1881  Economy / Economics / Re: $6,000,000,000,000 of helicopter money is coming on: March 28, 2020, 06:02:23 PM
The thing is USA has always printed money but for some reason their money always kept being a valuable product. If another nation that is not really that powerful printed anything even remotely that high, we would have seen inflation at the Zimbabwe levels, no country should be allowed to print 6 trillion dollars, yet for some reason watch USA do it and not get a record breaking inflation because of it.

I don't get it, how do they not get screwed because of it? How are they keeping the world on their toes about american dollar still being valuable? Is it the military power they have that threatens other nations? Is it the products and fear of embargo? What makes american dollar so valuable compared to other currencies in fiat world when dollar keeps getting printed constantly?
1882  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 28, 2020, 04:51:50 PM
I realized 500 satoshi wagered equals one ticket waaaay too late and I didn't took advantage of that previously, nowadays I just gamble with about 500 satoshi on as high as possible odds, so I get a profit almost all the time, and whenever I lose I just start going x2.0 odds, which means I either get all of it back on my first try or get it back on couple tries later with martingale.

Is there a chance I lose all of my money? Sure why not, I can go 14 times without winning and lose all my money, however I feel like chances of that is quite low so I take it. Meanwhile for every time I win all of those, I end up with some tickets, which allows me to actually have thousands of tickets without spending a single dime on anything. This place is literally "free"bitco.in .

I guess that is the profits of getting a good developer and giving them some time, they will find a way to make sure that there could be millions of rolls per minute and still do not give up the pace for it. There was the very same problem with primedice and instead of fixing their speed they just decided on slowing down the smaller amount gamblers and make them suffer instead and allow the rich whales to gamble as fast as possible instead, that way they wouldn't have too much force on their website.

It is awesome to see that wolf is not doing that system, it would be seriously sad to see a discrimination towards people who do not have too much money to gamble, smaller gamblers are still gamblers and when you slow them down to make rich people faster you tell those people they are unwanted there.
1884  Economy / Economics / Re: The Corona Pandemic economic guessing game on: March 27, 2020, 07:18:35 PM
I didn't know that Spain wasn't affected more than others, I thought they were hit a lot more than others before this current pandemic. With this pandemic I learned so much from the "spanish flu" thing, it looks like there was political things went on back then as well, hopefully we will get a better understanding of what calling these flu's with names of nations could do and how it could hurt people this time around, looks like Trump is insisting on calling it "Chinese flu" and that is racist, china could be as wrong as it gets in everything, but you can't do that diplomatically.

Let’s hope that history will not repeat itself, things looking like its settling down a bit and we are looking a bit better, if we can keep it under control like this in long enough time we will definitely end this before summer.
1885  Economy / Economics / Re: a disease or a virus or is there business in it? on: March 27, 2020, 05:40:28 PM
Is there any chance that when the corona virus appears, some scientists have discovered the antidote of the virus itself so that there is an element of intention regarding the spread of the corona virus because there is a business element in it so that the antidote for the corona virus is sought after by many people, this is like a film about spreading viruses that can kill and destroy the economy globally. what do you think about this?
I don’t really think anyone has the antidote for curing the coronavirus. If someone really does have the antidote, don’t you think the virus has spread enough and they should have released it by now? Huh The only way that the virus can be stopped now is by what’s already being done, quarantining those that are affected by the virus and also telling the public to stay indoors and avoid crowded places.

The virus will soon be subdued I believe and after that, businesses will start up again and everything resume and return to normal.
1886  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies play the role of real money as medium of exchange? on: March 27, 2020, 03:51:56 PM
I think digital goods are the real thing that we should focus on, like for example gaming world is billions of dollars worth and crypto is a great way to enter that as well. Look at crypto, it has a lot of people who are technical as well, engineers, developers, many people who understand about stem stuff and in return those people usually either code the games as well or they like to play games.

So, we do have a lot of stuff in common with the gaming world but for some reason whenever an altcoin was created connecting crypto to gaming, it never worked out, gaming people are smart and do not get fooled all that easily. Long story short we can make those type of digital stuff like gift codes, steam purchases, netflix subscriptions and stuff like that which are purely digital and can't be hold in hand, could be all crypto if we focus on it.

Just wondering...  If everybody is risk adverse and holding cash due to the break down of the price and the outbreak, wouldn't a lot of people in the space hold USDT too?  I think FJ should start accepting USDT deposits (all three issued in Omni, Tron and the Ethereum).
USDT does make sense if it wasn't tether behind it. I am not against the idea of a stablecoin, they are actually quite good and right now USDT is the big one that everyone uses and there is an increasing demand for it, they literally just printed 120 million dollars worth of USDT recently just to cover the demand and they can literally print as much as they want as long as it gets bought there is no trouble for them. They can literally print 10 billion dollars and sell to market and as long as people are willing to buy it there is no problem.

A power like that should not belong to a company like tether or bitfinex that constantly gets sued by governments and even has to work with a bahamian bank to avoid regulations and simply steal your money. So, concept of stablecoin is cool, USDT is not.
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: March 27, 2020, 09:08:47 AM
Honestly if I am too involved enough to actually put my reputation at stake, that already means I have done too much, I should definitely stop waaaaaay before my reputation getting to be at the stakes. But if we are talking about someone who got to a place where they have to put their reputation at stake to continue gambling, they totally would, they came all that way already being a gambler anyway, so they wouldn't stop there.

If we are talking about a situation where it is not really a "gambling" but something more real life and you have to put your reputation at risk and do something that may or may not happen, that is different, it depends on what I am gambling on and what I will get in return, if the return is good and the chances are good, I may do it.
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 27, 2020, 08:39:26 AM
I have talked with few places in the crypto casino world and they are all telling me that their numbers are through the rough!

They are all getting a lot more customers than they usually do and they have been making a ton of money as well because most of those people are so bored that they do not stop when they win and they continue to gamble to pass the time and end up losing even when they were ahead just a few hours ago, so it is actually the greatest time to own a crypto casino.

Obviously, these places spent months to launch, years to build a reputation and now they are taking advantage of that, no place that can start right away and get customers can become big these days because they are all new and have to prove themselves first. I guess it is like any other business, you have to build some relationships first.
1890  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which bitcoin trading platform is easy and reliable on: March 26, 2020, 06:37:00 PM
If you’re just looking for a platform where you can easily buy Bitcoin and store in your wallet, I recommend you go for Coinbase. Coinbase is a good platform, it’s very easy to use and the platform has a simple interface that even newbies that can easily get the hang of it. With Coinbase you’re also protected since they carry out the trade, you just click and buy.

But, I have seen someone mention once that Coinbase is not fully functional in their country, if it’s same with you, then you should check out Binance, but this one is going to be hard for you to grab or it might be easy since you’re no longer a newbie and seem to have been here for a long time.
1891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Coronavirus never happened on: March 26, 2020, 05:56:57 PM
Are we really sure it would have been same? I mean sure corona affected a lot but I think economy was going bad anyway, maybe not this bad, maybe not this fast, but it was going bad all the same.

Eventually we would have reached this point, however that only affects the other stuff, crypto would have been better for sure because all others would have fallen slow by slow and people would see it as a bad thing for them and moved to crypto however now everyone sold everything so it turned out a lot worse for us because it was sudden so there is some affects for sure I am not going to deny that but we can't say that all of it was tied to corona. On top of that if corona never happened, we would had a lot of companies staying same, now we have tons of sectors all closing down as well.
1892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying low selling high ain't always successful on: March 26, 2020, 04:56:57 PM
Buying the dip has its bad side and that's unable to predict market movement You buy the dip, it goes dipper. You buy the high, it goes dipper, you convert to usdt, it starts surging ....I quit buying low selling high for now
That’s just how it is, and there’s really nothing you can do about it. That’s why it’s best to always use an amount that you’re comfortable with when you’re investing in cryptocurrency, the price fluctuates a lot. The importance investing an amount that you can afford is so that if the price should fall you will not be bothered and you will continue to hold for as long as it takes for the price to recover.

There are people who don’t understand Bitcoin and they are mainly newbies, who think that Bitcoin is just a means to double their money, so they invest all their money and regret later. Don’t be like such people, understand the risk and do what you’re supposed to do. You’re not even a newbie.
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old crypto ways fades away easily on: March 26, 2020, 09:57:38 AM
Things hardly remain the same, as time goes on it starts to change and it’s up to us to adapt to those changes. And you know for sure why coins and tokens listed on popular exchanges has higher chances of succeeding is because those exchanges are highly trusted and when coins are listed on big exchanges they are likely to gain investors than when you list them on poor exchanges that are not even popular.

I don’t think you will be interested in trading a coin that is listed on an exchange that is known for promoting failed coins.
1894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: March 26, 2020, 08:39:57 AM
That’s your choice, everyone has different purpose as to why they have invested and I also don’t know which coins you have invested your money. You should study the coins and do some technical analysis; if you think the coins are going to recover later you should keep on holding so that you don’t miss out. If you feel the coin you have invested is not right for you, you can either exchange them for better coins or sell them, it’s all up to you.

I have invested in ETH, Bitcoin, ChainLink, and Stellar. I am not going to be selling yet. Over 70% of my investment is in Bitcoin, and I strongly believe they will recover, they are all already going up.
1895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: March 24, 2020, 06:04:45 PM
This is what I’m seriously worried about. There are countries where social distancing will be difficult to achieve. Especially countries where there are so much poverty, what are the people going to do in such countries?

Seriously it’s not going to be easy when it comes to such countries because people wouldn’t want to stay on lockdown when they don’t have something to eat – I don’t even need to mention the places I’m referring to because you all already know the places I’m referring to when I said poverty-stricken countries. These are the countries where the government don’t even give a damn about citizens, only the rich survive.
1896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How About Bitcointalk raise Money in BTC to Donate on fight against Coronavirus on: March 24, 2020, 05:21:28 PM
You do have a good idea, but I don’t know if they are really going to do such a thing here. This is something that is meant for the admin to start up, because they are the only ones that can be trusted. If the admin can create such campaign and create a particular address for the donation, lots of people here will be happily donate their bitcoins to help countries that are affected by the corona virus.

But since, there’s nothing like that yet, I believe there are still other means that you can help in fighting this pandemic, you can donate through other organizations in your country that handles situations like this. I guess in the past only few individuals did that hence we can expect the same rather than anything officially from bitcointalk.
1897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency. on: March 24, 2020, 02:23:54 PM
They are both good and you already said it that they have their own differences. I haven’t used Bitcoin to make any purchase before , it has always been fiat that I’m using anytime I want to make purchase; when I’m buying things online I make payments using PayPal or I just pay with my card.

As for Bitcoin the only thing I have been doing with it is just transaction and it has been between me and people that are making use of it, which there isn’t much people that I know that are making use of it. And another thing is that you can’t leave your money in a cryptocurrency wallet if you’re afraid of losing it, though the price can go up as well.
1898  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: March 24, 2020, 01:55:07 PM
Everyone thinks like bitcoin is not top 3 in many places already. What you guys are not realizing that, if you live in Europe you use euro, you may also use dollars in some places, but bitcoin is following them, you don't use Chinese yuan in Europe when you are spending somewhere, take a look at what companies accepts in Europe, you will see that it is mainly euro and maybe dollars, following that is bitcoin. Maybe we are not top 3, maybe we are top 10, but there are not that many currencies you can use there.

Same goes for almost all nations, you can use their fiat, dollar, and maybe one or two other ones but bitcoin follows that. Plus it is global and when you want to send money from one place to another bitcoin is still top 10, when you want to do it under 100 dollars it is definitely top 5.
1899  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 24, 2020, 12:38:29 PM
I am also worried about this Corona virus issue because I am wondering how people are going to be able to get food when it hits my location.

It is not going to be easy mehn, except for those who are rich people , they are going to stock up food in their house and enjoy but the people who don’t even have money for food not to talk of savings or extra food stocked up in their kitchen, these are the ones that are going to suffer it. This is why I really hate this issue of Covid-19 because lots of people, innocent people, are going to suffer from it.

I pray to God everyday that a cure be produced to stop this sickness.
1900  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil price War will Bring real War soon in Middle east on: March 24, 2020, 09:21:00 AM
Economical warfare never went away, there is a war going on in Syria right now that is literally fought by tens of nations, Turkey from one place, Iran from another, Russia, Saudi Arabia, three fronts inside with regime, rebels and ISIS so there is literally a million ways that war can go, but nothing like that will happen because of Oil wars.

It will be economical and it will take a lot more to bring down these nations than just oil prices going down. Is Russia and Saudis affected by this? Sure they are, however they are not idiots neither, while we were buying oil from them and they were getting richer, they invested all of their money into global companies in every nation, if one day all oil ends in Saudi Arabia and they do not make any profits from it, they will still have billions of dollars invested spread around the world.
