Where do you keep your stash mate?
I HODL a decent amount of coins now. I've got them all in the BTC core client. I feel I should maybe start using paper wallets.
Excellent question. First you need to learn how to make a secure cold wallet. My steps of choice are following: 1. Boot up a linux (ubuntu) live cd 2. DL bitcoin client 3. Go offline (pull the net plug) 4. Install the BTC core client (offline) 5. Run the app. This will create a wallet and then encrypt it with a STRONG password of choice 6. Create a new address and write it down manually (careful) 7. Back up your wallet on a CDROM 8. Send a tiny amount of your current stash to the address you wrote down. 9. Verify that's everything went smooth by checking the transaction on blockchain. Then send the rest 10.Make 3x copies on different mediums of your backed up wallet and store them in 3 different places. Cheers.

The thing that worries me about hodlers (and I was one) is that you aren't going to have much money to help stop the crash because you didn't sell anything at the higher level.
Who's going to sell at the next ALT ATH and beyond? @billyjoeallen:You don't seem to get it. I don't care what the price is nor about the volatility. I've a target of my own which IF (and that's a bold IF) it ever reaches there I will sell a tiny portion of my stash. You can follow whatever strategy you like and it's fine by me, by all means. I just don't trade. It served me well so far...

The fiat & BTC poor trolls are out in force today. They must be terrified incase the price rises after this auction.
It's so bitter I can almost taste the lemon.
CCMF soon. 850 BTC wall buy on Finex. Howz that workin' out for you so far? Just fine. I'm HODLing as usual.

notlampchop is one of the best trolls I have ever seen.
Seriously? A great troll is one who finally get put on ignore by everyone? Hell, I could make a new account and probably achieve that in about 5 seconds flat. It took him months of trolling. I think he is here for some time and we still discuss this guy - his techniques are excellent, he is much smarter than the low-paid trolls and shills and basically knows what he is talking about. I detest trolling, but his methods and techniques are really brilliant. I assertively disaccord. His contretemps fail to presume the prolific physis of a bitcoiner. His literature fails to seize the psychology of his target audience. A successful troll also must have a variety of pictures & sketches and not a cheap chinese pool of crappy drawings. The net is full of them. He's poorly performing his task and thus became himself personae non gratae. We've had much more brilliant trollers in the -not so distant- past. I'm sorry, but I'll pass...

@LambSucksIt's not much to think about, even while having you on ignore, one can tell when the next spike dump is coming. Two scenarios then: 1. You're either a market mover trying to accumulate more (which reminds me one of my friends in the past) 2. You're working for one. On scenario one, you're not seemingly doing much but dumping $ so that you keep the price down. FWIW: The crowd you seek is not in this place anymore; newbies don't own that much around here like they used to, let's say 1-2 years ago. From my point of view, you spend too much effort for too less the coins. On scenario two; your man is dumping too much for creating the spike dumps and he spends time & money on an idiot who's trying to fool non-existent "dumpers" on a thread that wows in every page that "next bubble is coming". Of course, you may be just here for the laughs, so help yourself... answer to this post. Oh wait; I forgot!

Wow.... Fucken quiet in here.
It's a bit trollish lately. I like the "a bit" part... Hey, I'm no troll. I just wanted to be heard. and for the second time ever, I was. I'm a Hodler. 30 btc ain't much but I'm optimistic that it'll be enough to save me being at the total mercy of the hamster wheel in a few years or more. Never had the nuts to short. I like to just watch and read, and ignore shrooms kit and that pony-fucker. It's all a matter of conception. The safest way to play with BTC is to consider it as a long-term asset. I have sold in the past for a very low price and got a bit Goxxed too as many of us in here. I then decided to be the strongest HODLER in this place. I won't lie that there's absolutely no chance to sell a bit when the price is right, but to give you an idea, last ATH wasn't my target. I know it sounds a bit overwhelmingly confident to wait for a higher than $1200/BTC mark, but I don't have the slightest will to sell a coin for less. One year, two... a lifetime? Who knows. The waiting game is on and running beautifully and it's nice to play with trolls in here in the meanwhile.

Chartbuddy resurrected and predicts CCMF soon... AMEN GENTLEMEN!

Either the price of btc rises significantly in the next 24 months or it fails.
Why? The bitcoin network can run on 3 Tibetan monks with abacuses. I think it's impossible to get difficulty down to that level within 24 months. Hmm, you may need to revise that; you most certainly underestimate 3 Tibetan monks with abacuses!

Guys better be real about this... What part of India are we talking about? The cities? They probably understand bitcoin better than us... The villages? They just got electricity, better wait a bit for bitcoin.
The main problem there is the diversity. I can assure you they're at a very good pace right now towards a better social and cultural level. India is not what it used to be.

Is Bitchick still in India? She has the right idea. We should all be volunteering in India, Africa, and other poor areas of the world and teaching them how to set up bitcoin wallets on their home personal computers.
are you trolling From what I recall she was out on a help/charity mission there. As for the idea you're talking about; I find it splendid. Actually, what's missing is the way to explain to average people, how they'll be able to use bitcoin in those countries. If you (or anyone) have any good ideas that you could use to explain to them what bitcoin is and how they would set up a wallet, that would be awesome. Please avoid word like "random matrix" or "cryptography" they will turn around and run...

Man, will we ever get above 382? Seems like some magical invisible wall right there. No obvious wall, but is there actually any potential reason why we're stuck at exactly that mark? Theories, guesses? 383 resistance too strong If someone is determined to dump money to keep the price down to $383, that's what's gonna be. https://twitter.com/russian_market/status/539384371707666432/photo/1Why BTC would be different than any other commodity that went down the drain for the last 6 months? The one and only truth is this: He who owns the bucket owns the price. He can even afford to pay trolls to terrorize newbies on BTCTalk

I remember chatting about him last summer when the article was posted. There's nothing we can do to avoid the incoming recession. The real question is whether we're ready to move forward to the next phase of the economy or the world will collapse in the process. I'm not claiming to be an oracle, but if one can see further than his nose, he clearly has to worry about the things to come.
