yeah, there are so many people waiting for a drop, that was crazy.
1443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 14, 2014, 07:54:57 PM
So all these guys with millions of coins or 100s,1000s thousands of coins we are going to just hope they don't all abandon ship at $1. What would you lot do if you were sitting on $1000,000?

from the massive volume there are high wallets dumping all the time... its just that there is so much volume it doesn't matter.

This is all new money

Price is parallel to net hashrate

it's a race to get as many blackcoins before 1 dollar as you can... perhaps 5 dollars
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 14, 2014, 07:29:35 PM
For those saying we are going up without reason and it is a pump/bubble...think again.
There is looking to be a direct correlation between the multipool growing and BC price increasing.
Over the past 3 weeks it has roughly worked out to about a 7k price increase per 1 GH/s of multipool mining power. Recently this ratio has increased to about an 8k-9k price increase per 1 GH/s increase in the multipool. Also, this is not taking other Blackcoin multipools into effect, just the official one which I've been watching day-in/day-out.
So the more miners, the higher the price. Simple, rational, logical.
I speculate that we are just starting to get LTC miners here and look at the size of LTC mining.

Overall, we will be in a speculative frenzy/bubble when the mining power more-or-less baselines while price rockets.
And that will personally be my first sign to take some profits at least in the short-term.

yep. new players are discovering blackcoin. new money every second, which generates more  interest, which feeds the multipool which buys more btc at market price , which increases the market cap which generates more interest, which introduces more money into bc.

since there is no massive players in bc (like 5-10% of holdings) who can control the price?

Without high inflation to acted like a valve there is no pressure release

THIS IS THE GOLD OF CRYPTOCURRENCY. DO YOU GET IT NOW? people have no idea yet
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 14, 2014, 07:11:57 PM
Is this going up too fast or what? What happened to slow and steady? Serious answers please.

There are plenty of posts about this, check my history for detailed reasons why blackcoin is a top 5 if not a top 3 coin in the very near future.

Simple
fast
low inflation
very good distribution (no one holds more then 2%)
real devs
real community
Store of wealth

No bullshit

that's the TLDR

Blackcoin is in price discovery... i would no recommend fighting it. it could end up at 250k sats, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I understand there is a lot of blackcoin hate, but for various reasons blackcoin is the current pick. I believe it will go much farther then what is today.

I reported your post because this is not the place to promote nxt.

Again PSA, do not quote or respond to coin spammers. We are above that. Report and move on. ty

Any help since cryptorush ruined my life?

Take pity on us lowly mortals!

Cryptorush 2.0 is launching soon Wink

I have 12.000 Blackcoin there, how much did you have?

I had heavy doubts about buying more Blackcoin at Mintpal for 10k and then 15k. Last evening I bought back in at 36k. Only about 3300, but at least I am back in the game.

Cryptorush lost 1,500,000 Blackcoin. That's about 1200 BTC at todays prices...

those coins were dumped under 8k about 10 days ago.... they are already distributed around the market.

oh look its the mintdev promoting mint in the blackcoin thread under the guise of being a suporter of both.

har har har har

if you really support both post in each thread and don't mention the other? can it be done? who knows, till then you are full of shit.

Stop eating imaginary crocodiles and lamborghinis and think how much you guys have to do before reaching Litecoin level :  they have been coding for almost two years now contributing to make BTC what it is now. Warren is major contributor on github .  There is no free lunch, get to work and make this coin worth

People care about value more then coding. Once people understand the power of blackcoin being a store of value, there will be continued value transfer to Blackcoin as there has over the last 2 months. This is not some overnight thing, it has been building for quite some time.

The work was done months ago, the feedback system is already in full effect. Those who claim ignorance or refuse to look at blackcoin objectively are going to be disappointed.

It honestly doesn't matter.
When a coin can sustain a 10x price increase without sell off and continue to challenge all time highs it means that the true value of blackcoin is still not found. Blackcoin is in price discovery mode, so typical charts and patterns are irrelevant until blackcoin reaches market saturation.

Blackcoin can't be stopped by anything anymore.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 14, 2014, 02:09:05 PM
I asked bittylicious about adding Blackcoin last week, and just got this reply:

Quote
Hi,

We are considering Blackcoin, but at present the only slightly interesting technical aspect of it is that it's now fully proof of stake. That's not a huge technical revolution in my opinion, considering other coins have been migrating to this for a long time now. Is there anything else particularly interesting about the coin that isn't just a tweak from other coins (e.g. transaction times)?

Thanks,

Marc

Seems a bit rude to be honest.

Their loss.

lol.... interesting? i'm not sure. if they don't count 3rd highest volume yesterday and exploding to 10x its price and holding within 48 hours not interesting, then they are blind.

1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 14, 2014, 01:36:46 PM
Been telling everyone for weeks, Blackcoin is a top tier coin and currently no other alt compares to what blackcoin offers. All these jokes of a coins, premine scams and just general fud may or may not make money in the short term.

Blackcoin is here for the long haul to be established as a world leader in asset protection.

Blackcoin will have its day and challenge litecoin for second place, do not underestimate this. Gaultlet has been thrown down.

As of this post blackcoin is just under 30 cents a coin, 4 days ago it was 3 cent a coin. Those waiting for the drop or sold out waiting to buy more lower are part of huge collection of traders.

Pool is about to hit 10 gh, 100 TH in mining capacity. The feedback system is in full effect..

Blackcoin is leaner, faster and more secure then PoW coins. People had no idea what makes a good coin till blackcoin started showing them the light.

Indeed. The nature of the internet. Even a registered company. Maarx works with Soepkip and rat4. You want these guys to give you the all clear.

Sure you can remove the software, but if you can get audited by the official blackcoin dev team that would lend you a lot of credibility.

The only dev is rat4, and I have already stated if he is willing to provide his personal info and sign an NDA he would be allowed to vet the source. Now this has been discussed and answered multiple time.

I think we need someone more credible.  I thought Fyrstikken was a software manager we could trust him to verify the software >.>

we should have him do some kind of exchange, I hear he has lots of experience....

If the cards haven't actually been printed yet, a very large consensus of people in IRC have agreed "Once you go black..." is needed to be changed. I don't keep up with this thread so I'm not sure if that spilled over here, but Soepkip was in on the discussions and has some ideas. I love everything about the card except for that slogan on it, it's sophomoric.

In my opinion indeed: Loose the Once you go Black. The rest looks freaking awesome.

You can go with:

www.BlackCoin.co
Meet Black.

Or indeed www.BlackCoinCard.com

I prefer the www.BlackCoin.co as people will find the right information directly!

As soon as they insert the card they will have all the info right at their fingertips.

Will the software installed on the USB key be Open Source? can we have a look at the code?

No..it is a commercial product. I do not want every coin developer copying and pasting the code, and then recreating what we have done. However, you do not have to run the software included. You can just load the standard wallet alone and lose the custom start up menu, it is your choice. The start menu is just launcher that gives you access to everything associated with BC, it also can auto update the wallet when a new version is released.

If the software is built upon open source software, like every other BC wallet, then it has to be open source. Right?

I want to point out the menu launcher is not open source, that was created in house. However, the wallet is open source and no changes were made to the wallet. Just think of when you insert a CD for the first time for a new graphics card, usually a cool menu pops up and then you are able to make selections..etc..etc. Well it is the same thing. However, the menu is related to everything BC.

To put this debate to rest:

Would you agree 1 or 2 experienced, and trusted coders looked at the preloaded software before you sent these cards out? I'm sure rat4 is willing, as will maarx probably be.

If rat4 is willing to give me all his personal info and sign a NDA, then sure!

I am willing to. I am interested in testing the final version of the software before it goes out.

I will only allow rat4 to vet the source. In the past for one of my security products I used a 3rd party company to vet the source.

For various reasons- you need the software to be audited. Very easily, you can slip in some code that steals blackcoins. Even if people use custom encrypted wallets.

Indeed. The nature of the internet. Even a registered company. Maarx works with Soepkip and rat4. You want these guys to give you the all clear.

Sure you can remove the software, but if you can get audited by the official blackcoin dev team that would lend you a lot of credibility.
