1842  Other / Archival / Re: Earning "free" bitcoins on: February 13, 2017, 11:09:30 PM
free bitcoin nowadays is almost impossible. even with faucets, as network fees are more expensive as what you get with the faucet. better work to earn some btc, will be much faster, but costs ...ehm.. work.

For the far majority of the people living in well developed countries earning through faucets is nothing more than a waste of time, but that's not really the case when it comes to people from third world countries. If you look at how many faucets there are, how many Bitcoin related apps/games that allow you to earn Bitcoin, then with enough time you can generate like $1 worth of Bitcoin per day. If you farm your way up, then you could easily end up earning $2-$3 per day. It's basically much needed food money for them.

Lol i doubt you can earn $2  per day on faucet.  In the third world country it is still a waste of time, unless you just side task it while doing your main job on the internet.  Where would you go with 100 satoshi per fauct? others lesser than that.  How may 100 satoshi do you need to fill up 0.001 BTC? you need to visit 1,000 site but as I said not all can give you 100 satoshi.  Then comes the transaction fee lol.
1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's talk about poker! on: February 13, 2017, 10:41:38 PM
Is poker a game of skill, or a game of chance? Many times asked question, no one can agree on what a game of poker is. There is studies and court decisions regarding the skill / chance debate, there is couple endless threads on this forum too. But I don't wish to open that discussion again.

this is one of those questions that people are never going to come to a conclusion on. i however believe it is so simple, it is a combination of both and the result is only depending on the skills. you have to be lucky to get a good card but it is your skills in the end that is going to save you.

Quote
For beginning I wish to ask where are you playing, and can we meet on some site?
I like to play on betcoin.ag, cash game on tables 0.05/0.1 and 0.1/0.25 mbtc. Tournaments are also something I like to play, but just when I have time to sit few hours freely, what is rarely in past few weeks.

My nickname there is Underworld.

to be honest i have tried many online poker games, but i always end up disliking all of them.
i prefer the actual game of poker face to face with my friends.

Well I can relate on what you had said a bit more of it. Because in online games in poker, you cannot do bluffing with your opponents unlike in the actual game of poker face to face you can see their face reaction when you are using bluffing strategy, even you have a bad card hold it. This might most often happened in the midst of the games together with skills and brain.

Actually there are online poker where you are competing against other player.  Bluffing is not only shown on the words or makeface,  they are actually strongly shown on the chips/bet if you raise or fold or all in.  Bluff is like going all in even if you have an inferior card in hand.
1844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: February 13, 2017, 10:11:57 PM
When I have a decent sized win I normally take 50% of the profit and invest it into Alts that I think will make me a return in the long term. That is how I have built up a nice Altcoin portfolio when I win big, the rest I add towards my bankroll so that I can continue to keep betting even if I have a couple of bad days in a row like i have been having betting on the NBA.

I do the same just to make sure I have a win whenever I take out my bankroll.  I have an attitude of withdrawing the bankroll if it gets 2x taking the 50% profit with the withdrawn bankroll.  This way I can still play, while preserving 50% of my win.
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🔴 ICOBID PLATFORM RELEASED 🌟🔴 GREAT REWARD 🌟🔴 HOLDING FOR REVENUE SHARE on: February 13, 2017, 09:47:30 PM
hate this coin since the window wallet get some error..
1k ICOB has gone, fuck  Angry
I didn't encounter any error in windows wallet. What's exactly the error? I think you should have mentioned so that we'll know and see. Didn't you save a back up of your wallet.dat? As far as I know even the wallet has an error your coins won't be gone if you have the wallet.dat file in you.

The windows wallet is working perfectly and i am staking it and it is running good, if you can encounter what problem you are facing so that we can help you, if you have lost the 1k coin then dont worry first tell me what is your problem i will help you in recovering your coin if not possible i will send you 1k coin.

I can also confirm that wallet is running fine.  I have a beautiful stakes of ICOBID that I bought at around 22 sats Cheesy  Yum!  If the time come ICOBID goes up even at least 220, I can say,  I can buy me a new unit of High End Personal Computer, so I can just wait until this price is reached by ICOBID.
1846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: February 13, 2017, 09:21:06 PM
maybe... But btc is famous because of its wavy motions. If you just hold your btcs doing nothing, you may not gain enough. Its better to try some exchanges / trades etc
Technically what you are saying is wrong. If you currently see the price it has increased from 700$ to 1000$ in just 1-2 months. So you still think that in the future the price won't go up??
I would recommend all the people who currently have btc to hold it and not sell it because it has lot's of potential in the coming months.
I think you are right to some extent that the beauty of the bitcoin is that its price is not fixed and most of the time its price jumps to the next level. That’s the main reason most of the investors are interested in adopting bitcoins then it is obviously a good way to make more money by simply saving it some longer haul. No doubts on it.

We can also consider several funds coming in to bitcoin for the increase in price.  Like what is scheduled next month, the decision about the ETF, I hope it is approved so that Bitcoin will have another batch of fresh funds to come in.
1847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: February 12, 2017, 11:10:48 PM
i am gonna make withdraw and send it into the exchange which i can use it to sell in fiat and then i will use it to buy bitcoin when i see the price is lower. i am prefer to withdraw into my bank account if i can have more than $30 in my exchange account so i can reduce the fee for withdraw.
i think that is a great idea on managing your winnings or profits but i dont win really much on these gambling especially when i am mad. I just win a small amout really like .0000010, something like that because in online gambling, i just use faucets and free rolls.

Lol i think instead of thinking on what you will do with your winnings, you need to manage your emotion first.  If you are successful with managing your emotion then managing money will be much easier for you to do Smiley
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you beat the house edge on: February 12, 2017, 10:55:42 PM
maybe gambler never can beat house edge only in online casino.
Need not to be true.
It always too hard to beat the house edge in all type of casinos when are competing against house (unless it is a player vs player environment). If you are able to beat them consistently, in long run houses will go bankrupted.
I never heard there is any gambler can winning big in casino online even though there is who can win huge amout it's from lottery or slot machine. yeah maybe we have think hard to beat the house edge but I think in casino online we against system and i'm sure everything is already set by the system.

Their are some big whales who have beat the house edge and won big high but that was due to they just played some bets with all in and as soon as they won they withdrawn it and never turned back, other then that i dont think that anyone was able to win against the house edge on long term.

Well it is a matter of timing.  If you timed your quitting during the winning streak, you definitely beat the house edge and exit with a win. But if you get greed and keep on playing, eventually  you will lose all the winnings including your bankroll or worst, you make several deposit more just to beat the house lol.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most popular bitcoin gambling games? on: February 12, 2017, 10:07:36 PM
Nothing is more popular than Dice. Everyone had already played it because you don't need a skil to play dice, all you need is btc and the mouse to click whether <49 or 50>. Nothing special about the game but it can give you the good money if its your lucky day. I use to just try to earn from faucets and withdraw just to play dice.

Another popular one is betting onto sports like basketball and boxing. Its all about just looking over to the skills of the players and bet. No skills needed too.

Well i can't disagree that Dice is the most popular, but sports betting is getting popular each day.  I think it will beat Dice as the most popular gambling game online, aside from that i cannot think of any other else, maybe slots is also popular.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Supertition on: February 11, 2017, 09:14:19 PM
I am not supertitious.  I just dwell on fact and reasons.  So whenever I gamble I just play.  I do not have any ceremonies before playing. I believe nothing will affect the outcome of the rule because it is pure chance.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: February 10, 2017, 06:40:45 PM
I think investing is more risky than gambling because most of investing websites are just scam, but in gambling you have better chances to make your bitcoin grow. How about you guys what do you think?

Investment is not investing on websites which promise you much more in less time, they are not investing platforms but they are scams and they come to loot the markets. In place of investing in these sites a person should rather gamble the funds away because they may win something in there but they won't get anything from those sites.

Lol why would I gamble in a casino when I cannot afford this fund to lose.  I would rather use the fund to setup my business, a direct selling or a buy and sell maybe.  This two are proven to be one of the thing that gives a businessman a good earnings.  Aside from that, this is not as difficult and as risky as trading stocks in a platform.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: February 08, 2017, 11:37:54 PM
Slot games are attractive and very interesting.  But the fact tha it is very difficult to win with them, I always evade it.  Yes I do not like slots because of the slim chance of winning.  I would rather play dice the whole day than play slots.
1853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this man addicted to gambling? on: February 08, 2017, 10:49:02 PM
If he can stop when he wants and it didn't makes changes on his life i would say that he isn't addicted. Playing poker is time consuming like if you play video games or you make big puzzles. In my opinion the addiction don't depends on investing money or doing free hands, it is when you stop doing things because you use more time to play (and you need to play everyday).

Yes the person does not look like addicted to gambling.  Maybe he find it as a hobby the reason why he do it regularly.  I also cannot see any indication of control disorder since he can stop anytime he wanted.  Aside from that he does not create a negative interaction within his circle of friends or family.
1854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: February 08, 2017, 10:27:24 PM
Honestly I really don't think whenever I roll on dice.  Why would I think of something that rely on pure luck. I just pick whatever I click and roll the dice.  Martingale will do the issue for me.  Yes I am using that system just to get back the money I lost from rolling in one win.  Pretty convenient but have high risk of depleting my bankroll fast LOL.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's talk about poker! on: February 08, 2017, 10:05:42 PM
Honestly you doesnt need to learn or have a skill for win, there is only need luck and smart in exploiting the situation, i bet if in previous you ever play poker , there is a moment you win with only have big card.

But well there are also lots of instances where the one with the "big card" or better cards loses, this is called bad beat, though I admit that this is also affected by luck but the skill of the player influence the opponent with a better card to lose focus and get emotional making the guy to make a poor decision.
1856  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the usual PBOC bullshit routine. Uptrend continues. on: February 08, 2017, 09:22:46 PM
PBOC seems to be bothered when ever the price starts to go up as it trying to avoid been put under the knife from the international community for not regulating btc  that's why it needs exchangers to be  in check with the currency.
I believe with all this publicity bitcoin is getting a platform to grow MORE!!

Well PBOC always used this kind of tactics whenever a good incline in price of Bitcoin is seen.  It happen several times so I guess it is obvious that people are now having a resistance to PBOC  bad press towards Bitcoin.  Which has been shown in the uptrend price of Bitcoin this past weeks.
1857  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value is returned to 1000$ again on: February 08, 2017, 08:55:31 PM
I think speculators are hoping that the SEC approves the Winklevoss ETF. If it happens bitcoin will soar. If they decline, we might fall back to about $800.
And thats what im worrying about. If they decline bitcoin will fall instantly ,just pray that sec will approve etf. If that happens prepare yourself for another ride into the moon.

Yeah it was said that the approval of Winklevoss ETF will get fresh investors and there is hundreds of million of dollars will enter Bitcoin economy, this might be the reason why several people are buying Bitcoin now for the hopes that the ETF will be approved and Bitcoin price skyrocketed.
1858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no "proper" price for bitcoin on: February 08, 2017, 06:24:36 PM
There is no right time to buy bitcoins because we always hope that the price will become cheaper but then we see that suddenly the price gets higher and higher, the current price is high but it may be low if we think after few years.

On the contrary we can say that it is always the right time to buy bitcoin because Bitcoin price might increase in price tomorrow or the next day, who knows.  Applying the same logic, meaning it can be the best time to buy or the worst time to buy, but eventually the right time to buy depends on the person on how much he needs to have a hold of Bitcoin. Smiley
1859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet Address and Payment doubt. on: February 08, 2017, 05:38:00 PM
I have a question.
Whenever I receive payment , my wallet address changes.
So I wanted to ask , wheather I would still receive payment if someone sends me money on my old wallet address?
If yes , then is there any limit as to how many payments I can receive on my old wallet address or can I receive how much ever payment I keep getting?
I'm just asking as I don't wanna loose money.
Please be helpful.
Thank you

though address changes after each received Bitcoin, but you can still use the old address for the next payment, no need to change the address

I think you need a stable wallet address, or you need to have a new wallet address, because, you cannot trust your wallet address. Everything you have gone through, will also gone through, all your efforts exerted will lose. Better to have a new wallet address or new application or site for your wallet address

As op writes he using wallet from blockchain therefore I will not doubt their stability. Because I think they are very stable and good among the others so we do not have to doubt it.
Op I think this could be the answer to your problem, I got it from google. thanks for google .
https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/210353663-Why-is-my-bitcoin-address-changing-

I have this worries too since I am using electrum wallet, each time I check the receive address my address changed and I am wondering why it is so, with your link now I understand how electrum wallet work and the reason why it is changing address everytime I checked the received address  after I received a payment and needed to send another address to other person for the another payment.

1860  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Bitcoin start to price increase? on: February 07, 2017, 11:45:45 PM
Bitcoin's value is constantly increasing. Why is the price of bitcoin increasing over time?

Its because bitcoin user is becoming more and more so the price will increase and that reasons is in a country that accepts bitcoin like United States they really know what's up on bitcoin so they buy some and then the creator or the monitor of the bitcoin will increase the price because business is business Cheesy by the time comes bitcoin will increase more and more then the user of bitcoin will be rich like us Cheesy

Well actually, the price is not only based on the users on bitcoin but also the activities done by it, that's why the value of bitcoin still increasingly. As the years goes by, maybe bitcoin would become the most popular cryptocurrency since there are many users used it, the price would increase 2x form the last years and become famous to the world. We are very close and hope it would really happen, no harm to wait

I agree that bitcoin price is not base on users but on the investors demand. Bitcoin is still in speculative phase where the price is driven by investors speculation.  I think the activity has nothing to do with it, it just fuel the speculation of traders and the speculation will push the price since demand will increase.
