1521  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: December 02, 2022, 04:32:16 AM
I could assume that everyone knows the reason why Bitcoin is recommended to buy - not I say ONLY.
Altcoins also have potential yet, many investors had wrongly chosen shitcoins which makes us think and generalize that altcoins are scams and useless. That is why I couldn't agree with that...because if that is only the reason, we better not create altcoins in the start if that only happen they are no market value and are worthless investments.

Although not all altcoins are scams or useless, there aren't many altcoins that are as useful or profitable as bitcoin. We have over 20k altcoins of all kinds but as you can see, no more than 10 altcoins are considered as potential as ETH. Another thing is that altcoins have not followed the path that bitcoin has gone, altcoins have become too centralized and therefore, very easily manipulated and turned into scams by humans.
Cryptocurrencies are an open market so we won't be able to stop someone from creating altcoins.
1522  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: December 02, 2022, 04:16:31 AM
There are a whole lots of factors that wouldn't make this come through and as far as I know, paper money isn't fading out anytime soon, electricity and internet supply has been one of the major reasons to why digital currency wouldn't easily phase out paper money anytime soon, same also applies to illiteracy, as there is also a high rate of illiteracy and this alone can really cause a long delay for digital currency to phase out Fiat.
One other thing that will drive the dominance of digital currency is the very rate of recession and inflation and more exposure to digitalization because with the current rate of this recession and inflation, people are now seeking for every means to make more money with minimal effort.

It is true that paper money is not going away anytime soon, but I do not think that it is due to illiteracy, for today there is a very low level of illiteracy. The disadvantage here is that the world population still makes up a large part of the elderly and they have difficulty using the internet, smartphones, and many places are still not exposed to the internet. In addition, for people with disabilities, they will also face difficulties in life without paper money, in many cases not being able to use the internet.

What are the chances of Napoli selling Osimhen in the transfer market.?
Somehow I'm not so sure Napoli will accept the offer that comes in Osimhen, My doubts about this are very basic.

1. Napoli are struggling to get the Scudetto this season.
2. If Napoli releases Osimhen to another club, it will be difficult for the team to find a balance as it is difficult to find a suitable replacement for Osimhen.
3. Napoli form of play will be chaotic if one of its flagship players leaves and it will ruin all the plans that have been neatly laid out since the start of the season.

Napoli need to consider deeply if they want to let Osimhen go, they must be prepared to face all the risks that might occur as a result of preferring money rather than retaining players who can help them win the Serie A trophy.
napoli don't have to change anything in their structure if they want to win
he doesn't have to sell anyone, on the contrary he has to buy someone and let him play and integrate into the team otherwise if someone gets hurt he risks a lot
for now it's a magical moment for them

There is no need for Napoli to sell Osimhen. He is the most prolific scorer for them right now. They will be making a very big mistake if they decide to sell him right now. Currently, Napoli doesn't seem to be having too many problems either attacking or defending. If anything I think they should keep all the players that they have right now in the team, and bring in a capable midfielder. So that Osimhen and other attackers are provided with better balls.

Bringing in a midfielder is going to increase the stability of the team as well. However, even if they don't make any changes to the team, it is still good. But they really shouldn't sell anyone.

Scotland is like the top team in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, so no one really expected Namibia to win this match. Oman has 44 points now, and Scotland is right behind them with 42. And the catch here is that Oman has completed all their matches, while Scotland still has a total of 7 matches remaining. Namibia has a chance to overtake the United States. US has completed all their matches and they have 35 points, while Namibia is having 32 points with 9 matches to go. Should be easy for them to go to no.3.
I just check ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 table, and it's creating good confusion for the peoples those are having good knowledge of cricket as well because things are not clear with table is having big mess up few teams are already having 36 matches and many are having 20, 26 and 28 which mean these teams needs good time for the completely remaining part how they are doing and what is prospect of this all surely not positive things are happening around ICC which is the most crap sports organization around the world.

Only seven teams are involved in this process and from these someone is going to be in League 1 not clear, but they need to be more attractive for things like these from here they need to do something like Tier system which helps these teams like first tier have 12 teams than second have 8 and then tier 3 also with 8 hopefully with this we will move in better position and teams will do better work as funds also needs to go with this system as well.

I am quite sure that the way Scotland is playing right now, they should easily be able to overtake Oman on the table. USA has finished all of their matches. So they are not overtaking anyone anymore. But I have to say I expected better from Nepal. Nepal does have a lot of matches left. But I really do not know if they will be able to improve their position on the table. And of course, there is no hope for Papua New Guinea. If UAE has a certain drop in their performance and Nepal can somehow improve, I think Nepal has a chance to at least get ahead of UAE on the table.

@Sithara007, the link of the table is given below for your convenience:

I do not think that they will be able to finish in the fifth position. Because I think Dortmund is bound to get ahead of them.
Behind 7 points from Bayern Munich as first standing position right now I don't think with Union Berlin opportunity back to the top standing position after inconsistency performance last several matches, have good started and ever managed with 1st standing position right now Union Berlin have out until 5th standing placed. Current standing right now have little points left between above and under team position standing, I sure if can't consistency Union Berlin loss opportunity existing in 5th standing position awhile because Dortmund one position under Union Berlin remaining two points.

Two defeats in the last three matches with crushing score from Bayern Leverkusen 5-0 and also Freiburg 4-1 seemed to be bad moment for Union Berlin able to maintain its position in the top 4 of the Bundesliga.

We have seen a lot of teams across the different leagues showing some surprising results at the start of the season. But as days pass by teams that are weaker start to perform worse and worse. Therefore, they end up near the middle of the table at the end of the season. I think that is what is going to happen with Union Berlin. They started the season well. But they are not being able to perform well when it matters which is basically throughout the whole season. I am honestly going to be surprised if they actually end up in the top four. Because I believe that there are other teams that are stronger compared to them. The points difference between the teams ahead of Union Berlin is not very big though. So, I think there will still be hope.
1526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: December 01, 2022, 01:27:24 PM
What has happened with FTX is just another kind of thing you see in the crypto industry every year though it's kinda big because of their influence, events such as this one only give investors lessons so that they will be aware of it in the future and they can use it to prevent the same thing will happen to them in the future. As for the continued development in the other companies that are crypto-related, this is also expected because they already know that crypto is way bigger than a fraud exchange like FTX and they won't really jeopardize their opportunity to develop and update their product with crypto, just by seeing FTX failed their investors.

Admittedly, the crash of FTX has a negative impact on bitcoin as well as the entire market but in the end, FTX is only a part and very small compared to the entire crypto ecosystem. The collapse of FTX can only affect but not prove or judge that cryptocurrency cannot survive even if it's not FTX, it's binance or coinbase can't kill the market, they are just part of the market. Without that exchange, the market still exists and develops.
1527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins safe? on: December 01, 2022, 01:16:52 PM
Most of my stablecoins are in BUSD since I am more active in BSC-related projects, but they are in my non-custodial wallet. Will be transferring most of them in Ledger Nano S to be truly safe from getting siphoned by the hacker in the future if I am encountering another malware without knowing.

Since these stablecoins like USDT and BUSD are centralized, so they can just freeze it anytime. DAI could be a great option for stablecoin, but it might change in the future if possible like the case of Ethereum from PoW to PoS.
Centralized projects mostly have bad ends. We can't hide the huge impact of Luna in the market making many investors worry that any of these days another Stablecoin and a centralized project will follow. Of course, USDT and BUSD still gain trust among stablecoins in the market but we should still be careful as we never know exactly what is their plan.

I can be honest myself that I lose trust in any of them, might it will change in the future but in this current situation, I consider investing in them to be at high risk.

I don't fear USDT or BUSD will die like UST, as they are both called stablecoins but they are completely different. UST is an algorithmically stable coin and they obviously cannot be called stable when backed by bitcoin or altcoins as both are highly volatile so losing the peg is inevitable. But the other 2 stablecoins are backed by USD with a ratio of 1:1 so it is very difficult to crash like UST, but the risk of holding these coins is not different from altcoins, they are centralized so they can be frozen at any time.

If Union Berlin are among the top 9 teams at the end of the season, then they can really be proud of themselves. With the international competition they have another big task. If certain players drop out, then they have difficulties filling that spot. Their squad is not yet so big that they are a candidate for the top 5. But if they keep going the way something big will come out of it.
They have lost a lot of points in the last weeks, which is not very good for them. But I think they can go back to their old performance when the matches start again. Even though they don't have a very good squad, they are playing very well and are in a pretty good place in the league.
When all the players in the team are able to take the field, I think they can be one of the best teams in the league again.
If they continue like this, they can finish the league in the top 5 teams Smiley

First of all, I do not think Union Berlin will be able to continue performing as they did at the start of the season. And they are also not going to improve in my opinion. In addition, they are also not going to be able to turn back to their own performance which they showed at the start of the season. At least based on their recent performances, this does not appear to be the case. And I think most of us know that if they somehow start performing badly, they will not be strong enough to recover.

I do not think that they will be able to finish in the fifth position. Because I think Dortmund is bound to get ahead of them.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 30, 2022, 09:19:20 PM
AC. Milan can be a very good place for him. This club is always at the top of competitive football. So, he will be able to get exposure at the top level. But he should only go if he is going to get a good amount of blood time in Milan.
I haven't heard of Ac milan being interested in him, or maybe you are just giving your own suggestions on suitable places for him, which is fine, Ac milan won't be a bad option, they won their league last season, and this season they are in the round of 16 of the champions league, the team is doing good, they are bringing back the old years, they can't fully bring it back, but they can try. Ziyech is a good player, but i don't even think Ac milan would be interested in him, they have good attackers already, and Ziyech has not really show his quality at club level for months now. If Ziyech wants to get playing time, he should move to a small club for now and try to perform well and make himself attractive again to the big teams. If he moves to a big club right now he would not still get time to play frequently.

I am hearing that Tottenham is interested in Hakim Ziyech right now. I don’t know if that is going to happen. Tottenham is not going to be a better option as well. Personally, I do not think that Hakim Ziyech is going to be interested in going to AC Milan. Especially if he is Shown even a little bit of interest by Tottenham. It is better for a player like him to play in the Champions League instead of playing in the Italian league. At least that’s what I think is going to happen. But if he does go to a top team like Tottenham in the English Premier League, he might not get the starting role in every match that he is after right now.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 30, 2022, 06:44:27 PM
Pulisic will give Gabriel Martineli some level of competition and also serve as a good depth especially in that area the left wing.
Erik Ten Hag should not bring him though, I love his space and they are vital for the modern kind of football Ten Hag wants to implement at United.
Manchester united do not need him and I don't think he will consider going to Manchester United were the competition for who makes first eleven to start play games will be high, Manchester United has Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Fred, Elanga etc, Arsenal on the other hand, we need reinforcement for our key players and Pulisic can be that guy. I think Arsenal will be a great option for him.

Manchester United have Gakpo who is currently ranking as one of the world's cup highest goal scorer currently as top on their list, Arsenal and Liverpool are also rumored to be interested in him as well, but a problem is that his current team PSV are not very willing to sell in January, more money will definitely change their minds especially now that his market value has increased.

source

Gabriel Martinelli is a player who can play in both midfield and the winger position. I would prefer to see him playing as a left winger. I actually think that Manchester United needs him. But obviously, if they were to get any player who would be better than him, I think it would make a great deal of difference to them. Having said that, it will be very difficult for Manchester United to attract better players in the near future.

We are talking about Gakpo. But the thing is he is being pursued by a lot of other teams. So, it will be hard for Manchester United to get him. Especially when teams like Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in him. I think Arsenal will be able to get him if they want to because Arsenal are currently at the top of the table.

India VS Newzealand T20 & ODI series winner is RAIN!
I was expecting the rain to interfere once again. But I was not expecting it to stay and abandoned the match. One and half day of T20 series was lost due to rain and now the same for ODI. It is pity that you wait for a series and it gets destroyed due to the weather as organizers never bothered to look into weather prediction.
2-0 was loading today but the way kiwi openers were batting, i was more worried about another 220/0 opposition scorecard lol.

Anyway, it's nice to lose a bilateral series for a change as the Indian team is a bilateral bully and shit their bed in the ICC tourney. Need some serious reality checks in the ODI squad before WC.

This was surely going to be a New Zealand win. New Zealand is going to feel like they got robbed from a win. But honestly, I think they are going to be happy with the series' win. From this series, we can easily see that rain has become a big problem for cricket. And end right at this moment, there are not many ways to fix this problem as well. I really wish we could have seen a fair result. This whole series regardless of the formats has not been fair to both teams in my opinion.

I do not know why India is so scared to make some changes because they haven’t got enough players in the pipeline waiting for a chance. But they are just not giving those players chances to prove themselves. Those reality checks that you were talking about are certainly going to hurt India for a short period of time at the start. But eventually, it is going to be good for India in the long run.

It is such a shame that Juventus are having a similar scenario after so many years. The supporters must be in shock now for certain. Everything started to be going good in the Serie A recently actually but this is a huge disappointment now. This crisis might be related to the Ronaldo transfer as well. Because we all remember how much money they spent to sign him and to pay his salary. This must be one of the reasons of a financial crisis in the team. I believe there is a financial crisis now otherwise I don't have any idea about what could be the main reason of this.

But I just don't understand how a team like Juventus can easily be on the brink of even relegating from the Serie A now. In the end, many teams have faced difficulties in covid-19 period financially. Besides they have also spent so much money as well. For example, Inter also have had financial problems but they didn't need to face with a threat like this.

Hakim Ziyech has to make up his mind because wherever he goes, he will have to move if he has a 100% chance of being a regular player in that club. But even though I said that he will also have to go to a club in which he will be able to grow as a player. So that he can hone his abilities.

AC. Milan can be a very good place for him. This club is always at the top of competitive football. So, he will be able to get exposure at the top level. But he should only go if he is going to get a good amount of blood time in Milan.
1534  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Satoshi a Russian? on: November 30, 2022, 04:36:13 AM
I think you forgot to add some important information in your OP, one factor to be considered is that Russian local board was the first local board on bitcointalk. Which means they have been around for the longest time, and also considering their affinity for speaking their own language in IRL and on every online platform. Other local boards That alone is enough reason for their local board to be more active over the years than the others in the forum.

Thank you for adding an exciting piece of information about the forum that I didn't know about before. OP's findings are commendable but unfortunately 2 pieces of evidence are not convincing enough that Satoshi is Russian, if he has some activity in the local boards of Russia, we will have more convincing evidence.
But in the end, we didn't have any clue about his identity, and I found that to be a great thing. I don't know what people think but for me, his anonymity is the right thing and good for bitcoin, him and all of us.
1535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: thank god for bringing btc back in 2018. on: November 30, 2022, 04:10:20 AM
I do not think we should be happy with decrease in bitcoin prices just because it allows us to buy more bitcoins. This is because of two reasons:

1)  If there is drastic fall in price of bitcoin, it will affect the trust of users on bitcoin. From 60k , now it is at 20k. How will it look like to a new investor. He will think that there is so much volatility and thus it is not a good thing. Thus it will make new investors go away from bitcoin and they will never invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin adoption will be affected because of this.

2) Let us now think of current investors. Current investors who have invested at high levels will also feel demotivated when they see drastic fall in price of bitcoin. They will also feel like quitting bitcoin investment and will leave this field for ever. It will also result in reduced bitcoin adoption thought the world.

1. Trust is in the community and does not need to be approved by anyone.
2. Current investors need to do more research on the philosophy of BTC mining and they are going to be very eager to invest and create wonderful things not just speculate their fiat with inequality
You're right.

@krishnaverma: If you are not a believer in bitcoin then you can leave the market, as bitcoin does not need to keep people who have no belief in it as well. Those who don't have enough faith, those who don't try their best, don't deserve the rewards. Bitcoin is just a vehicle, price movements are caused by human behavior, and you cannot expect everyone to win in the market. Money cannot be created by itself, it is transferred from the weak hand to the diamond hand.
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching my nephew about Bitcoin on: November 30, 2022, 03:40:50 AM
It doesn't matter how old someone is, there's absolutely nothing wrong with teaching a young kid about bitcoin, whether they are five years old for fifteen.  I think one of the biggest issues with the school system and young children is not teaching them more real world things and not doing so early enough.  Teaching young kids about finance from an early age is likely to put them ahead of most for when the time to discuss it comes, or ever does.  This is real world practical education.

There is nothing wrong with the OP teaching his nephew about bitcoin, but he should consider when is the best time for him to absorb and promote it effectively. If they are too young and not ready, no matter how much you teach them, it will be of no use or he doesn't like bitcoin, you can't force it, nor should we impose our thoughts on others, it's good for us but not necessarily good for others.

Bitcoin is only a small part of the financial industry, if teaching them about finance includes investing, finding opportunities as well as managing risk, that is another story.

1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or altcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 08:42:19 AM
Leaving sentiments asides, will you advise someone to still buy some Bitcoins (Not up to the value of 1)  if they have an amount of money that will be okay to purchase the equivalent of 1 of a good altcoin with a strong community? Is having some bitcoins (in decimals) more valuable still than having the value of one good altcoin?

When you buy any property or something, you need to look at its quality not quantity, more quantity doesn't mean it will bring you more value. bitcoin and altcoins too, there can still be many useful altcoins but for comparison there aren't any comparable altcoins to bitcoin at the moment. It's also important that once you've decided that giving someone advice means they're trusting you, you should give them the best advice as well and in this market bitcoin is number one.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 27, 2022, 08:31:51 PM
Where does anyone get the idea that Real is not among the favorites to win the Champions League?
Also, why do you think Real were only favorites when Ronaldo played for them? In my opinion, Benzema replaced him very well.
Benzema replace Ronaldo very well? That's funny, how many champions league were Real Madrid able to win with Benzema after the departure of Christino Ronaldo. When Ronaldo leaves your club you can hardly replace him as he's irreplaceable. Since Ronaldo departure from Manchester united (the first time) Manchester united has found it impossible for him to be replaced and same can be said about other clubs he has played for. Sure you can get another player that'll bring his style of play to the team but not a Ronaldo replacement.

I don't think we can ever see a player as Ronaldo again, his mentality, dedication and determination he brings into games are out of this world. I have no doubt that Benzema has been good for Real Madrid but for how many seasons? This is what makes Ronaldo stand out from the crowd. You can't compare Ronaldo's Real Madrid era with that of Benzema, that's just disrespect on CR7.

There are a lot of people who are generally confused about the style of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. There is no doubt that Lionel Messi has a natural talent for football. Similarly to Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo also has natural talent, but it is not the same as Messi. Cristiano Ronaldo has become Cristiano Ronaldo by working very very diligently. His dedication and work has made him a better player. Moreover, it is very difficult to find a place that has the kind of dedication and dedication. And now people are not keeping him just because he is old.

No way Karim Benzema can match or has ever matched the era that Cristiano Ronaldo had with Real Madrid. I also agree that this is just straight disrespect.
1540  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can Binance also get bankrupt soon? on: November 27, 2022, 05:52:39 AM
I am more concerned about CZ's role in the collapse, which some have described as a betrayal. My only hope is that binance will not be the next target as the top exchange. After withdrawing from the exchange to aid the collapse, he now appeared to be interested in acquiring it. Several months ago, you made over 2 billion dollars on the same exchange. Due to Bankman's association with top American politics, I'm wary about revenge on the Binance as a Chinese exchange companies that seem to dominate the same industry.
While he has a role in all of this we cannot completely blame him for what happened, SBF has taken some moves against him on the past and CZ decided to return the courtesy, the difference is that binance was a solid institution while FTX was not, so it collapsed after what CZ did, however we cannot really put too much blame on him because even if he did nothing then a collapse of the FTX exchange would have happened anyway at some point in the future.

CZ was not the one who initiated the collapse of FTX, coindesk was the first to publicize the audit report of FTX with many holes when most of the reserve assets were FTT. I don't see this as retaliation or unfair competition, if FTX had enough reserves as they claim they wouldn't have a problem with FTT being dumped. The FTX bomb is a bomb that will explode sooner or later and I feel fortunate that it is detected early, the longer it is, the more severe the consequences.
