For that, you'd be better off with vanitygen. The addresses he generated rely on the birthday paradox. E.g. in a large crowd, chances are good two people share the same birth date (ignoring year) - but there's no telling in advance if that date is January 20th, May 1st or August 14th. Same with addresses - generate a bunch of them, and two are likely to share a characteristic - the same starting bits, ending bits, middle bitchbits! (I meant BITS! Oh dear), whatever you'd set as criteria.. but the exact values can't be determined in advance. Thanks for noticing It took me about 1 week to generate on a Haswell 4 core / 8 threads. Using vanitygen to find such pairs of addresses is not feasible, e.g. $ vanitygen "18eXmgR5Svoqqa6" [1.34 Mkey/s][total 24407296][Prob 0.0%][50% in 3.161665e+10y]
...so 50% probability in about 32 billion years! I didn't use vanitygen, but rather a specialized tool designed to find partial address collisions based on the Birthday Attack. I might clean up the code and release it; although I am not sure if it has any use beyond some novelty value. The code currently uses CPU only. But a GPU port would make 100+ bit collisions feasible. Thanks for the info. However his arrogance in the situation allowed me to find a thread where he essentially admitted to scamming you/coinchat. He still denies the allegations and is trying to weasel his way out of being held responsibility however he is now labeled a scammer.

Actually, if you take per mile driven then the value is undefined. Total accidents can be 0 and that's fine, but assuming martians have driven 0 miles then you'd have to calculate 0/0 and we all know that division by zero is not defined On another note, maybe it's time to rename this thread "gender stereotypes discussion time" or something like that.

I see in the thread topic "proof-of-chain", "proof-of-pearl". These are cute names (actually I don't understand how a "chain" is clammy), but I ask myself, are these simply renamed "proof-of-work", "proof-of-stake", or is there something more that I should understand?

Its been a day now. Does your rank downgrade when you delete "x" amount of posts? Is it suppose to and for some reason its not doing it?
That is certainly the outstanding question. And from the look of things, no one really knows the answer. Either rank doesn't go down (like activity) or it does on the Tuesday upgrade or there's a bug. Time will tell.

The 88% was most likely 7 accurate reports out of 8, 87.5% rounded to 88% then one additional report was marked as good so you would have 8 out of 9 reports marked as good, 88.88% rounded to 89% Hmm, yes, that seems to have explained it. It should work with any language that can do HTTP POST including very low level programming languages. I think .NET is ops preferred language.

Please post some code which does this if you can. Sorry, I don't know anything about .NET, but almost every language I've worked with has some sort of system("systemcommandhere") call. one additional report was handled. Rounding. It must be some kind of rounding. But if the report were handled then I would have seen either an 80% or a 90% (as then the denominator would be 10 (no longer 9)). I guess I don't really understand how 8/9 (=0.8888...) would round down yesterday and round up today.

Quickseller feels himself like some kind of weird superhero who can predict future actions of persons and also read what they will do next. He gave me a negative trust without dealing with me, so I am not surprised. I am surprised why no negative trust were given to him in response to his amateur deeds in here I never have left negative feedback even to other people of accusing me without evidence, but I got really mad when I saw a guy like this saying (I am a scammer , don't deal with him etc) so I gave him what he deserved. It is true that your activity does make it seem, you might potentially scam someone with paypal, as you yourself were selling guides to chargeback, but still you could request them to change it to Neutral. As for selling illegal stuff like that, I think its banned on the forum, and that might be the reason for it. I don't know the whole history with kingofbitcoin but I can say that tomotocage has aslo left negative feedback. It's not clear to me whether this is something that tomatocage turned up and quickseller just echoed or vice-versa. In any case, it seems a distraction to the issues in this thread, which are about quickseller's attempts to inflate his own importance by going after anyone who he seees as less powerful than him and offering no recourse. When it comes to people more powerful than him, he's completely polite and understanding and doesn't in any way act disagreeable. For those below him, it's his way or the highway or "you're an idiot scammer/spammer"!

There's the empirical answer to this coming either today or next tuesday or the one after that. Right? If no one really knows for sure, we'll find out soon enough. The rank relies on the activity and should thus update with the activity. Activity is updated every 30 minutes IIRC. And yet, at the time of this writing, he still appears as Hero but with activity 100. So, we'll see if the rank is updated on another Tuesday (or never). It's definitely been more than 30 minutes

Ok, end of my rant! Proof-of-Pearl was a cute name for our lottery which was removed long ago. It was basically just random block rewards aka superblocks or whatever you'd like to call it but it didn't work out well. Hopefully the OP was playing a game with us or has learned something about how his own trust list works. Not having Vod on your trust list is a good way to get negative trust from users like Vod. Lol. Vod you and I don't really see eye-to-eye on a number of issues regarding Microsoft intellectual property so I've removed you. And, what's more, we've argued in public about it and you haven't seen reason to go after me for it. This stands in stark contrast to the behavoir of someone else I know who is (currently) on default trust. You're funny. But it's sad that the kind of behavoir you're joking about is actually going down (and was perpertrated against me).

Your number of reported posts (10) is increased as soon as you report them, however the accuracy is updated only when the reports are either handled or marked as bad. The 88% probably means 8/9, not 8.8/10.

I see that I have reported 10 posts, to the mods with 88% accuracy. But I find this highly surprising as I would have expected that my accuracy percent would have been in { 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100}. How could I have been right on 8.8 posts out of 10?

Either way Vod has positive trust in pretty much anyone who has their head on halfway straight's eyes This account is an admitted alt of Quickseller (aka Chase Curtis, possibly an alias). As an admitted account-farmer/account-seller, we don't really know how many accounts QS controls or how he uses them to sockpuppet, but since he's often commenting in Meta using his Quickseller account I think it's important to make sure we flag it as an alt of QS when it appears (so that we can watch for sockpuppetry).
