801  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 05, 2012, 01:36:22 AM

I am still connected, working my private pool for now.(Due to them sleeping) I am however getting a lot of not providing work fast enough messages in cgminer.

I am also getting a lot of "Pool not providing work fast enough" in cgminer when using gpumax.  Anyone have any ideas why?

same here, but not to worry I am sure pirate is on top of it
802  Economy / Gambling / Re: Selling BitJack21 hacker list 1btc on: April 05, 2012, 12:41:16 AM
I use a collection of aggressive black listing scripts on my servers and I have one with over 1300 permanently blocked IP's that have been attempting to hack my sites.  I am willing to sell this list so you can add to your own firewall (iptables) for 1btc.  The reason this list is valuable is because these are the kind of hackers that are just looking to steal btc.  PM me if interested.

is 127.0.0.1 on that list? That guy just wont leave me alone!
803  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Bitcointalk Benefit Raffle - Win a Saphire Radeon HD 7970 - 1 BTC to Enter on: April 05, 2012, 12:39:53 AM
So what (purely hypothetical) if you don't sell all the tickets anytime soon, would this raffle go on forever, or is there a 'hard-stop' to it?

Smiley

I have already answered this more than once, feel free to read my responses above

The raffle ends when all 300 tickets have been sold, but please do not let that bother you - I am dedicated to the success of this raffle, 300 tickets is nothing - I will do what it takes to push advertising and make this a success - tickets have been selling right along and will continue to do so, I have numerous advertising avenues including many which I own my self. My game plan is to stretch out advertising and not advertise in the same place all the time and keep the momentum going.

DO NOT WORRY I GOT THIS! SO RELAX MY BROTHER!

Most raffles have no where near as good odds as this one does, on top of that its a benefit raffle for our favorite forum. Its a WIN WIN.

Great idea Cable! I think you offering the raffle to others will do really well as a business.

thank you! Sales are continuing to come in - dont put this off too long my friends - get your ticket soon before they are gone, this is an awesome opportunity to get a Brand new Saphire Radeon HD 7970 for only 1 BTC

1 Bitcoin Gets you a 1 in 300 Chance
those are awesome odds!

Unfortunately the CPU is DOA

trying to work out a refund with OP now, will post to thread when its completed

Just a quick note, it was sealed as shown in the pictures, so it is no one's fault but AMD.

yeah its not the OPS fault, he had no idea its just bad luck

The blanked Bitcoin address is 1jyAQDoog4F4UFDt8nQCc2bTDGKcWydXd

People, you can't expect to protect your addresses if you talk about the amount of BTC that was involved in the transaction, and/or if you give the time of the transaction. Remember that the blockchain is public...
You didn't notice the little QR code thingy...? What a lot of work to reverse engineer the address from the date and the amount.  Roll Eyes

lulz

hahahahaha well everyone cant be leet hax0rs like you RJK Wink

808  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Neighbourhood Pool Watch 3.2 The risks of SMPPS on: April 04, 2012, 02:48:17 AM
top TRUST WORTHY Pools
(not in any kind of order)

Slush
BTCGuild
Eclipse
Eligius
Ozcoin

if you voted that you do not trust any of these pools you are just plain clueless.

I'm lost
p2Pool is the clear winner, followed by EMC and Ozcoin. Well done to all in the top three pools - you've gained significantly more trust in the community than others. from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=66026.msg806445#msg806445
or are you referring to the current "untrusted" poll?

let me edit

this is MY OPINION - not result of any poll
(sure no one cares but here you go anyway)

and yes P2POOL goes without saying - but its not really a pool is it

ozcoin is trustworthy also graet Wink

I just dont understand why some of these people voted - does not make sense to me so I had to share my opinion

I mean seriously 15% think Slush is not trustworthy? Come on...

this poll is FUBAR

Running a large operation in a tech savvy online community is like trying to write a paper with a bunch of grammer professors looking over you.

+1 one of the most apt statements I have seen in awhile

813  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA Information. on: April 04, 2012, 12:47:26 AM
Nothing of signifcance can be done with FPGA's besides mine.
Quite false. FPGAs are not only for mining, they can be programmed to do (almost) anything you want them to do. Indeed, products such as what Ztex sells, and the Icarus board are designed primarily as development boards. Others such as X6500 and BFL are more suited to mining only, but the chip can do many other things once it has been reprogrammed.

BS. BFL and encrypted bitstream = not possible "for sure"

Also, unless they explicitly provide the special WPA cracking bitstream then they are useless.

I don't know how to make my own bitstream and I doubt many of us here do ...
BS to you. While we don't know for certain what chip is in BFL's product, that does not mean that all FPGAs are single purpose. Even if an encrypted bitstream is used, it is possible to flash the chip with a non encrypted one. The purpose of the encryption is to prevent others from copying the bitstream, NOT to prevent the chip from being used for other purposes.

plus its only a matter of time before someone is able to decrypt it and get the bitstream

I believe the same is possible to determine which chip they are using

if it can be done it can be undone.

the bottom line is if you believe in bitcoin for the long term FPGA is a great investment

if you do not believe in bitcoin for the long term you have no business even considering buying one

<begin shameless spam>

if you want more information on FPGA including comparisons of all the known fpga miners and GPU as well check out http://wiki.btcfpga.com

for the record

We have sold 31 tickets in the first 24 hours and have not even begun to advertise

I would consider that a successful first day Smiley

Transisto:

Have you purchased a ticket?

Why are you so concerned about this? 300 Tickets is nothing we are selling at a great rate and almost everyone I have talked to is  very excited about being a part of this. I am sure we will be at 300 before you know it, again CoinRaffle.com is dedicated to making each and every raffle a success - If I have to advertise on every platform available I will - I have several advertising avenues I use on a regular basis, I know how to make this work. Relax its OK, everything is going fine.

Free market is a wonderful thing, If I wanted to make this raffle end at 1000 tickets I am in my rights to do so, if you have a problem with it just do not participate. All the rules and terms are in black and white for all to see - there are no tricks or gimmicks here.

This is a great opportunity to get a 1 in 300 chance to win a Very nice GPU for only 1 Bitcoin, those are awesome odds and well worth it, plus even if you lose you know 20% is going directly to the forum so no matter what its a win win.

Just want to confirm I received the CPU and the OP is legit. Smiley

Will be making payment a little later today

thanks!

Mine shows an x now. I sent an email. I hope I am the one who did purchase ticket 001 as I paid for it. I don't want to sound overly negative either. You did good work on this website

I can confirm only one person has purchased 001 - I assume that is you Smiley

819  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Bitcointalk Benefit Raffle - Win a Saphire Radeon HD 7970 - 1 BTC to Enter on: April 03, 2012, 01:04:55 PM
Ordered a ticket and everythign went smooth. However, my nr. is still purchasable.

As of right now all purchased tickets that I have received confirmation for have been credited and tickets made UN-purchasable.

Usually Bit-Pay confirms purchases to me after 1 Bitcoin network confirmation but I cannot do anything without confirmation on your purchase from Bit-Pay

if you think the transaction has already been confirmed please email tom@coinraffle.com - thanks!

820  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Bitcointalk Benefit Raffle - Win a Saphire Radeon HD 7970 - 1 BTC to Enter on: April 03, 2012, 12:34:36 PM
Thank you to everyone who has participated so far!

Let me answer some questions

q) What if the tickets do not sell?
a) I really cannot imagine this happening, I put a lot of thought into this and I believe 300 tickets is an easily achievable goal. We have already sold 18 tickets in under 24 hours. I am advertising this on multiple platforms and venues
if things start to slow down I will continue to push advertising until all the tickets are sold. This will be one of the benefits for future clients who want to host their raffle at CoinRaffle.com - we guarantee success and will do what it takes to complete a raffle.

q) Wheres my red x? What happens if someone else buys my ticket
a) As of right now, All the Red X are there that are supposed to be there, for those that have experienced a delay - I apologize, this is our first raffle and I have been trying to streamline this process as much as I can as we go here; Bit-Pay can only do so much so I have had to work the rest of the process out myself. I will continue to try and improve the automation of this process and if two people buy the same ticket (has not happened yet) the ticket will go to the first one that purchased the ticket and I will contact the second buyer to determine what other ticket they want.

q) Why do we need new forum software? I like things just the way they are.
a) Like it not, Bitcointalk forum has pushed SMF to its limits and its only growing bigger. New forum software has been the goal of all of the Bitcointalk.org fundraising that has taken place here for quite some time and its something that is really needed.

Thank you for your questions and suggestions - I welcome them as help to streamline this process!
