181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Football club Juventus adopt crypto for players payment on: March 25, 2021, 07:56:51 PM
This is not only good for Juventus FC but good news for crypto, and using Cristiano to be the brand ambassador will surely get them some serious exposure and marketing based on how much of an influencer CR7 is, though i wonder what this coin can do and how much value this Juv coin will fetch?

Is this coin exclusive to Juventus or we can get it from an exchange...
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 25, 2021, 01:49:53 PM
Just imagine that Bruno had teammates which not miss 90% of the goal chance where he assisted? Rashford, Martial, Greenwood... that they were a little more skilful at the key moments, Bruno will be for sure MVP of the championship.
Such players do not exist and Bruno can not win MVP when 90% of his goals are from the spot-kick and disappearing against big teams. The real MVP singlehandedly carry their club to glory week in and week out, contributing to at least 80%. Jack Grealish in an average team is hitting 9-10 rating week in and week out.
Grealish aka Mr Aston Villa, this lad puts in a lot of work for the team we can't take that away and if you had more players like him for his team I don't think he would get those ratings you point out because there will be other options other than him.
So the perfect blend for a team is everyone having a weakness that will be supported by another team players strength to yield better results for the team, so let's just say it's not about solo brilliance but team work.

It was a really bad decision to sell Eriksen I think. Maybe his performance in the last season was not good but the older statistics of him was quite good. He was really helpful for the team. Now he is at Inter but he hasn't even scored a goal or made an assist in the Serie A so far in this season.
Eriksen has always been a good player, I bet him moving to inter wasn't at his own free will, probably an escape route away from Jose. We all know with Jose calling the shots expect one or two players to leave because he always wants those players under him to know who is boss which undermines some players as they are not appreciated for their work.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 23, 2021, 07:33:23 PM
EPL Goalscorer chart.

Who would have guessed that despite their teams(Spurs and the Reds) still struggling to find their feet that they would have players topping the charts for top goalscorer and contesting for the golden boot...honestly football is unfair sometimes!

Quote
Who do you think will emerge as the winner of the Golden boots???.

Salah for me.
The log shows a closely contested race which could see 2 or 3 players sharing the golden boot and these would be kane,Salah and Bruno
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How you can determine the expected price for a new altcoin? on: March 22, 2021, 01:13:02 PM
Based on experiences, The way i determine the expected price for a new altcoins are :

1. Read the whitepaper of the Coin
2. Check on the coin's team and developer
3. Make sure to check when will the coin will be release and in what exchange
4. Read the goals of the coin's project and who they will be cooperate with
5. If they have a solid team and goals, then that new coin will be huge in the future.

Except, if you look at most of the new coins right now being listed, especially on Defi (just go and use sushiswap for example and see yourself).

1. No whitepaper.
2. no team and dev or maybe anon.
3. IDOs no exchange listing.
4. No info
5. No info.

Yet people still pour money and farm them all. And they go up and up in price for no apparent reason other than to gain more sushi and more cake or whatever.
IMO, Defi is toxic to the crypto ecosystem!!! Just looking at all the points raised this is a red flag when trying to invest in a crypto without them!
But AFAIK currently we kind of excited with bitcoin and all other alts smashing new all time highs and all, we too busy to check for all these basic characteristics of a good coin which is why I can never invest in a project without some of these characteristics because if I  were to put it in simple terms such projects are just after our money with no real problems to solve...just my 2cents.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't Bitcoin Stop Mining and Shorten Block times? on: March 21, 2021, 11:25:48 PM
I would like to think mining is pretty much at the core of how bitcoin works, when we sending our btc those coins have to be mined and verified to be authentic so if this process of mining is to be stopped, it's as good as hitting the off switch of btc !

Currently, BTC is adding ~328,500 new coins a year
This is not a fixed figure by the way, we have the halving

spending tremendous amounts of energy to do so
One of the qualities of money is scarcity and bitcoin being a form of money has to be difficult to find/mine and this difficulty can be seen by the energy consumption.

If you cut new supply, wouldn't the price go up faster?
Technically it would but miners wouldn't be motivated to run their rigs without the  reward that comes from treasure hunting of new btc coins.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: March 21, 2021, 10:28:18 PM
Hi Guys!

I bought ripple at $2.50 and i am at very high losses. I wanted to know if and when it will reach $3, $4 and if my stars shine $5 ?  Please help. I am being as much patient i can but i am honestly dying from the inside looking at the prices.
FYI crypto investments can be high risk and take time to mature but If you have time to look at some charts and analyze them, You could sell and buy from time to time to make some money from the daily price movements and before you know it you could have recovered the money you initially invested!
It's possible based off the burn rate of the coins. The larger the adoption for xrp for cross border transactions the higher the burn rate.
The outstanding supply for XRP is not 100b its already slowly declining now its like 99.1b if I'm not wrong.
Wasn't aware xrp had token burns but if this is it then Once supply of the coin is reduced, demand goes up and price naturally soars too...keep holding.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The higher BTC goes, the bigger the risk/reward ratio and the less buyers enter on: March 21, 2021, 04:10:44 PM
I agree with what you said, but for now there are still many chances of the price being able to do 2X or 6X because there are still not many super rich people buying bitcoin and advertising
Some rich people have jumped on this new found digital gold and others like Mr Bill Gates have clearly shown no interest in it, despite knowing about the digital currency...its all up to them , maybe they don't understand crypto but with time as more institutions endorse crypto I think this is when new money will be pumped in from individuals and institutional money to push price up.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 21, 2021, 03:48:29 PM
ARSE💩nal truly are a joke, huh? are we suppose to believe they're still a top club?? 3 goals down against the biggest fluke in europe this season...new low for the gunners
Lol arsenal is done and TBH I didn't expect such a score line but this is how wanting to play champions league football looks like, Go westham !!

Update half time: Westham 3-1 Arsenal
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 21, 2021, 12:15:44 PM
West Ham - Arsenal is tricky. I still have not decided to take a side for any team yet.
Very tricky indeed!
Just looked at current EPL standings and seeing Westham sitting a few points away from being in the top four which is also a champions league golden ticket, I don't see how this will be any easy for the two. And not to be blinded by the fact the Arsenal has been a top four contender for very long time, this season is full of surprises and the Gunners haven't been at their best, I fancy westham picking a point here because they have everything to play for and simply have better form, my prediction here is a goalless draw or 1-0 win in favor of the hammers.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we know if a Altcoin has been Pre-Mined? on: March 21, 2021, 06:51:02 AM
On CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko how do we know when looking at a coin that it has been pre-mined?
From there you can't tell, you will need a block explorer then look at the Genesis blocks and quantity of coins should tell the story, and easy way of knowing for newer projects is through the whitepaper which indicates how much coins have been premined.

Is there any legal legitimate reasons for pre-mining or it is a scam?
If too many coins have been mined relative to the total supply, certainly a scam but if all is done in good will think of this has an incentive(payment) for work put in to bring project to where it is....

Has bitcoin been pre-mined by Satoshi himself?
I believe so but some of his premined coins haven't been touched and satoshi being absent dev we can't know because his the best to give some of these answers.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does BITCOIN make a person's life better !? on: March 20, 2021, 01:51:10 PM
Bitcoin can be very unpredictable sometimes, if someone invests at its all time high and price goes down you could be depressed if you don't understand the price movements of crypto which wouldn't be a happy moment but if you invested big while it was at its lowest and you forgot about the crypto bag you would be a very happy person by now if you cashed out some of your investment. Just as the saying money makes the world go round which is very true!
192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 19, 2021, 07:38:50 PM
Some used to pacify themselves with the term it is their fate to loss in gambling. Some say it is the lack of control that makes them loss big. Here I'm taking this into discussion relative to the game - Dice.
If you choose to gamble for the first time and lose, honestly this could be fate....but if you are not new to the world of gambling and you are on a losing roll and don't stop thats lack of control!

Same as this some used to mention winning as fate and some term the same as luck. I believe win out of dice is trick, and right exit strategy.
With a touch of mathematics here and there and you win a couple of games that's writing your own fate and has nothing to do with luck!

But if you gamble without any of these and win then it has everything to do with luck!

What is the truth in this regard, because users like me are always go lack of control even when luck is on our side. End of the day used to pacify thyself terming it as our fate and move on. Hope you guys don't do this mistake. Cry Cry
Honestly between lack of control and luck there is greed sitting  somewhere there which almost every gambler has experienced but with time you learn to know when you have had enough, win or lose you walk away and play another day
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Regulating Decentralized Exchanges: Is it possible? on: March 19, 2021, 06:34:43 PM
Help me understand this, In all this if the government got to the creator does this mean he or she has the kill switch to put the decentralized exchange offline, and who knows what...users could lose millions of dollars worth of crypto locked on the exchange?? If this turns out to be true then the belief of a DEX being out of the reach of one entity would be the biggest joke !!! But seeing etherdelta technically still online...now forkdelta then no one person can have full control of a DEX...

195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 19, 2021, 02:02:35 PM
This is what people see: Real Madrid vs Liverpool

But this is what football fans sees Grin

Version 2.0; we are going to see a very intense game here, this would be a perfect time to avenge Salah broken arms the last time they met in the final. With the current Liverpool form the chances of them surviving Real Madrid is low.
If this happens this will put too much pressure on Salah and the thing about pressure is you will either use that to perform good or it will cripple you and currently team Liverpool isn't ready tbh Tongue
But the good part is football isn't about a war of world's but playing it on the pitch.

As a Chelsea fan I would love to play Real Madrid in the next round anyways.
Of late Chelsea has improved in terms of it's form, and after seeing off atletico in both games coming out with a clean sheet...I see where the confidence is coming from, but be warned Real Madrid is on another leve when it comes to champions league football but you know what good luck team Chelsea, hope this match happens Smiley
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Longtime bitcoin holder starting to question the future on: March 19, 2021, 09:21:59 AM
Do not ask yourself such questions. Of course, everything will end sometime. But crypto is only at the beginning of its journey.
"Everything will end" is this saying the days of crypto are numbered?
I honestly don't think so, crypto is the new generational money and if something is to end it will be fiat not crypto. And with the heavy reliance of digital mediums today it makes it easy for crypto to thrive only problem is non availability of reversing transactions, but there is still hope for it to displace fiat or rather coexist till people understand how crypto works.

197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or Bitcoin which is best. on: March 19, 2021, 09:04:01 AM
From a traders point of view and with the little trading experience I have, I have found bitcoin to be more volatile and profitable than ethereum which makes it a good investment as it allows you to buy and sell it when ever price either goes up or down...ethereum not a good investment because it hadly makes any big moves!

Just remember to apply the buy low and sell high strategy and vice versa.
For on this time Eth is best for my choice. BTC now high price. any time can drop. But Now Eth can go to 3500+. but this is now 1700+. Hope btc cannot down hard. And Alt are going too moon.
I guess this is from a hodlers point of view, but from what people have been talking about and seeing big companies joining the crypto industry bitcoin is slated to hit $100k or more and AFAIK in crypto people have always said there is no wrong or right time to buy crypto...and I have found this to be true so I trust and believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ETH overpriced? on: March 18, 2021, 06:41:31 PM
Overpriced I do not think so!
With hundreds of coins being housed on the ethereum blockchain it's expected that these will give ethereum the demand of the coin and result in an increase of its price.
So AFAIK the current prices are a reflection of how much we are willing to spend.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 17, 2021, 08:57:16 PM

Bayern vs Lazio is pretty much done. Maybe lazio can win this game today but i highly doubt it because is again in good shape in the last weeks. Nübel is playing today instead of Neuer i am very curious how he performs today.

I think they have no chances to beat Bayern in the first place.
They also need 5 goals to be able to beat them without extra times of 4 goals. It is a very unrealistic otpion.
Make that 6 goals and current score at half time Bayern lead 1 goal to nil and I thought with the absence of Neuer Lazio will have a different approach to the game but seems Bayern are just that good....hope they go on to win because we might have a new champion this time around.

The game of Chelsey vs Atletico today has the potential to be very exciting. Of course Chelsea has the advantage going in with a 1-0 lead but i think a 1-0 win by atletico and therefore a overtime is very much possible today.
Update Chelsea lead by one goal thanks to a Ziyech  goal from which means if Atletico are to progress they should push for 2 or more goals to either push the game to overtime or win and progress.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What is the best way to get the best gas fees for eth tokens on: March 17, 2021, 06:17:34 AM

not the worst

The days of the 21 gwei are long gone but we must move forward with the growing demand of cryptos.

Now if sending tokens with a value of $10 will cost your $20 or more in fees this is very uneconomical and I can't take this anymore...I bet you can't take it as well !
So is there a way of calculating the most optimal fees without running out of gas or paying too much? I have used the metamask gas calculator and etherscan gastracker to get estimates but I think these are not cost efficient.

What is the best way to get the best gas fees when moving Eth tokens?
