1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 31, 2023, 11:26:30 AM
Yeah, I agree, we didn't hear anything from him regarding retiring, on the contrary, he says that he will go doen to 115 lbs to fight Estrada. But that idea was obviously scrapped when Inoue moves up.
It was just us, the fans who have been speculating about his retirement after the 2 consecutive losses that he's got with his attempt against Inoue.
He needs to lose again for him to realize that it's time to retire. However, as a fan, we are not hoping he will lose but we are just trying to say the reality since Donaire is not getting any younger. An aging boxer will need more time to recover from a major injury, hopefully, he won't suffer that in case he loses this fight.

So this is another chance for him, he might chase history again as we want to be the oldest bantamweight against Moloney if they all agree about making this fight this year.
They don't have to agree, it's an order from the organization so they should just start to sign and do the deal regardless of what they like. They may still disagree but we don't know the consequence for any of them whom will decline the match.
So this fight is not yet a done deal? can you enlighten me? why are you talking about the "agreement' of both fighters?
1722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin now so you don't have to regret it later. on: January 30, 2023, 01:56:58 PM
Many of us has faced the similar situation where we came across Bitcoin few years back and prices were also low at that time but somehow didn't pay attention to it and years later on when we realised what we have missed the regret and guilt factor is always there. But even if you know about it's potential and didn't invest in it then you are making a big mistake but I am happy that have invested small amounts in it for long term that will give me returns in the future.
Sometimes we ignored opportunities because we never notice the value of that thing until the time has come that booms out and get surprised. That is the reality of Bitcoin, many people never thought it was a profitable investment because most of us think it will just die. Most of us think negatively and doubt, it gets no attention, and some spend it like no value. But look at now, those people are regret and blaming themselves. Too late to realize but at least we have opened our minds and seen the positive contribution of Bitcoin to our life today and in the coming years.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 30, 2023, 12:00:25 PM
Hi gamblers, it's a simple question I want to ask...

Remember it is said that, in gambling, the house always wins, I Want us to look at this two scenarios and tell if this are not actually a way to win/beat the house..

Imagine yourself as a new gambler who just joined a casino, played a few dollars and with luck on your side, you win money running into thousands of dollars, will withdrawing your money plus winnings from that casino, never to return there to play again, mean you have beaten that casino?

Secondly, imagine that on your first day of gambling, you gambled $200 and in the process, won money running into hundreds of thousands of dollars, you withdraw the money and start up your own business, and never returned to gambling again, isn't this one way to beat the house?

That way you'll beat the casino, but you are not the only client, so the reality still stays that casinos always won, which means overall. You might think of that now but if you are in a real situation, once you start winning, you will think that you are really good and you can easily make money in gambling.

Honestly, it's hard to stay disciplined in gambling following your goal, as a gambler, you will always try to gamble and win, and will not stop until you are satisfied, question is, how much winning would satisfy us?
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 30, 2023, 11:40:12 AM
4. The first fight sold out which gives huge income to the industry.

A rematch clause is legal, it's in the contract but I don't think it will have a condition that a fight has to be sold out in order to have a rematch. in the first place, they don't know the outcome of the first match in terms of revenue before that rematch clause in the contract is signed.
1725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: January 29, 2023, 08:06:54 AM
Long-term strategies are always the best, in fact if a person starts trading long-term, no matter what happens, there is always a very good opportunity to react to the market, it is difficult to trade short-term Because the most likely thing is that if you have little reaction, if the market goes against you, you lose money, for example in futures, there you must be very alert, it is a double-edged sword, something that has to be taken very seriously and in Actually, it could be like one of the things that take the most adrenaline, however when there is long-term trading or investment, everything is calmer, or generally my movements in trading are long or very long-term, the key to everything is to have patience.

That's true but implementing a long-term strategy isn't easy either,
it takes patience which not everyone has and it is also important to keep abreast of market movements,
actually it all depends on the coins we have because if we have a top coin like Bitcoin or Ethereum it's obviously very viable long term.
Not all are patient enough to see their investment will grow, some will decide to sell their crypto when they see a small profit, just like what it happened in the past few days. Perhaps, it was an option but I'd never say it was a wrong option to become a short-term holder and maybe they are comfortable doing this. Or they may see that it was more profitable than long-term.

Like if I can make a profit of $1000 per week, I should do it as well. It was not important whether you are a long-term or short-term investor because the most important is you are not losing in your investment. Buy, sell, and reinvest...
1726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best strategy for Dollar Cost Averaging on: January 27, 2023, 09:06:32 PM
I consider the price and fees when doing this. Usually, I buy some when the price is down and there is no time frame as long as you could think that it was the best timing. Most important is that we are on our plan "buying low" because what need is to take advantage of the market decline and we can do this any time of the day as long as we still have the money. We can do this monthly or weekly, but that will happen if we already know the market trend, unfortunately, we don't know.
1727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: January 27, 2023, 02:58:03 PM
Of course we agree that earlier this year is a good thing because it has risen more than 25%, prices skyrocketed from $ 17k to $ 22k in a short time, this proves that Bitcoin always has power for rising, I'm sure in 2023 prices can touch at least $ 45k or up more than 100% compared to the current price.
positive thing...
but the beginning of this year is a good start but is this a sign that the bullrun market is starting I don't think it's still not because the market is now in winter where there is a possibility that it will return to 17K $ or below
and the present is the thing that provides the most high profit opportunities by taking the opportunity to make short-term trades
Not actually a sign for Bullrun but I consider this as a chance of earning some profit. I couldn't be denied that many investors/holders have sold their Bitcoin this time making it drops a little bit before it rises to back to $22k. The price of Bitcoin is keeping its momentum upward, it is good to see but yes, it was not yet considered a bullish market, not yet. Maybe if it will reach back to $30k, I may change my view about the current status of the market. I was not hoping that I'll be right but I don't want also for the people to expect Bullrun in just having these small price increase.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 27, 2023, 01:59:32 PM

There's no denying that there was a big spike in interest during the first year of the pandemic, but it's clear that people were already starting to turn to online gambling more and more. And, it's likely that this trend will continue even after things go back to normal.
It gains a lot of interest to the people because of its high rewards and is very accessible to use. We can see a lot of promotions that pop-ups on Facebook and even not a gambler could put curiosity about it. It is just about to happen that PlayStore is allowing these things. This will no longer stop gambling addiction but it could trigger more and encourage people to join and gamble. In fact, some online wallets have already been in partnership. It was to say that Online Gambling is likely killing offline casinos slowly.
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 27, 2023, 12:42:12 PM
Reasons are;
 - possible huge profit due to price manipulation/hype
 - some altcoins have the potential for long-term investment
 - investing in Bitcoin alone is also risky, choosing a few altcoins is better (at least we have some options)

Investing in altcoins is actually profitable provided that it was not a scam project. That is why we should also check the potentiality of the project, not just the price.
1730  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: January 27, 2023, 11:39:55 AM
Sometimes failure could be our best lesson in life, we could learn a lot of thins from our own failure.
And I agree to OP that failure could make us realize a lot and wake us up to reality.
I feel so proud and powerful back then when I was gaining so much from my success but one mistake took it all and made me realize so much.
Suffering losses is a wake-up call that we did it wrong and something that we don't need to ignore but rather find the reason why.
In fact, people had grown because of their bad experiences and thought to us that we need to improve our knowledge, skills, and market understanding as a solution to said problem.

We can say that committing mistakes is a failure but on the other side, it gives us an idea of where we are today. Like if we wanted to grow and reach our goal, therefore, we have to correct all of these things and don't let it happen again otherwise, we still fail.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I be worried? on: January 27, 2023, 10:59:11 AM
Once upon a time I used to be into everything that has everything to do with Artificial Intelligence and I was happy that some blockchain projects are into A.I but they never seem to get better adoption, A.I is something g the world wants but it just seem too early, now I've give up on crypto / blockchain A.I projects but now
It was still under development which is why it was not a wise move to invest in them. But I see it can be a useful project in the future when the majority adopt AI. But for now, investing in them is too risky, and can't assure anything like the success of their project.
I think it's best to invest when the project is still early and this is where you can get their coins at cheaper. If we wait a little longer then the discounts will end and then maybe their value will start to increase as more people start to notice them. The AI belongs to the future so I am sure that the interest of the public towards the AIs will only get deeper.

Metaverse is also like AI. This is like an overview if what to expect in the future, so investing on it can also be profitable later on. Investing doesn't need to be huge but you can also do it with tiny amounts. Now will still that scare you? Maybe if you see that you are profiting, you will regret on why you didn't invest more.
That is what we are supposed to do now. We have to wait until such time that AI is already in the market fully in functioned. It is totally risky and not advisable but if that can be carried with your appetite, that is still okay as long as it was not an obvious scam. Yes, I was optimistic that it will work successfully, yet it takes more time. Maybe I was wrong for not believing it now but there is something we need to consider as well, many new promising projects turn scam.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 27, 2023, 09:30:19 AM
Spencer Dinwiddie just had to do it all, without the help of Luka Doncic, I also lost a players props' parlay due to the unfortunate incident, I didn't think much of it at first, honestly It didn't look serious and I felt he would return to the game at most at some point during the 2nd quarter, but I guess they chose to cautious due to nature of the game, and were still able secure the win.

Great game for him, he stepped up when it's necessary. Luka's early exit probably have chance the live betting spread, but it turns out it's just a trap after all as the Mavericks still won a game without Luka. I guess Dinwiddie needs to score at least 20 points per game to help Luka lessen the burden, because as what we've seen, we know he can do it.

They are trying but it does not happen as long as Luka is on the floor. Luka does dictate what will happen in the game because he holds the ball all the time, he can easily have a double double if he wants, and that makes him a better player. However, his teammates are not so independent as eventually they will just rely on Luka most of the time, and only in this type of occasion where we see a player showing their real potential, just like when Brunson exploded in the playoffs, Luka was out for many games that time.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 27, 2023, 08:20:47 AM
It appears that Oscar dela Hoya is showing his real agenda for this fight. It is not money, he wants a trilogy of fights between Tank and King Ry to collect the most money hehehe. This is something similar to Dan Larimer's ICO for EOS where the ICO was collecting money from the community for 1 year and became the largest ICO to have a token sale with $4 billion collected hehehehe.

“This is the best fighting the best, and I strongly feel that when you have a performance where you shine, where you look good, and you fight with passion, fight hard, there is no loser, there’s no loss.

“I see this fight as an even fight. Obviously, my boy Ryan Garcia is going to win, but I can see a trilogy taking place. It’s that type of fight because both guys are undefeated, both guys are young, and both guys are passionate about what they do. Both guys have a huge fan base. This is a trilogy.

I guess it's no secret though that he is after for the money with his current cash cow and that's why he is hurt when Canelo separate with him. And he even says that he wanted to fight Canelo, for what? yeah, it's all for the money.

Let's see though if a trilogy is needed, the fight should be close in the first one before we says that a rematch should take place. Otherwise it might not sit well with boxing fans if they will just have a rematch, also what is the story line in the rematch?

With the quality of fighters they are, I think it's alright to give them a trilogy, but that would not happen if one boxer beat the other 2 times in a row. Anyway, if this will be a close fight and no knock down, it would be easy to manipulate the result to give them a 1-1 to make that trilogy happen.
1734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody else confused by the dead-coins pump ? on: January 26, 2023, 08:39:33 PM
FTX, Celsius, Voyager,  and soon Luna ( probably )... all making ridiculous gains in this BTC rally.
Meanwhile some coins with good fundamentals and strong utility ( like Chainlink ) are doing poorly...  Huh C'mon...
Nobody will think that it pumps at first but can't just simply ignore how the whales work and the said manipulation is really making changes on its trend. But I don't think this could regain the trust and interest of the community knowing their past scam issues. I've said the said pump is not an indication that they still have the market potential, it was just because some people had worked a trick on it in order to look promising but it was not. They are already dead to the eyes of many investors - that is the reality.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 26, 2023, 02:22:44 PM
Based on the pregame spread, that was -6.5. 76ers led as many as 16 points in that game, I thought the spread will be covered easy, but with the unpredictability of the game, things like this could happen, and it's very costly because it's only one game that will destroy your winning parlay bet.
Yes, you are right, that's -6.5 before the game started at 2.00+. I was lucky I just picked the -3.5 there, didn't think it will that close considering Embiid was able to play although reported probable.

6 games tomorrow guys. Place your picks.
Boston Celtics vs New York Knicks - Boston Celtics (-8.5) - They lose 2 consecutive games, Celtics may want to get back on track of winning more than losing. As for their record, most of their home games are in big leads like 9+. I don't doubt they will win this one, I just wish the spread will be covered.

Charlotte Hornets vs Chicago Bulls - Chicago Bulls (-6.5) After the Bulls blew a 21-point lead against the Indiana Pacers, I bet they want this to end in a sure win by burying the Hornets in a big lead. When it comes to the offense they have more firepower than them, time to build a win streak and it starts here.

Brooklyn Nets vs Detroit Pistons - Brooklyn Nets (-6.5) Back-to-back game for the Nets and I wish Kyrie will be present. I know he doesn't like it but their team needs him. Also expecting this to be a high-scoring game. Over 230.5 as an addition.

I like the explanation on why you choose your bet. Bounce back from a lose is always a good factor to consider. I guess the pick with a high percentage of winning here is the Boston Celtics pick, it's their first game back home, and they came from 2 losing streak on the road, I believe they will be more than ready to dominate the Knicks, although I must say it's not guaranteed since NYK is also a good team, but I trust the home team here.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 26, 2023, 01:40:02 PM
Northport had a better game this time, they still lose the game but at least the game was close. It's just unfortunate that Sumang was injured when he was the one who have some good game to make it a close game. Still, Meralco's import is unstoppable tonight, but I'm glad I still won the handicap though.

Congrats NP handicap backers.
1737  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market on the Rise, But Proceed with Caution! on: January 26, 2023, 11:46:42 AM
There are always such thoughts about the cryptocurrency market... but what about the result?... Many people have been working for more than a day, and they see the result of such forecasts.
The result will depend on how hard everyone works. If they try harder than others, they can surely get better results. There is no result if people can't or don't want to try because what we get depends on how we try. Results will not lie to the effort put in by people. If they keep doing it by not giving up, they will get better results.
No matter how you work hard if it still not doing well, you can never expect good results. It was been said that trading is too risky, even if you have a deep knowledge of the market but still we need to be careful and think several times before making a decision otherwise, a mistake is possible.
We can't just think that the rise we have today is a good indication, sometimes it is also a trap for us. That is why we should observe the market trend as well and don't rush to make decisions.

What about Metaverse? Will this use case faces the same fate? I am worried that we are too haste into the future like we won't be needing this until some several years later, is this something to be worried about?
Meta is likely going to be established well but for me, I didn't really have the courage to put some money into them. Not really a thing to worry about but if we think about the future of these projects several years from now, not something that can't be answered. I'd rather invest in Bitcoin in this case for I was confident enough that it will stay.
1739  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we end the *VOLATILITY OF BITCOIN* on: January 25, 2023, 12:34:41 PM
It is like asking when Bitcoin becomes centralized so the price can be controlled. Otherwise, the volatility remains even if the government will take action.

But I guess OP, we have to accept the reality that Bitcoin has been created for such a thing and the price keeps moving up and down. Because what I think is that people become unhappy if the price becomes stable and it lessens the interest of the community if their chance of earning a huge profit is very slim.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 25, 2023, 11:52:32 AM
Lakers and Clippers game was interesting. Clippers played well in this game. The problem for the Lakers was only LeBron James the player who played exceptionally well and almost dropped a 50 bomb in this game. But it was a team effort from the Clippers. If LeBron James had a little help from his team, I think this game could have been a lot closer.

I bet he missed the old times when he is getting some help from Wade and others because they were unstoppable at that time and easily get to the NBA playoffs. Now they are having a hard time as if they are not gonna make it to the top 10. Whenever they win straight, they also lose some games in the future. Maybe it will gonna change when AD will play back and they really need to change their game if they want to be in the playoffs this season because their spot has not been changed at all since the start of the season.

Clippers have a good line up now, a healthy PG and Leonard will definitely have a chance to be in the Finals. Actually, even with Lebron and AD playing together, I think the Clippers are still good overall as a team. Lebron has been carrying the Lakers when Davis was injured, but against a good team like the Clippers, I guess his effort would never be enough.

Yeah, but I think Clippers will need to be consistent as well. PG and Leonard hasn't play that much this season, it's either one of the team to carry the team. But now it seems they both click with their rival team in LA.

But I'm still not totally sold on the duo, they have to win more games.
Clippers to win a championship has an odds of +1100. I think that's a very attractive odds now that the Clippers are healthy and they have lots of quality players in their roster. https://www.oddsshark.com/nba/championship-odds

Good game between the Wizards and Mavs, Dallas though make some mistakes in the end, and Wizards winning by just 1 point.

Yeah, that cost them 1 game. Actually Mavericks are struggling to win recently as we can see on their last 10 games where they only won 3 of those.
