1841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 06, 2022, 12:30:30 PM
It is of course terrible for Barcelona to lose to Inter, did not expected that to happen, but at the same time they have achieved to rank at the top of la liga right now after madrids tie game. Which shows you that they are both good and not good at the same time, all depending on how they are playing that day. Sometimes they play like they are the best team in the league, and sometimes they play like they do not know what they are doing.

I have absolutely no idea what is causing that inconsistency, there must be something common with each of these wins and losses, like "when x happens we are worse" type of thing, but I have no idea what that is.
In this case the season is still long and at the moment they still have to face a tough match because if we look at the team they have to play against in the next 4 matches maybe only Celta is an easy opponent because the rest are Inter, Madrid and Villarreal Even though Villarreal are currently in bad shape, they will still be a hassle.

It is actually a very hard decision for Barcelona. It seems to me that they are having trouble deciding which one to give more importance to, which is why they cannot make up their minds. They will have to give equal importance to both La Liga and also the Champions League. We know that Barcelona has been giving a lot of importance to La Liga. That's why they are at the top of the table in La Liga. But the problem is that as a result, they were not able to give enough importance to the Champions League. And we all know that the Champions League actually deserves more attention and importance.

But another thing could have happened. The reason for this could be Barcelona has realized that the Champions League might actually be out of reach. That's why they are giving all their attention to La Liga and trying to win it.
1842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be used to clean environment and reduce waste?? on: October 06, 2022, 02:30:23 AM
Currently, more bitcoin miners are using renewable alternative energy so that it does not have a negative effect on the environment. many say that bitcoin is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and makes the ozone layer thinner. despite the fact that bitcoin only uses a few percent of the world's energy and large industries still use it more and it is protected by the government. Bitcoin is always a suspect when it comes to global warming.
Cleaning the environment from waste pollution is not the task of bitcoin, it is not completely related because bitcoin only uses a few percent of energy. Especially now that some bitcoin miners use energy that is more environmentally friendly. This is the duty of the government and everyone's awareness so that the environment can be clean.

The earth will not stop warming until humanity gives up all building millions of industrial plants, mining minerals, environmental resources...That is the real cause of global warming. Bitcoin and miners are under a lot of pressure on the energy usage and waste of bitcoin, I believe we will definitely move all to clean energy in the future. What I expect is what they will say next with bitcoin when the energy issue is resolved even though it's not entirely bitcoin's fault. Will they accept bitcoin or will they find another reason to keep blaming bitcoin?
1843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin CBDC on: October 06, 2022, 02:17:45 AM
If this is how CBDC works then I don't think anyone will use CBDC, nobody will do it to exchange BTC for CBDC, which sounds ridiculous.
well CBDCs are already being used on a moderately large scale! The Chinese one for example surpassed $15 billion volume last I checked and it is accepted by millions of shops inside China.
As for buying bitcoin, there is not much difference between using a CBDC or your bank account (wire transfer, credit cards, etc.) to buy bitcoin.

I know CBDC has been launched and used in a lot of countries, not only China but in Nigeria, an African country has also used its own CBDC. But @FanEagle's mention that the government uses CBDC to collect bitcoin is incorrect because it doesn't work that way. Using a bank account or CBDC to buy bitcoins or goods doesn't make too much difference, if they want to collect bitcoins that way then they just need to print more money and buy bitcoins the way we do our daily transactions without relying on CBDC.

-snip
I have no doubt that Juventus and Inter will return to the title race, but among the big four, someone must be a loser - it seems to me that Roma and Atalanta have a chance to get a place in the top 4 (especially Roma). As for the title, I again hope for Napoli and I hope that they distribute their forces for the whole season and do not repeat last year's disaster after a long period of great play.

The problem is no team is being able to play consistently in the Italian League this season. That's why it has become very hard to predict anything about what is going to happen at the end of the season.

I don't know why but I feel like when Paul Pogba is going to make a comeback, the performance of Juventus is going to improve quite a lot. Even though right now it feels like Napoli is going to do wonders in this season, I really don't know if that is going to be the case at the end of the season.

All I am trying to say is I cannot trust Napoli to win the league title. Right now Inter is almost out of the equation but I believe they will improve. And I am also quite sure that Milan is not going to be able to defend the Italian League title successfully.
1845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin CBDC on: October 05, 2022, 03:19:46 AM
I wonder would this be a pathway for the governments to use it to get a lot of bitcoin as well? I mean think about it this way, if you want to get CBDC that would be a fiat pegged thing just like usdt or busd, but at the same time you are going to have to pay with something to get them, and what if they would only accept bitcoin?

In that case, governments would own so much bitcoin if we use it, look at the current stablecoin market, if we trusted companies and bought stablecoins that much, how do we know we won't spend 100+ billion dollars worth of bitcoin to get CBDC? If that happens then governments will own so much bitcoin and that's a danger to us all.

If this is how CBDC works then I don't think anyone will use CBDC, nobody will do it to exchange BTC for CBDC, which sounds ridiculous. CBDC is a digital version of fiat, it will be used like fiat today and it will be very convenient for us if CBDC is used on centralized exchanges, this will help us buy and selling BTC more convenient. But using CBDC will make our privacy more limited as all our data will be transmitted directly to the government data center.

If the government intends to hold BTC then right now they can also take fiat money to buy bitcoins at any time.
1846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 05, 2022, 02:42:33 AM
So if one Mexican senator(who happens to be pro-Bitcoin) says that Bitcoin will become legal tender in Mexico this automatically means that Bitcoin will become legal tender in Mexico. It doesn't work that way. Grin
What if a US congressman or senator says that Bitcoin will become legal tender in the USA? Would you believe this news? I wouldn't.
I don't know anything about the financial situation in Mexico, but I don't believe that Mexico isn't a worst financial condition than El Salvador or Venezuela. I also don't think that the Mexicans are so desperate that they would embrace Bitcoin/altcoins right away.

You are right, this is just the opinion of a congressman who loves bitcoin so it doesn't work that way. At the beginning of January, the central bank of Mexico announced that it is working on creating a digital peso, which means it is intending to use CBDC in its country and hopes it will be rolled out in 2024. With this statement, it seems that accepting bitcoin as legal tender in Mexico is very unlikely to materialize. In the past, there were also many congressmen who proposed to make bitcoin legal tender in the country but things still did not work out.
1847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 04, 2022, 08:09:54 PM
So, if we take the current standings, it turns out that the first 8 teams won in the last round  Shocked This is an unusual phenomenon for any championship and especially for Serie A. I am surprised. It is clear that if you take the top 8 at the time of the 7th round, then the result will be a little less beautiful than for the top 8 after the 8th, but this is not very important.
And in general, I'm glad that out of the big 4, only the most acceptable team for me is actually in the top 4  Grin

There is no doubt that this is an indication that the Italian League is going to have a very competitive season this year. We have had some really unexpected results in the Italian League so far. As a result, I believe the teams have what it takes to continue the good work they have shown thus far from the start of the season. But if I have to name some teams, I have to say that I expect stronger performances from Inter, Juventus, and probably also from Fiorentina. After a few matches, I am confident that they will be able to perform better than they were before. It is also likely that after a few matches, the score will start to make sense as well.
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 04, 2022, 07:45:40 PM
Marcus Rashford will further honed his prowess, if he plays at other big clubs such as PSG or Real Madrid.  if he leaves Old Trafford, his career will shine even more. however, what is certain is that until now Ten Hag still desperately need Rashford's services and make him the main starter compared to Ronaldo in the premier league.
some rumors link him with several other big clubs and one of the clubs that are interested in him is PSG, although so I'm not sure Manchester United will let him go. because after all Rashford's contract is still valid until the summer of 2023 at Manchester United.
So far, Rashford is committed to staying loyal to wearing the Red Devil jersey.
There's no reason for PSG or Real Madrid to sign Rashford lol, he's not a popular player and never become a hard carry on Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo have done hard carrying Manchester United last season and make Manchester United qualified for Europa League. Real Madrid are trying to sign Mbappe, they might consider to sign Haaland too, both of them are young strikers that currently are the best center forward. PSG is fan to sign a popular player, just like they currently have Messi, Mbappe and Neymar.
This British player's are simply over hyped and over priced, they earn  whole lot but what they return back to the squad is below standard and Subpar performance.
I don't even give double fvxks if he Marcus Rashford eventually leaves Manchester United. Take a good look at Sadio Mane and Chamberlain when they was both at Liverpool, Sadio contributed more but earned lesser than Chamberlain. Ain't that absurbed ?
I also take good look at Manchester City, more of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, they used less of British player's when they carried the Premier League, I hope Erik Ten Hag follow suits.

Rashford is performing well this season compared to the last one in my opinion. He had only four goals in 25 matches in the last season. But this season he has already 3 goals in 7 matches. And I think that is obviously better compared to the last season. To be honest a much better performance was expected from him even in the last season. But he could not deliver that type of performance. And I see no reason why Real Madrid or PSG should go for this player. They have far better players in that position and there is no need for them to get Rashford.

I do think that some English players are overhyped. But not all of them. Manchester United will just have to take smart decisions.
1849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 03, 2022, 09:49:56 PM
Although bitcoin is a cryptocurrency whose technology and features are superior to that of fiat and gold or other assets, its utility offers and also the privacy that bitcoin has. Have to say these make bitcoin great, well worth using compared to fiat or gold. But honestly, I invest in bitcoin for profit so I wont be able to make profit if bitcoin become stable in price. As an investor I don't want this to happen, I like its high volatility that no other asset class has, the higher the volatility the higher the return. I believe many others will think like me, if bitcoin becomes stable in price then everything will be tasteless.

I really like the approach that Jose Mourinho is taking with Roma. I really don't think anyone expected this type of exemplary performance from Roma. Even though it is a wee bit early to say anything, I think Roma is doing quite well. And in the last match against Inter, they proved that Roma is not just winning through luck. They are actually working really hard. It appears that both the attacking and the defending of Roma are well coordinated. In fact, the arrival of the new coach had worked wonders for them previously, and this season they are just continuing the good work.
Roma and Inter Milan did contributed a great match and a defeat is unfair for Inter Milan. I think a draw would be a fair result for both teams. Anyway, Roma won it and they are showing that in the second position with Mourinho, they are actually becoming stronger than in the past season.
It seems Lautaro Martinez does have very bad form in Inter Milan. More than one month since his last goal for Inter Milan. In yesterday match, he played with very limited contribution and impressive moments
Quote
The difference of points between them and the team in second place is only 1 point. I am expecting a good performance from them in their next match when they will face Lecce at the same time. But they have a match before that against Real Betis in the Europa League. I expect them to win that match as well.
Meeting Lecce will give Roma a chance to climb up more in standing. They are only 4 points less than the first club, Napoli and more important to see Dybala has been playing very well in Roma. He is a core of Roma plan for this season and Spinazzola, Zaniolo will support Dybala well enough with attacking. I see only a big drawback in Roma now. Tammy Abraham does not get his best performance back and Roma actually need his return as soon as possible.

My prediction is that Roma will be victorious in the next match for sure. The goal difference is something that I don't know anything about. Honestly, I don't want it to be a blowout. In spite of this, I believe that the way Roma is playing right now, they should be the ones to win the match. Lecce will aim for a draw in this match, I guess.

There is no doubt that Dybala is in good form right now and I am expecting him to score against Lecce in the next match. As long as Tammy Abraham is able to regain his form soon, he should be able to compete at his highest level, at least while Roma is performing well. I hope he will be able to do well in the next match too. These are the matches which can give confidence to the out-of-form players.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 03, 2022, 12:34:25 PM
Manchester City is not willing to let Haaland go even if Haaland wants to right now, which I think is not likely to happen anyway. Real Madrid wanted to bring Haaland and Mbappe but it feels like they are doing quite well even without them. The credit is due to Benzema. He was in red hot form in the last season. And he also had Vini Jr. alongside him as well. He is a future star for sure.

But I am not sure that Real Madrid will be able to continue the good work with the same squad. Even though it feels like Real Madrid is not performing poorly with the same squad this season I think they are still likely to face some problems in the Champions League. And I honestly think that they are thinking about replacing Benzema.

Real Madrid had a big dream of signing Mbappe and Haaland in the same transfer window and build a dream team after years. But they couldn't sign any of these players. It was already too difficult to sign Mbappe for them after he got an extraordinary contract offer from PSG. He didn't even think twice before signing it. When it comes to Haaland he was a more likely transfer but Manchester City's intervening the race changed everything all of a sudden. They convinced him to play for themselves instead of Real Madrid.

Now I don't think that we would see Haaland signing for Real Madrid or some other team for at least a few years. Until then Manchester City had better take advantage of this situation very well. Their main target is the Champions League title and that's why they did their best to sign Haaland in the first place.  Smiley

2) There are growing rumors of a major European bank going banrupt. Two are the main candidates:

Credit Suisse Is in Deep Trouble

"The No. 2 Swiss bank and one of the largest banks in the world is in deep trouble and is currently fighting for its survival. A negative outcome is likely to cause a shock similar to that caused by the bankruptcy of the U.S. bank Lehman Brothers in September 2008. This event triggered one of the most serious financial and economic crises since the Great Depression."

'Trading Like a Lehman Moment’ — Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank Suffer From Distressed Valuations as the Banks’ Credit Default Insurance Nears 2008 Levels

I also saw this news today, it is flooding on twitter as well as other social networks. Although this is just a rumor and there is no further information yet, if this happens, it will be the most terrible thing in the history of world economics and financials. During the 2007 crisis, the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers led to a domino effect of mass bankruptcies in the financial industry and at that time Lehman Brothers was valued at 600 billion. Currently, the valuation of Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank is estimated at 2800 billion, 4.6 times higher than Lehman Brothers. If both go bankrupt, then it can be said that nothing will be worse for the current economy.

Roma has a new king and that is Mourinho! Fans loves him , city itself loves him and players loves him as well.

AS.Roma did win last night against Inter and they did it without Mourinho being on the bench. Even more than this , he didn't watch the game from his couch or from his home, he watched it from team bus that waited for them after the game.

I really like the approach that Jose Mourinho is taking with Roma. I really don't think anyone expected this type of exemplary performance from Roma. yes that's right, now messi is old and his performance is getting worse of course if Messi returns to Barcelona it will not guarantee that he will be able to make a big contribution.
now Barcelona under Xavi's care slowly has improved. I think they should forget the past and also don't expect Messi to come back better the Barcelona team continues to focus on improving and bringing in or giving birth to other new stars.
it would be better for Barcelona. and I think Messi will realize that too. even if he returns he will not give anything to Barcelona in his current state. it will be a burden on Barcelona's finances, which are currently not improving.
Messi is currently playing for a club that can afford him. he is already a big history for Barcelona. no betrayal I guess. conditions that make Messi have to leave Barcelona. but he will still respect the fans and the club of his past.

The return of Messi is not going to be that beneficial for both parties in my opinion. It's something like people say to never meet your heroes, and we can also say that the Messi era has ended and it's time for Barcelona to build their squad without having him in mind.

When it comes to looking at Barcelona right now compared to a year ago, we can see that they have improved their football under Xavi and are doing a pretty good job right now. It may not be a good idea right now to bring Messi in and put him under pressure, as well as adjust the club's wage budget in order to accommodate him.
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 26, 2022, 02:22:31 PM
IMO, Tottenham deserve to take advantage at home and they should take advantage of this to get maximum points. I don't know if Tottenham can beat Arsenal, but they don't deserve to be doubted this season either.
They are similar in quality and Tottenham players have more experience with big matches than Arsenal players. Additionally, they will have a home stadium and support for fans. Arsenal will have a very difficult match at White Hart Lane.
What are you guys talking about here? The match is in Emirates Stadium. What did I miss? Did they change fixture? I searched Google but didn't see any change.
Arsenal have the advantage of playing at home, and they are the team that is in better form. Arsenal is the favorite in this match. I see the probability of Arsenal winning the match as 50%. We can say that Tottenham is also in great form. Alongside Kane and Son, they play Richarlison or Kulusevski and have an important offensive line. But now Arsenal have a striker like Gabriel Jesus who can change the score at any moment. Martinelli and Saka also boosted their performance. It will be a very close match for sure. Minor differences and perhaps individual errors will determine the score.

Personally, I would like to point out that both Arsenal and Tottenham have really surprised me this season in terms of their performances.
It would have been easy to guess that if someone had asked me, at the beginning of the season, which were the top three teams in the Premier League, I would have said Manchester City and Liverpool without thinking twice about it. However, if you look at what we are working on at the moment, both Arsenal and Tottenham are among the top three teams.

This is going to be a very competitive match with the two teams facing each other. However, I think Arsenal might have the edge in this game, as it will be played at the Emirates stadium, which is where Arsenal are playing.
1858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: September 26, 2022, 02:09:46 PM
I think Brazil are one of the favourite to lift the world cup this year, they have so many talented players in that team, I watch there game against Ghana and I think that team can win the trophy, having vinicius jr and neymar in there is great to watch two players that can break any defence, then their is Richarlison the new Tottenham Hotspur signing he is so strong and skilful with the ball,he scored two goals against Ghana, is not only their attack that is good, there defence has players like thiago Silva, marquanos, militao and Gremer so you see they are covered everywhere.
Actually brazil has many reliable sticker options, not only relying on neymar but brazil still has young attackers who are very dangerous. some of them became key players in their respective clubs. besides richarlison, there are other young strikers who are very talented, i prefer gabriel jesus style of play than richarlison.

Tite benefits from the many players he has in his squad, both strikers, midfielders and defenders. this is an advantage for Tite to be able to win the world cup in Qatar later.
I believe Brazil has a great chance at the World Cup, because they have very complete and talented players in their respective positions.
Brazil's beauty is they have never been depended on one player mostly they have enough quality players those are capable of giving their best and with this mostly in this event they are in list of top four favorite teams because every time they have fair chance for staying in and going up in this event currently mostly peoples are talking about Neymar's quality, but he is not alone they have too many stars like Richarlison who is doing amazing job and have good performance in his last few matches is also good player.

Their biggest advantage is mostly their players have good adjustment in all conditions which give them good benefit right now most of the players are involved in different clubs and giving good performance which is also had good impact on team and their performance in World Cup.

I recently saw in a meme that Brazil has a formation with thousands of attackers.
Actually, that's the truth, in this world cup, maybe they have the most number of 1st-squad-worthy attackers.
For example, Neymar, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Raphinha, and Richarlison all of them can play really good football and are worthy of playing in the first team.
They also have a quite good defense with Silva, Marquinhos, and the TANK Casemiro as defensive midfielders.
Overall, if they can manage the in-game chemistry well enough, I think they are of the contenders that might lift this year's world cup.
1859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in micro cap altcoins? on: September 26, 2022, 04:42:59 AM
@OP Looks like you want to try your luck, in my personal opinion micro cap is a new coin or also assets that have small investors even maybe they can manipulate the price, if you can research well maybe you will get the gem of your dreams. But For now, I personally don't invest in any micro cap because the risks are big, it's also better for me to keep playing safe on top coins.
It's not limited for the new coins only, there have been projects that are quite long already but still don't have that huge cap.
Most of these low cap coins are easily to be manipulated by whales. They'll inject it with around 5 btc and it's going to pump while the whale or pumper of it, will get easy 6 btc or more back within less than a day of pumping.
It's risky and I don't want to try my luck with it because things could happen so fast there and if you're too slow, you're out and funds will easily get lost.

But since there's a tons of micro cap out there probably hundred of thousands coins existing today, It's very hard to spot a coin that whale will manipulate unless you are connected to the group of whale itself that plans this trading scheme to trap small fish money.

This is really risky and sometimes a waste of time because small caps usually slowly die or side ways for a long time since there's no interest on this coin.

This is risky when we invest in microcap projects but if we find a really good enough project its returns are huge. Each has its own pros and cons, it is safer to invest in huge, top projects but the return won't be huge but we expect. Investing in new projects, micro cap, the risk is that you can lose your investment, but in return if you choose the right project, the profit it brings can help you change your position.
Depending on the investment style of each person, microcap projects should not be underestimated and underestimated.

What are you using?

.

I have not used bitcoin core and am using Electrum, I am satisfied with what Electrum delivers. But for the best and safest of your bitcoins, consider using a hardware wallet is essential. May not be 100% secure, but hardware wallets are considered the most perfect solution today.
No matter which wallet you use, your safety still depends on you. Your assets will still be hacked or lost if you cannot take good care of your seed phrases. Therefore, the use of a dedicated wallet is necessary, but whether the assets are safe or not is up to us.
