1243  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: December 18, 2015, 05:51:43 AM
this WILL void warranty as per BMT. if possible i would connect all 3 pcie to each hashboard.

Alcheminer-like scrypt miners are equipped with only one PCI-E power connector at each hashing board. The boards run more or less OK with ~300 Wt per board. From this point of view 2 PCI-E connectors for each S7's hashing board should be more than enough.

Sure the more connectors are plugged the better S7 will work.  Wink

ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com
with BM1385 chips

Is there any changelog for Dec. 11th firmware (in particular for 4.05 Th/s miners (Batch 6))?
1245  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain S7 + 1300W Power Supply? on: December 18, 2015, 03:29:37 AM
S7 Specifications:

1. Hash Rate: 4.73 TH/s ±5%

2. Power Consumption: 1293W + 10% (at the wall, with APW3, 93% efficiency, 25C ambient temp)

Bitmain recommend a 1600 watt PSU. You may use the 1300 watt if you underclock it a bit, but dont expect to go higher than the default frequency.

As you well know, hashing speed and power consumption differs from batch to batch. My batch 6 S7 is 4.05 Th and about 1042 W. Now it is powered from 2 Corsair's PSU (1200 W (2 boards+controller) + 1000 W (1 board)), it runs at freq. 650 giving 4.37 Th. At stock frequency it should run fine with one PSU 1200 W. May be I'll try this later.  Smiley

Does they still offer their miners?..  Huh

Please pay attention to Antminer's user manual at Bitmain website.
1250  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: SPV Mining and how to slow it down ... if you care to ... on: December 16, 2015, 01:16:33 PM
I'm curious how many people and hash power outside of China mine in Chinese pools.  Even more curious as to the reasons why they do this.  (If a majority of mining were in Antarctica I would be asking a different question.)

A surprising amount. I've even seen quite a few respected members on bitcointalk say they're mining on f2pool/antpool. Pretty sad when you've got great alternatives like this pool.

They just think that they'll be able to get more profit at that pools (especially using PPS reward scheme) than at other pools.

only shipping to USA

It's sad.

1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: digibyte alcheminer 256mhs on: December 16, 2015, 04:59:35 AM
have you updated a FPGA firmware by jstefanop? May be your real hashing speed at the pool side is so low because of HW errors and rejected shares?
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone has luck in solo mining of altcoins so far? :) on: December 16, 2015, 04:57:18 AM
I have some old hardware lying around. I am considering mining solo for the fun of it. Anyone has luck so far? What coins did you mine? Smiley

I was mining LTC on MAT Excalibur 5 256 MH/s (actually about 230 MH at that moment in my case) at solo.nicehash. I found one block. Right before block reward halving.  Wink

Should monero.win.x64.v0-9-beta be started with old .bat file or is there any new way to start bitmonerod and simplewallet?
1256  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 15, 2015, 03:30:10 AM
I will say, I do expect that everyone on the planet mining would have a backup to some other pool(s)
Pools telling you to set all your backups to the same pool really have no idea what the point of having a backup is ... ... ...
Of course I'll suggest solo.ckpool.org - but that of course is up to you Smiley

That's my choice! Nice to hear this suggestion from someone else.  Cool
1257  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: December 14, 2015, 09:56:44 AM
I pointed my S7 from last night ..all seems OK but on DashBoard of Antminer site nothing is there.

Any idea ?

Yep. Go to kano.is.
1258  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: December 14, 2015, 09:55:48 AM
Use a real pool that doesn't SPV mine empty blocks & provides real support in a timely manner - you'll also be helping the network.

Everyone cares now only about his own profit. "F**k the network, f**k the clean and honest pools. Let the "dirty" pool steals some microcoins, but here and now I'll get maximum profit at this pool comparing to others..." - that's how they are thinking.
1259  Local / Барахолка / [All Россия/Новосибирск] Куплю Raspberry Pi on: December 11, 2015, 11:55:31 AM
Хало!

Куплю Raspberry Pi по сходной цене. Интересует 4-х-ядерная версия (мощща лишней не бывает же, вычислительная-то...). Доставка в Новосибирск.
1260  Local / Майнеры / Re: ВЫСОКОНАДЕЖНЫЕ БЛОКИ ПИТАНИЯ on: December 11, 2015, 08:46:07 AM

Roll Eyes
