1121  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yesminer M20 / M10 on: September 29, 2016, 06:25:03 AM
Pretty much if you want to buy a miner and not get scammed bitmain is your only option at the moment

There is a lot of used miners also available for purchasing.  Smiley
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: New Monero Mining Pool on: September 28, 2016, 04:12:10 AM

Don't mine with your laptop. Mining means that your CPU, GPU or both will run continuously for days and days. Laptops are not designed for such use and will break. This stands true for any coin you want to mine.

I guess you are a little wrong.  Smiley I was continuously crunching BOINC tasks on all laptops I have used and everything was OK. Now I am mining monero on my business laptop and it seems OK.

Sure I know that it can break, but it should start to overheat first. I'll just change the thermal grease and thermal pads in this case.  Wink
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: xmr-pool.com 100% FREE Monero pool! No pool fee! on: September 28, 2016, 04:04:50 AM
Absolutely without any (even dust) payments after several days (sic!) on this pool.

I can't recommend this pool.

1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Correct Way of Powering Your Risers for your RX 470/480 on: September 20, 2016, 04:51:47 AM
I stopped using the USB risers a couple of months ago and have switched to exclusively using the ones below.

Is there a hot-plug bridge implemented in such kind of risers?

1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 26, 2016, 07:44:15 AM
Guys, can I change the place where all Ethereum blockchain is stored? My C: drive is almost full...

I heard that since Mist v0.7.5 there is a way to change the folder path, is it --datadir flag? Should I piont it directrly to geth.exe (I heard also that Mist won't start if I started geth separately before)? Or does Mist itself somehow "Pass custom CLI options to the Ethereum node"? Then how does it work?

Could you please also post here a link to correct USB-UART dongles model(s)?

Latest tpruvot's, version 1.8.
I compiled it from git and it works. Not sure there are binaries out there, though.

Looks like binaries for Win are there.  Smiley

1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO CPU/GPU MINING POOLS AVAILABLE (DISCUSSION THREAD) on: July 12, 2016, 03:36:45 PM
sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://lbry.suprnova.cc:6256 -u reb0rn.1 -p x --kernel=lbry -I 18 -w 64 --gpu-threads 2

put lbry.cl file from source where is miner.exe, if needed download nice hash sgminer and put other dll files there too

15.12 driver now working fine

profitability is 4x over ethereum

I've put there the whole content of "kernel" folder (all *.cl files). Running OK on Win7 x64, driver Crimson 16.2, 2xR9 390s.

1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO DISCUSSION THREAD on: July 12, 2016, 02:08:51 AM

My antivirus (DrWeb) is says that this archive is infected. And each archive inside it is infected too.

But I've got it working on my FX-8350 CPU.  Cool 2 MH/s.

Added to MaxMiners:

https://maxminers.net/lbry

Diff increased for GPU !

Are you sure that we need to specify a "--scrypt" option during start of minerd?
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO DISCUSSION THREAD on: July 11, 2016, 07:58:26 AM
I've added a Pool:

https://lbry.suprnova.cc

Great work from elbandi for his miner !

It looks that something is wrong here:

I run hodl mining at suprnova on the same PC without any issues.
