1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: July 08, 2015, 07:13:06 AM
I'll have to go with SDC, BLK, BAY, START (at the moment at least)

SDC and BLK have shown constant growth overtime with no big jump in short period of time. When I invest my hard earned bitcoin I have to make sure that there is no big jump (whether upward or downward I don't care). BAY has been looking solid and it has no whales so it can have great future. It has been fluctuating between 50-100 sat) for last 8 months...so I would consider it a good investment.

bitcoin decides ltc fate..ltc is lucky to have such a good friend

No it doesn't stop saying this crap.

I'm surprised you think that way.

Day 1: BTC reaches $1000
LTC reaches $25

Day 365: BTC reaches $200
LTC reaches $3

Day 485: BTC reaches $266 after greece news
LTC reaches $5

it can't be just coincidence. Can it?

Lets look at their chart and see if we can find something in common

BTC

LTC

lol  Grin

that's funny because to me it sounds like he sees startcoin as threat to bitcoin...in that case it could be good thing for startcoin because it's getting more visibility

Karl Gray..who is Karl Gray. I can't find anything about him in google. How is he mega whale?

could this be trap?

I highly doubt anyone would invest in CIRC for that ugly looking squarrel
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Scams were good for crypto on: July 08, 2015, 03:49:00 AM
Here is why:

I don't see that many scams anymore because investors have learned to stick with good old coins with good community involvement. Yes, people are still creating chit coins but they're merely doing it for little gain (1-10 btc profit at most). You won't see anyone running around to scam 5000 btc out of anyone because it ain't gonna happen and investors are getting smarter....all investors have learned their lesson from past scams and personally I would rather play safe than sorry.

Scams gave more visibility to "good coins" and eventhough people lost money it was very much needed in order for crypto to evolve.

thoughts?

Whoever is trying to press the price down iv got to say its the weakest attempt iv ever seen and iv been around since the start of crypto lol

You made me buy off the wall your that bad at it!!

haha. can't agree more  Grin. I've been watching this guy since yesterday and must be most pathetic and boring attempt I've ever seen in my trading life. He does it for a while and then someone comes out of nowhere and buy 10-40 btc worth and then he is back at square one but he doesn't give up

how many coins do you receive per week if you move them to startjoin?

I wanna move them but if it's 1 coin per week I would rather not bother with it

I believe it depends on how any coins you have. I'm getting around 15 coins a week.

that's not much. how many total coins do you have? do they send out every friday?

I only have 10k on Startjoin right now, I currently have the rest on exchanges. Still, 15 coins a week for free is 15 more than I had the week before. Especially if you think this coin has great longterm potential, which i do. Yes, they payout every Friday, the time of day seems to vary though.

oh wow. I don't have close to that..I would barely get 7 coins per week...might as well buy low sell high..rinse and repeat

well investors are getting wiser after getting scammed so many times so I'm not surprised

If the 8k sat will be a new floor it will be fine for me

Me too! I'm in it for the long haul.

Not so long ago, when I first posted in this thread, it was infested by trolls and stalking horses ready to turn on Startcoin at the first opportunity. People had stopped posting. It was like a mauseleum. Genuine posters were swamped out by the hate-filled sock-puppets. And today it's the same old, tired, distorted messages and mis-quotes from them. Only the names of the sock-puppet, trolls change. It seems that Max Keiser and Startcoin have ruffled a few feathers along the way!

The anti-Startcoin/anti-Max Keiser posts are nothing new. I invite any genuine person to read through this thread and you will see what I mean.  Don't just read this thread. Check out other sources. Be well-informed and make your own decisions based on fact - don't let others with hidden agendas make them for you.  Wink

I agree this coin has huge potential and could possible replace LTC. Lot of big names behind it and it's going at constant speed..I hope it doesn't become next quartz though.
1778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do useful alt coins fail in price? on: July 05, 2015, 09:18:26 AM
it's cause people want to make 5000x times within a day rather than 100x within a year. Greed makes people invest in shitcoins with no value and because of that good coins suffer.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is most important ? on: July 05, 2015, 08:57:01 AM
I think profit is important.

and want to invest altcoin, and short time !

and want flexible coin

then recommend me

how about your discussion ?

Here is my opinion and it's just an opinion not a fact.

Focus on coins that have been in market for a while and has good community/dev etc...there are only handful of coins.

If you try to ride the wave there are 90% chance that you'll end up losing all your investment.

I learned my lesson hard way and lost lot of money in shitcoins that went from 5k to 4 sat within a day. Now, I just stick to alts that have stable community and gaining slowly but contantly...less money and most good coins only gain 5-10% per month but that would be considered extremely good in any kind of investment. Don't be too greedy and think that you'll be able to ride the wave and will get out just in time because it ain't gonna happen all the time.
1780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is most important ? on: July 05, 2015, 06:27:35 AM
Longterm: SDC, BUCKS, START, BLACKCOIN, BITBAY (less risky)

shorterm: any shitcoin would do. (more risk)

How is risk calculated?

If I can sell my coins for same price or just little less value within a week it's considered less risky. 10-30% than my buying price would be considered less risky.
