1721  Economy / Economics / Re: Stablecoins to face new restrictions in Japan on: April 25, 2023, 11:38:47 PM
The government and the big banks of the conservative Japan want to have the monopoly of the money in their society and as a consequence, Tether and other stable coins have no place in their future model of economy. I must say I did not expect it from Japan. Let us see what happens next, I doubt they would do the same to Bitcoin, by the way.
I guess that's to be expected in a country where is about to develop their own CBDC. That's the main reason why they're making it and they don't want any interference whether some stable coins have been there stably being used by people globally. But then the main deal here is for them to introduce it to their own people and for them to have it used and that's why restrictions of its usage is a must and implement it so that people who got it will have to dump it and replace it with what's compliant to the government of Japan. They've got no control with Tether or any other stable coins that are there because it only shows that they are certain that they'll really have to implement its usage and its circulation should only lie into their economy and, could be soon be used outside their economy aiming the same purpose of USDT and of the same.
1722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spain's most anti-privacy and anti-crypto law comes into force. on: April 25, 2023, 10:08:51 PM
I think that's not even new to the most that have been using centralized exchanges. They keep our records and transaction data whether it's been for a year or two. That's why if by any chance a government started to ask a certain exchange that has an office or part of their jurisdiction for some data of their customers, they'll obliged to do that. While in many parts of Europe, these regulators are becoming too strict. I guess that everybody who has huge businesses up to the scale of exchanges are willing to extend their operations somewhere else like in the part of South Asia where they're encouraging businesses to come over there and have their operations there worry-free.
1723  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electrum not opening on: April 25, 2023, 08:14:13 PM
I'm using a PC version of Electrum. it's been a while since I last use their Android version.
I've experienced this type of delay in opening the wallet app but not with Electrum. As you've said that you've reinstalled it to fix the matter, it's likely that the case was the version that you've got and you've missed the update. That might be the cause of delay as to why Electrum don't open on your case but then in conclusion if it's the latest version and you're sure of it, take it that the suggestion of the friends we've said in here that it's a plausible hardware issue where your PC is the culprit of its delay. If you've got some other laptop or desktop, you may try to have some experiment for which can validate that it's your PC that's causing the delay.
1724  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin Twitter account hacked, $22k lost on: April 25, 2023, 06:16:39 PM
This made me remember the hack that has also affected a lot of Twitter users that have followed the advice of those known personalities to deposit into certain address and that was made by just a young one. Although for some standards, 45 minutes of getting back the account was still a nice gesture and refunding all of those verified funds that has been sent by the victims is the best that they can. These hackers may soon not gonna target users directly but these huge accounts from official exchanges or personalities which is gonna make everyone gullible since they're known.

2FA is good enough as long as you don't use SMS option
So practically, Google 2FA is the best? or one can even enable the three types of 2FA if possible, such as SMS, email, and Google 2FA?
Others are using Authy and yes, through SMS and email can easily be accessed by hackers once your data has been breached. There's this known sim-swap attack that does the thing.
1725  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Crypto Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: April 25, 2023, 09:39:47 AM
I visited unijoin's clearnet and tor mirror and just found a little detail that needs to be updated. As said on the OP, the minimum amount to be mixed is 0.001BTC.
Thanks for your comment!

Earlier one of the users already reported this typo, but due to some other tasks we forgot to fix it! This will be changed very soon.
Sorry if it was quite late when I reply, it was just a minimal issue and as said will be solved soon but then after checking it, still the same amount. Anyway, I've also taken a look that you've got a YouTube channel. I think the latest video that was posted 6 months ago will be a good addition in your landing page. What do you think?
1726  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I lost my btc after chipmixer was taken over on: April 24, 2023, 11:57:08 PM
Is that a lot of bitcoins that you've kept there? Well, if it's on their jurisdiction and there's the seize. Do you think that it's worth of your time to come to them and contest that your funds has been taken by them during the seizure of CM? After that, you'll have to say that you're a good person. We all know that anyone who uses a mixer only wants to increase their privacy and you'll prove it to them that you've just used them for that purpose and not with anything related to illegal activities. If the amount is tolerable to be forgotten, much better to keep it like that as you'll be battling against the actual government who have come to arrest and seize CM.
1727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when there is a bear run in Bitcoin on: April 24, 2023, 10:53:04 PM
During the bear market, those that have experienced it before will say that it's the best time to stack bitcoin. Because the price of bitcoin by that time is cheap and many don't feel that they should buy it as everyone is selling and has the same feeling, fear.

Evaluate dollar-cost: [..]This means investing a fixed amount of money at frequent intervals, regardless of the price. This can help you avoid buying at a high price and losing money.
There's also the understanding of DCA and that is to buy at any time that you wish. The intervals might not be the same and no patterns, as long as you get to buy it whenever you've got money and yes, that price don't matter at all because as soon as you've got money ready for buying, you'll use it.

1729  Economy / Economics / Re: SPENDING MORE THAN YOU EARN on: April 24, 2023, 03:00:13 PM
Yes once in a while it is never wrong to treat yourself. It is not as if you are torturing your self and act cruel towards your own health. Indeed is never bad but doing it also in moderation and knowing how much your allocated budget can also help. You must know when to act accordingly to your desire and know when to stop if you feel like it is already overly excessive. Money will come and go as they say, and being a hard worker is also a skill but it's not enough if you wanted to achieve financial stability that is why one must have to learn financial awareness and not only practice it but literally apply it.
It's understandable that life is tough for some and even eating out is being controlled. But then, you have to understand your situation if it's doable or not because just to have some of these tips being followed then it means that you're aware of your current situation.

Un-plan expenses most of the time is higher than the usual, I agree that paying for those extra expenses if being calculated will surprise you, it will apply the title of this post that you spend more than what you can earn, just imagine if you have your monthly expenses and you budget everything to make sure that you'll be able to cover your needs but there's time that you will spend money that's not included with your budget same with the way you said, eating out or treating someone is not part of your monthly expenses its additional that will ruined your finances.
Yes, we do spend more than we intend to save and earn because of those unplanned expenses. And that's why with such eating out that's not part of the budget and not planned, you'll see how much it will cost you if it's always done surprisingly. No one shall stop you from treating yourself but if it's too much to take and with inflation and cost of living in your area is also increasing, you'll really feel that.

👉👉Shopping with a list
👉👉Control your grocery list
I have something to add that's related to these two and that is before you go shopping, eat before you go. Yes, a very simple thing and reminder to eat before you shop. Because with all of those tasty and craving food that you'll see in the grocery store, you'll not be able to control your hunger and crave from those foods you'll see. That's why with this simple tip, you'll get to save eating out and just to be frugal, it's okay to eat outside but do it when you've got some spare or you think that you're not going to hit your budget when you do. And to have no budget constraints, if you can't help yourself but to spend more then the main solution is to earn more.
I feel what you have suggested. While we are hungry, we are potentially looking most of food on grocery store will look so delicious then coming the desire to buy anythings we are looking at. This small tip will always usefull to control what our grocery list to buy, so we do not spend more money for the things that we do not plan before. it may be small expenditure but if this case is done frequently so it will take a big enough amount of our budget.
I have been always the assigned guy to do our groceries and if I want to eat at home, I'll eat at home but whenever I forget to eat at home before going to the store. That's what I can't attain to avoid. Yeah, I eat outside whenever I'm hungry and that crave is never gone but it's mostly just done because I'm hungry and I spend more than the allocated budget that's given to me. That's why it's a small tip and act that everyone probably haven't noticed and when you sum up all of those eating out expenses, you'll be surprised on how much they've been when you do the calculations. I know sometimes we have to treat ourselves and eat outside when you think you deserve it but, sometimes it's also becoming too much.
1731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transformation of bitcoin is a sustainable means. on: April 23, 2023, 10:10:42 PM
Well, many have even treated it as a retirement fund but thinking of that only those people that can take the risk will do it. I'll still have my own personal savings while keeping a part of my bitcoin holdings as I how I understand the future that it's going to give me. While many still doubt it because of the changes that we're having in this world and it's a technology and finance related thing, they're unsure if it's what we're intending to say to them. But it doesn't matter, whether these people will believe or not. We do understand that the potential of bitcoin is greater than we might be expecting and that's why even with less money, we're allocating for us to accumulate little by little of it.

But we can't disregard the fact that not all people have the financial capability to save some for crypto market.
That's one of the biggest problem that others who want to invest in bitcoin but have been dealing with that problem of inability to buy because they've got less budget or they've got other priorities. But I think if they'll put it to a major priority, they'll do something with their ability to at least give it a budget just as what OP has given as an example like $10 per accumulation.
1732  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info/com questions on: April 23, 2023, 08:05:56 PM
1. If before 2015 or 2016, I've seen those posts on this section that the login was different and if you still got balance there and you're not planning to transfer it to another one of yours which isn't their wallet. It's possible sometime in the future that they might change the login procedure but then if it's said that you should keep those recovery phrases keep it but not your balance there.

2. That's your address but not your login info. There's specific login details that you need to make on them but I doubt it that you'll be able to use that as login since the requirement they'll be asking you is either your email or wallet ID which is gonna come from them IIRC.
1733  Economy / Economics / Re: Act as a Business Consultant and Provide Counsel on this Issue on: April 23, 2023, 06:49:46 PM
No experience - then that means that she has come to you for your counsel as she thinks that you may help her from this business. That's okay, she's willing to take a step ahead on this business and willing to ask people what they can suggest and learn from their opinions.
No funding - well, honestly someone who wants to start a business don't really have to put all in on such business. They can put a bit on it and then let it grow eventually until more funds come to them for expansion if it's viable. On this case, the risk that will be taken should mainly come from her and the idea of taking a financing must come from her. But then when she said that this is just gonna be a side hustle, there will be someone that should take a look on it as if it's a full time thing.
1734  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How mixer coins works? on: April 22, 2023, 09:32:40 PM
Don't forget about unijoin folks, they're also a mixer. And they've got an article and images on their website how crypto transactions are traceable and how you can restore your privacy through them or with a mixer. @OP, this is also a good example and illustration for you.
It's all written on this tab of their website: https://[banned mixer]/en/why-unijoin#dbexamples
1735  Economy / Economics / Re: New currency from BRICS countries on: April 22, 2023, 12:46:12 PM
Even though it was late still it's a brilliant futuristic idea of replacing dollar by other currencies for global trade. Because of dollar only so far all nations are suffering economically. Finally people outside NATO states will have sign, free from one sided dollar repression, sanction financial and military harmony.
That will take time. It's trendy that dollar is going to be devaluated because of this but then, it's hard to say if they can do what's being said to pull down dollars value through BRICS. Still, they're a few countries but then their economy will be impactful if they loose their ties with US and its dollar as its global currency for their trades. I think it's just there to start convincing other countries to join them with this globalization but then, many are still reluctant on it and won't jive in quickly just because it's been formed.

This also means that USD will not control the global market anymore, not to mention that when USD weakens, bitcoin will definitely go up and I am sure that a lot of us would want that to happen. My only fear with this is that China and Russia is leading this and it's definitely going to be bad for some Asian countries that aren't Chinese or Russian friendly.
We have to wait until it actually happens but for now, it's still controlling the world economy because it's the base of most trades and pairs of local currencies. I want to see bitcoin have its value go down but not optimistic to see that two countries go up as their ideology isn't optimistic and in line with most people.
1736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoiner still support the use of centralized exchanges? on: April 22, 2023, 09:04:14 AM
I did some research on Bitcoin because I was interested in it, and I discovered that the key principles of Bitcoin are peer-to-peer, anonymity, pseudonymity, decentralization, and operating without a middleman to ensure that Bitcoiners can have financial freedom. However, despite knowing that Bitcoiners adhere to these tenets, why do some Bitcoiners act contrary to them? Why do they continue to support centralized exchanges, use them, and retain their Bitcoin there?
Time is passing so fast and things are changing and that's the most constant thing in this world. Yes, all of those attributes sums up with bitcoin and we can't help with these changes adoption that happens. Someone who uses a centralized exchange doesn't mean that he's not a bitcoin enthusiast. Yes, there are P2P exchanges and transaction that we can do for us to have those bitcoins that we sell converted into any currency that we want. But I guess these purposes and attributes is being defeated by comfort and availability that we can see in cexs.
1737  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin permanently suspended my account and withholding my $$$ on: April 22, 2023, 06:23:04 AM
Sad to look at that but there's nothing you can do here or anyone with influence to alter their decision. If they've told you that you can take your deposit, then I guess that's the best option and just really have to accept that your winnings can't be taken anymore.
If the activity or style of bets you've made is against to their terms and conditions, they know what their terms are and they're giving you two options. The option 1 which is also suggested by other members here to give your btc address and take back your deposit is an easy thing and everything else is done with you and betcoin. And if you've got plenty of time and wanting to have a dispute, they're giving you that option as well.
1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inactive BTC whale transfers $8M worth Bitcoin After 10 years Inactivity on: April 22, 2023, 02:05:37 AM
How come a holder did not transfer his bitcoins after being inactive for ten years i.e. in 2021 when the price of bitcoins peaked, but in today's down market why did he transfer his bitcoins?
We've seen many of them in the past and this is no longer a surprising act that there are dormant accounts that have became alive lately whether it's bearish or bullish trend.
Well, the bearish trend pass 2021 is no longer that bearish at all if these bitcoins were accumulated 10 years ago or even just after 5 years ago. A lot of things have changed especially the pricing so, if they want to sell and come back to those forgotten accounts that used to be held by them, it's now profit taking for them. And to those that have been promoting HODL, this is what actually HODLing is.

1740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do not exceed your targets on: April 21, 2023, 09:42:50 PM
I have learned something so important in the previous bull market that got to about $30k . When the price of bitcoin was $21k I bought some bitcoin and after getting this amount of bitcoin I had target if it gets to $30,000 I will take profit, luckily it got to the price I was targeting but I was reluctant to take profit like I planned thinking the market price will go beyond $30,000 to get more profits but unfortunately the price didn't continue to increase,  but I'm not worried about that because I know the price will definitely increase again and I will get my profit of target.

I'm saying this because of some people who may have a target,  it is important for them to hodl to their target and not be carried away by the increase of price of  the market. The market can never be predicted, hold to your target and never be too greedy to make more profit. There is another day for another profit. This is important for people who have been patiently waiting for their target .
Good advice for yourself. If you're giving yourself a target, no heart feelings and just follow what you've set for. Many of the people that have set for target during the last bull run didn't take their profits because of greed and think that the price of bitcoin shall continue to a higher price.
I've learned my experience from 2017 bull run when I didn't take profits. It's normal for someone to feel that there's no need to take profit yet because price might be higher eventually. But then if you've seen in the past that bitcoin is highly volatile, you'll miss that moment within split seconds of not selling it. Always try to convert your profits into stable coins first so that you can comeback and buyback anytime the market goes in a correction. I've got my expectations set for short term and I've got mine as well for the long term. You need to put that boundary and target and do the necessary when you're at the right time.
