1802  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2014, 06:22:08 PM
Will 330 mark the third higher low, from the obvious bottom in Oct.?
Will we paint a double bottom in the high 200's?
Will we crash down and make a new all time recent low?

i reckon the next 24 hours are critical
Type it right brother:

the next 24 hours are critical

Ripple is not a danger to current monoploy of power. Bitcoin IS.

Bitcoiners soon might have to decide if they are in for the money or for their (pleaded?) ideals.

I'd rephrase this as "If they want SOME profit, or EVERYTHING".
But then again, I'm a known hodler so please don't take me seriously... Wink

Heh, nice set. I can automatically count about 5 persons here implementing those 25 rules. Wait; I have them all on ignore. Grin

The worst currency today is not Bitcoin. It's Ruble. It's down 10% today even after raising interest for 6.5%

For those in the know, the current situation could be called "financial war". He who has the biggest gun wins. I only hope Putin's financial advisors get him to understand that Bitcoin could offer a nice alternative; or if you prefer, a "better weapon".

What about “the news”?

When this market finally bottoms, likely in less than a week from this writing, there will undoubtedly be some big news item on that day.  Less educated traders and pundits will be shouting from the rooftops that the markets turned because of that news.  But it won’t be because of the news.  Markets don’t turn because of the news.  The biggest news of the year was the Microsoft announcement they will start accepting Bitcoin for their applications.  But the markets did not turn up on the bullish news.  The Microsoft news mattered little because the charts, market geometry, dictated that it was not yet time for the bear market to end.  That time is almost here.  But not just yet.

Next 24 hours are extremely critical.
I expect a dramatic price drop to at least $315.

But hey, don't listen to me. I usually get everything wrong.
You'd better trade the opposite and make profit.

Well, here we go!
Glad that I was already short Grin

Well, I was a little bit too optimistic about the time frame.
But my shorts are very happy nonetheless.
Happy Shorts: Grin

There were only 100 billion ever created. There is like 999,999,700,000.00 now though.
There's a nice round number...

I finally moved the majority of my coins off of Polo and into my wallets.  I am now less of an idiot. Tongue

I then sent some coins to a MyMonero account that I am giving as a gift to somebody.  I sent them the story and info via snail mail.

The most sane thing to do. I've settled up a VirtualBox Win64 machine just for that. After MtGox-ed and Vircurex-ed (twice) I am very sensitive with the money/coins I have into the exchanges. Undecided

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
?

It is another, equally silly, song.

WTF!? Is this thread turned into a Ripple speculation one? Grin

PS: Dump incoming...  Undecided

I have speculated that I would not wipe my arse with Ripple. That is about as far as I am willing to go at this stage.

Ditto. Just joking, BTW. I guess Ripple is the next "digital" dollar for some, since it incorporates the "We can print moar overnight", ability. Sigh...

Why would anyone dump just after the MS announcement and right before the money hits the exchanges?

Because the bubble hasn't fully deflated yet?

Huh? Check the charts we're bottoming out already.

are we bottoming or is the bear bubble about to pop?
YES!!!!1 bottoming!!!!!!!!! Grin

I always have it handy... even now as we speak. Grin

Are you waiting any change before christmas?

Bitcoin has proven itself unpredictable so far. If a rally up occurs, it will surely won't based on news though. After Microsoft's announcement short rally, I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. I'm long anyway, so I guess I will need more popcorn... Smiley
Well i don't think so, most of the us ordinary people buy gifts b4 christmas and don't have leftover money for crypto.

True, but I'm afraid that the price is rarely based on "ordinary people". Undecided
