I wouldn't bother mining in MPH at the moment since their chain could be labeled as orphan. Maybe something went wrong with the upgrade though and we get another date for the fork.
In that case their chain will be okay.
1782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 30, 2018, 01:58:27 PM
And where is Electroneums garantee that all these gpu's don't switch away if mining is no more that profitable or other coins are way more profitable? I bet the majority will leave the ETN
network in lightspeed forgetting about all his decentralization small talk, lol. What a joke.

Nicely constructed post, but I'd like to answer only the quoted part.
I'm sure you know it but maybe you forget it... if the price falls then some miners will ofcourse leave because they don't find this coin "profitable" to mine, okay. But after they leave there will be more coins for those who stay, so their "profitability" will stay about the same but at the same time they'll get paid in more ETNs. So the holders will be more profitable if the miners amount is reduced.
1783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 30, 2018, 01:46:09 PM
Monero's block 1539501 (after the ASICs were blocked) took 3.50 minutes.
Electroneum's block 307500 is 360 minutes in and still nothing.

I believe it's safe to assume that something has gone wrong. I can understand how the team must be like at the moment, they're probably too busy to update us but I hope they'd send someone to let us know on the status.
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 30, 2018, 11:26:48 AM
Why someone is decreasing his network 100x with intention is out of my logic anyway as i thought the
more hashrate on a network the faster and more secure .......

This update was not about decreasing the hashrate of the network, it's about decentrilizing it. That was the goal.
As things were with ASIC miners,
1) Only the few people who would be able to afford their cost would buy them
2) Those ASICs that were not bought could be used by the manufacturer in a huge farm, though there's no way we can know if that happened
3) If the manufacturer of these ASICs decided to put a killswitch inside the miners, they could shutdown the whole network anytime and make theirselves the sole miner.

The aboves are the main reasons people are against ASICs in general though, not just the ETN miners. Sure there are a few positives, as a more "secure" network against 3rd parties, but for me that doesn't offset the risk of providing to someone from the inside (the manufacturer) the keys.
1785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 30, 2018, 11:14:48 AM
Which are the working pools? I know etn.spacepools.org was steady and had a nice 20% share of the global hashpower before the ASICs.
Any other suggestions?
1786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 30, 2018, 11:01:43 AM
I get this in my wallet

Balance updates are taking a bit longer than usual. Please try again shortly.  Shocked

Not enough time since fork by now? Why doesn't the wallet update?

No new mined block = No wallet update

Why? Aren't there enough miners on the network?? How long since last mined block?

Not enough. the greedy GPU miners waiting the network difficulty to stabilize then come in

They are not helping at all

Don't put us all in the same basket.... Angry I'm mining with 1070s and 1070TIs even though it's not exactly the most profitable thing to do. I'm just supporting the transition as best as I can.
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 30, 2018, 08:17:37 AM
I'm not seeing the new blocks on etn.spacepools.org, nor on blockexplorer.electroneum.com.

Is this working properly?

I guess that the first few blocks will be hard to mine. The difficulty is set at high levels for ASIC users so until that falls.....
1788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 30, 2018, 07:27:43 AM
It certainly didn't! See ya ASIC miners!  Wink
Per Electroneum's FB page it happened at around 06:30 AM forum time on May 30, 2018. The following message was posted:

"Congratulations to the community ETN’s Network has hit block height 307,500.

Remember if your exchange and mining pool nodes are not updated by now, any new ETN will not be recognised by anyone who has completed the upgrade."

(FB post link: https://www.facebook.com/electroneum/posts/2005193009742667).

Is this some kind of mistake? I can't open facebook links from where I am but what I can see is that at the moment we're at block 307489
1789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 30, 2018, 07:22:44 AM
I've actually got 3 questions

1/ how come etn.spacepools.org is already accepting hash from me if I specify "normalv7" in my config file? The fork isn't until tomorrow morning!?
2/ can I still mine towards my old wallet address?
3/ Will I be able to upgrade that wallet and keep the address?
1/ they may have trust in you, if you have mined with `normal` before switch to `normalv7` (its just an assumption)
2/ yes
3/ yes
Thanks buddy.
Although I don't really believe the "trust" thing, lol... More like they might be running v7 on testnet. I'm noticing I'm submitting shares but I'm not getting paid for that hash.
EDIT: bloody hell, I am getting paid. I'm confused now...  Huh

Are you using XMR-stak? If I remember correctely, when first Monero announced the update to v7 this miner was instructing us to change the config files into Monero v7 BEFORE the fork. The miner would work on both the old and the new algo when set in v7 based on what the pool provides it.

is cryptopia exchange already updated their nodes?

Don't be impatient, give them a month or two!
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: May 29, 2018, 08:03:31 PM
I've searched the last pages of this huge thread but I couldn't find any reference to Gridcoin or Boinc.

This project seems very similar to the Gridcoin which I'm currently supporting with my CPU while my GPUs are mining.
Elastic seems to be built from the bottom for what it does though, while Gridcoin was just attached to another platform which was running before the blockchain technology (16 years now to be precise).
Is there any other reason that Elastic is better than BOINC? Maybe the two of them are different in many ways and I'm just missing something?

https://talk.elasticexplorer.org/t/elastic-compared-to-other-competitors/30
"The problem with this approach is the involvement of a central authority. The distribution of Gridcoins (GRC) can be tampered arbitrarily the moment an attacker gains access to the centralized service. Also, the existence of Gridcoin depends on the existence of BOINC. If the latter service dies, so does Gridcoin unless an update is rolled out which moves the Proof-of-Research mechanism to a different service.

In Elastic, we do not have such problems: we do not rely on any other third party service and neither do we depend the payout process on any kind of external (not tamper proof) factors. Instead, the measurement of the amount of computational contribution as well as the payout process is done entirely in the protocol itself."

Thanks for the info. I'm afraid of that exact issue with BOINC. However it's much easier to use than XEL is... or at least seems to be. I read the instructions today and though I understood what I had to do, it was a lot of trouble!
1792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: May 29, 2018, 02:26:39 PM
But the most important question for me is the following. You are hating and FUDing about Verge for weeks or maybe even months now. We all know you hate Verge (for whatever reason). And hey, it is ok for me. I only hope you know why you hate it. But, why dont you make anything else with your time? I think you sold all your Verge, so why are you here every day? It looks like you are sitting in front of your pc 24/7, just waiting for any possibility to announce bad news about Verge. That seems very pathological to me...

I am completely serious when asking you that. I would be very interested in finding out, why someone is spending so much time in a thing, he dont like... I cant understand that...

Maybe there is a reason for that BTX-Footer-Spammers, they use every possibility to spread their links. But you dont even have a Footer... So i really have no idea... Did you really lose so much money and want to take revenge now? In the end, even that would be kind of pathological... But hey, i am just trying to understand it...

And at least one more time for you. I am invested in Verge with a very small amount, that i did not even buy, but mined it last year. I am not "dreaming on the Verge cloud" or whatever. But meanwhile, i really think, that there are a lot of people in this thread, and even worse in the "XVG-Attack"-thread, that strongly need some medical care...

I guess they lost money or they didn't get the profit they were hoping for and all they can do is rage on this thread! Grin
1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 29, 2018, 02:24:26 PM
Just out of curiousity, what happens when most of the hashpower somehow stays with the old chain?

Not 100% but I think the blockchain will split as long as exchanges keep accepting the old and the new blockchains and there are pools that run on both blockchains.
But that doesn't have to happen the moment of the fork, at any point in time someone can copy the code of a blockchain, make an airdrop to the original's blockchain users and try to steal people with empty promises! Tongue

In either case, as long as most people trust the original developer and their choices, there's no reason for a split.
1794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 29, 2018, 01:26:54 PM
I think this post is an old announcement

I don't understand about Merit? what exactly I must do?

Read the first post of this thread and if this doesn't help, get better at English first and then join a forum!

we assume that all xvg's are hacked, max 1,5 billion xvg can be hacked.. max supply is 16,5 billion

1,5/16,5 =%10   price can be %10  dump.    but now price %50 down  whyyyy?

I guess if the devs won't rollback immediately in order to deprive the hackers from their dirty money, the users have to bring it down in order to at least mitigate how much richers the thieves will get.
Not that rolling back a blockchain is a good solution... the team had to choose between two evils.

Wow, how late is received information... Why disappeared white paper on header?
Developers have joint plans with PUBG? To date, the project is troubling, it's so sad Embarrassed

All the information has been posted on our blog in a timely manner, please make sure you subscribe so you are up to date! Smiley

https://blog.firstblood.io/

We have a working product and are devising solutions to integrate with a verity of games regardless of their team's technological stages. Blue Hole is one of the more open game development firms and that is why we are focusing on PUBG integration.

About the working product... is there any way to turn my 1ST tokens into PT or in any way use them for tournaments?
I've read about how you're allowing us to win USD and withdraw them to Skrill but can I deposit my 1ST and use them? What's the point of 1ST if we use USD instead.

BTW, have you looked into the ARK platform/ecosystem? It's an alternative to Ethereum and it might offer better tools for your platform.

Is there anyway to increase the minimum balance before payout?
I deposit to crypto-bridge and if I get payouts every 59 minutes I get a high fee. You pay hourly so it shouldn't be a problem, but if there are a few seconds difference I might get this penalty.
