Totally agree about time telling, like I wrote before, by the end of November I expect to hear something back. Steve hasn't been asking for any funds yet, despite mentioning future projects to me.

There's obviously a deficit at least concerning the website orders, or refunds would have been processed smoothly. I count myself lucky to have received a refund for my chips. Though I didn't consider myself as shouting particularly loudly, just persistant.

The mining difficulty is going bonkers right now, and with people desperate for potentially uneconomical mining hardware I don't see it lessesning until next year.

Received my tracking, kind of excited. Don't know why, they're pretty useless now.

I guess I'll keep one or two as a reminder about preordering anything LOL.

I guess we can keep it bumped, but I still have a lot of faith in Steve coming through. It doesn't make sense some people being refunded and others not if his intention was to dissapear.

Ouch.  Shocked
1765  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: T13hydra - Thread Locked, Unofficial Disscusion on: November 01, 2013, 12:26:34 PM
Problem is  that ppl will not know about this thread unless they are searching for it. It should be stated in the last post of the Steves original thread that this thread is follow up for ppl involved.

I actually assumed that a thread like this would be started. Closing a thread with so many people still hanging was probably not the best thing to do or really very fair, and unless this professionalism materializes that was written bout in Steve's last post one can only assume that his true intention was to "bury" it as much as possible.

I've tried to remain as positive as possible, but I'm just really dissapointed by how this has turned out.

How long did it take you guys to get a reply when you requested shipping? It's been over 24 hours and I've heard nothing.

I got my reply with tracking info within 24 hours.  The email did not come from steamboat, and to be honest looked really spamy. but the title said "... has sent you a package."

maybe check your spam folders.

Nah, nothing. I'll resend, I'm just confused as others seem to have been serviced so fast.

Steve didn't reply to my request to be put on the mailing list for whatever he is doing in the future. I would have expected to be added to it considering he should have my email on record already, but I wanted to make sure it was on the new list if he was creating it from scratch.

It could be he's busy with other things.

I think we will hear more from him one way or another before the end of November.

I understand Steve locking the thread, but I agree that a place to discuss this moving forward is a good idea. I'm sure Steve will be starting another thread for his future endeavours, so maybe we will discuss things on there.

Until then, I'll be watching this thread.

Did anyone from batch 1 got refund? I bought my chips at Auction...

I got some on auction too, you'll have to speak to Steve for a refund. From my experience the auction allocation recording was a little fuzzy. Steve refunded me as I provided txid ect..

Wait for the updated f/w the group of devs were up all night working on it. I think they solved it around 3 a.m. let them sleep then we can see what they come up with now that they have a functioning source.

Haha, okay. Good stuff.

I got a reply from Steve. I asked about refunds of boards and gave an estimate of how much he will be able to refund. I won't go into specifics as it's not my place to. I'm fairly certain (short of travelling and seeing him) that Steve is working hard to salvage what he can from the situation. He also seems likely to plough on with future projects.

My guess, everything is still up in the air concerning lots of things though.

To all those still waiting on refunds, all I can advise is to provide your information via the email on the website. I don't yet believe that anyone will be out of pocket in terms of chips at this point.

which email on alphahpc.com?

There is an email address on the site, which I used. I believe I used the website form at some point too. After that I was contacted by Steve on a separate email address, I guess his personal one. I've also been in touch through the forum messaging system over the months of this debacle.

Still nothing? Wow.
1777  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 17, 2013, 08:22:55 AM
Heh ya I'm depressed too shit! Lost my job after putting all my savings into bitcoin miners.  Lesson learned the hard way I suppose... Wish I had a refund to pay the bills Cry

Wow that's rough mate. Sorry to hear this.

I'm also willing to wait a few more days. The problem is lack of communication from Steve and not knowing what's going on.

Frankly I'm surprised that there aren't more people on here posting. I really feel we have given Steve more than enough time to fix as much as he can. Unless something heinous has transpired then I'm sure we can be understanding of whatever the situation is.
1779  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: October 16, 2013, 10:42:28 AM
That all makes senses, I guess we keep waiting.
I dont like this. We should not be kept in the dark.

There is absolutely no reason why he would not inform us other than he is doing something against our interests.
There just must be a time for giving us some status messages and he is not doing that. He is silent.

So many group buys went or have gone this way. There are steps that can be taken, but I am willing to wait until the weekend.

There is no reason why people should not have been refunded for the chips by now or the end of this week.
1780  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: October 16, 2013, 08:24:28 AM
I filled out that refund request on Sept 11 for 768 chips on batch 5 and still to have yet receive any notice.
Lack of receipt or verification on where I stood has been frustrating. I waited because everyone on the forum posted it was taking 2 weeks or more. Then that E-mail was sent out about the refunds on Oct 2. I sent out an e-mail a few a days after that email to get some info about my refund and here I am almost over 1 month over since I sent that request and two weeks since I emailed on update yet I still have no info.

My brother who at the same time has received shipping from KNC.

I would at least have expected some answers with all that Btc on the line.
Receipts for purchasing was done in a day or two in yet no answer for emails about refunds two weeks and counting.

 Huh

It's easy to reply to emails when you are taking in money. Not so much when things are going pear shaped.
