Spurs don't get a game at all next week, didn't see that coming, so I'm pretty ok to have the one guy sit on the bench. Might even transfer him out for a DGW guy.

Chelsea or Arsenal? I'm comfortable with Raya, just not sure Palmer and Saka in my team are wise, but if they both end up contributing to a high-scoring game, I'll be licking my chops.

But another option caught my attention: the odds of City finishing in the top 2 are quoted as 1.13. It looks so generous that I don’t even know how to explain it.

I saw it at 1.15 too, and was very tempted. The only problem is, they can draw one game, while Arsenal and Liverpool win the rest, and end up third. Feels unlikely, but if you think about it, it's 1.15 for them to not drop points at all. Might as well save that money and just bet on them winning every game, putting it all in on the next.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: April 15, 2024, 03:05:53 PM
Saw that the Roma game was interrupted due to a player collapsing -- seems all right and hope he is, but this sums up my Sunday across all pools. Draws kill me...

Indeed, my only points are from Sevilla, who were the slight underdogs according to bookies!

re casperBGD, after some years on forum, I know quite a number of users who've left already, at least, counting those I have interacted with. Some quite sudden like tomahawk9 who just dropped off the face of everything with no indication whatsoever, others, have taken what I'd call sabbaticals, usually for health reasons -- but they nevertheless still drop in to say hello or keep some forum work.

leea is one from BSFL/pool who had to step back from forum "duties", but he doesn't miss any of the regular pools (understandably, these are quite easy to enter picks for). Even a couple I know from German threads and Bundesliga are officially inactive but they also keep their picks alive in pools. I'm happy they manage to find a way like this, I often think about when I can "retire" and imagine I'd still play in these kinds of pools. They're not demanding, and still somehow keep us connected.

Only scenario I leave completely is if I win a huge lottery. But I'd still probably say goodbye and sponsor some pools without participating Wink I hope that's what happened to casperBGD Wink

cygan, the table hurts me. Please, enough, haha but well done -Lemming-!

Little Mouse, the real Xavi, eh? I find it very hard to disagree! I almost want them to go on and win their treble, if it means Liverpool fail to win at Atalanta by 3+ goals. Almost...

Bayern has won against relegation candidate FC Köln yesterday but maybe we can already congratulate Leverkusen today to take the title.
It's really strange but in a positive way, to see a different team as Bayern Munich to win Bundesliga.

And especially for Leverkusen, it's a big moment after getting called "Vizekusen (Vicekusen)" repeatedly in the past (because Leverkusen came second several times in the past).

And it's done. In style too. No more Vicekusen (I never heard this just Neverkusen, thanks for new knowledge haha). And they still get to keep Alonso for at least one more season.

Sure about Kaiserslautern? They're probably relegating but are saving their best for Pokal! Giant slayers, but Alonso's men will be too much eh?

~ what else could have been required of them to go down in the history of books of the Bundesliga ? There's nothing else I can possibly think of.

Already have the longest unbeaten run. I hope they go unbeaten in all competitions this season if Liverpool fail to overcome the deficit in Italy. That would be unprecedented, and the hardest record to set. But only 10 more games to go!

They can also try and get more than 91 points to break another Bayern record as 1miau already said.

And they can end the season with no sending offs (they only had one season before that with no red cards, and had 6 last season). I actually feel people talk too little about discipline and how it affects some teams. When Arsenal fixed theirs under Arteta, they also became more stable. Barca with Xavi. I think managers/coaches do a lot in this area.

Celebrating my 10th place like it's the title, I need to whip my squad into shape, we can't just get past the season beating the leaders, we have to do it every time, against every team.

Ready for me, mitchr4?

Add to that the fact that I have most correct answers in the whole div 1 I feel hard done with just 5th place.

This round I get free bet and I still can't get full 3 points.

You must want to know how it feels like being Cole Palmer MVP and sitting outside Champs League spaces.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 14, 2024, 03:44:59 PM
I agree it was not their day today, but they have been showing more chinks in their armor than any of the other title contenders since the start of this year. It was always looking to me like it was just a matter of time before they dropped points. With a run of 4 away fixtures ahead, including a clash that potentially will put them out of the Europa league (and that is not good for morale) and a visit to their next door neighbors, they will need to find their feet and fast.

They should bounce back with an easy win against Fulham  Wink

- Jay -

Armour, what armour? It was the chinks in their turrets that were the problem haha. Needing last-minute winners (more this season than ever before), needing goals from outside the box (more this season since Steven Gerrard era), needing comebacks (more this season than ever before).

I know I'm only feeling it because it hurts, but this was really like that 2013 season we broke 100 goals. We kept letting in goals, but we kept shooting in more, and it came from all over the pitch. We had a stellar top half (Suarez, Coutinho, Gerrard, Sterling, Sturridge) but with a bottom half of er... what was it, Mignolet and Skrtel and Sakho and Johnson it couldn't last, unsustainable, and it eventually showed.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +97043 units on: April 14, 2024, 01:23:43 PM
Simple "Hope Arsenal lose" bet today, and Villa are once more the recipients. Liverpool are currently down (surprise, surprise) though so Gunners might even be a tad complacent if we end up not winning?

100 units at Sportsbet on Villa to WIN vs Arsenal @10.63. Other odds: 10.10
Units advantage: 53
Bet ID: 661bae31fa917e00013a1fab

Running advantage after 79 bets: +7973 (+53)
All-time cumulative: +97,743
Running units after 78 bets (5W|73L): -4392 (-100)

A nice thread and I have been wondering about this, too. For a long time I thought that Cloudbet seems to have the best odds in the market, but it did change a little bit recently. I have been asking myself whether most of the bookies pull the same data or suggested odds from somewhere or whether they all have their own algorithms and individual adjustments? Since there are obvious differences, there seems to be a good amount of individual input and assessment on behalf of the bookies. But I thought they might all be connected to some basic data feed.

"Running units after 77 bets (5W|72L): -4292 (-100)"

Does that mean you placed 77 bets and lost 72? I am not going through all of them, but I assume you are going for a lot of combos?

Yes, that's correct. You've also caught me at my worst and most inactive season... but in any case, I have a very high rate of loss, or low win percentage, but it's because I chase high odds. Generally heavy ML bets on the underdog like today's one but yes, rare accas too.

And odds are usually from data analytical. Companies like Pinnacle are called odds providers. They simply analyse data and provide odds that many bookies just take and adjust. But there are also risk management software books use, calculating liabilities (as people place bets) and adjusting odds and limits on that.

Thanks for visiting!

Great stuff, just found out about the new ambassadors (tough to beat King Kanu, that guy's pretty damned funny) thanks for the post jeremypwr!

This particular guy got my attention. Is he the Igebotz we all deserve? (Sorry padi)

The trio is completed by Edikan Udoisang, better known as Honourable Odds. He’s a sports betting influencer who loves to predict games in his spare time – particularly those involving his beloved Chelsea.

Saints, Toons, make great progress for promotion and European football but in other news, Wrexham just won promotion to League One... perhaps in 2025 we'll start discussing them in EFL notblox1?
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2023/2024 on: April 13, 2024, 11:47:47 PM
Oh man, swogerino, stop wasting money on "easy" Championship bets haha. I don't want to say it, but was right about Ipswich and Leeds not being able to take advantage of Leicester's double slip ups. Ipswich is sitting pretty on top, yes, but they'll be asking themselves how they only took 2 points in this melee. It's as if everyone's suddenly shy about reaching 100 points. As it stands, just the Foxes have a chance to get 100 -- and just 2 games ago, three teams had a chance.

Biggest winner Saints? From insurmountable gap and now a real chance for top 2!

Championship, huh. Does make a nice bunch at the summit, though.

Binance and other exchanges also have P2P marketplaces -- I believe you don't need KYC to view these. Many leave their contact details, least last I checked.
But if you read his statement carefully you will  see that the OP wants a non custodial wallet that doesn't require him to be Kyced or uploaded any of his identity or any other details.

If you read my response carefully, you'll see I'm telling him how to avoid using any wallet other than his own, and the P2P trader he's buying from. Not telling him to use the exchange, but to obtain direct contact with traders. That's how I got mine, the same guys I sell to from years ago. It's got its own risk, sure, but we all operate risking our reputations -- that's in some way a lot more secure than escrow.

Trofo if he really has Spurs assets, feel sorry for him. I'd usually have my squad packed too with Spurs if not for me trying to be smart every time with my picks.

Want to feel good guys? For some reason, my captain is Foden... I swear I've been captaining Darwin for weeks and just checking now, it's on Foden, who, even if he comes on, won't play 60 minutes.

I'm writing an e-book you should all buy from me for 1 mbtc to support my failing career in fantasy PL. "How to not lose FPL on purpose"

32 yrs old Van Djke and 39 yrs old Silva being the best defenders in the league is still something to think about but not on this topic.
Maybe I have not seen enough Liverpool games this season, but to me the best defender is Saliba and Gabriel. I checked to see the statistics online, Virgil van Dijk is on the top ranking this season, Saliba is in the ranking, Gabriel is in the ranking but 39yrs old Silva is not in the ranking.

Call me antiFPL but I don't always believe that the best point earners are the best players -- Haaland's the best finisher in the world on stats, but I would never have him on my team (if I count cost, and sustainability, he is a player you need to prop up with a team, rather than a piece of a puzzle).

VVD isn't going to be on a FPL dream team either, Liverpool concedes FIRST in over 50% of their games. But just the way he brings confidence to the squad at the back (when he's not having an off day) makes him my first choice, over and over, and not because he's a Red.

There goes my hope for Spurs to put themselves in a better position. Thought if they had at least some pointa leading up to game vs Gunners they might be more motivated.

Maybe it really is time to view Newcastle back in brighter lights. Or is this a blip of tricks Igebotz?

Also wish I paid more attention to Isak. Sort of looked away once Wilson left my team.

Man, just as you thought things were stabilising to the season tail end, you get back to back losses for the leader. Then again, neither pretender really took advantage last week so they are now under pressure to win. Not a given, as you point out notblox1, tough opponents.

Anyone consider late surprise for 6th? Coventry, Boro, PNE, Hull... all with a shout.

Hello OP! I wish I spent more time in here!

Looks like I might have a bit of silly fun with these. I run through cheap decks a lot (rough play) but not sure I've ever bought a collectible deck, and I'll ignore that they shouldn't be played with to maintain condition eh? Consider naming the decks you've come up with today, might be easier to order?

For now I'll take:
1x Standard, custom box
1x Gilt, custom box

I'll send a custom list by your deadline. PM you with payment qs =)
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Excessive Bitcoin fees on: April 12, 2024, 05:02:48 PM
I thought it's typo because few days ago I check the fees was less than 10 sat/vbyte, now it's surge by thirteen.

The crackdown by Binance to stop accepting ordinals and runes seems not really affect the market, it seems can't be stopped because their community don't mind to trade using swaps.

Doesn't even make sense for me to check these days. I'm just swallowing it when it's above 100 sats/byte, my txs are pretty lean anyway so I don't feel the pain. Can definitely understand what it means for most people with no control or even no fee control. Though you'd have thought by now they'd have taken the effort to understand after a year of ordinals.

A year! Can't believe it's been that long. Buoyed by ATH of course.

Kane is doomed  Grin But being an eternal Tottenham player, it seems to me that he has an iron psyche and a habit of ignoring attacks against him, so most likely this will not affect him.

Poor guy, seriously. At least (to my knowledge) he has never whined about it, but he's human, he's feeling all of it, just not letting it affect his game -- though I do recall the season before he left that lost look in his eyes, you know, the one you see in Rashford's eye now.

When he retires he'll write a book about it. Rooney opened up about his alcoholism, recently Danny Murphy spoke about cocaine addiction :p

I wonder in Germany, do players also "open up" or is that just an English phenom?

Eh Slissy, I thought to celebrate already but scanning our answers tells me and looks like we both missed the fact that we have one more different answer -- Spurs v Newcastle BTTS yes or no.

Thankfully, Villa and Benfica saved my ass already so we draw on the Europa/Conference league goal race. So I am still at worst, walking away with a draw.

Desperation for Liverpool, Atalanta our Achilles heel seriously.

Edit: I spoke too soon. Leverkusen scored their 2nd in 91st minute, turning our draw into a point for me, and a win for this round. Sorry I'm rubbing it in Slissy... Liverpool just got smacked badly, so I need some good news.

Hope all good KTChampions. Real life is full of things.

For Pot B, if anyone ever needs it, just PM me manual selections happy to enter for you, this goes for everyone, I don't mind helping out in emergencies, obviously don't PM me because you're lazy Wink

I'm glad that I haven't ended with null points in this round, it was really a tough one. I got only 5.4 points though. Still, it is better than nothing.

@buwaytress, it appears that jeremypwr has made a mistake or misunderstood the system and staked 10 points on PSG to win and 10 points on 'Lewandowski 2+ goals/assists'. How his submission will be considered if Lewandowski goals/assists become 2+ in the return match? In case of misunderstanding, maybe he would have split the 10 points (5 points on each) on those two selections if he got the rules correctly.

Yeah I got a few points too, but nowhere near enough to catch top 10 unfortunately. Wasted on BVB and Bayern, now I need Simeone to get himself carded in the return leg to get a bit more. More hopeful than anything, I'm down and out in both Pots.

Regarding jeremypwr's submission, yeah he noted his mistake and already messaged me earlier to adjust to 5 points each. I just hadn't got round to adjusting the result sheet, it's now correct. This round actually has the fewest adjustments requested -- which either means people are really familiar with the format now, or more people are staking everything on one outcome haha.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | QFs on: April 11, 2024, 12:13:18 PM
I'm rooting for Fenerbahce and Fiorentina because Fenerbahce is too superior in their domestic league, while Fiorentina, even they're awful, but the league they played is very competitive to Czech First League.

Fenerbahçe have a really tough work to do tomorrow evening. Olympiacos are really one of tough teams to beat away.  Sad  I'm still favouring Fenerbahçe though. Especially if we see them play like the way they did against Union Saint-Gilloise they can really win. Even a draw would do a good job to finish the work home.  Smiley

Fiorentina have a comfortable work to do on paper. In addition to these matches there are Aston Villa - Lille and Club Brugge - PAOK too, what do you think on them?  Huh  My favourites are the home sides for those ones. Aston Villa are even the highest favoured team to become the champions.

Too lazy to read so I might be mistaken but Fenerbahce's threats to withdraw from the Turkish League means they won't be a member of the FA anymore. Doubt they'll do it, at least not until the season ends, as they'll want to be in this UEFA competition (and I'm certain cannot compete if not member of Turkish FA).

Don't know how this all affects the players on field but usually a team with external issues can't focus on the pitch -- so I'm staying off them for bets.

Villa my pick too, and that's maybe the laziest assessment but they're the only team I've seen play and they're pretty special plus got a coach who knows the map of UEFA KO tournaments Wink Lille's not exactly a shit team though.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | QFs on: April 11, 2024, 08:26:10 AM
you basically want to take Europa league trophy and the coach from Leverkusen, haha

kidding aside, that would be a hell of a game
Liverpool is still favorite in that one, but on one match, and Leverkusen in a season without lose, anything can happen

Kills me to be replying to a user who's left the forum, but to respond anyway, yes, I want Reds to win Europa (of course), but we already know we can't have Alonso as he's sticking with Leverkusen. Good for him, but it puts us in an awkward position of hiring possibly second-best, and long enough that even if Alonso is free, we won't have the vacancy.

Faith in Edwards and his data madness, I suppose!

Binance and other exchanges also have P2P marketplaces -- I believe you don't need KYC to view these. Many leave their contact details, least last I checked.
They have limitations on how much you can trade without the need of KYC. If the Op only wants to trade a few dollars worth of bitcoin this will suffice for what he is looking for, but starting on a privacy note with a decentralized exchange maybe the best option.
- Jay -
I also don't think you can make use of P2P without passing the KYC. The only thing you can do without the need for KYC is that you can send a few dollars into the exchange and trade a few coins on the spot market, but once it comes to withdrawal, I don't think you can withdraw without KYC, and even if you can, just like you said, it can't be more than a few dollars.

What I said was you can view these traders without trading on the platform -- some leave contact details (phone, email, even site or TG) and you can usually enquire outside. That's how I found my current main p2p traders. Not sure if those platforms still allow you to leave your contact details though. Usually it's surreptitiously written as a "send me a msg when you trade so I can respond immediately".

It's just one way to find traders. I'd stick to a reputable one from this forum to start.
