update
Amazingrando has paid me in full and package is on the way to him. He will update thread once he receives it, it has been a pleasure doing business with this gentleman and I would do it again.
1763  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: never mind its obvisouly impossible to buy legit paypal with btc on: November 02, 2011, 07:53:59 PM
I am sorry imsguy. I assumed based on the -10 feedback on bitcoin-otc and the fact that the payment never showed up after you said it was sent that you were trying to scam me, I do a ton of business on craigslist and  you have no idea how many people have tried to scam me by sending me fake paypal emails - its happened literally dozens of times. I did not know you could not receive money in paypal with a non verified email address, and the fact that you were trying to call me a scammer made me think even worse of you, I mean seriously dude, if you built up hero status and reputation on here since April and have a good standing reputation and all that would you throw it all away for a $50 scam? Dude look at my signature I mine $50 in about every 3 days. If I was going to do a scam it would be for big $$$ - I just sold somebody $600 worth of GPU's and they paid me up front no questions asked.

This whole thing was a senseless waste of time, and I really apologize if your intentions were honest and I thought not but this whole damn flame thread war was so senseless I hope we can put it to rest now.

have a good one.
1764  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: never mind its obvisouly impossible to buy legit paypal with btc on: November 02, 2011, 04:12:36 PM
Yes I would to hear that from him too so we can move on with life , imsguy we are waiting...
1765  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: never mind its obvisouly impossible to buy legit paypal with btc on: November 02, 2011, 04:03:31 PM
He does not have a side of the story he is not claiming he sent me money at all
The transaction we were discussing never took place
He did not agree to my terms and I did not agree to his terms

He felt like I was accusing him of being a scammer so he accused me of the same to defend himself
And blah blah blah another stupid thread and wasted time

No one on either side is claiming to have been ripped off by the other
1766  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: never mind its obvisouly impossible to buy legit paypal with btc on: November 02, 2011, 03:37:55 PM
He never sent any.
1767  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 20 BTC on: November 02, 2011, 03:22:20 PM
I hope your not calling me an asshat damn man I was just trying to convert some measly 15 btc to paypal people say that post counts don't count but everytimr I deal with a new member it's always a nightmare

This is the reason I demanded it be a gift otherwise they could charge it back and I'd be screwed / if they were legit traders they would not mind doing it as a gift because otherwise what are they doing?

They are paying for some tangible item that does not exist and then when this tangible item never arrives they can call fraud - and they will get away with it because I have no tracking number or eBay auction number or any other paypal accepted proof

I was totally in the right here , anyone with a brain can see that.
1768  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 20 BTC on: November 02, 2011, 01:50:49 PM
im sorry - I don't mean to call you a scammer - I really have no proof of that and I apologize

you were just in the unfortunate position of being the next person I tried to deal with after imsaguy

If you never intended to scam that I apologize. I will also post this in your other thread.

here is my latest transaction for all to see, I sold over $600 worth of GPU's to one person, he paid me up front in Bitcoins - you can ask him if I am legit or not (amazinggrando)

and to imsaguy - If you are not a scammer I apologize but anyone that looks at your feedback would think the same thing

1770  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I'm selling Bitcoins for Paypal or Credit Card! on: November 02, 2011, 01:42:41 PM
you guys are smart, thats basically the only way to sell bitcoins for paypal or cc - is to have some physical thing you can send them

very smart guys Smiley

http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=imsaguy

all these transactions are obviously fake - you got caught abusing the rating system thats why you got the -10

Amanda, you are just trying to save face, you know damn well you dont want to send paypal as gift because that way you cant charge me back.

these guys are pathetic

think about this

I have been building my reputation for the last 7 months, I am a hero member with a good reputation. I run businesses that are traded on GLBSE - but I am going to throw it all away for $50 right?

does that make sense? of course it does not.

now go away.

I don't have to prove anything to anyone, the deal never happened now I say it again go crawl back under whatever rock you came from
1772  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling Bitcoins for Paypal on: November 02, 2011, 01:34:41 PM
these people are both scammers

go get a life please I am too busy for this.
1773  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 20 BTC on: November 02, 2011, 01:32:39 PM
I consider this person to be a possible scammer. The reason being I offered to send them 15 BTC for $50 paypal and then when I requested they send it as a gift (for obvious reasons - make chargebacks harder) they backed out of the deal, I hardly think I am going to ruin my reputation for $50 and I think the person knows this. I mine $50 in Bitcoins every few days - I run successful Bitcoin businesses that are traded on GLBSE, I am a hero member and I have verifiable positive transactions I have completed on this forum. Do you really think I am going to throw it all away for a $50 scam? Of course you don't you wanted to scam me and I would not let it go down like that so you backed out trying to isinuate that I am trying to do something wrong.

Beware of this one...

Also beware of "imsaguy"

http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=imsaguy

he has a similar scam trying to get bitcoins for paypal - he swears hes legit too but if you check bitcoin-otc.com (above) you can see he got caught abusing the rating system with fake deals.

1774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prepaid debit cards? on: November 02, 2011, 12:34:49 PM
I think the charge back thing is regarded as being a little easier than it really is.

See as a true Bitcoin purist we are supposed to regard any kind of reversible payment as unacceptable.

How ever its not extremely easy to charge something back, the idea is that Bitcoin is a un-proveable non-tangible good you pay for it with a credit card and then claim it was never delivered is fake or something else than you have your credit card company / paypal investigate

It's not like there is a Charge Back button on your bank accounts web site and you can just get your money back anytime you buy anything.

It's probably a lot easier to charge back if you have a merchant cc account but other than that its not a simple little thing everyone does, this is something typically a very well resourced and prepared scammer would do to intentionally rip people off, I dont see your average person doing this on the regular, it is possible but not probable. If I am wrong some one please correct me but I think the whole charge back problem is mis understood by the general Bitcoin public.

After using eligius I really dont understand why any pool uses a registration system at all. It seems silly, unnecessary and insecure.
1777  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 30 MINUTES LEFT! on: November 01, 2011, 08:36:35 PM
I thought early gift givers get paid too, what happened to that?

Stats for Confirmed Gifts:
Gift Total: 199.1300
Payout Total: 0.0000
Fees Total: 3.9913
Pot: 45.7912
Stakes: 149.3475
Reimbursement: 0.0000

I guess I totally do not understand this thing and Its my own fault for putting 10 btc into something that admittedly calls itself a scheme Sad

maybe some day someone could post a better description of what this thing actually does.
1778  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 30 MINUTES LEFT! on: November 01, 2011, 07:48:54 PM
im confused about this thing, why has it not paid out yet?
1779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $10 million toward making Bitcoin successful on: November 01, 2011, 06:41:02 PM
Let us say that you won the lottery and you want Bitcoin to succeed in the long term. You want to take some of your earnings, $10 million, and use it toward making Bitcoin a fairly popular and useful currency of choice.

What would you do?
I would spend the money convincing walmart to accept Bitcoins in all of their stores world wide.
1780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how long ago did you heard about Bitcoin? Poll! on: November 01, 2011, 06:39:14 PM
