bat file for cc miner:
cpuminer-athlon64-64.exe -t 4 -o 192.168.1.23:10889 -O user:pas
pause

Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

EDIT:

I just realized that after making those changes to the wallet .conf, I get a different error message that reads:
HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error 404

When I go into the browser and type in the local ip and port I get the following error:
{"result":null,"error":{"code":-32700,"message":"Parse error"},"id":null}

Hope this means I'm getting closer to fixing this.

Here is my conf file with user/pw starred out from before qubit got k-lined:
Code:
rpcuser=***
rpcpassword=***
server=1
rpcport=50554
algo=qubit
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
and I don't even think it needs rpcallowip or rpcconnect, pretty sure localhost is always ok.

To check if the wallet is listening properly on the port, if you have cygwin or msys installed you can do something like this with curl:
Code:
curl --data-binary '{"jsonrpc":"1.0","id":"curltext","method":"getinfo","params":[]}' -H 'content-type:text/plain;' http://username:pw@127.0.0.1:50554

There's no difference between rune and regular edition at the moment. For miners check mbk's open CL miners I think.

Which of these algorithms have a low enough difficulty allowing you to do solo mine with your cpu? Or is it pretty much impossible to do that?

No, you can still solomine yescrypt with CPU. You'll probably get 0.25-3 blocks per day depending on your CPU. Yescrypt network hashrate atm is ~0.7 Mh/s, if your CPU cranks out ~1 kH/s you'll get 1 out of every 700 blocks, which would be a block every couple days.

Thanks for your help! I just downloaded the wallet and set up the yescrypt miner. I made a .bat file for solo mining. How can I tell that it's actually working and that I haven't made some kind of mistake in the .bat file?

Umm, you should have algo=yescrypt in your myriadcoin.con file I think, and if your miner is connecting then you should probably be good...

Don't mind me, just putting on my replies to list.

Is 1blockologist associated with windjc? I seem to remember that rune was a windjc suggestion, and now that is the version name plus he's posting here already...

Sorry, but where can I find the bot on Reddit?

It's not working quite yet. I thought it was up and running, but it's using some functions that only exist in monero (get_bulk_payments) and not digitalnote. I think I'll be able to get it sorted out and post with some more details on how to use it in a day or three.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DigitalNote XDN privacy, untraceable, blockchain deposits, Messages 2.0 on: September 11, 2016, 03:16:06 AM
Tipbot is up on #digitalnote channel on freenode IRC, and should be working on /r/digitalnote as well, though I haven't tested it there. If you're on reddit, please upvote the bot so that it doesn't have to type captchas as quickly as possible. Also, don't deposit too much at the moment on IRC or reddit at the moment, consider it in testing phase.

Edit: still troubleshooting a bit, but should be live soon...

Editedit: seems like bot is using some rpc calls that don't exist in xdn (only xmr), so might be a few days until up and running...

since polo took off a couple of my favorite trading coins I've been looking for other coins in it's price range and average volume, I'm not a big fish so I don't need huge volume and there can be awesome day trading profits to be made from a 1 or 2 sat difference at this price range.

your coin seems to have nice features but still haven't downloaded the wallet to test it out yet. is there a POS return or something similar?

There is "deposits" at the moment, that offer up to ~1% interest per year I think. Some plans to implement proof of activity, but it's not exactly clear what that means at the moment.

On another note, why are messaging and deposit features only supported in the GUI but not CLI interface?

Hello to all,

a new ]yescrypt pool for CPU miners is open!

We are currently in BETA phase for mining MyriadCoin (which mines also Unitus coin at same time).

The pool has NO FEES.

Instructions how to connect your CPU miner at bottom of that page:
  e.g. ./cpuminer -a yescrypt -o stratum+tcp://37.120.171.80:5534 -u YOUR_MYRIAD_ADDRESS -t YOUR_CPU_AMOUNT

You are also welcome to join us also in freenode irc: ##myriadcoin-mining (1).

See you,
Erkan

I'm mining here now. Everything working smoothly so far. Still need to get UIS payout setup, but nice to have some public pools that merge mine UIS Smiley

Lol, that would be spiteful. I still don't get why he's so flaky. He must have spent some money running servers and whatnot, or at least invested time into the project. He can't have made more than maybe 0.1-1 BTC at this point from dumping early mining rewards - there's been no volume right? It's just weird.

Started messing with new spot request on AWS and was having troubles connecting. Got a bunch of stuff to do this weekend, so might be another week...

Network hashrate is pretty high atm, might take a few days. If it goes back down to 2-3 kh/s you should find a few blocks a day at least.

Hashrate is almost 0. Diff spiked by instamine and now there was no a single block for last 24h. This coin is dead. When there will be blocks I will transfer my stash to cryptopia and kill it dumping to 1 satoshi.

oic  Shocked

Need about 500k to dump it to one sat. You really holding that much?

Does the solo mining option exist for the GUI version? That's what I'm using. I only see an option to mine from the pool.

I dunno, I'm only using CLI version.

Hi guys,

can someone please help me get set up with solo mining? This is the configuration I have so far:

cpuminer-multi-x64 -a cryptonight -t 4 -o myipaddress -O user:pass

Is this correct so far? If so, what is the port that I need to use? I can't seem to find the .config file for the wallet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Just mine from the wallet. Sync daemon, open wallet, type "start_mining 4"

Just wanted to let you guys know that myriadcoin has adopted the yescrypt algo in place of qubit. Myriad has five hashing algorithms, and qubit was intended to be the CPU mineable one, but with the release of qubit ASICs this year, myriad recently hardforked to swap it out for yescrypt. So now there are at least three coins using this algo that you guys pioneered: bsty, unitus, and myriad.

So BitCedi can earn 106% fixed interest if we lock our coins in?

Yes, only with GUI wallet tho I think.
