1881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hshare(HSR) and Hcash on: May 08, 2018, 01:29:29 PM
Should stay away, 110 GH/s for total hashrate, and only small rate on well known pools. It's kind of solo mined by who ?

The owner himself and his friend running a huge farm  ?

I think it's mostely mined from Asia.
I wanted to keep a small amount in my Ledger Nano so I managed to mine it from a Chinese pool: hcash.globalpool.cc
I got a few coins which I plan to save for the long term and then stopped mining, I don't think it's profitable for mining.
1882  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Shipping Goods With a Forwarder, When a Country is Not Supported on: May 08, 2018, 01:10:16 PM
It's weird that Alzashop doesn't ship to Greece when it does to so many other EU countries.

I've used forwarding services from the US to the UK without any problems. US-UK is complicated with taxes and estimating postage. EU ones will be a lot less hassle but they all seem to choose the most expensive couriers like DHL and Fedex for some reason.

https://mygermany.com/

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/mygermany.com

seems to have good reviews and gives you a German address. They ship to Greece too.

Sometimes the complicated and not-so-well-regulated tax regulations in Greece forces companies not to bother. At least that's what one representatives of Overclockers UK shop told me. Those guys ship to Cyprus but not in Greece so I was like "WTH?!".

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll look into them.

UPDATE: I tried their calculator with dummy data and the price seems fair. A 27" monitor which is sold for 700€ and which I calculated to be about 5kg, also insured for 500€, would cost me 30€ with DHL (not delivered to my door I think but that's ok). I'll wait for the crypto prices to hit new highes and by then, I'll probably find a monitor with 2k, 144hz, Gsync and HDR to buy! Grin
1883  Other / Beginners & Help / Shipping Goods With a Forwarder, When a Country is Not Supported on: May 08, 2018, 12:18:02 PM
So there's this awesome eshop: AlzaShop.com which accepts bitcoin and litecoin as payments, however they do not ship in my country (Greece).

I know there are some ways to deliver the items to a forwarder of a supported country who will then send me the items. Since I haven't ever tried doing this, I was wondering if someone has tried it and would be willing to share his/her experience with one such company.
1884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Transfer My Entire Savings to Cryptocurrencies? on: May 08, 2018, 11:49:08 AM
Since the OP hasn't replied here for a long time, I suppose he made his decision. I like this subject though and I'd like to offer my two cents.

The biggest enemy of every investor in my opinion is himself/herself. If you can't control your psychological pressure of your savings going for a rollercoaster run, then you'll most likely sell because of discouragement or dismay, see the market imotion cyrcle bellow,

So I ask, can you stay calm if you have the 100% of your savings in one place? Especially if you're trading on margin and you can lose 100% of your investement.

Another thing that is probably not though of in the case described by the OP is the tax.
If someone was to liquify a bit amount of stocks, then the earnings must be reported and there'll be tax on the end of the year. The law is different for every country and you might be able to pay less tax or none at all for small withdraws distributed between different years. But if you withdraw all your earnings from the stock market to your bank and then send them to a crypto exchange, keep some money to your bank for the tax payment.

Does Delegate monitor our account transactions step by step, like if someone withdrawal and deposit at end moment

I've checked at least my own delegate and in his site he's scanning his voters' balance about 4 times per day. So I suppose he averages the balance for the day before the payment.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: May 07, 2018, 07:53:41 AM
I'm so fed up with the zpool and zergpool autoexchange pools, they seem to steal me no matter what settings I use.
Yet MPH doesn't offer enough algos. Without x17, c11, x16r and x16s I lose out on some of my strongest algos.

Since your pool seems to be stable, shouldn't you focus on expanding?
1887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ZERGPOOL.com - NEW!Multialgo, autoexchange, 0.5% fee, 180+ coins on: May 06, 2018, 08:33:33 AM
I too had 30+ BSD and didn't get paid on Sunday.  Roll Eyes

Atm 49 BSD... Sad

The pool is short of bitsend by 80.  Once it finds more blocks the payouts will happen.  Since we haven't hit a block in 5 days I'd say you're best off mining for something else for the time being.

"Accounts with no mining activity for 3 months are purged - this is done as part of clean up activities to keep health of the pool"

What happens if I don't get my funds within 3 months?

They don't say "accounts that haven't been paid in 3 month", but accounts with no mining activity.
Even if you're mining with a single card 3 hours per day (I don't see any other reason that you wouldn't get paid within 3 months), your account is active. Even if you mine 1 hour per week, you'll get paid after a year or two.

I like that web design very much! Smooth and simple but also with style.
Makes me hopeful for the not-yet-seen functionality.

That was a nice read, the priorities of the team find me in agreement, but where is your source? I'd like to merit you but I want to make sure this Q&A was real.

Καλά εδώ δεν καταφέρνει αυτό το κράτος να πιάσει όσους φοροδιαφεύγουν με πειραγμένες ταμιακές, θα hackαρει μήπως το blockchain του monero για να βρει τους Έλληνες με αδήλωτα νομίσματα ή θα ελέγξει τις καταναλώσεις ρεύματος για να πιάσει τους miners;

There have been several updates on Facebook today. Apparently they are experiencing some technical problems with the App (earlier today they had posted about the new tech updates to the app).

Posted around 2:30 pm forum time:
"Tech updates to App- V2.4.2
Your Mobile Miner has new functions; we have new visual notifications on your wallet progress. See the following for more information on how your wallet will update you on the progress of your Mobile Miner payouts:" (I was unable to post the images, so here is the link to the post: https://www.facebook.com/electroneum/posts/1993455274249774)

Posted around 8:30 pm forum time:
"Hi, We are experiencing a technical problem with our new Android app. The new notification system is falling over in some instances and it's causing people to stop mining. Our tech team are working on it and are confident they can fix it from our server side. Please bear with us and we'll have everyone back up and running as fast as possible. Thanks for your patience." (link to the post: https://www.facebook.com/electroneum/posts/1993600810901887)

It's just bad that they always roll out updates without testing them, and after the update is made public, within a few hours, they apologize and ask for our patience.

It just keeps on happening, every time.

BTW, does anybody have any idea at all that from what fund (or from what ETN reserves) they're rolling out the mobile mining payouts, since it's not the actual mining (according to the app details)? Roll Eyes

Like they could actually test it on every device, with different Android versions! It's not like they have a dangerous bug, from what I understand it just has something to do with the notification and the aggresive power saving some Android versions have.
As for your question: They are unsold coins from the ICO, or in other word, part of premined coins that were meant to be distributed to the community in various ways.
I'm sorry but I can't find a source for it, I just remember it from when Electroneum was starting.

This is nice project but tradeogre is to small exchange...
It is already available on livecoin.net with following pairs

IPBC/BTC
IPBC/ETH
IPBC/USD
IPBC/XMR

And is this livecoin a big one? First time I've ever heard of it. At least I had heard of tradeogre before IPBC... maybe once! Tongue

Goldman Sachs to Open a Bitcoin Trading Operation

When can I claim tokens?

I logged in on my account and they were there. I had an option to send them but I didn't try it.
I'm just gonna wait for the card and try to use my balance for purchases instead of trading them.

Hi guys,
Im trying to send my ETN from https://my.electroneum.com/ to Cryptopia, but Transactions status is "Unable to determine transaction hash" and no coin sent. Balance doesnt change.
What should i do now?

why not try to resend it if balance remain the same
I did it, tried 4 times but no luck  Angry

Maybe something's wrong with the receiving address? Have you also provided the "PaymentId" when you try to send the coins?
Also I'd try to use my phone since something might be different and it'll work? Probably not... but why not give it a try! Grin
1898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: May 02, 2018, 12:48:47 PM
why does ark not reach the same tx/s as other Dpos projects like eos, bitshares and steem?

shoudn't we reduce our block time and time to finality in order to become usefull for application builders?

Because others lie and hype so they could pump. I'm sure FX Thoorens could just say Ark can do 10k TPS and still no one would have any clue, just like other scam liars. Anything with Ark is possible just like Bitcoin but the storage would balloon up too much and too fast. The more TPS the faster bigger storage, those scammers just put out TPS out of their ass. You know, those scammers claim it that way but their whole blockchain don't even have 10k transactions per day. They just claim it so they could hype. Think about it, what is the point of claiming they have 100k or 100million TPS per second but their blockchain for the entire day don't even have 10k transactions? It don't make sense but seem everyone buy into this TPS hype scam. Eth claimed something like this then they choke like a chicken. Don't forget the bottleneck of the node who forging the block.
It's not possible to have 10k, 100k or 1m tx/s with decentralized because the chance a person node/computer who forging the block can't handle it, it's possible with a centralized blockchain with one or two supercomputers to handle this. All and all you can't have cake and eat it.

Example Ark could lower block time from 8 seconds with 2Ark to 4 seconds with 1Ark, then 150/tps now become 300/tps. Low to 1second then 1200/tps etc.. but the trade off with storage is not worth it in my view and their is no point to it when most scam blockchains have less than 10k transactions day.

I've done Ark.v2 TPS calculation, 150 transactions per block = 1,620,000 daily transactions, which is plenty. Currently Bitcoin have about 200k and Ether about 700k daily transactions. Eth all time high about 1,200,000 transactions daily and it choke the fukk out of it. If Ark lower it block time from 8seconds to 1second as I mentioned above it can do 12,960,000 transactions daily.

TPS = pure hype scam

Great explanation, why do you even need 10 000 transactions per second when no one is going to use it, this is just pure hype and marketing. It's not possible to have high tx/s unless you have a centralized coin

Or unless the data you transfer as very simple. Like X amount of coins were transfered from wallet Y to wallet Z.
But ARK is a complicated ecosystem that (from what I understand) can contain a lot of different informations about smart contracts, swaps, info on bridged blockchains and I dunno what else. That probably makes every transactions bigger in size than for example XRP which is probably the fastest coin at the moment. (And before you tell me XRP is centrilized, do your research please!)

i must have mest up or something ,i run 10 1080 ti and got $13.00 a day on zec HuhHuhHuhHuh??please list pools that pay out $6 to $10 a card thanks .
Use this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3370685.0 and mine Ethereum now...
Why are you trying to give bad advice? Just use calculator and brain and you`ll see that ravencoins is more profitable then eth.
But on the other hand - then you are mining eth, my profit grows up.

But maybe tomorrow RVN is 20% down on price and ETH 20% up! Wink
I'm not against RVN, my point is that he may be confident that ETH will keep rising and he doesn't want to bother himself with exchanges, so he just mines his favorite coin and holding it.
1900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: May 02, 2018, 06:51:45 AM
I had high hopes for Electroneum, had my rig mining ETN, bought some and even recommended it to a friend, but it's seems to have all gone a bit pear-shaped recently. The delay in making it ASIC resistant has not helped, so I've moved onto mining another coin and both me and my friend sold our ETN some time ago.
Maybe it will be more attractive in the months to come, time will tell.

How do you define "attractive"? Does a higher price make it more attractive to you? Because it should be the other way around, at least for investors (and I consider myself one).
The lower the price of any security the better, it offers a better risk/reward ratio.
If you believed in this project enough to buy somewhen in the past, you should have bought even more with the price it has reached now, not sell.

The only exception would be a downturn to the project's roadmap, but I haven't noticed anything of that sort with Electroneum.
