I've had a Dragon hosted with Mr Lee since March and apart from a few hours very early on its been solid as a rock.

Thanks, but I still don't get why the 900W on 2 PCIe, for 2 boards, stops working after 1 minute, even when I change settings and click "Save" it stops the power supply immediately Angry not mentioned, I do see in setup just setting for 3 pools instead 4

Don't cut corners and buy cheap PSU's, your problem is purely that your PSU is crap.
1808  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 16, 2014, 07:41:02 AM
VAT is roughly £107 for both S3s.
This might not include the surcharge from UPS which should be around £10.

Mines always been £11

Mind you last time Bitmain sent me something they marked it as "Bitcoin Miner" and I got charged an extra £23 duty on top of the VAT

1809  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 14, 2014, 08:30:05 AM
Herein lies the problem with pre-orders. I suggest to Bitmain that they revert back to selling in-stock equipment only so as to avoid this kind of thing happening again.

With regards to the refunding options: If the S3's are p2pool compatible then I don't mind having the 10% coupons as I will definitely be buying some more - but if they are not p2pool compatible I would prefer a refund, as I will not be buying any more. Can you please advise us on the p2pool situation asap so that we can make a decision?

Peace  Smiley

They already said they are p2pool compatible.

See above.

Yeah I saw they changed their tune a bit. They were more positive last time I heard them speak about it.

They already said they are p2pool compatible, it may take some work

Looks like they changed their tone to say "will be", one day isn't good enough for many. We heard it too many times.

Happens every now and then.
1813  Economy / Services / Re: [Lee group]1649$ for dragon 1T bitcoin miner on: July 05, 2014, 08:47:47 PM
I feel prices still need to drop on the A1 Dragons, $1/GH is the new benchmark level set by Bitmain and everyone will have to compete with that.

Bitmain's S2 is a 1TH rig and cost over $1700. I've been interested in something I can get and run at home with my KNC rig, but the manufacture's are keeping the prices at a very premium, trying to squeeze every penny out.

I'm talking about S3 not S2.

And S2 was/is $1300 with a coupon, delivered.

S3 is going to start shipping this coming week so they say. I think everyone else is just using this window to milk the higher $/G rate.

+ I'm not interested in running anything more at home now, I'm maxed out for the Summer, I'm only looking at hosted miners.

Just need them to come down to match the S3 price.

AntMiner S3 NEWS

The Second Batch of AntMiner S3 runs out of stock. The Second Batch of AntMiner S3 is still in stock!!!
The Third Batch of S3 sales price is dropped to 0.725 BTC each with international shipping, which will open sales at 22:00 pm on July 4th (UTM + 8 ). The Third Batch is most likely to be shipped before July 20th, but no more than one or two days delay may happen.

This is still too expensive.  You'll have to do better than this to get an order from me.

M

Like they give a damn, these things are selling like hot cakes!
