Some reasons why I like this coin
- It seems like only about 10-12% of all the coins that have been mined are for sale. People are holding (obviously hoping DOGE level prices in a few months)
- About 200-250BTC worth has already been traded, that means about 6 billion has been bought from the original miners
- The rewards are about to drop so mining will be harder
- Not sure about the impact of the gravity upgrade but guessing that will only help
- Good buzz

1.2 ghash on high diff and spiking to 10+ ghhash on low diff is nothing to disregard. Once the update on block 10500 kicks in it should be a higher consistent diff and it will provide more consistent returns. I am noticing quite a few people complaining they are not making 4-5 times their money overnight. I'm baffled at this logic. If it was easy we would all be millionaires. The same thing happened with DOGE and a few other coins. Many people thought it was worthless and stupid, till it wasn't. Now it seems like a genius idea, but I guarantee you, 4 weeks ago, there were just as many buthurt early adapters complaining about the price. People selling just before the big run then panic buying as it went up. Check your sense of entitlement at the door and thinking that anyone owes you anything for nothing not a great way to look at life. If you buy in now you carry the risk of losing more, but with a chance at a much higher return should it go up. Everyone selling or waiting on the sidelines do not consider the risk worth it right now. Should they choose to buy in later the potential return will be much smaller then the early adapters who took a greater risk, but they can still make some good ROI. Both are valid strategies. If your looking for a safe, guaranteed 500%+ return overnight then crypto currencies are not for you. |

What's the projected price for this coin before and after Crypsys? Anyone want to chime in? I missed out on selling LEAF when it got listed on Crypsys because I was greedy and don't want to make the same mistake again.  I'm expecting this to reach 25+ satoshi when it hits Cryptsy. Karma has a good community starting and I can see this hitting way more than 25 satoshi when it gets moving. If it really hits 25+ satoshi, is this the moment to buy? Now only 5 satoshi. that's 400% profit!! WOW  Look at Tips before it hits crypsyt it was at 45 some like that once it hits crypsyt ot jump to 250 of course that was base on ltc, but now Karma is non-premine i bet is honna go up ti 80-120 satoshis... Crypsty is about 80% of the altcoin market. Most traders won't consider coins on other exchanges as being risky. It may take a few weeks for Karma to get listed.... More time to get coins. |

same reason why people dumped btc because of mt gox. Although it doesn't really make sense since there are tons of other exchanges for btc. If anythign the large amount of btc taken from the mark would limit supply and force the price up. at least later. But the price for karma is irrelevant until cryptsy |

Yes. And it may take some time before the site gets back up. They're expecting a lot of withdrawals after site is up. I had 100k Karma in there. Relax, your Karm are just fine. They will be there when the site comes back up the rest of the way. I too pooped bricks at first, because I have 1.1 million of em sitting there... Jason from MintPal just said on IRC that it wasn't a hack and that that all KARM and PENG is safe. He will update soon.
Well I can tell you what the problem was. It was a "dupe" when you withdrawl. Say you withdraw 1btc, so everything goes good then 2 appear in your site wallet. then you can xfer the 2 to your wallet. then 4 appears. etc etc. So, it was a problem on the sites end. They fixed it when we were talking about the problem and he saw it. I guess he did an audit and saw some were missing. Makes me feel a little bit better, but I wont until I see the KARM back in my wallet... Im at work so no IRC for me. Can you ask what kind of timeline to expect to transfer the KARM out? |

I had 0 btc on that site as of 12 hours ago and 23 mil KArm.... been tyring to withdraw it for the last 12 hours but the site is bugged. So Mintpal owners are just selling our KARM somewhere....  I think what we can learn from this is: NEVER TRADE on shady exchanges... always use cryptsy. it is new exchange and it have some problems. Sometime you can find problem only under load. I do not believe they make really nice and working exchange and then fly with 50 bitcoins after 2 days. Good exchange is more profitable long term. I hope I will have lifetime zero fees in their exchange for this speech ITs a big effort to set up an exchange. Even if they had 100 bitcoins now, they could make 100 times that over years of being active. Could be a good alternative to Crypsty as soon as they start supporting more coins. |
