181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy going GOX on: November 23, 2015, 05:13:04 AM
Cryptsy have stated on their website upon login that the wallets are in maintennance as people, following a glitch, could withdraw more coin than they actually had.

Sounds sketchy. Honestly the delays I had on barely over 1 BTC kind of make me skeptical of an excuse like that.
182  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Coin Making Guide- an e/Book on making coins, bars and physical bitcoin wallets! on: November 22, 2015, 04:11:28 PM
I was recently accused of trust farming with my eBook. During reading through the accusations it cleared up some misconceptions I had with the trust system.

I will be removing positive trust for just copies of my eBook for some (not all) of the trades. As some purchases were people I would consider trustworthy or have had communications with.

So apologies in advance to any customers that will have the positive feedback neutralised. It just seems an abuse of the trust system to give positive feedback for a trade of BTC0.0301.

Also, anyone who agreed to write a review under the honour system and did not with the discount purchase will have the trust feedback removed entirely.
183  Other / Meta / Re: Wow, you can buy positive trust for 0.0301btc on: November 22, 2015, 03:54:39 PM
Here's my response as found in a separate thread I made: (tldr: OP has a good point but a crappy way of making it, thanks for making me aware)

See this threadhttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1249594.0 for details.

Response :
Thanks for unlocking the thread.

First off, it makes me kind of disappointed that people would abuse my ebook for trust- if that is the case. I put a lot of work into it and I think the price is very fair.

Second, the OP is probably right. The neutral feedback button would be more appropriate for newer users. I had not noticed the button until recently, so didn't really think where it's use would be appropriate.

As a result I will no longer be giving positive trust for purchases of my ebook. Any physical copies and coins that I sell will still rate positive.  I will have to think about altering some of the previous feedback (see more on this below) , I think it may be appropriate for the newer accounts, I will be messaging them regarding this thread. But I think it is enough for now to publicly state my operating guidelines going forward.

I will be honest and state that until now I did not know that I was on the DT list nor was I fully aware of how my trust rating carried so much weight. This will mean that I will almost certainly have to alter the ratings I have given in the past month for my ebook.

Lastly I don't think it's constructive to make threads on trusted users without at least letting them know. I was made aware by another member.

The thread has inadvertently promoted my ebook which is fine by me so thanks for the chance to write about it Smiley anyone who posted on the thread about it can get a 10% discount, but only neutral trust  now Wink

Seems I have been removed from the DT. Which sucks as I was given no chance to rectify my mistakes. But these things happen when are unaware or unable to respond to accusations.

Cheers.

its good that you are responding to issue but before writing any comment about me you should write that I was not online when you sent me message to unlock thread.today when I logged in, found messages from you & SubSarata.I have unlocked the thread because you have rights to respond to this issue and give clarification

btw I don't care about ratings left to my trust page so next time don't waste your time for writing on my trust page  Wink

see my trust page is full of red but still I am happy,I will keep monitoring the forum and report/mark everything that looks risky for normal users.

I assumed you were ignoring me, I'll respond on your thread.

Edit: I consider this resolved, I will be re-evaluating all trust given recently for the ebook and removing/neutralising the rating. I urge anyone to read the thread for clarifying the trust system and elements of it's functionality.

Not sure whats going on i deposited 13 different altcoins i had yesterday all deposited fine i sold to btc and withdrew it fine , so cant say im having problems there , i do have to say there withdrawl fees are a bit rude a fee + a % thats a little rich , as for the mining deposits it does say not t9 mine directly to the exchange wallet , maybe too many small deposits bloating there wallets which i can understand & all the wallets in maintenance maza for example i have a windows and linux wallet and there fine and cant understand if there is a major problem and the wallet is stuffed then give dev of coin notice.to supply working wallet or delist , simple  but things have been a little weird there for a bit

Yeah the withdrawal fee is ridiculous. I won't be doing business there any longer.

Hey Bitspender and bigtimespaghetti, do you guys hang out on precious metal forums or anything dealing with gold and silver? Ive heard a few groups are working with investors to back coins with gold and silver collectables like this and WBB.

Hey, just popping in the thread to confirm my involvements.

Do you have any links to these forums hempfarmer? Sounds interesting, I had no idea people were backing coins like these.

Is the in-house exchange still going? I have USD (paypal) and I'm looking to purchase a few UNO.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: HashEngineering - Android Wallet Creation Service on: November 11, 2015, 06:10:06 PM
I've had trouble using the UNO wallet- tried sending some small amount and had no luck :-/ No connections and none received it looks like.

I will look into this.  On my phone, however, I get four connections.  What versions are you using.

Hey sorry for the late reply. I'm using 0.21-beta. Maybe I should send you the wallet?

Try updating to 0.22-beta.  The first version, which you may have, has an old list of nodes to connect to.

https://github.com/HashEngineering/unobtanium-wallet/releases/tag/v0.22-beta

This version is also on google play.

Update worked like a charm- showed the received amount and sent extremely smoothly. Cheers!
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It's finally happened CRYPTSY is insolvent on: November 09, 2015, 08:46:24 PM
I'm no fan of cryptsy lately, but could it be that they are just understaffed and overwhelmed? Both on support and actual maintenance?

One can deal with the above account in its entirety with the way less effort than dribbling out small amounts of XBT and DASH.

True. Just playing devil's advocate. They gave me some BS about maintenance when I tried to withdraw mode than 1 btc. A week or two back. I hope that they get their act together.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone staking Sprouts? on: November 09, 2015, 08:29:09 PM
Think about how much you can afford or are willing to lose on the coins in advance always have a plan on what to do if the price goes up or down. That's advice I wish I had years ago!

People are talking about using Unobtanium to withdraw from Cryptsy, that could help reduce the mega-wallet a little. The problem is that market liquidity is too low to use UNO for that purpose without losing money unless you're willing to wait both to buy and sell.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3rvl2a/cryptsy_exchange_warning_unable_to_withdrawal/cwrsfwr

Is anyone else having trouble withdrawing from Cryptsy, or just this guy, and just DASH?

I withdrew a fair chunk of UNO last week and it was an almost instant transaction, for btc as well (less than 0.7BTC).
195  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Unobtanium Silver Wallet Plated physical wallets on: November 07, 2015, 11:53:16 AM
Im so damn butthurt i didnt got the pure silver one, been wishing for it for so long. The plated doesnt motivate me enough but its a great piece. Congrats for such wallets.

Hi andulolika, I've had a few enquiries about the pure silver wallets. I will make requests available next time I strike a new coin. Of course I won't be exceeding the mintage limits, but there is still some numbers left to strike.
196  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: November 06, 2015, 06:05:47 AM

Armstrong also notes that "negative interest rates would wipe out the elderly."  NIRP may not wipe them out, but with NO INCOME (or even negative income for cash in the bank), it would hurt a lot.

Like MA says, it will cause the next pension crisis. Will be interesting to see from a personal perspective how it affects the Netherlands system, which is one of the wealthiest pension systems on earth.

198  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Totalitarianism on: November 05, 2015, 06:33:55 AM
I concur that you predicted $315 in May and that you believed there was the possibility of it going to $440.

...

(currently $495)

This $380 - 440 was a near-term technical projection (target to be reached before roughly Oct 1 afair if it did, otherwise new technical projections would be required) on a chart and has nothing to do with Armstrong's model for a low in gold this coming Spring 2016. Also that technical projection may have increased by now (Nov. 5).

The price is going crazy volatile now if it was up to $495 while I was sleeping and then below $400 when I woke up.

Coinbase announced they are supporting the BitcoinXT block size increase in December. Rumors China will make Bitcoin legal. And the CHKLOCKVERIFY opcode to enable Lightning Networks has been moved into the Bitcoin code and to be a reality no later than early 2016.

Bitcoin could be diverging from gold. It is possible especially considering it is an orthogonal global speculation vehicle. Armstrong has documented yesterday that some stock markets appeared to have bottomed on his Oct 1 (2015.75) turn date.

The theory that Bitcoin would mimick Armstrong's gold bottom timing was my guess, not Armstrong's.

However, the liquidity contagion has not yet hit the sovereign debt crisis. Thus speculation is renewed. Let's see what happens to liquid assets such as gold and cash (Bitcoin) once there is a liquidity crisis. Also this pump would be a great manipulation for those who did it so they could borrow BTC to go short.

This nosebleed rise has all the markers of a pump and dump job.

If I had enough $ to speculate with, I would go leveraged short at $500. Alas, I am just converting BTC to USD so I can be sure I have the cash to pay my bills so I can code an altcoin.

TPTB

Always nice to see your thoughts.  You come on back from time-to-time now, ya hear?

The BTC price run-up indeed has been completely orthogonal to gold.  I mentioned that I took advantage of the run-up to buy some gold with some of my BTC.  I sold at $410/BTC for the Au.  Next day it was at $490 (highest price that I personally saw).  I thought:

"Damn, I should have waited a day to buy [gold] !!!"

Then the price comes down today to $395 at one point, so I forgave myself (it's gotten easier to do that, having stopped drinking  Smiley ).

At this point, having "proved my point" (selling into a possibly bogus rally), I will now just sit this out and HODL the rest of my BTC.

Probably should have got some AG/AU myself. Was easier to just trade the parabola. Funny you should mention buying metals, a friend of mine did exactly the same thing! With btc that is.
199  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: November 04, 2015, 11:53:07 AM
Regardless of your views of TPTB's predictions, parabolic curves are to be sold into. It's hard to do, but time to reign in our emotions guys and make the right decisions.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: November 04, 2015, 06:44:15 AM
So I take back what I said about not seeing 0.003's. Maybe we will, maybe we won't, but bitcoin is just going nuts, $430?!?! I'm actually surprised there isn't more selling of UNO, I guess we're more tied to a satoshi valuation than USD? Or maybe that's a pointless way to look at it and our small market just drifts on the short-term whims of a few dozen traders.

Thankfully I exited my bitcoin short from $331 at $319.

Happy trading  Kiss

Yeah the market has been whacky as hell. Glad to hear you exited that short!
