Check if both fans are starting to spin at S7's startup. I guess there will be only one fan spinning, and second will start to spin only because of the airflow of another fan. Btw, check Issue #9 here. So it looks that your I/O board is broken (the PCB to which the fans are connected). You can try to flash your S7 with 1fan firmware (try to flash it to SD card and boot your S7 with this SD card - if something goes wrong you will be able to just exctract an SD card (when the power is turned off!!!)). In case it will work properly for a while, you can power your second fan directly from PSU. |

Hi! Nobody mines bitcoins with CPUs nowadays. The network difficulty is TOO HIGH for this to be possible. AFAIK there is no even a CPU-miner that mines on bitcoin's algo (sha-256). If your laptop is the only gear you can use for mining, pay attention to CPU-oriented forks like monero (XMR) and may be some others. |

Нет такого понятия, "упущенная выгода". Вот если ты её уже получил, вот она, лежит в материальном воплощении, и её потерял/стащили - вот тогда она упущенная. А так как знания будущего от человека (рядового) сокрыты, то ты и не знаешь даже на 5 минут вперёд, что было бы. Упустил бы ты её, майня этот конкретный форк, или наоборот, выбрав другой, получил бы меньше, чем если бы выбрал первый...
Так говорит логика и разум. Но люди выбирают, во что верить... И многие (алчность?) верят в "упущенную выгоду"... Хотя бы добавляли к словосочетанию слово "вероятная"...

This weekend I set up a few S7s and found 3 of them with the same symptoms. Each of them starting to mine but the red led is flashing on their controllers. And after about 1.5 minutes the hashrate is falling gradually to zero.
In web-interface I see that S7s are rotating only one fan of two connected and it seems that they are able to detect the rotation of the second fan (it rotates due to airflow of the "working" fan). I tried to change the fans, to connect the fans to different connectors on S7's I/O board without any effect. On one of these S7s I flashed latest available suitable firmware - also wothout any effect.
Has anyone encountered this problem? Is there any way to fix it?

Справляемся терабайтным винтом от Seagate, 8 гигами памяти и процом FX-8350... Вполне себе. Но памяти я бы удвоил... |

What power supplies are recommended to this miner?
A PSU for using with this miner should have: 1) 4 PCIE 6pin power connectors; 2) more than 1200 Wt output power; 3) [optional] a possibility of voltage adjust. You can take this (or some other) PSU, make and attach a cables and set up a fan on it's top side. Or sure you can buy any other PSU that meets the requirements above. |
