Do you guys like this concept? I smell at least a part of the spirit is present in the DAO or DeFi. Feel free to comment Smiley
I am sorry that I don’t get how few things are feasible? How can the skilled workers and the janitors have the same votes?
I will only say they should have the same rights in other ways but not in decision making that has to do with running the company.
Those skilled workers have a task they were employed to do in that company, and they have the right to make full decisions when it comes to those tasks; everyone should only have a say in the areas they are skilled at... A janitor can’t make the decisions for a programmer.
1442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any way to out of this insecurity? on: July 28, 2020, 04:30:10 PM
You need to learn to develop self-confidence in order to really work out well.
Not just self confidence but also self-awareness because hacking is something that you can't be a victim of unless you somehow gave the hacker your information. There can be emails that contain phishing links or there can be brute forcing methods applied by hackers to gain access to your accounts.

What one needs to do is just set a strong and different password for each website/exchange and make sure to avoid clicking any emails they receive from unknown sources and verify the sender's email (sent-from).

I am also being in crypto since a long time but I never got hacked because these are basics and I was always aware of these.
1443  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Domination of Longs on: July 28, 2020, 02:55:12 PM
For the people who are new to this, long and short are two types of position in trading where long means that you own the security and short means strategy that speculates on the decline in a security price. Bitcoin looks quite bullish so it is obvious that the longs will be greater than the shorts in terms of percentage. Bitcoin almost stands at 11200$ mark and the next resistance appears to be at $11500. If bitcoin is able to break through that resistance, the next stop will be at 12300$. After that, we might observe some correction in the market and they price might again fall down to $10000 mark.

So, it is making all the sense to be going for longs right now with bitcoin markets. But, shorts also might be making profits because short-term corrections are happening at every part of the market still when you are shorting and where you are booking profits matters is you are going for shorts.
1444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Difference Stock Trading and BTC trading on: July 27, 2020, 06:44:20 PM
Stocks have more liquidity and are less volatile whereas crypto has less liquidity than stocks but are highly volatile.
Cryptocurrencies can be bought in decimals for example you can 0.0001 bitcoin too whereas for a particular stock you must buy at least 1 whole share.
That basically is the most significant factor a lot of people use it for their advantage while a lot of traders feel under pressure because with high volatility comes higher risk and you must have some solid backup to cope with the loss in case the price goes down and even harder for leverage traders. There are times when you would need higher risk-appetite or you will have to sell your bitcoins in loss as some investors/traders sold their coins in March when the price dropped like a sack of cards.

But at the same time, high volatility means you can easily use it for your advantage too and get bigger profits.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What more can a project teams wish for ??? on: July 27, 2020, 06:10:27 PM
what more can a project team want?
Simple answer: not to focus only on the coin developement.
The coin should be backed by a strong vision, who must lead to provide the product in a reasonnable expected time. A strong team should also be aware that Whales and traders are not to be fully trusted from the vision of long term improvement, this is why the value of the token should be determined by its usefulness and not by the number of holders. Same thing applies to exchanges who won't really care if the project reach its goals or not, it's the main responsability of the team behind the project .
Any serious project would focus on the development of its platform and the coin before it thinks about getting listed on any exchanges. The price of the coin gets a real boost when listed if the coin has some real applications to offer the world of blockchain.

I strongly agree with your statement that the traders and the whales cannot be trusted as they are capable of pumping or dumping the price to a great extent. Too much of volatility is not good for the project or the coin. Any coin could get listed on the top exchanges but the question is which coin (project) is the worthy one.

All the projects with legit background and real potential should indeed opt for top exchanged. But for a matter of fact, not all coins get accepted to the exchanges that quick. There is a whole procedure and sometimes there is also listing fee included. There are some projects that believe in delivering the product first rather than getting listed on exchanges and start its trading. Not all serious projects are listed on top exchanges and not the projects listen on the top exchanges are serious. So, take a note on that.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrow is a must to avoid disappointment on: July 27, 2020, 05:00:31 PM
It's becoming more harder for new projects team to keep their promises to bounty hunters, some even said bounty hunters are getting free tokens for free, meaning bounty hunters aren't recognized for their work, I suggest all bounty managers to start using ESCROW.

I believe with escrow payment will be guaranteed, team won't be able to go back on their words, bitwings for example, after a complete year of waiting for payment they decide to do another audit on spreadsheet and they falsely accused bounty hunters without any proof.

Bounty Detective is the only bounty manager using escrow, if many bounty managers start using escrow it will be better.
It is totally absurd saying that bounty hunters get their tokens for free. They are not free! They are rightfully earned by them for their hard work done in order to promote the project. Necessary publicity and marketing are achieved by the projects due to the work done by the bounty hunters. I agree with your point that every bounty manager should start using escrow.

But in that case, all the managers using escrow should be trustworthy. The whole funding of the bounty or signature campaign will be in the hands of one single entity so make sure to choose the right person for the job. Many scams happen these days and to be honest no one can really be trusted.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AVAX project vs Cardano on: July 27, 2020, 03:41:51 PM
By searching for AVAX project, the only one i found is still under developement according to coinmarketcap.
Then by checkin the two websites mentioned in the cmc page for AVAX, the first one describe the project which seems to be promising but as it still in primary developement phase, we can't yet compare it to Cardano. The second website provides info about the tokensale which is actually running till July 29th, so you didn't miss the ICO and you can still join it[1].
However, you made me confused by mentioning that you won't buy the IOU token for 6$; the IOU token i found in cmc has nothing related to AVAX project and the price is at 0,010713 USD with Zero volume trade. Please explain.
I trust coinmarketcap only for prices, volume, market cap and charts. For project related information, I trust external source and the official website and articles/press releases. AVAX project just has its ICO sale and is of course under development. You cannot expect a working project just after a few days of the fund raising.

Although, AVA labs has given a broad description on what the project is based on along with necessary documentation, key features and roadmap. You can visit the official website (if you haven’t already) given below for more information: https://www.avalabs.org
Moreover, I agree with the fact that AVAX is still on the initial development stage and cannot be compared to ADA in any aspect.
1448  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19's "New Normal" is Creating Opportunities in Crypto on: July 27, 2020, 02:46:21 PM
Whenever I see the word "opportunity",I immediately start to think about scams...
Opportunity seems like a pretty vague term. What do you mean by "Opportunity"-crypto startup projects, where someone could invest or job opportunities?
In the current recession,it will be pretty difficult to create a successful crypto startup. Most of the investors are running away from high risk projects,so you won't get funding and probably you won't get any customers.
The economic situation forces more people to stick with what they are already familiar and what is considered safe.Risk takes and innovators will have a hard time achieving their dreams and goals.
This pandemic definitely sounds as an opportunity to even to all the scammer out there (just kidding). Opportunities is a common term and can be said with reference to almost anything. What he means by opportunity here is in general reference to the whole crypto/blockchain world be it the investment or the job offers or trading etc. And investors are not running away I would say quite opposite is happening.

People are investing in new projects and ICO right now more than they did few months back. The project launched by AVA labs raised a hefty amount in the ICO launched just in 4 hours. So are the investors really running away? Or are they just waiting in the dark for the right project and opportunities?
1449  Economy / Economics / Re: Growing number of institutionnal investors on: July 27, 2020, 12:47:27 PM
Growing number of institutionnal investors

The only logical next step to happen is that institutional investors get bigger share of Bitcoin. That will be the fuel for next bull market.
The post shows that many institutional investors are still unsure about entering the market and the reasons behind them.
So, what you are saying is basically impossible unless they gain knowledge of the situation and decide to level up their game by taking risk and pouring in some capital in the crypto market.

The next bull run will probably be fueled by the new investors after they get to see the market momentum and also, we cannot forget the whales who act as the game changers in all of this. Institutional investors will probably come into play the next year when some fixed set of regulations are released by the government against cryptocurrencies and blockchain.
1450  Economy / Economics / Re: Doing an essay on Bitcoin, need ideas on: July 27, 2020, 12:04:34 PM
Hey there everyone, I'm currently finishing my diploma and have to hand in my Extended essay. My topic is going to be Bitcoin(Comp. science) , although it seemed like a good idea at start , the topic seems to be quite too narrow. I have to research about Bitcoin, what part of it should I do the research on?
Thanks in advance for the answer
Bitcoin is not at all a narrow topic lol. There are many points you can cover such as:
Decentralization.
Inflation rate.
How it led to creation of altcoins.
Working process of bitcoin and about its ledger system.

You can write about blockchain in general and how its implemented to bitcoin. Its real world applications and how it solves payment related problems.  Its encryption technology. You can add many such points to your essay. Bitcoin is such a vast topic that even a book wouldn’t suffice to fit its contents. So, research and write your essay as interesting as bitcoin ecosystem.
1451  Economy / Economics / Re: Will India be more progressive in the coming years? on: July 26, 2020, 08:42:49 PM
Honestly? Not much.

We have pretty significant adoption of the cryptocurrencies all over the world right now and not much has changed imo. Oh, yeah, almost forgot - the only thing that changed is the fact that we have less freedom in the crypto world. You are now obligated to file tax reports, you can legally have your money stolen thanks to KYC laws or Binance may ask you to promise you'll never use BTC mixer services in order to get access to your own money. Where is the progress?

I'm not against BTC or progression. I honestly wish I'm wrong. But to me it looks more like regression. We're heading toward an era of control and it doesn't look like cryptocurrencies will be favored.
Everything comes at a cost. You cannot expect the government of a country to allow people to freely transact money and do nothing about it. People would have taxes by doing so and even carry out illegal activities which will strong impact the countries infrastructure.

For me, it’s a nice thing that government is taking initiatives to accept the technology and making it regulated so everyone will be able to make use of it for a justified purpose and not something scandalous. Decentralization and government cannot go hand in hand but regulated decentralized crypto and government can. It is all about regulation and not control.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 26, 2020, 06:50:28 PM
AAAAAAND we have the winner. United is going to champions league, so does Chelsea, it is the Leicester that will be going to Europa, I have expected something like this when United got a tie last game. I knew that they wanted that three point badly just in case (wouldn't change a thing) and when they got a tie with a team like west ham I knew that they would be actually fighting real hard against Leicester, they played a great game too, strategy was on point and actually pulled it off.

I feel very sad that Watford, a team that supports bitcoin so much will be going down to championship, they were only 1 point behind of relegation, they could have get it so easily if they were lucky here and there in some shots, but this is football, there is championships and there is relegation, you have to take them both. Hopefully they will come back stronger soon.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 26, 2020, 06:01:26 PM
When teams have 5 on 5 on their practice games, it is never same as real game, real game will always be harder, and when teams have preseason it is not a real game like regular season but it is definitely better than doing 5 on 5 at practice within the team, and when teams play playoff games it is never like regular season they play a lot better in playoffs. So, in about 20 days period we saw the teams at practice, we are seeing them at preseason, we will see them on regular season and we will see them at playoffs.

Teams will gear up a lot higher and a lot quicker right in these 3 weeks, it is going to be different and weird but will be awesome to see this closely. I am 100% sure that Lakers are trying some new stuff, but when it comes playoff time they will bring out Lebron and just destroy everything on their path.
1454  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Get a Price ₿oost on every sport, every day! 🤑🤑🤑 on: July 26, 2020, 04:27:56 PM
^We have always said the same thing, this place is a place that pays 6 million dollars to Watford as sponsorship, how do people expect that they wouldn't pay their few coins? I mean you could play 1 bitcoin and win another 1 bitcoin and that would be still small for sportsbet.io, people are forgetting how rich this place actually is. They are actually one of the biggest sportsbooks you could see and if you are not getting paid by them that means there has to be something wrong.

I am not going to lie I do not win that much and when I do end up winning I usually do not withdraw and continue to play with the wins until I loses, so I can't say I withdrew too many times, but whenever I did, it was in my account under 1 hour, they even pay a ton of fee so you can receive your money quickly.
1455  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: July 26, 2020, 03:45:46 PM
I have seen a couple of big players around yesterday/the last couple of days.
Bustabit has taken a small dent on the Bankroll, as I noticed on my investment this morning.

We have also seen some side action of Rock Paper Scissors Cheesy
Yeah everyone makes money this way, the bankroll takes the risk but also gets the biggest profit, devan is basically the owner of the whole website and could do whatever he wants at anytime he wants yet he still gives the lion share to investors which is a nice gesture, and gamblers do end up gambling a lot more this way because everyone is bankroll and that means bigger betting and more fun.

Investing into bustabit for long term has always been a great profitable thing, obviously it is gambling and there are times when it is not as profitable as it is on other times and there are moments whales end up winning a ton of money that causes you to lose, but in the end house always wins and your profit will always rise if you could just wait long enough time to take out your profit.
1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: July 26, 2020, 01:33:18 PM
I am huge fan of Mike Tyson and his skills but this might be a very fatigued fight because look let us be honest and you cannot expect the same Tyson as he was years ago and he won't have the same stamina that is required to match in a boxing match.

I just hope both the boxers come out of the ring without any major injury and while I hope this, at the same time I do not want to watch the fight going too friendly and no hits. Because let's be honest it must be hard to watch a fight that is just being done too friendly and fighters are afraid to punch each other in the face.
1457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading using someone else's funds on: July 25, 2020, 07:11:49 PM
I don't care about funds if where they came from because in practical terms  the most  popular is to how to handle it to grow with your own effort and I believe that it would be connected into a good services with benefits most especially if your capital is insufficient. So using someone else fund is good for your own choices to be a part on trading technology.
That is correct but if you take money from friends and people who are close to you then sometimes the relations are destroyed because as a trader you would sometimes have losses and it is hard to confess and explain it to your friends while if you had taken a loan from a professional you can just directly tell them and ask for more time.

I always prefer to take loans from professionals and neutral people because it makes much easier to explain them the situation while when family/friends are involved you feel hesitant explaining your true situation and discuss openly.
1458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any way to out of this insecurity? on: July 25, 2020, 06:29:22 PM
Well, can you please name that exchange platform that you have said that hacked. There are certain exchanges that have been hacked but everyone has been considered as totally lose and moving on. Perhaps you are choosing the wrong exchange, --just like what happened to finance exchange they hacked last year but they are able to return the traders fund that has been hacked through their SAPU wallet.
Well, just forget and move on if you have been scammed, but it sure that it won't happen by next time.

If this is true that the exchange actually returned investors money, then that is commendable. Because so many exchange feel not concerned when investors get hacked via their channel and that make investors feel that they have some kind of connection in the hack. I feel most hack are an act of negligence from the owners of the exchanges anyway.
No reputed exchange or wallet will leave their traders or investors hanging if a theft has occurred. Most of the top exchanges have a section of fund reserved for such scenarios. They usually reimburse their traders and investors with the full amount that has been stolen as soon as possible.

Some exchanges might not be able to reimburse the whole stolen amount, but they will offer their users concession in some way or the other through the exchange itself. So, basically, they somehow make it up to their users for the stolen amount. All I would advice you is to find reputed, trusted and well-established exchanges to trade and store your coins.
1459  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome and Handle Your Mistakes in Trading? on: July 25, 2020, 05:41:47 PM
In my own experience in order to overcome my incorrect decisions in trading or in other things that I am doing, I am determining why did I make a mistake so I can create a countermeasure to it. So the next time I trade I will be very careful so same mistake will not be committed again.
That's how it should be done by everyone basically because learning from mistakes is the core secret to success and actually the best traders try and turn their mistakes into profits next time. I will give an example to make it more clear, suppose when a dump happens you panicked and sell your bitcoins so a smart trader would just learn and not sell next time but an experienced and successful trade would also take advantage next time by buying at the dip next time.

These are small things we all experience in trading and the one who learns how to use this information in the best possible manner becomes successful at trading.
1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 25, 2020, 04:55:16 PM
The perpetrators may launch social-based attacks (social engineering) against Twitter employees. Hackers access Twitter's internal systems and devices, and thus successfully tweet the Bitcoin giveaway.
For example the Kanye West account which was also hacked. The famous US musician is "tweeting" he will duplicate the Bitcoin sent to his Bitcoin address. With common logic, it is unlikely that anyone would give free money in the form of Bitcoin, without any veiled intentions.
Yep you’re right about that, no one is ready to give you free money, I just don’t know why people are falling for these type of scams. Is it that they don’t know that people like Bill Gates no matter how rich they are, they cannot just wake up in a day and come online and start giving out free money, that doesn’t happen. And the worst part of it all is that people were dumb enough to the extent that they were all told to send money to those addresses to be doubled and they agreed to send money Sad. It’s time for everyone to wise up and stop falling these well-planned scams.

The reason why I am calling it a well planned scam is, scammer were making use of 3 things: covid19-High level people's twitter account-bitcoin. If they missed any one of above three, then thy may not be able to achieve what they have planned initially. Victims might have believed that due to pandemic, big people are sharing their wealth and for knowing our addy and how desperate they need money, they might have assumed about that "doubling" part.
