1921  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: December 23, 2014, 05:41:02 AM
What will Bitmain say about that "s3+ upgrade path, to s5 with BM1384 chip"? And maybe now it's time to offer an upgrade path for S2s?
1922  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Support and Overclocking Thread on: December 23, 2014, 05:23:45 AM
I added one string there, <option value=.......</option>, but when I rebooted S2 in order to make that selection available in miner's GUI, it became unavailable. After power reset everything became normal, miner is available and hashing again, but there are no my changes in that file... They were there after :wq command...
1923  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: The New Standard, 0.51J/G, Shipping on December 27th on: December 23, 2014, 01:49:17 AM
However, SP20 is a known performer, while quality of S5 is unknown, but I expect it to be good.
What makes you expect that?..
1924  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Support and Overclocking Thread on: December 22, 2014, 09:55:12 AM
Well, who knows how to overclock the S2 after upgrade to newest FW by Bitmain?.. I neither can see asic-freq.config file, nor cgminer.lua...

Nice offer. How about cash-on-delivery sale? I could be another happy customer in this case...  Grin

Does the S2 lifetime warranty?

Could you confirm this?
...We have already contacted Bitmain and they state that item is under lifetime warranty and boards may be returned for repair or replacement for free.  We would like to sell item instead of going to taking the time to return. ...

Hi dogie, are there any news?..

Maximum frequency value in "Advanced settings" tab is 200, but I want more. )
1930  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 Support and Overclocking Thread on: December 22, 2014, 04:20:50 AM

Step 4 Type "cd /config"
Step 5 Type "vi asic-freq.config

Sure I have missed something, but the "vi asic-freq.config" file is empty (ls doesn't show it, it's absent there...). What's wrong with newest FW?..

p.s. also "find" command can't find it...

After all: how to overclock S2 with latest firmware by Bitmain?..
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stop mining Paycoin XPY for now - its stuck on: December 20, 2014, 06:49:51 PM
What if I leave a miner on XPY pool after and of declared PoW period?.. I see there are still many active workers at suprnova, for example, ant the whole pool hashrate is still about 10 Th...

1933  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 【ACTIVE】AntMiner S2 Tech Support- 4300 units powering a stable 4Peta GHS on: December 19, 2014, 01:16:38 PM
Thanx! I'll try it after weekend.  Cheesy

Well, I have just upgraded my S2 with this new FW (paycoin fever...). -100 Gh to hashing speed even with 200 on "advanced" tab... Will try to OC later.

p.s. found now that OCing of S2 with this new FW is not so obvious task... Please someone share how to do that...  Huh
1934  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S2 1TH/S on: December 19, 2014, 09:14:08 AM
Well, first step is replace your stock PSU to something more powerfull, like Corsair 1200 Wt or something...

Is there at least one pool with zero fee?  Roll Eyes Actually I doubt in it, but who knows?..

You should mine in solo IMHO, at least if we are talking about UTC, especially with 10xR9290... Guys here recommending yacminer to mine UTC, on 14.6 video drivers, try it.

Probably they have no goal to sell it. ) Having a number of that modules they can simply mine in solo... I would like to be at their place now. )
1938  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ANN] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: December 12, 2014, 12:23:23 PM
They are funny. I can't receive an answers to my questions asked on their website. May be they are ignoring me.  Grin

Forget about I=10... etc..etc. Use YacMiner with the settings I provided a few pages back. Use 14.6 drivers.

Grin Sure, thank you for your settings, but those box with 2xR9290 has exactly 14.6 drivers. )) YacMiner... Ok, I'll try it there too, but I do not believe in success of that. )

p.s. result: "Failed to init GPU thread 0......"

Nice try, but no cigar. )

p.p.s after a while running with 4.9 on one card and 4.3 on another using yacminer with these settings:

--worksize 128 --lookup-gap 4 -g 2 --buffer-size 1766 -R 1664

Got my first 30+30 UTC in solo today. )
Congrats Wink Quite nice. What GPU's do you use and how many? Maybe I'll try solo mining too.

One R9 290, it was discussed here a few pages back because it gives only 3.6 kh and I can't imagine the way to rise the speed up. Later maybe I'll try another two 290s of another model...

Upd.: both 3.7 kh at 1100/1250, I=10... Can't get an intencuty higher without immediate HW errors...
