1781  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on 30k how was your feelings ? on: April 12, 2023, 06:33:51 PM
I'm happy whenever I see bitcoin's price go higher. Why wouldn't I be sad if I see it up? One thing that someone will be sad when that happens:
1. Missed out the buying opportunity.
2. As you've said, you think that it may fall anytime soon. But don't worry, it's normal in the market to have a sudden push and fall.
If bitcoin's pump is no longer making you happy then what is going to make you happy? Find somewhere else your happiness through the market.  Wink
1782  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Exchanges without KYC? on: April 11, 2023, 11:28:59 PM
I've also used them before but, why don't you just use a VPN and access them? But compared to the other instant exchanges, based on my experience the fees that they've got is higher than the others.

Yes. Sideshift.ai is very expensive compared to other alternatives such as FixedFloat and CoinPlaza. It would be an option of a last resort, when all else fails. Despite the fact that instant exchanges are convenient (no KYC), they can easily be shut down by the government due to their centralized nature. That's where atomic swaps come in.
I just did that when I was curious after seeing them and I tried so that's basically the first thing that I've noticed since I do compute how much I should receive and how much the fee will be being projected on that transaction. I agree, they're subject to scrutiny if a government starts to look at them as something they can no longer ignore.

There's an app called AtomicDEX that uses atomic swaps technology for trustless crypto trades.
I'll get to try that soon.

If we had a variety of alternatives, crypto would be truly unstoppable. The only downside is that you cannot buy/sell crypto with Fiat using this innovative tech. Thus, P2P would be the only on/off ramp to/from the crypto/Fiat worlds without the need for KYC. Regulations are getting fierce each day, so only time will tell us the fate of no-KYC exchanges as alternative for those seeking true privacy and anonymity. Just my thoughts Grin
That's true, when before that anonymity isn't really a thing that government and regulators would mind but now they do. Hopefully that even the time will come that they're all strict and requires even the no-kyc instant exchanges to be kyced, there must be ways for having another alternative which usually comes at those toughest times done by those concerned devs and enthusiasts.
1783  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your money wisely - another lesson, Techie tries to suicide. on: April 11, 2023, 10:21:21 PM
He's got the IT/tech background so I guess that he's aware of the things that circulates in the crypto market. It's just sad to see people trying to solve their investment problems by ending their lives. So, there's a deeper story on this news of this guy. Don't use anyone's money to invest or gamble with what you've known for a while. Someone has to always be reminded about this that if it's not your money, do not have the desire of spending it for something else like in investments. Also, this...

He broke first rule of investment.

Only invest what you can afford to lose.

I really want to say something nasty and flippant, but I won't.

Instead I will hope that he learns from this and does not over spend on investments.
I agree, that basically had pushed him to do this attempt. Without having enough money to invest and going on with investing more by not understanding the risk, you'll be ending up suffering that thought. I'm also thinking the same that there will be a lot of straightforward words to be said on him but he's in an unfortunate situation to absorb those.
1784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Crypto users' data is stolen in the name of Ledger IPO's whitelist.. on: April 11, 2023, 06:28:09 PM
I believe that my data was already compromised before through them and that's why I've received some fake emails telling me that they've got me a new Ledger wallet and I've won their raffle. And with that image, as Facebook and the same just as google ads, a potential scammer/hacker can easily advertise their words and links through the said social networking website. They're no longer too strict with policies on who's able to advertise through their platform and who's not. As long as someone is paying for that sponsorship or advertising, that won't matter to them. Before, they've banned ICO advertising but later on lifted it so I guess these scammers are taking advantage of it. Ledger has already made a warning at the top of their website about potential phishing. And I believe that form will lead to that.

Beware of phishing attacks, Ledger will never ask for the 24 words of your recovery phrase. Never share them.

1785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of operating completely anonymous on: April 11, 2023, 11:29:49 AM
If anyone can please add their expertise here on being completely anonymous for the sake of the masses. In a world that is centering on control and tracking activity as a means of control, what are the best measures one can take in any given region for the sake of remaining completely anonymous online with not only bitcoin transactions but online anonymity with delicate private information on not only location whereabouts but financial data, social data, phone number and email privacy etc?
Don't be too showy with all of your life happenings in social media. You don't imitate those people that keeps on bragging their achievements, things, vacations and other things. And only register to websites that you're really using because if you sign for random websites and that includes your main email, you'll be swarmed by scam emails that you might fall because of how scary their message about your "dirty little secrets". That's how they manipulate their victims and scares them as if they really know what you do but in reality, those are just scary you and tries you if you're gonna fall. For email, I've read that the most suggested one is to use protonmail.
1786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not own Bitcoin but like to discuss about Bitcoin on: April 11, 2023, 09:10:49 AM
Do anyone else not own Bitcoin but like to discuss about Bitcoin like me?
Every day, I still read news about Bitcoin and check its price, but currently, I don't own any Bitcoin. Lol.
I have friends that discusses about bitcoin and they follow the news. I'm even surprised that they're doing that because they've told me that they won't buy bitcoin for some reasons. It's not only you that do check the prices daily and check everything bitcoin without having it. And I guess that even starting to think that you've missed buying the bottom when the price is surging. Don't you have plans of buying bitcoin? Because it could be another missed opportunity for someone like you if you're not going to give time of buying it now. With those researches that you've made, I guess that you're now encouraged and wanting to have it after all of those times that you're feeling the negativities that's coming out from you.
1787  Economy / Services / Re: International Seychelles Business Formation - Set up your business in Seychelles on: April 10, 2023, 11:06:01 PM
No website just a contact me is not really what you should do.
Have a website, some social media and then you post here. Much higher chances.
And then post prices.
I agree, his online presence needs to be validated to have more details about you. Putting up a service like this of assisting people that wants to have business information being placed on Seychelles should include those platforms and accounts. It's not about doubting OP or what not but it's about the typical things of someone likes him to have which is a basic thing. It will also help him and the potential businessman to save both of their times. Businessman can just read details on those accounts in social media or read the FAQ on his website for those usual questions that will be asked and then if it's unclear and there's no detail yet about it and they want to start negotiating, they'll contact you.
1788  Economy / Economics / Re: Essentials to starting A business on: April 10, 2023, 07:11:02 PM
A clear business idea: Your business idea should be well-defined and specific. You should have a good understanding of your target audience, competition, and the problem your business solves.

A business plan: A comprehensive business plan can help you identify potential obstacles and create a roadmap for success. Your plan should include a market analysis, financial projections, and a marketing strategy.
I think these two can be merged as one and it means that you truly understand the business that you're setting up. What's wrong with the businessmen that I saw that's trying to build something, they're starting from scratches and have no idea of what they're going in. I mean, that's not a problem to them but they need to have at least know what they're doing and they won't start from scratches if it's just about the business idea or concept that they're starting to put.

Sufficient funding: You'll need enough money to cover startup costs, ongoing expenses, and to keep the business running until it starts making a profit.
an increase your chances of success and build a strong foundation for your new venture.
Another wrong strategy that I've seen with those that have startups, they're quick in launching their VCs knowing that they're just starting and haven't proved anything yet. Yes, as in with zero results and yet they're very optimistic with the idea and business that they've set up. It's not wrong to be that positive in the business or startup that you're making but come on, investors want realistic results first and what you've achieved and why you want to expand. There should be the foundation already and the business is already in operation. I just saw a group of startup people that are doing like that, no results but seeking investors to fund them. That's why I admire more those startup owners that pulls money out of their own pocket and even uses their other assets for collateral.

Legal and regulatory compliance: Make sure you're aware of any licenses, permits, or certifications required to operate your business legally. You should also consult with a lawyer to ensure you have all the necessary legal documents in place.
This is a must, another thing that I've noticed. Those that are starting, they're like making a trial and error. If the business booms, that's the time they'll register and have permits but if it fails, that cost them no money from taking permits. But whether it will fail or not, businesses should be registered.

A support network: Starting a business can be stressful, so it's important to have a support network of family, friends, or mentors who can offer advice and encouragement.
There are countries that have this good connection to their friends and relatives that they support when someone started a business, they're all there to buy your stuff and that just shows how supportive they are. However, not all countries do have this culture of supporting each other, they're even jealous or not feeling they're required to support you.

A marketing strategy: A solid marketing strategy can help you attract customers and establish your brand. You should identify your target audience, research your competition, and choose the most effective marketing channels for your business.
It's where most budget is going but don't lessen the quality because that's gonna lose the brand if you settle mostly for marketing but not strengthening and increasing quality of products/services you offer.

A strong online presence: In today's digital age, having a strong online presence is critical. You should have a professional website, social media accounts, and other digital marketing strategies in place.
This is the result of marketing.

A team: You may need to hire employees, contractors, or consultants to help you run your business. Make sure you have a plan for finding and retaining the best talent.
Don't cut them on a budget or else, they'll won't give you the quality work so give them what they deserve even if you're on a budget.
1789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if they tried it on: April 10, 2023, 05:03:46 PM
If you're lowkey and someone who just pretends to know nothing about bitcoin and assets then they'll not be able to include you if that happens for real. But when you're into those services and asked for your KYC and you obliged, well, if the government requires them to send them all of the data that they have and if they're under the jurisdiction of any government that tries to seize all of crypto assets then you have no choice but you're also under their list and might just knock on your door. But realistically speaking, this is possible and there will be ways for the government to know and track if anyone owns it but isn't that government is like a communism, right?

1792  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Banned in Australia on: April 06, 2023, 10:07:31 PM
Reading the article from CNBC: Australian regulator cancels Binance’s license at exchange’s own request
It's not that they've been banned but it's their own request to cancel their derivatives license because of some of their customers. To those that don't want to read the entire details, there's a key points and summary made by CNBC's author about this news. I guess by having it, this makes easier to understand the whole thing.

  • Australia’s top financial regulator canceled Binance’s derivatives license at the exchange’s own request.
  • The crypto exchange had been under review by the Australian Securities & Investment Commission since February, after the exchange acknowledged a “small number” of customers were trading at a higher level than permitted.
  • The cancellation is the latest in a mounting series of regulatory probes around the world aimed at Binance.

1794  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to use google authenticator on bitcoin wallets on: April 05, 2023, 06:58:52 PM
Can Google Authentication be hacked?
There is the chance that it can be hacked but not the actual Google Authenticator app but the device where it is installed and the user who uses it. Remember that it uses email and it also has some backup codes where an infiltrator can target those. Every system can be done with a reverse engineering by these hackers and we can't be sure that you're all protected mostly if you do nasty things through your computer or smart phone devices. Another 2FA is through phone/SMS, there have been simcard/sim swap hijacking that has been done by hackers and that's why if it's possible there to get reversed and hackers get those 2FA codes then even with GA, they'll need to target the actual user and not the app itself. That's why with information that's being monitored in almost every place, please be sensitive on how you share it publicly and avoid unnecessary downloading of apps. If you find a sketchy one and you're itching to download it, think of it first for so many times.

1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to gamble on: April 04, 2023, 11:37:12 PM
In my opinion the best time is when we have spare time as well as spare money to spend at the same time no matter it is in the morning, afternoon or evening. I have no specific time or preferences time when to gamble, I will only gamble when I'm free of other things in real life. Not only free in terms of time but also free of other things especially related to money.
I have the same opinion. It's the best time when you've got the money ready and you afford that to lose and you're not cramming and have no other things to think of as you gamble. IMHO, that affects our way of gambling when the money we're about to gamble is allocated into something and the time that we're spending on it isn't solely for it. Mentally, it gives the hit and you'll need to rush your decisions to gamble mostly if you play luck based games. We want to prolong our stay regardless of how much we're about to gamble and that's just more than about winning but also enjoying. Anytime is the best time to gamble, as long as we're happy to do it, we're not running out of time and the money we're about to deposit is barely gonna hit our finances.
1797  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Clients getting turned down by United Kingdom Banks | PM on other quest on: April 04, 2023, 07:44:53 PM
IIRC, this was also the same and has happened in India wherein customers that have been involved and getting deposits from any potential profit in crypto, they're being strict on them. I don't understand why these people that are in power trying to "protect" their citizens as if they're making it so dangerous to invest and get involved in crypto. There's inequality by not allowing people that are in crypto to be declined by the UK banks and with this move, we might see that other countries could do the same and will be followed on what they did to their customers as a sign of warning that they shouldn't invest in any cryptocurrency.
1798  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Exchanges without KYC? on: April 04, 2023, 12:29:15 PM
Instant exchanges are great, but fees are a little bit high compared to a centralized exchange. I guess you get what you pay for (access to crypto without KYC).
That's actually the cons in an instant exchange but that's what convenience is, and that's what everyone will pay for it. They get a commission in return, you get to exchange without the need to comply to any KYC requirement.

I've used Sideshift.ai sometime ago, until they've started restricting access to US-based customers. I don't get why they're doing this when the exchange doesn't comply with KYC/AML laws. Using VPN would be a workaround, but not all people are tech-savvy you know.
I've also used them before but, why don't you just use a VPN and access them? But compared to the other instant exchanges, based on my experience the fees that they've got is higher than the others.

1799  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Exit scam - Betja went down without any explanation on: April 04, 2023, 08:39:47 AM
Yeah, the website is now unreachable and I guess they've planned it well and just waiting for someone to have that much money into their platform and will just leave it then and everything's gonna be abandoned afterwards. Their profile is no longer active and the last login date was last year of July and no signs of coming back. It's possible that there were other users that have funds stuck there and weren't able to withdraw it before they shut down. From the lesson here, the scammers might also run a campaign for them to gain trust from everyone and they're capable to pay any amount not just in the campaign but also in the withdrawals and deposits of their customers.
1800  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase planning to close accounts of certain users on 9th April? on: April 03, 2023, 11:30:41 PM
That standard practically saying that these users are no longer giving them money so you're all out. As they're a centralized service, they're giving the vibe of being a bank. A bank that usually requires some daily balance for you to retain your account there as well. And it seems that they've already divided their service so those users that just want to use them as a wallet, they're pushing people away from their exchange into their Coinbase wallet. That's a good riddance though, inactive users won't have funds remaining there if something blows off on them. It's like a funnel to make them users directed to their other products that need some boost.
