1821  Local / Mining (India) / Re: A Noob Guide For Building Ethereum Mining Rig on: April 24, 2018, 08:15:48 PM
You do realize that less than 430 million people here speak Hindi as their mother tongue, right? Most of them and the rest the country can't even read the language. So, what's the use of writing in Hindi?

And if you are feeling that generous, why don't you go ahead and write the guide down in the 1600 odd languages we have here... including the ones that the Siddi people speak.
1822  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Anyone buying products from newegg?? on: April 24, 2018, 08:03:42 PM
Newegg price are exciting. But the problem is the International warranty and the custom fee. If anyone brought from the site then please answer whether it is safe to buy from newegg , and what about the custom duty?

Forget about warranty. You won't get International warranty here. India is not on Earth so most companies nullify the international warranty in our realm.

And if you add the product to the cart, they will show you an estimated quote for tax and shipping. Sometimes, like the last 2 times I bought something from them, the customs people were extra greedy and I had to shell out 2 - 3k extra as duty overcharge when taking the delivery.

Better to buy & ship it through parcel forwarders, I use PPObox. They offer transit insurance as well.
1823  Local / India / Re: Why Arun jaitley ji, Modi ji and RBI has no idea about what they are talking! on: April 24, 2018, 07:54:59 PM

...Modi modi Jaitley Jetlee Rubi Rbi ....

It seems like you are the one who understands very little about the implications of blockchain.

Let me dumb it down for everyone.

Bitcoin = More money syphoned from the mainstream economy into an untraceable and un-taxable system. = Bad for business.

Like it or not, India has made a business out of governance. They are taxing people to death. Now offcourse, I understand that the death for tax incidence in that link was an exception and not a rule, but you get the message. Taxes are high here. And this is a business. Bitcoin or any crypto, HURTS that business.

Now blockchain.

Think of it like a really advanced ledger system, the likes of which didn't exist before. They did come close in some instances like the one I talked about here : How close did they get to Blockchain before it's 'invention'?

In our country, cases of duping the system has always existed, for instance, Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) tampering, duplicate bank accounts, duplicate pan cards, multiple ration cards, multiple ID proofs in different state etc etc.. all of it can be quelled directly with the decentralized integration of a blockchain like system.

Was that dumb enough for everyone?
1824  Local / India / Re: RBI's crackdown on exchanges, any alternatives? on: April 24, 2018, 07:45:01 PM
HI folks,

just wanted to get people's opinions on how do we carry forward our crypto investments in India.

I was a regular user of Unocoin's SIP service which allowed me to create a portfolio and invest small amounts every month on my favourite crypto but with current regulatory issues in India, I had to stop using their service and move to a UK based crypto SIP provider called Hexorr. The only drawback with Hexorr is that they don't have direct integration with banks yet, so I have to first fund my Hexorr wallet with BTC which is purchased through Localbitcoins.com/country/IN and then Hexorr does a good job of automatically buying cryptos for me on a monthly basis.

Does anyone have any other ways to do this?

Thanks.

In each of your last 6 posts, you have mentioned Hexorr. It does not take a new Einstien to see through what you're trying to do here.
1825  Local / India / Re: Good News: Notice from Delhi HC to RBI for Blanket Ban on: April 24, 2018, 07:39:27 PM
...
Now that the matter is in front of court, hopefully we'll see some rational arguments from the regulatory side rather than stupid blanket bans and demonization.
It looks like the people at Kali Digital here are the ones who filed this petition. More power to them. Show them some love.

You mean to say we will get a 'just' resolution to the whole Bitcoin issue? That too from a corrupted body?

Just look at how they are handling the Aadhaar issue since 2014. Its been 4 years since the debacle started and yet they haven't reached a conclusion on whether the -clearly intrusive and privacy-busting, Aadhaar system is unconstitutional or not.

Gomment hi nahi, adaalat bhi bik gayi hai mere bhai.
1826  Economy / Services / Re: JOBS & SERVICE REQUEST BOARD (Post Hiring requests HERE) + TX Accelerator Advice on: April 24, 2018, 07:29:15 PM
..Looking for an expert who has successfully driven traffic to ANN/Bounty posts

Anyone can get any number of views on any thread on this forum. There's a neat old trick to it. And no, it does not corresponds to the actual number of visitors or readers you get on that post.

Good Job on making this thread, most of the times i seen people looking around and frastrated on finding on what they want but this way they will not be confused anymore Thanks  Smiley

Appreciate the kind words. Don't hesitate to bookmark this thread.
1827  Economy / Services / Re: Cryptotalk.net - get 0.0001 BTC per post on: April 24, 2018, 06:09:00 PM
I Think it should be 0.0004 btc per post because if i posted 100 posts i would make over 100 dollars. I will join if you can increase posting rates.

This is why newbie jail was such a good thing.
1828  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion : Merit Jail on: April 24, 2018, 04:36:47 PM
Then how many mods do you expect to do moderation on that board? It will be a hard job you know. A lot of bad people gathered together wont make board a place with a lot of meritorious posts.

Just because your post was not merit worthy doesn't mean that you are a bad person.
If theymos really cares to improve this place, then he'll hire just enough mods to get this done.
The forum can afford this. (Economically as well as practically).
1829  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion : Merit Jail on: April 24, 2018, 04:24:24 PM
20 merits for 25 posts for heroes? That's absurd!
And it's going to be even harder for lower ranks if not impossible.

I do not think that would be a good idea.
1830  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week in BTC & Tokens! on: April 24, 2018, 04:05:51 PM
I know the current market is trending upwards right now, but the growth this coin has seen, specifically since the campaign has launched, has been truly anomalous. I would guess this campaign has had a drastic effect because this currency is outperforming on a much larger scale than the market in general. Hopefully it can stay open past the 4 weeks originally agreed to!

Yup. Normally I do not join campaigns with token payments but IOST is special. It has Binance support along with a few other exchanges.
And just to emphasize on the impact of this campaign 6500 IOST is now worth $340 which was $150 at the start.
1831  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion : Merit Jail on: April 24, 2018, 03:58:52 PM
Few questions arise in my mind :

1. Would there be further sub-categories or it would be a mess made up of posts which would have else belonged different categories ?

Categories could be there. But it could be a soft jail. As in you still get to post out of this place but with maybe a day of wait time between posts.

2. Would the certain merit requirement be time based, say minimum to get x merit per month, or total merit of particular user ? If it's the first case, then users who might not be that active or temporarily not posting for long might also suffer even though their posts be of high quality.

Agreed with inactivity issue. Users could get their merit decayed with long periods of inactivity. But that is a different thing that does not require the existence of Merit Jail.

Time based merit expiration would really burn out the newbies and the mods pretty soon.

Maybe it should be like get xx amount of merit per rank before you get to post outside this board with normalcy.
1832  Other / Meta / Suggestion : Merit Jail on: April 24, 2018, 03:39:00 PM
Remember we used to have newbie jail?
Why not make a Merit jail as well?
If you do not get a certain amount of merit, you will not be allowed to post 'normally' outside of that board or not at all maybe.
We can do this for each rank and not just newbies. Might also need to make the admins of that board become the defacto merit sources. Their job would be to exclusively asard merit to decent posts within that board.

What do you guys think?
1833  Economy / Reputation / Re: I never expected this on: April 24, 2018, 03:17:07 PM

Did you check the reason why the OP got negative trust? Do you even care to read before you post or simply prefer to shitpost your way through so that you get paid for your signature? Suggest you to check the reference left on the OP's trust page by The Pharmacist before daring to comment again.

No. In the internet nobody is redeemable. Once a criminal Always a criminal. No mercy for the sinners.

I do a lot of things. Shit posting ain't one of them. And if I only posted to earn, my post counts wouldn't be so high. I started regularly participating in campaigns since December 2017

Anyways, this isn't about me, or whatever it is that you think of me.
I'm aware of the wrong doings of OP. I do not condone it and I even think a temp ban could serve him well. But I'm one of those guys who thinks even thieves are human beings and capable of change (in the long run) and should be given a fair chance to make ammends.

No. In the internet nobody is redeemable. Once a criminal Always a criminal. No mercy for the sinners.

Bullshit.

The pharmacist is a butthurt-troll.

And a colorful racist too. Just like a few elite people here on this thread. But the guy does have an eye to spot scams / shitposts and in general shittery. So if he hands anyone a report, that is well deserved.

PS I don't care if he and Lauda or someone else are joined at the hips. As long as he does not misuse his power or misjudge people, I'm fine.

1835  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week in BTC & Tokens! on: April 21, 2018, 09:56:48 PM
Sir can you please confirm that if I am I accepted or not. I participated 3 days ago while slots were open but my name was not in the list.

Do you see your name in the following quote which was made after your application?

...
The following members have been accepted into the campaign:
nathan047
legendster
bitbollo
taiwww
sud
googs84
jmigdlc99
edgycorner
vlad230
butka
apurveanand
lienfaye
...

Since your name isn't there, you weren't picked. Word of advice, kindly refrain from asking redundant questions, it would only make it hard for you to enter in ANY campaign.
1836  Economy / Services / Re: looking for DEV who can add ETH token deposit and withdrawal to our casino site on: April 21, 2018, 09:46:36 PM
how much do I owe you? or how much do I owe anyone here? tell me and if you cant you get another red trust

cheers

Case in point, OP resorts to threats rather than understanding the context. Squiggled out when asked to escrow funds for his job. So if you're smart AVOID working with OP.

PS: @OP You just earned yourself a rightful spot on my ignore list. TC
1837  Economy / Services / Re: looking for DEV who can add ETH token deposit and withdrawal to our casino site on: April 21, 2018, 05:43:10 PM
we need a dev who can add an ETH token deposit and withdrawal system/option to our casino website

please PM if you can do the task

thx

JPR

Since you have a less than stellar history when in comes to dealing with people, how about setting up an escrow for this task first? Hey, I'll even be the escrow for this task for free. But feel free to choose anyone trustworthy.

Bottomline, OP's arrant trust history raises a lot of flags, please make sure you have your funds secured/escrowed before you start working for him.

Good luck
1838  Economy / Reputation / Re: I never expected this on: April 21, 2018, 05:31:32 PM
Quoting that section for posterity.

No amount of whining will ever get you "redeemed" so to speak. Once a criminal - always a criminal. Live with that.

Dont even bother to create an alt account. Just go away from this forum and before doing so care to lock this thread please?

Get off your high horse mate, yes the lad made a blunderbust of himself but everyone makes a mistake or two and I mean EVERYONE. And everyone is redeemable.

@OP
Stick around the forum if you care about your identity. With time, the right behaviour, honesty and perhaps an extension of an olive branch from the pharmacy at some point in the future may be enough to get you your account standing back.
All that or just wait till the pharmacy goes bankrupt and makes a mistake of his own.

Let this be a lesson though for everyone, stop shitposting on this forum with alts.

Yes, I said pharmacy.

1839  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Major indian exchange gets hacked, 438 bitcoins stolen COINSECURE on: April 21, 2018, 05:23:40 PM
..Trust me whatever loses he is paying "from his own pocket" is not even 0.5% from his total net-worth.

So what do you think I have been hinting at all along?

Founders can definitely fund the entire amount from their pockets considering how rich Mohit Karla is.My point is,pay what people actually lost and not just try to look nice by paying something.

I thought your point was to be as coy as possible while telling me how puny my business brain is.. No? Okay.

I'm not able to find the proper links as this was way back in 206.Here's the link : https://yourstory.com/2016/04/coinsecure-funding/

This is news to me. I find it hard to believe that they raised so much money for an Indian exchange, that too, for an exchange that only dealt with Bitcoins initially. Sadly there is no way to authenticate such claims and no one cares enough.
This is one of their public crowd-funding rounds : https://bnktothefuture.com/pitches/coinsecure Even there they did not cross the million mark. And this was when they were well established and quite popular already.
However, since I am not affiliated with them or anything, who knows what's been cooking behind the closed doors.
1840  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Major indian exchange gets hacked, 438 bitcoins stolen COINSECURE on: April 21, 2018, 03:58:05 AM

 - Being the founder the funds in his company are not his! .....Like I said you need you get your business basics correct...

Instead of advocating about how potent my business knowledge is why don't you find out how the company was funded and how much of personal money Mohit Kalra and Samuel poured into the startup. And they barely raised a few crores in each of their seed funding rounds - both public and private. FYI, 1 crore = $154000

Now my information might be outdated and may be incorrect. But my comment about them funding this out of their own pocket is stemming from a simple fact, Benson's own admission of having poured in a few crores of his own savings into Bitcoin early on.
I'm simply saying that even if the company doesn't have enough funds in their coffer to refund every customer, the founders themselves can fund it all from their own pockets.

...You might be aware, the company raised a million bucks from the investors who will be active stake holders too...

Nope, not aware. Care to share the source of this information?
