1921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which wallets support BIP 39 seed? on: March 06, 2019, 03:15:46 AM
iOS is of no use to me, so only Windows and Android preferred. I'm not interested in purchasing any of the hardware wallets as of now as I'm currently looking for better online/offline but smartphone/PC/laptop based options for this. You helped and I'm very thankful for the same, but I want to know that are these Android wallets able to import BIP 39 seed?
Mycelium definitely supports BIP39 seeds... Android version of Electrum does not (the desktop version will let you import BIP39 seeds tho).

Electrum desktop also allows you to create the Offline/Online "air gapped" setup relatively easily... and I think you can use the Electrum Android wallet as the "online" component for creating the unsigned transaction and sending the signed transaction

I tried Mycelium and I'm fine with it, thanks for the suggestion tho.
By the way, what exactly do you mean by saying "air gapped" setup? I'm not too familiar with that term.
Which of the methods is good to have? Phrase or private keys? And which of them can be done offline (I think phrase can be used offline for the wallet to be imported)?
1922  Economy / Services / Re: Tax Write-off // Bitcoin Source for Laundering Service on: March 06, 2019, 03:05:33 AM
Don't you think you posted this thread in wrong part?
It belongs to Digital Goods generally as you are selling something and not offering a service tbh.
And why exactly would anyone bother to buy these accounts when they can create suspense accounts and tally it by showing actual losses? While if profits take place, they can write it off by spreading the money to different people's accounts so there remains no chance of scrutiny. The accounts (with 100 BTC loss) are not worth it to any average gambler and they will probably have much better options to write off their taxes. And if you're selling these to those who are into money-laundering, no wonder you are helping criminals to get released from the hands of Law.
1923  Economy / Services / Re: Looking For Work on: March 06, 2019, 02:48:15 AM
I wish you spent the amount of time you spend posting here on actually acquiring a skillset instead. That would get you hired way faster than any number of bumps you make on this thread.

I'm actually acquiring skill daily. I just want multiple job, I used to have 3-10 jobs in one day.

Why don't you try out Fiverr or paxful?
I've found certain people giving jobs for crypto.
You can also try to make a good profile over LinkedIn as to my knowledge, there are many employers available at LinkedIn looking for people who have deep information about crypto.
It's better if you also let us know here what type of skills are you learning.

<<snip>> Summarising these,

[1] Hardware Wallets
  • Ledger Nano S
  • Trezor

[2] Desktop Wallets
  • Bither
  • Electrum (you could import Bip39 seeds in them)

[3] Mobile Based Wallets -Android
  • BRD Wallet
  • Mycelium

[4] Mobile Based Wallets - iOS
  • BRD Wallet

iOS is of no use to me, so only Windows and Android preferred. I'm not interested in purchasing any of the hardware wallets as of now as I'm currently looking for better online/offline but smartphone/PC/laptop based options for this. You helped and I'm very thankful for the same, but I want to know that are these Android wallets able to import BIP 39 seed?

-snip- but the problem they are not supporting BIP39 seed.
Op is asking for fries and you gave him a burger Cheesy

@2double0 Have you tried cold storage? Almost all desktop clients are vulnerable to hacks depending on the system security, not just bugs in the code.
Maybe you're thinking about Electrum, you can't be hacked using Electrum, you can be hacked by downloading fake versions of it; but if you ever installed a fake version in the offline machine (cold storage), the hacker will not be able to acquire your seed/keys.

[just about 8 reports here in the forum versus tens of thousands of users]
Good set-up or caution is the key.

Thanks brother, I will surely try to look for more options to save my privacy and funds both at an extreme scale. But I'm currently looking for wallets only which I can use over my smartphone and yes, I will not import any seeds/keys when online and remember to keep my smartphone out of the reach of WiFi or mobile data. I always use official sources to download any/all the crypto related software as I'm aware of all the hacks/thefts happening every now and then.

Even I don't prefer C and D rated books as I'm myself having complaints for those websites, especially cloudbet.
Betcoin also had some issues due to which I stopped playing there. I have been a very old user of nitrogensports and I really like their simple site user interface and dynamic betting techniques. But still, I don't find a variety of bets available there as well as I like betting mostly when games are live and I think both of these A rated websites doesn't allow us to bet on live games with too much of variety which DirectBet used to give.
1926  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 CyberDice.net - The Future is unwritten | Daily Wagering Contest | Faucet 🎲 on: March 01, 2019, 03:16:41 AM
Hi Cyberdice,
I must say this is an awesome dice website with dynamic design and great looks, I've become a fan, truly!
I wanted to ask something:
What is the wait time for faucet if lost immediately?
How many times per day can I claim a faucet?
And for hypermode, do I need to deposit my own funds to be counted as a wager towards the required 1 BTC wager?
1927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to replace fiat on: March 01, 2019, 03:06:49 AM
In this history of mankind any kind of innovation to solve something has always benefited it does however takes its own time to fix things .. look at those trillion dollars of debt in u.s if they don't pay the entire country goes into bankruptcy and this not only affects one country but several others will be down along with it .. we need robust technology to solve such things if humans keep using paper money it will not only cause problems to the country but to its own people. adoption of block chain is very important in near future. lets see how much we care .. if Government really needs to solve their debt issues blockchain is the only way out to convert their useless fiat to valuable blockchain technology it will not only help to crush fiat and pay of trillions it will help to rescue the majority of countries in Asia and worldwide.

Blockchain can solve Global Economic Issues at current state? I don't think so. Even if it does, it cannot eradicate the debts itself out of the country but can only help manage them over the chain. I don't think there is a need to replace fiat because it is what allows us to get our Bitcoins stronger against it. Just think, if fiat is removed out of the game, what will Bitcoins compete with and what will BTC win over?
1928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to see for Bitcoin - A stable or a volatile market? on: March 01, 2019, 02:55:10 AM
for any currency to achieve it's aim, it must be volatile, ie flexible, if bitcoin becomes stable, then there wouldn\t be any reason whatsoever to hold it as a store of value, because it price will neither experience an upward or downward thread and that will mean no return on investment for investors and holders of the coin.

That is never going to happen taking into account the Futures that dived in. Now, this BTC that we are using is more of an asset and cannot really be said a currency under any terms because volatility is the destiny of Bitcoins and that is why it is becoming famous and being adopted everywhere not as a currency, but a tradable asset. I love and prefer volatility over stability because it gives us a chance to earn more on our limited BTC accumulations. But institutions will definitely not want this and they will try their best to show the last big bull run, then dump and then stabilize (in my words, control) BTC for a major long period.

I used to be a fan of DirectBet where I was referred to by my friend. It was so easy there to place a bet and get it graded immediately after winning/losing it and getting our funds directly into the wallet. I don't really want that account making and KYC issues, need to know if there are any more genuine on-chain sportsbetting websites currently available? After watching cloudbet turning into scam by not paying that winner, I think it is best to stay away from these sites and choose a site like DirectBet.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH's Price dividend to its two fork coin? on: March 01, 2019, 02:03:18 AM
Bitcoin Cash price was very high before the hard fork. But After the hard for, BCH's price is lower than Ethereum. So, do you think BCJ's price-dividend to its tow fork coins?

BCH had been an all-time bullshit coin with too much suspense in the mining game. The fork created so much chaos that even after a small percentage of miners switching their mining from BTC to BCH, the price for both BCHABC and BCHSV couldn't manage to sum up to the total price BCH had before the fork. Comparing BCH to Ethereum is not so good if you put both the coins on one table, as Ethereum is too good against BCH and it is its own kind of a coin.
1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Need your advice on: February 28, 2019, 10:06:49 PM
bearish market make me confused. but FLXX last year followed the price of the crypto king. and grow quickly. I am sure that FLXX will reach $ 1 more. and now FLXX prices are very low. on the other hand I doubt that the bearish past made FLXX rise slowly or even die. can you give me the best advice? Or do you have experience like me ?

When projects like Pundi X and Holo didn't keep their bull run going despite the fact that they are actually 2 of the few best projects I've ever studied, do you think this FLXX is too good to beat them? I'm sure it's just a pump and dump coin (couldn't find more info as it is not even listed at coinmarketcap), so it means that it would have needed least volume to get pumped up higher which lured you to ask this to us if it will get to $1.
1933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange trading Question. Anyone? on: February 28, 2019, 09:55:02 PM
I've learned a fact while trading that when BTC rises some of the other altcoins will start to tumble down or stabilize and when BTC stabilizes, alts will do upside rally. But when BTC drops, most altcoins will drop as well due to panic sellers wanting to cash out their BTC. So they basically sell off their altcoins and just buy back when lower, or just sell their BTC only.
1934  Economy / Reputation / Re: An obvious case of trust abuse (DT members welcome) on: February 28, 2019, 09:48:32 PM
I think that if the posts are on-topic and of very good quality, then a person cannot be considered a spammer even if he/she does it in a row. What is this forum for? Information. And if that is being given to users, then I find nothing wrong in doing that given that the posts are of any added value to the debate and the pure intention was to help and not to increase post count alone. I'm not advocating deisik in this matter, but just putting my own views on how I see this.
1935  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is stoploss worth it ? on: February 28, 2019, 09:22:20 PM
Stop loss isn't so good if hit, trailing stop is.
If you keep changing your stop loss every time it hits one of your targets, it will definitely be a win-win situation in the long run as even if it gets back to the original price from where you entered, it will not hit your capital so hard which you can compare while having no stop loss and losing a big share.
1936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Address to wallet matching. on: February 28, 2019, 08:54:43 PM
Hi,

If i send bitcoins from my blockchain wallet to my coinbase wallet, is it possible to know that the coins came from a coinbase wallet by the bitcoin address?

I wish it could happen, this would also have helped in recognizing scammers and bust them more quick.
There is a service called https://walletexplorer.com where you can try your luck and maybe know as well which address belongs to which wallet (it may not show you names probably but it can definitely show you connections). They try their best to label addresses and wallets to their specific Services.
1937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal fears Bitcoin :) PayPal CEO Dan Schulman Disses BTC & Praises Blockchain on: February 28, 2019, 01:39:45 PM
Fuck PayPal, who uses it nowadays?
Bitcoin surpassed PayPal in terms of total yearly transaction volume at $1.3 trillion.
More info here - https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/02/26/bitcoin-surpasses-paypal-in-yearly-transaction-volume-at-1-3-trillion/

That's the main reason that scared PayPal and all its employees as well as CEO himself that he couldn't resist himself from showing up and responding under the effect of jealousy. I don't really count anyone to anything if they belong to PayPal, I personally hate them for all their shady holds, especially their 21 day hold and account freezing.
1938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do most of You Traders just use a Laptop for trading with??? ? on: February 27, 2019, 11:41:43 PM
I am thinking to buy a new computer. Fun. Wondering what you guys use?

Whichever you buy, keep everything backed up. You can have an external hard disk for that purpose.

I do it with my smartphone if you are fine with small screen (comparing smartphone to laptop or desktop) as I use fullscreen to watch the charts and I don't take worried decisions. But if you want to trade like scalping technically and you want to do it within a fraction of a second or something like that, then laptop or PC is good.

Do you have a VPN or a personal Hotspot?

I don't use VPN as in my country, we are neither allowed nor banned from using crypto so I'm fine. You can use HotShield if you want to. Personal hotspot is fine if you are getting good data volume to be used daily.

1939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Samsung Galaxy S10 Crypto Offering A bullish sign? on: February 27, 2019, 11:23:50 PM
Let's be honest, it's just the feature on the mobile phone. This will not have impact on the market, such expectations are exaggerated. It's a positive news because other companies would probably follow this example to stay competitive and on the general level is good news for cryptocurrencies overall but don't expect this will rise the price. Even if it will, this will be in a very small range and short term.

Why do you think this will not affect the price in any means? Samsung is one of the best and highly used brands in the world and it holds a very handsome share in terms of smartphone sales, so why can't it accelerate crypto purchases when those who don't know nothing about crypto will get to know through it? All the media is currently capturing this and this has become news, so what makes you think that there will be no impact?
Cheer up, we are being mainstreamed!
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [FEB 2019] Fees are low, use this opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs! on: February 27, 2019, 11:12:41 PM
Consolidate Bump!

<<image snip>>

At some point last year, I saw recommended fees rise to more than 50 sat/byte, when blocks were full during large market fluctuations. Fees are low again! Consolidate your small inputs while you can, low fees won't last forever.
Recently, fees for a fast transaction are around 20 sat/byte. To consolidate, wait until it's lower again Smiley
1 sat/byte is still possible.

Not 20, but I paid more than 40 in a recent transaction as the wallet recommended me 40 sat/byte to get my transaction confirmed in the next block. Can you provide me with any good source which can give better assumption of fees that how much should I put to get fastest confirmation? I don't think wallets are giving accurate fee sizes as it should not be this expensive for me alone. Did anyone else pay such high fees like me during Feb 2019?
