What is the status with bholzer?
Bholzer has nothing to do with this project. I still keep wondering how this dude managed to convince me about his credibility with all his cheap talk... I really wonder if Bholzer will ever come on board or not, it seem alot of the stuff he said was all talk anyway, (eg, updating to latest bitcoin core) He may be a very good dev indeed, but seriously, i dont see murraycoin going anywhere soon. Correct me if im wrong. lol bee nice eezzz lol His words gave us hope, which can always be thanked for, but I'm fairly certain that bholzer, as well as a lot of devs I've communicated with.. stopped replying once they actually viewed the code we started with here... as far as coding goes, bishop and palm must be given extreme props for what they've went through.. to the point we've gotten to, they have both spent an incredible amount of their spare time (if not all of it), completely rewriting nearly everything that makes this client function.. What we were left with, was completely out of the league or want of the majority of devs to repair.. And if not out of their league, it would be apparent that the countless hours were far too much to contribute to what we were previously called as a 'doomed to fail' 'ragtag' 'unorganized' 'hopeless' group of grass roots individuals who were only trying to recoup their losses anyways.. for everyone involved (which I believe now is this entire thread) we know that this is not the case. What has been achieved so far in this takeover has never happened in crypto. And what will happen in the future has never happened in the world. I have not deleted a single post by any user. There is nothing, that can be thrown at us that cannot be explained, worked on, and achieved. We are Silkcoin. We are the future. We are Revolution. The camel marches on. Quite True Arteleis, his posts did give us all hope, and the charts reflected that after he posted here, im just glad i can see the bigger picture now. I have to highly commend Palm and Bishop for their work, its one thing to supply them a screenshot of what the wallet was to look like, and they had a huge task on their hands, its not as simple as just placing some images into Qt, they have had to make alot of changes to the code to make it work.

That beta wallet is some sexy wallet. I cant wait for final release!
Same here, the whole team has done an exceptional job putting together the updated wallet.

Thats good to see. I cant wait for an update!

Below is a concept ive made of a paper wallet using the GDN wallet as a template. Its by no means finished and i will tweak a few things, will look good when paper wallets become available.

http://silkcoin.io Please review. Not 100 percent yet. We will be removing all reference of relaunch, old silkcoin, new silkcoin, previous devs, new devs and soon will leave the The Grand Bazaar in a secure caravan moving towards the future. We are Silkcoin. We are the Devs. We are the Community. If the community as a whole is not ready for marketing or other purposes to leave behind the explanation of previous devs relaunching new devs etc.. then please post the disagreement and possible solution. As we making the site. We suddenly realized the first reference was an explanation of old devs.. i believe this made us nauseous. Lol but surely a debatable decision based on marketing. The question is. When do we leave the relaunch behind. When does the takeover end. When do we become Silkcoin? I dont think we are a relaunch or a takeover, we are more like a community revolution, doesnt matter who the old devs were, what was created is a strong community and thats all that matters, silkcoin belongs to everyone, you are Silkcoin, I am Silkcoin, Silkcoin belongs to everyone!

Sorry. Im being sarcastic. Quantums post about the dev team doing nothing fired me up. His video though made me laugh hysterically for the entire duration. Question is. Is everyone looking for a pump and dump or a long term hold?
If there is an even ground here please suggest. There are all kinds of market manipulations and marketing bullshit scams that create and end not only coins but damage peoples lives.. as in the situation here. A day trader losing 10k vs a family man losing 10k because he finally trusted something outside the system that is forced down our throats is two completely different things. How to.merge these worlds? And keep irrelevant and blatent lies out of this forum? And out of this revolution? For me i was hurt badly ex silk devs. And decided i would do everything in my power to stop that from ever happening again, and to nourish freedom, truth and technology into a living breathing organism that benefits all crypto. Not just a trader. Not just a dev. Not just a camel.
These are my views anyways. It would be good to know what everyone feels on the matter of cleaning up dirty deals that are hurting all of crypto.
What we are building here is the furthest thing away from a tiny blip in the map that fades out and dies after the militant wolves have had their fill and moved to the next coin to destroy.
Let me know what yall think and excuse my previous sarcasm.
What excites me the most is that we already have a stronger community and group of people working on this to make things happen than what we did in the beginning, once more, I can now see this coin moving places. Ive never seen such a resilient community in the history of crypto, we have already achieved the impossible. This is not just an altcoin, Silkcoin is a whole community with everyone having the same vision.

I'm hoping bholzer is still interested in helping us build our new foundation. He seemed very sincere and competent. In fact, I was reading one of his latest post last night and it helped put things into perspective ... As far as I'm concerned, a developer actually concerned about creating something revolutionary would leverage an existing currency and build upon it instead of creating one from scratch at this point. cough cough Silkcoin
... As more people begin to demand honesty, integrity, and quality we will see a rise in the select handful of worthy cryptocurrencies.
...Finally, investors and members of the community need to ... start contributing. Just buying a coin isn't enough - if you have skills and can contribute then, by all means, contribute! Build an app or fire up an open source project, no matter how simple,... start spreading the word! Grass roots marketing is huge in cryptocurrency! People are spreading their money across a dozen or more random altcoins and, as a result, they don't really have their heart in any of them. Pick a few you like with great devs and start focusing on helping to build exposure and build the community. Everybody has something they can do to contribute - this is one of the rare markets where everybody invested can do something to help grow the value of their investment.
I believe the Silkcoin community is doing everything we can. We are currently building a solid foundation built by the community, for the community. I can't write code or build websites but I can invest money into the escrows to give incentives and rewards. I've already donated 25K silk and will happily donate more. I've also been talking to local businesses to start accepting Silkcoin as payment and others to invest in the ecosystem. Thank you to all who has helped save this coin. Any other community would of rolled over and died. Love, Very good post, Bholzer made a very good point there, i have faith in this coin. With or without him, we are still moving forward and growing stronger every day. Alot of work is being put into the new wallet with as much spare time as we have. Those who hold SILK wont be disappointed...

just an idea but everyone knows that the market gains much traction with Asians so why not have a version of the wallet in Chinese or Japanese? This is a very good idea. Do we we have any translators? Could also work with language skins. Yes this is indeed something we can look at, eventually language needs to be something that will have to be addressed for world wide adoption. Does anyone know how many translations have been made for Bitcoin?

That's awesome as well nzminer I like the idea of more camels, in the wallet we see a man with one camel now more camels are joining:-)) dont know if you did this at purpose Well you never know your luck

Skins to change will be great!
We are already looking at this option, watch this space! There is a few things we have to sort out with the wallet before we can do this.

Which design do you prefer between these two examples ?
#1
This one is my Fave out of the two, but the Help button seems a little out of place there . I think the darker color and larger font make it stand out and seem a bit wrong sitting there next to the other button. Im thinking that i will remove the help and unlock buttons and replace them with icons on the blue bar on the left (and yes we are exploring different colour options for that!) Actually yeh. That sounds like it makes sense. As long as when hover explains the actions. Yes adding the tooltip text is easy enough to do and should make it easy enough to understand its function.

Im new to Qt here and my coding experience has only been with visual basic. Anyway, im wanting to open the project file for editing and i get the message no "valid kits found" under configure project. I take it im missing a compiler? I dont know, but im working on a GUI side of a wallet and would like to be able to tweak forms, etc.
TIA
