Will Darwin ever stop spamming shot straight to the GK? If he works on his shooting abilities he would be one of the best striker of this generation.

To be honest, Darwin was an ice-cold finisher in his Benfica days. I'm not sure why he keeps getting offsite and hitting the post so often now.

Would be a great idea to bench him next GW though (unless your username happens to be "buwaytress").

He's now playing in a more competitive league, against actual defenders and not random part-time farmers from the Portuguese league. He'll do well; he's only 24 and has only one weakness (shooting). He has the most shots on goal this season (95), but only converts 11. The next Liverpool manager might be the spark for his breakthrough.

Too many captain options to choose from this week. Halaand is not going to get more than 60mins, he's one of my problem now.

I bet the Portugese League does prioritize defense over attack than the EPL does, so I really don't English team's defense are any much better than what we've got in the Portugal, so the defense in Portugal being deemed as farmers league is completely wrong, take a look at the leagues goals conceded average to goals score, and compare into to what we've got in the EPL, you'll see the difference, and it doesn't even look close.

In premier league only 3 teams have conceded less than 30 goals this season namely Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal. from Aston Villa in 4th position have all conceded no less than 42 goals, please tell me more about defense, while about 11 teams have conceded at least 50 goals. Premier league is an highly competitive league, Of course! But it is completely naive and ignorant to consider PL as the league with the best defense averagely, and that's in no way related to one player missing chances, is it ?


If you've by any means paid attention to these league, you'll get a glimpse of my perspective, why did you consider Serie A a good defensively oriented league, is it also because every striker there are all firing blank or they kids too ? It is an obvious fact and it's being the case for long time, Premier League is not a defensively oriented league and the fact that they have Thiago Silva and Van Dijk doesn't change the average defensive philosophy of the league entirely.

Congratulations to Spack17 he won it with monster 87 points. Without looking I knew he must have had Foden, Palmer & Garnacho in his team and I was correct To make it even better he is probably the only person in the pool that got a return from captain (Darwin). Did not actually checked it but all major picks flopped.

So... I forgot all about switching players in, only had two forwards because of last Watkin-less game vs City, and then of course, he's now sitting on my bench and getting all those beautiful points. I swear, I love giving money away.

Maybe I have not seen enough Liverpool games this season, but to me the best defender is Saliba and Gabriel. I checked to see the statistics online, Virgil van Dijk is on the top ranking this season, Saliba is in the ranking, Gabriel is in the ranking but 39yrs old Silva is not in the ranking.

Fantastic time to bring Gvardiol into the team.

He has really improved, he completely shadowed Saka in our game, and he would not have been subbed out in the second half against Palace if not that he picked up a yellow and Pep did not want to gamble.

Tomorrow's the day for Salah and Nunez, I can smell it this time. We'll walk over this United team.

I hope United do the Lord's work and stop this Liverpool team that wants to steal Arsenal chances this season.

If anything, I'm glad that Foden didn't play because after that hattrick vs Villa, I'm sure that even if he played, he might not have gotten goals — maybe just one goal because he is foden and can score often but I doubt he'd come close to the returns that Watkins will deliver this weekend.

Watkins is on my bench and when he gets subbed in via automatic sub, that's a big W for me especially a week like this that I got one of the lowest scores across the board.

I'm glad you use the word "Produced", It means we're not both on the same page, you're speaking of the past, I'm speaking of the present, and the fact is out there for any that sought it, the bone of contention wasn't about Serie A being a defensive oriented league, but it is that "Portuguese league isn't what should be considered a farmers league by any means" and why do you think it is almost twice as easier to go for BTTS in Serie A or Premier League than you'll ever consider to in the Portuguese league ?

And speaking of individual defenders or single team defense doesn't speak for the entire league's style of play, facts or statistics.. Only 3 teams have surpassed an average of 2+ goals per game in Portugal Liga, while there are twice as much of those numbers in premier league. You can check "FotMob" for better analytical stats.

I dunno man, I was in total disbelief when I watched that moment. The shot from Nunez noton target make it look really bad. I mean, if you know you're not in a position while not do a quick pass to Szoboszlai for an easy tap in. Nunez part pf the reason why Liverpool lost their lead. 5 shots and none being on target is awful for a player of his caliber.

After today's game, I  admit that @NotATether was right about Nunez not being an ideal forward in anybody's team. A pain to watch most times.

Cryptofrka was so positive and had so much faith in Nunez. Liverpool supporters must really miss Jota.

I also think that Liverpool were lucky as well to have gotten that penalty kick that took the game to 2-2 because in my opinion, Wan Bissaka did not touch Harvey Elliot, he simulated his fall. Why did the VAR officials not recheck to verify such an important decision? Liverpool got away with that.

My whole problem started with Foden and then Gusto disappearing from lineups unexpectedly. Wasn't a good week but I will only let you stay up till weekend.

It isn't faith, it's sheer volume. In this Liverpool team the striker will have plenty of chances and Nunez did raise his form a bit in recent months.
He isn't a player I prefer, but I still expect him to contribute and to score in clear chances.

I do hope Jota returns soon, he's the only offensive player in LFC that actually uses his head while playing and thinks a bit before passing/shooting.
