1181  Other / Meta / "THE LIST" on: April 10, 2015, 02:45:34 PM
Since Theymos has declared "Newbie Jail" obsolete, there are a lot of annoying posts; mainly to Wall Observer thread, but also everywhere on this forum. Most of them are sockpuppets (ie: clone accounts of one person and/or a team).

I've decided to publish my ignore list. It will keep the place clean for you and keep the useful posts visible. Please keep in mind that this is an ongoing work and will be revised every day. If you feel like contributing with additions and/or removals, please do so. The idea is to narrow down everyone who doesn't fit in and keep them out.

Thanks for reading & using.

1182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2015, 09:45:25 AM
I'm sceptical.
BIT opening has been next week for about 3 weeks & these ebay/paypal announcements seem to be trotted out 2 or 3 times a year & fuck all happens.

That's the nature of regulators.

They move at glacial speed, and they have a big impact.

Plus Gemini & the Winkledouches ETF.
I want some ******* good news.
Proper news, adoption.

Getting fed up of this bear market, if I wasn't fairly comfortable in life I'd have sold everything by now.

True story. Bitcoin is not for the faint hearted, that's for sure. I guess all of us here have something in common though. Bulls and Bears. We're in for the long run...
1183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2015, 09:35:42 AM
PayPal merchants can now accept Bitcoin?

Wow. That's news.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/321pb3/paypal_just_filed_this_document_to_the_sec/

edit

Key words here:

"....digital currencies such as Bitcoin..."

Chaps....world domination is upon us. Hold on to your beer (and the boobs).

PayPal doesn't have a mobile hardware phone offering, so while Apple Pay, Microsoft and Samsung all jump into mobile payments, PayPal needs to do something different.

Options.

1. Add Bitcoin and start pissing off Visa and MasterCard, and the above. That's not so bad for PayPal because it back's onto people's bank accounts. In theory PayPal could wipe out Coinbase, while also propelling Bitcoin into the mainstream.

2. PayPal could try to buy a hardware unit, if Blackberry wasn't such a basket case it could have been RIM. But why bother? PayPal is currently unique in that it connects to people's bank accounts. Until Apple, Microsoft and Samsung switch to doing this, PayPal and Bitcoin are a natural fit for PayPal's competitive advantage.

I'd be buying Bitcoin and PayPal stock at this point.

Well, that's awesome. BIT on Monday PLUS Paypal? The ultimate Bear trap is being settled... Am I the only one who sees where this is going?  Wink
PS: Options for h/w wallet: https://www.hardwarewallet.com/ - https://www.bitcointrezor.com/
PS2: They don't need one. Any phone with paypal app will do just fine...

I've tried the ignore feature a few times, but I always end up clicking "show this post" to see what they wrote.
So I don't have anyone on my ignore list anymore. Except for Walsorj since all he ever does is post about ripple shitcoins.

I don't do that anymore. It works for most sockpuppets and NLC himself. I do have some people that I have my doubts though (Shatoshi and Wandererfromthenorth was 2 of them) that I monitored for a while before I changed my decision...

I believe it keeps this place a lot tidier than before Wink

You're out of the list as well. Reviewed your posts and decided you were there by mistake. I will constantly monitor the candidates and will revise my decisions. If anyone has issues with it please PM me and let me know.

Thanks.

Hey! Get me off that list!

Don't harrass me, man Roll Eyes

Your new account is not. But keep posting those NLC gifs and this will change ASAP.

Cheers.

It isn't so hard to understand the semantics here. No TA EVER worked for BTC in critical moments. Plus all we do is trying to eradicate our ignorance via lines and pennants. It may be a way that works on other things. BTC proved all this wrong. It does the exact opposite...
To me it always seems that TA with BTC works perfectly, a lot more than in other markets.
It's almost scary how predictable it can be sometimes. Especially in key moments.

Following a pattern while trying to put your money where your mouth is, is not the best strategy IMHO. Maybe it works for you; but seriously don't let it turn into a habit. This is a nice read that explains thorougly why I believe so: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=372346.0

Cheers.

PS: You're out of the list too;)

is it just me or has someone big been creating support at around 240-245 ever since  the 25th of March? Manipulation or a great buying opportunity for a metawhale to buy against the final wave of a determined bear market?

I guess we'll find out later -maybe next Monday- when BIT hits the Wall Street. Who should really care? Only those who have no coins (or very few). I'd worry if I were among them. Now I just picked up the "Holding my BTC with confidence" from the poll. Wink
1189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 08, 2015, 10:01:09 PM

Not trolling now, I had some bad moments where I got angry and was offensive. It's not my intention to really insult people here, but sometimes it came over me. I promise to improve  Cheesy

Nevertheless, looking on your list: As I see there are no bulls. How come? (Crowds of) Offensive bulls were my main reason to become a bear troll, and I don't regret - it feels good. You should try! Sell your coins, and praise the doom! And don't forget to short on max leverage.

I think you're wrong. Occasionally, some bulls are offensive, but this is only when provoked. I'm not the Pope and I'm willing to add anyone you would propose if I oversaw one. As I wrote previously it doesn't have to do with bull or bear but with insults or offensive posts. Plus, many bears and/or trolls are not on the list.

For instance mmitech wasn't always a bear. But he was always insultive to others. I don't have anything against trolling too. I did it myself many times, but always tried not to provoke and not to insult anybody. Humor works in these cases.

Last but not least. Sock puppets. I really gave NLC a chance to make it even. This guy surely has to be donated to science for further research. He may even get a nobel for the NLT (New Level of Trolling) achievements. Grin

BTW: I've removed you from the list and Posting again:

Perhaps we could have that list in a sticky post at the top of the speculation forum.

Alternatively, I would be happy to pay the hosting costs and register a domain if someone did the leg work setting up the forum software for an alternate site.

Oh c'mon I'm on the list,  am I a shameless troll too now? lol

 Lips sealed

If the cap fits..but seriously you shouldn't be on that list Smiley

The dump3er neither should be on the list!!!1one

Oh dear!, it really hurts to see my name on such a list  Cry

Oh my!
But you do tend to dump huge logs in peoples faces.

FYI:
I've been a mod onto multiple forums for quite a long time (I'm online since 1995). I tend to give people a couple of chances in order to prevent their "bad" posts prevail over the "good" ones. Both of you, as well as mmitech are on this list not because you're bears (others here are too) but because I found more than 3 of your comments insultive to other users. I find this intolerable IRL, also as on an online (public) forum.

I have no authority here (I never wanted any TBH) and this list is made just to keep this thread clean while I try to maintain the information flow. If you behave, since I predict this list is gonna be viral (joking  Grin), then I will remove you from it. I don't have anything against you, I can't tolerate insults to others. Just that.

Cheers.

Buy all the bitcoins you can, and you will get rich next week.

I'm already rich (sentimentally). Grin
Who cares about being rich in fiat money? Besides, don't forget: 1BTC=1BTC. Wink

100% of people reading your post.

There are plenty of fiat wealthy people around here that are specifically here for a piece of the BTC pie now Cheesy

The single and whole truth in one sentence! Chances are that most of the trolls here are here for the same reason. Or mental. Both seem equal as possibilities! Tongue

This could be interesting, I've just read it on CNBC, sorry if I'm reposting. Cool

Quote
Public trading could begin next week for bitcoin fund

Investors soon could begin trading shares of the first investment vehicle tied to bitcoin.

It's been called "bitcoin's golden moment," and some see it as the start of the financial
trend of the future. The Bitcoin Investment Trust (BIT) is just about ready for public trading.

The fund, whose share price would be about one-tenth of one bitcoin's selling price minus
fees, has cleared all of its regulatory hurdles, and many shares have surpassed their
year-long holding period, according to Barry Silbert, the founder of Digital Currency
Group, which owns the fund's manager Grayscale Investments.

still waiting...

A friend of mine said that this is actually true and he will be able to buy in next Monday (tends to give about 100,000Eur). He said this is a certainty. Let's see...

Please tell me what you think schould be improved on Bitcoin ?...  I understood that Bitcoin is semi-anonymous, but really after using Bitcoins for 2 years now, I see how easy it is to make new wallets and transfer around the bitcoins, so no one would ever be able to track anything from those transactions??? Even if they wanted, its almost impossible to prove anything.

Very few things, actually. But they are there. I'm not saying that there's another coin that is superior to the BTC's tech. But there are a few that use a better version of it. Check my posts and see what I'm following if you want to see more. This is the BTC Wall observer, I won't go off topic; contrary to my beliefs Tongue

FONZIE? Nah, I'm sure he's a nice guy, he'd never do such a thing to ignorant people...  Grin
Seriously now WTF? Are there people still involved in this kind of stuff? And why doesn't anyone from the allegedly called "authorities" do something about it? Is it not declared an illegal act?
