Sir!
On ignore you go! You make a new account, I will add it to "The List".
Fair deal; no?  Grin
1162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 11, 2015, 12:28:16 PM
Looking at the chart below, Monero seems to be very oversold to me... Smiley

It was at 0.001, not anymore. I hope you do realize that XMR is being mined and miners sell coins to cover their costs?  Grin

Maybe, but consider that it's still in very early stage, many things are not yet done, plus many major exchanges have not yet implemented it into their databases. Please keep this in mind and then decide if this price is an indicator to something bigger or smaller... Wink
1163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 11, 2015, 12:10:30 PM
This thing is taking a fall into the abyss either tonight or in 4-5 days.  This is what happens when new money stops liking bitcoin as a speculative tool.

I disagree. I think we're going to stay around the 200-270 range until the end of the year. Maybe longer. There's so much in the works right now to help support the economy. It's going to be interesting seeing how things pan out in 2016+

The last quarter of last year "they" said that with all the VC investment in the btc infrastructure that 2015 was going to be the year of btc.

The main issue now is that with the current infrastructure, people with "BIG" money can't get coins easily. This is what BIT or COIN are here to overcome. It's not that hard to understand why we're keeping going down when there is a great difficulty to buy coins "NOW" whenever this "NOW" is.

Plus, one thing that I agree with JorgeStolfi (despite our disagreements) is that we need the exchange infrastructure to be more "transparent"; ie: I'd trust fully an exchange that posts every buy & sell transaction to the ledger, since it's happening anyway *is it?*...

We've got a long way ahead us my friends.

PS:List updated. (BlindMayorBitcorn is out of the list as well.)
1164  Other / Meta / Re: "THE IRONY" on: April 11, 2015, 11:57:16 AM
How does it feel to be on somebody else's list? Not cool amirite? Lest we forget the teachings of the Lord:

"Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine"

So...you know...stew on that for a bit. Roll Eyes

If you read my posts regarding this list you should -by now- have understood that I don't give a rat's ass who has me on his ignore list. You should do the same... Grin

PS:List updated.
1165  Other / Meta / Re: "THE LIST" on: April 11, 2015, 11:53:31 AM
What an bad idea, Macsga.

For a start:
mmitech (started out a bull, lost money, saw the light and told people they were being stupid and turned out to be correct ...BTC still going down).

ShroomsKit (a number of people used the same account -- they even admitted this was why the posts sounded schizophrenic -- but essentially they all got fed up with losing money)

fonzie (a day trader who made countless good calls about future BTC prices, including Ristos -- all hail Risto -- prediction thread, when he called 200 in mArch 2015, while the rest of you delusionals were talking about 10K)

So, it does seem you are just creating a hit list of people who don't share your opinion.

Of course, there are loads of trolls these days, but is it any wonder when the cultists are becoming more and more extreme in the face of mounting evidence BTC is going nowhere, supply far exceeds demand and the only hope is that "big money" comes in to manipulate the market before another huge 'correction'.

The entire forum is now like an internet slow motion car crash, with people like yourself in the back seat insisting everything is fine while everyone else watches from the safety of the sidewalk.  Do you think Theymos cares?  The traffic is probably through the roof with all the rubber-neckers and he gets to make a few last dollars from BTC.

Hi Nanobrain.

As I said, the list is an ongoing project; and I don't claim the infallible. I'm open to suggestions but let me explain why some people are there:

mmitech: He was constantly insulting people with his posts and/or provoke them. That's why he's into the list.
ShroomsKit: You typed it yourself. He was nothing but noise just like mah87, so he fell into the the >80% troll category.
fonzie: If you check at his posts, he turned delirious and also insulted some people so he fell into category mmitech is.

So you see, "not everyone who's not sharing my opinion is there". Like I wrote in the OP, the list is to keep MYSELF (and whoever wants to use it) free of the noise those people make. The forum is "open", so if you want to read everything you can do so if you don't login. Not to mention that you can just choose not to use it, or (like many people so far) add me to your ignore list as well.

Consider that I offer this list only for people with "similar thinking". Not to "everybody".

Cheers.

PS: BlindMayorBitcorn is out of the list as well.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2015, 11:24:36 PM
Major movement is yet to be seen; I couldn't guess under this volume where we're going. That is, if the volume is real. I guess it won't be long since we observe a nice volume again though. Bear-or-Bull, a whale is gonna come... Wink

FYI: "The List" is updated.

OMG! Stop bullying me you lunatic!

Do you spit on graves too?

Still Bearing you Wink

No, I don't spit at all. It's not polite...

What will you all be saying when we're trading in the $1xx range ?

LOL, I checked what I wrote last time!

I see someone had fun when I was gone. Woke up to day 1 after the Apocalypse.

I hope we all agree now: TO DA BLIMMIN, FUDDLING... MOOOOOON!!!!!!

1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 10, 2015, 09:30:49 PM
I think XMR will be #2 on that filter non mineable and premined list in 2 years. That filter should also filter Dash. So actually XMR is #4 currently.

Yes... why on earth does that filter NOT include dash?

and bytecoin, what is wrong with coinmarketcap.

Horrible decision on their part. In fact they originally tagged BCN as premined (as it obviously was) but removed it when the BCN shills complained.

I'm not sure what their infrastructure is built on, or what is the reason they pick up which coin is included, but they left out a lot of alts out of there. Maybe it's based on to what is traded on specific "big" exchanges... Who knows?

1170  Other / Meta / Re: "THE LIST" on: April 10, 2015, 08:33:12 PM
Admittedly I can't back up my 99% claim (so it could be vastly exaggerated) but I would be very surprised if the percentage of useless posts was under 50% (am not sure how we can prove this though).

Personally I am opposed to people getting paid to post at all but maybe that is also because I don't get paid to code (yet put in generally a hundred hours per week of coding effort).

And yes - I won't continue a discussion with an ad-sig poster any further (he is welcome to create an alt to join the other topic - but like most lazy ad-sig posters he won't bother).

Let me get this straight:
1. You're so pissed at people with ad-sig campaigns that you would stop a discussion with them just because of that and not because of what they were talking about.
2. Unless that specific individual would make a sock puppet account (without a sig) your participation to his musings wouldn't be granted?

What's all the hassle about? And why all the hostility? I'm truly sorry that I can't comply, please enlighten me.
1171  Other / Meta / Re: "THE LIST" on: April 10, 2015, 04:13:12 PM
No problem you are welcome, however I don't prefer to add users to ignore list because it is better (in my honest opinion) to read all the posts instead to don't read them. In this way we can "learn" more about bitcoin and other things (I know it is really annoying to read a troll write the same thing , and spread FUD in all the topics .... but who care?).

It is. But in the last few months we've witnessed an enormous noise to signal increase, making technically impossible to read the information within a thread. For what it's worth, apart from the sockpuppets, I constantly unignore people from the list for a short time to revise my decision... Wink

PS: List updated. This thread seems to be a sockpuppet magnet Tongue

Yes (also) your opinion is valid, however I think also the personal list is a personal thing but maybe it could be possible to create a standard ignore list (of valid and obviously troll and sockpuppets). For example few users in your list are real sockpuppets but I am still quiet in read their posts.

As I previously stated, I'm open to suggestions. If you feel like removing one (or more) please state their nicknames. I will revise their posts and will remove them.

@CIYAM:
It seems to me your thesis has a point. But I'd categorize it in between "good" and "evil". You see, not everything in life is "black or white" - actually, most things are (more than) 50 shades of gray! Grin

I find your estimation of "only 1% of the sig posts are worthy" a bit exaggerating. There are plenty of posts that certify your canon, but under no circumstances there are 99%.

Last but not least, as I wrote on the OP, this is my personal ignore list that it's open to suggestions. If you feel like contributing in any way, please do so, you're very welcome.

Cheers.
1172  Other / Meta / Re: "THE LIST" on: April 10, 2015, 03:58:30 PM
If only things were so simple. One single person cannot create a quality ignore list, he will always be biased and he can't get enough information, no matter who he is. People with paid signature are more likely to post low quality posts but that doesn't mean they will. There are both extremely high quality posts with signatures and garbage without any signature or reward of any kind. People can troll on one post and that doesn't mean they're always trolls and therefore should be ignored. They can be trolls and slowly grow up into top contributors of the community, or the other way around.

Because of this a list of this kind -if implemented at all- must be a hard work done by several trusted members of the forum. I suggested something like this before but even with these considerations it would be hard to maintain and it's very arguable whether it would help or not. Without a continuous team work I think it's not even worth considering it.

I totally agree on all points. I indulge you to work together and build something for everybody. I don't have anything against anyone here, I never provoked anyone, and certainly can change my decision about a person I accidentally added. If you feel like contributing, please do so. Two people are certainly better than one. We will eventually reach the "team" stage if we do it right.

Thanks for your ideas. Smiley

Regarding The List, I've started a new thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1019752

Please contribute if you feel like by posting there for additions / removals. Thanks.

Went through your post history, bunch of MOON, CCMF, HODL in bold, large font and colored,
pictures of trains and rockets and other bullish spam.

You're the definition of troll, ignored.
I honestly like the troll post sometimes, they make me lol

Me too. What I don't like, is insults, provocative posts, and generally posts that prevent me from what I'm here to read. This is not a "bear" list contrary to some accusations it has been given so far.

@Deadcoin: If you find my previous posts as trolling you're very welcome to add me to your ignore list. If you feel like, please contribute yours as well. Maybe we will do a crossmatch and find if we have anything in common.  Grin
1175  Other / Meta / Re: "THE LIST" on: April 10, 2015, 03:11:31 PM
a simpler way to filter:

- switch off "hide signatures" option (if you had it in on)
- Put on  Ignore everyone with an advertisement in the signature
(or  at least everyone who's not advertising their own projects).
- switch "hide signatures" back on

The reason is that these people are paid per post. So of course they post crap.

Nice info, but I beg to differ. Not everyone with signatures is posting crap. Plus; many serious campaigns have people who check on a daily basis what the members are posting. Besides, many people I know here, are using the funds from their ad campaigns for donations, supporting projects etc (I for one, I'm doing just that).

Cheers.

PS: One more added. Please update.  Grin

This will only work for a specific (yours) profile Dogie. Sad

You should change the id number with your forum id. My ID is 211419 and yours ID is 19459.

Exactly. I only added the link to Profile. This is the same for every user.

Try with this direct link : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=;sa=ignprefs

Thanks for this. Seems to be working. I've added it directly.
